This book was a trip and a half. It did start fairly slow for me, but then about halfway through, it picked up. It is so full of drama and action, and I found myself falling in love with Jasmine’s character development as well as her friendship with Blake. I’ll definitely be waiting for the next book, cause I gotta know what happens next!

This is a cute book! I read this to my grandson who loved the animals and Ben making his biscuits. The story was engaging and the illustrations keeps the reader turning the pages. I enjoyed how Ben came up with his idea from watching his cat! The author also includes the recipe at the end of the book for readers to try on their own. It was an enjoyable read!

Let me start by saying this is the only book in this series I’ve read. And I plan to go back at some point and read the others. Which could very well change what I’m saying now. But we shall see… Well what’s there to say. Heart’s Escape was different. There were elements I enjoyed and others I didn’t. However, in saying that the parts I enjoyed and the way the author presented the story outweighed the parts I didn’t enjoy. Written in a duel pov the chapters go back and forth between the 2 main characters. Which I’m okay with. It flows, it works. It gives essence to the story. A girl on the run. A man that needs to be found. Alindra and Phaedron set out on a journey to achieve both those tasks. Alindra, a Summer Kingdom magician, is planning to run. Leave the kingdom. This isn’t the place for her any longer. So it seems. What she didn’t expect was a portal to open up into the room and Phaedron to ask for her help. Before she could agree the portal spit him out and collapsed. She knew he had magic. Otherwise how’d he get there. She also knows he is from the Fall Kingdom. So what’s he doing here? Phaedron needs a magician and the magician in his realm can’t be trusted. When he meets Alindra he is blown away. One by her beauty but also because she was so willing to help. But can she be trusted? He agrees to help her with her escape plan. Well that escape plan goes all sorts of wrong and now they are on the run. Secrets ruin everything. So as secrets start to come to light it makes their adventure more interesting. Does Alindra end up in the Fall Kingdom? Does Alindra help Phaedron get his brother back? Twists turns and obstacles, sometimes leading in a different direction. Which keeps the story intriguing! The character growth, at times hard to see in the end, worked out. Do you like supernatural romances, with some mystery thrown in? If so, this story is for you! You will get a taste of all that and more. This may not be my go yo genre and I gave it a chance. A chance collectively hasn’t turned out too bad.

I loved this book. Unique story with a dual POV this M/M paranormal romance is a must read. I never hesitate to read any books that this author writes as she is definitely one of my favorites. This was a quick read that packed a punch in every page I turned. The secrets that are hidden at Eden Cove Manor were not what I expected at all….surprisingly….this story was so much more…suspense, mystery, intrigue….this story was fantastic.

This book is such a fun children’s book. Who would have thought kneading like a cat could help? I really loved how the story took something that many children don’t know about and showed them how it can help them find a solution. Devastation. Suspense. This is the first work I have read by the incredible Kate Larkindale, and honestly her skill left me devastated at so many points. Several chapters were read through nonstop tears as I devoured this mystery in hopes of a happy ending of some kind. Anastasia Nonu goes by Stas, she is seventeen and lives with her mom, mama K (mom’s long-term partner) and Teddy, her little brother. She seemed to be finding acceptance in her life with things she couldn’t change while also finding moments for herself, such as going to her dads for a bimonthly visit but sneaking out to a party with her best friend. Irena Varushkin is her Russian ballerina mother, who teaches classes out of her studio behind their home. Tusi Nonu is her Samoan father that owns a theatre across town and is a contemporary dancer. While their love story started with sparks it ended in a fire that led to them splitting after five years when Stas was only four. With Mom and Mama K’s wedding days away, things were getting stressful. A great day asked out by the cute boy, Zane, at the party last weekend ends in devastation when Stas realizes her mother hadn’t come back inside yet from her “workout” in the studio. In search of her mother before K and Teddy returned home from scouts leads her to the scar of a lifetime and beyond. The only thing worse than finding her mother’s body, being told she would be taken from the only true family she had left by “blood” relatives she had never met or rarely seen. Her only light in all her darkness and grief is Zane but what’s his story? Who is responsible for her mother’s murder? Her father sees her mom’s relationship is a sin, could he really be behind this? While the world is ours the diversity of the characters is beautiful to mentally picture. Stas is Russian mother and Samoan father, while she mostly takes after her father, she has her mother’s Russian bone structure with her father’s beautiful skin. Teddy is Mama K’s; she is Korean and used a Slavic sperm-donor, so he resembles her mom Irena also to be “their son”. While Teddy has his mother’s Korean features such as eyes and skin tone, he has the Slavic soft blonde hair and blue eyes. Their family truly sounds beautiful with such unique diversity within it. As mentioned above I did bawl like a baby in several parts and for several chapters as I have experienced the unrelenting grief of loss, not with my mother but my Irish twin brother. The author’s ability to capture so much pain and emotion leaves your heart rung out on the floor as you gasp for air and fight through each page hooked by the words and begging for answers to soothe the pain. I certainly will be keeping an eye out for more of Kate’s work, her talent is stunning and all-consuming.

I was super excited for this book. I’m a Christmas person and love stories and such about Christmas. That being said, this wasn’t as Christmas as I thought it would be. You follow Joy and Jack as they learn about themselves and each other. This is a unique story with a deep root of love. The first few pages took me some time to get into but if you push through, you’ll fall in love with it.

This book has everything you need on a small cozy mystery. It does give a lot of unnecessary details at the beginning but it’s easy to get past. Birdie is everything. Is her husband haunting her? Is her house a hoarded mess? Will she figure out what happened to Jenna? Will Oda Dean get off her back about it all? A great story to read for a little bit of it all.

I didn’t even read the synopsis on My Murder Year before I started reading it. I just really liked the name and cover art. I am soooo glad I did, I LOVED this book. I thought it was going to be the main character that was murdered, but no. That’s what I get for just jumping right in. It is a YA book following Stas, into the hardest and most complicated year of her life. She is a normal teenager, arguing with her mom about her clothes and weekend plans. Then her world implodes, when she finds her mom murdered. Things go from bad to worse, when her dad is arrested for the murder, and a complicated custody battle begins. The only stability Stas finds is in a new boy in town, Zane. However, he is gone as quickly as he showed up, leaving her lost. I wish this book ending wrapped things up better. I was left wondering what will happen next, especially with her dad. But even then, I loved this book and look forward to reading more from the author. I refused to read the sneak peak at the back, knowing I will get sucked into that book and I have too much on my TBR list already.

I absolutely LOVED, LOVED this book! It was one of my favorite rom-com reads of 2023 if not one of my all-time favorites.
I loved that the characters in the book were older. Olivia is a successful engineer and is now the owner of a thriving business she built on her own. While her professional life is moving along successfully, her personal life not so much. She is a hot mess, going through that lovely time in life called perimenopause. Now, she has to go to her ex’s wedding to a younger woman in Belize. Roman is a hockey player who has had a successful career, but now he is contemplating retiring but not sure of the changes that will bring to his life. Olivia’s daughter and Roman’s daughter are college roommates, and they decide to be matchmakers, setting up Roman to be Olivia’s fake boyfriend for the week. What begins as a fake relationship might just be the HEA neither one of them was expecting!!!
How could I not love both Olivia and Roman!!! Olivia is intelligent, and her inner beauty radiates from within making her beautiful…even though she doesn’t see it. Roman is about as close to perfect as any man can get. He is so attentive to Ollie, and he knows what she needs even when she doesn’t realize it. He boosts her self-esteem and just goes along with the hot flashes and insomnia. Like Ollie, he is at a point in his life wondering what the future holds. He hasn’t always been the best father to his daughter, but he is trying to make up for the past and embark on an even better relationship with her now. The two are such an amazing support to one another.
The book was very well-written, even down to the dialogue. The authors gave me quite a few laughs. I can totally empathize with night sweats, emotional rollercoasters, and hot flashes. There wasn’t too much angst or drama, and they built a great cast of secondary characters. I’m so glad to see that this is the beginning of a series. Thank you, ladies, for showing us age is just a number, and that you can find love at any age!!!!

I am a first time reader of this author Celia Hart. I decided to read this book because one,I liked the cover. Two, I love reading Wolf supernatural books. This is a longer story, taking me about a day and a half to read but it’s a fantastic read 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 she really held my attention the hold time, especially with every twist and turn and emotional ups and downs there were in this book. Also this author’s take on the mating bond was unique and I loved it. I definitely prefer Jasmine with Blake vs Luke🥰I’m looking forward to reading the other 2 books in the series.Hopefully, they’re just as long. l really enjoyed the world this author has built. I can’t wait!!

Don’t let the length of this book deter you. It was so amazing! Easily making me feel every emotion possible throughout the entire book. I could not put this book down. This was such a quick and insightful read for the prequel Mission 3407. It starts out with going into TJ’s family history and how he became such a distinguishable officer and in the Navy Seals. All his training leads to his future involvement in Mission 3407. As he came from such a hopeless, poor background, he didn’t believe he could surmise to anything. Others along the way were able to see his worth and potential. His discipline and dedication leads him far into his successes where he becomes trained with the Navy Seal, not an easy feat at all. As he works on arriving there, he makes an unexpected discovery of a missing woman from her family’s yacht. The story takes further into their lives together and this special unit he becomes an integral part of. If you enjoyed Mission 3407, you will enjoy this short novella!

I absolutely love period pieces so I was looking forward to this one! It is also my first book by Wareeze Woodson, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The world building is really good, the characters are relatable and I do love how the main character, Vanessa, has so much more sass than most authors give ladies of the time! I really could feel her frustrations and could not imagine living in such a time. Without giving too much away, the author does an amazing job of making you feel empathy for the lovable characters, while also intense annoyance bordering loathing for the “villains”! It moved fast throughout and i was captivated the entire time. Some twists that I definitely did not see coming and wrapped up in a believable ending. Very good read!
Ben is ready to enter the annual bake off and is wondering if he should veer away from his buttermilk biscuit recipe which has gotten him second place in the past. Finding inspiration to improve his recipe. Will he figure out a new technique to help him win first place?
I liked the way that Ben worked through trying to figure out whether to use a new recipe or improve his recipe. I think this is a great book to interact with young children about cooking.

This is an engaging cozy mystery with likable and relatable characters! The author provides a lot of detail with their writing style and crafts a wonderful story and mystery that actually keeps you turning the page.
The story is fast-paced with a protagonist in Maeve and a cast of friendly, fun characters that keeps the reader engaged in the storyline. It had all the makings of a cozy mystery in some of the lighthearted, laugh-out-loud dialogue, but with mixed in intrigue and uncertainty in what will happen next. If you’re looking for a well written, entertaining, mysterious cozy, this is for you!

This is book #4. I could not put this book down. It had me on pins and needles all the way through the book. There is a part in the book that I didn’t expect to be so descriptive because the writer does not really do that, but its towards the end of the book. It gave me mixed emotions all the way through. I laughed, cried, worried, laughed some more and cried some more. I can not stress this enough, You need to read the series from the start of book 1 til book 7. While I did enjoy each book on their own, I feel like I wouldn’t be so torn about Logan McKenna and her need to be so nosy. Mostly because in this one, she was put into a very bad situation and she had to fight for survival….I promise you each book brings you closer to Logan McKenna and how she is so helpful to those who ask ( or don’t ask) for her help.

This book was a very interesting read. I enjoyed the thriller aspect of this book. I like the suspense and trying to figure out what is going to happen next.
This book will keep you engaged and wanting to know more. This book deals with a lot of different problems that arise. Simon deals with a lot of different problems that many people go through but are not very vocal about. Although, not many people decide that they want to join a gang and be a part of that world.
Has twists and makes you want to read more. Can someone close to you do such horrific things? If you were next to a murder would you know it? Is it normal to question your sexuality? Can two men truly be happy together? Read this book to find out.

Master Sardinia is forced to turn Madria after she is attacked by the shifters. She has strong psychic powers and a necklace that could win this battle for the vampires. The history that Madria’s family has with vampires isn’t all that great so we can safely say she wasn’t too thrilled to be changed. There is of course a lot of action as they get closer to finding the rogues that want the vampires out of power. The magnetic attraction of these two, as well as the others when they found their mates, is great to watch unfold. These stories are well written and engage the reader from page one. While any one of these can be read as a standalone I highly suggest reading from book one. We met him in the Notebook Mysteries so we know he’s always up for an adventure. The Yukon Gold Rush is happening and Mark is making his way there. As with her other works the author has put together a fun adventure that makes you want to see what happens next. This was a quick and easy read that ties in with her Notebook Mysteries nicely. This is a story of that ultimate sacrifice from Amy to her daughter Lyla. In a world of the unknown with deadly viruses at play, they struggle to survive second by second.
This is a book about zombies but with a very heartfelt story of a mother’s love in the face of deadly choices. The narrator was excellent and kept you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole book. Her intonation brought the struggle and heartbreak alive. Excellent story and narration.

This is a historical romance (one of my favourite genres) with an twist adding more genres which I absolutely adored! The combination of historical romance, mystery and paranormal was brilliant. The author’s writing flowed nicely and the way it was written, from the descriptions to the narrative, did an excellent job of setting the scenes and allowing the reader to become immersed in the era and story. I enjoyed the storyline and the internal conflicts some of the characters faced. They felt believable and came across as relatable. My favourite character was Vanessa. She wasn’t demure in the way is expected of the time. She knows what she wants and acts as she decides. I did like Jacob as well, I thought they were good together, but Vanessa stole my attention from the start. A great read to have taken on holiday with me, I didn’t want to emerge from the book at all. I will be looking for more from this author, I’m now obsessed!
Things are heating up and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Master Sardinia and Madra have their hands full when the shifters are after the stone. When the truth comes out about Madra’s ancestors will Master Sardinia be left by the side of the road so to speak. Can Madra see past her hatred of the vampires to help?
Master Descallia and Lucianna and the group are always a step or two or three behind. If Madra decides to help that might just come to an end.

This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. An author that uses details to bring her stories to life. This one is no different. This is a shorter story but it packs a punch. A well written story that I read in one night, it was that awesome. This is a story about secrets and what happens when they are let out. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world and kept me engaged to the end. They are connectable, creative, and strong characters that add so much to the story. An easy and entertaining story to read that has a realistic feeling. There is great growth throughout the plot and the characters. This is a must read story and one you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.
