My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Joy’s Christmas Escape (The Marshal’s Mail Order Bride Book 1) by P. Creeden is a great historical holiday book
Joy Stewart, a teacher, has never been fortunate. Her father passed away prior to her birth. Her mother moved far away and remarried, leaving her in the care of her grandma. Therefore, her debtors call her once her grandma passes away from sickness. And as recompense for his debt, one of them is determined to marry Joy. Joy’s misfortune looks to be getting worse; she needs a Christmas miracle, and her grandma is working on one. Marshal Jack Bolling has discovered that he needs a babysitter. He now has custody of his four-year-old twin niece and nephew following the untimely deaths of his sister and her husband. He has been looking for a suitable nanny for them for more than a month, but he hasn’t been able to find one that can afford what a marshal makes or on his pay.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down
