A historical romance with a paranormal twist. Of course, I am a big fan of attention to historical detail to transport me to another time and place, which the author certainly delivers in spades. But I was also pleasantly surprised by the fast pace of the plot and the suspense of the novel overall. The drama and the mystery of the novel made this a page-turner for me. Whether or not you’re a fan of historical fiction, I’d definitely recommend this.
Great characters, great story and perfect for the season. This is the kind of story you can cuddle up under the fireplace to enjoy with your tea or pumpkin latte. Very entertaining and fun to read. This story will give you all the feels!

This was an entertaining cozy mystery. Sparky is quite little protagonist. I found the story to be humorous and mysterious. It kept me engaged all the way through. The story has quite a colorful cast of characters that you are not likely to forget. I definitely couldn’t put it down. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Rusty is on his next adventure with the magic ring his grandpa gave him. I love this series. It’s not only a fun story but also educational. I love how the author gives a lesson about the true meaning of Christmas. We all need that. This is such a fun series. I love the whole carousel animal twist to it. That was my favorite part of theme parks. Reading these stories brings back some nostalgia. The drawings are really cool to look at as you read. Wow! This is an intense page-turner. Romantic suspense with TW. The story will have you on the edge of your seat with the action. It is a reverse harem, it’s really good. I loved this story. Joy and the Marshall both needed each other and it seemed like divine intervention. The writing of the story was such that you felt like you were write in it. I do have to say that after the scene with the bad guy, I felt like I needed a shower. That man threw such shade that you felt it coming out of the book. Joy and the Marshall had a big adventure to undergo and they had a lot to go through. I found the story made me smile. It’s a Christmas theme, that always makes for a wonderful story. The characters were well-written. It’s a great book that is a must read for me.

Arriving Home is a New Adult MM romance tale. This is the second book I have read by Chelsea, and it pulled on my heartstrings. The Evergreen family where a little cooky, a lot loud, brash, and definitely an eclectic bunch that are in your face, but you can’t help but like them. Sounds a bit like my family. But it is not all sunshine and roses in this story as both characters are complex with lots of flaws and pain and have a lot of issues but Eli by far has so much to unpack before he should even think of a relationship thanks to the cruelty of his previous relationship. It makes my heart ache for what he went through and there is definitely a lot of angst. The story does contain some sensitive topics such as abuse that may be a trigger for some readers. There is pain, suffering, longing, wants, denial, fear and much more. We see inner struggles and journey along as they work through the demons and hopefully find love. I like Chelsea’s writing style and I wanted a little more in the end, but the story felt like there was more too be said before it ended, and I needed a few questions answered but it just kind of stopped. Any way I look forward to what Chelsea gives us next. As I said about Underneath The Whiskey this book will not be for everyone, but I encourage you to give it a go.

I cannot ever get enough of dystopian novels. YA dystopian novels always seem to have the best storyline, too. This book has a very similar feeling to Divergent or the Hunger Games, but it absolutely has its own plot and storyline which I loved. You get to know Lexi, part of the white administrative section who takes her placement test with the green garden section in mind. Her plans do not work out and she ends up in the brown trash separator section. I know, but trust me, there is never a dull moment in this book.
Reeves is the man she is assigned to marry. He seems to take his vows seriously and supports her through thick and thicker. I do not blame Lexi for wanting nothing to do with the person they assign you to, but I do not know that she would have been able to find a more perfect match for herself if she tried. She just needs to get past her stubbornness and realize it!
Also, I had goosebumps and chills galore while they were caring for Janie. All of these characters have such a personality that it is difficult not to form opinions about each one. I am not one to spoil the end of the novel, but I promise you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to read the next in the series!

I just have to start by saying I love this talented author and her wonderful writing style, creative storylines and her ability to keep her readers totally captivated and engaged from start to finish. Karina is a wonderful character who I just couldn’t help falling for. Trouble always seems to find her and when her aunt suspiciously disappears she simply has to try to uncover what happened. The twists and turns that follow will keep you hooked for sure! This is the 6th book in this fantastic series and while it can absolutely be read as a standalone and thoroughly enjoyed I recommend reading the entire series right from the start to enhance your reading experience. I know I am definitely going back to the start to enjoy it as a whole.

Jack doesn’t give up and just keeps trying. A great story with nice illustrations to accompany them make for a storytime book that will win your kiddos over. I’ll be adding it to our library. Never one to shy away from any topic Naomi brings us another wonderful M/M paranormal tale. I have read everything Naomi has written and I have fallen in love with the characters and their stories and this one is just the same. I love that this story is different and unique, interesting and fun, I loved it. I love the way it is told in dual POV’s of two characters even though there are more characters, as it is the perfect way to get a true feel for the characters and who they are. They are complex and well developed fully realised individuals with their own flaws, quirks and personalities. As usual I was blown away by Naomi’s unique narrative that brought the characters and their world to life. The Men of Eden Cove Manor is quick read, but a captivating tale and I wished it was longer. There is drama, mystery, secrets, banter, a centuries old puzzle and much more. There are more than a few surprises, and twisty turns as well as sizzling chemistry in this M/M romance as we unlock the layers and mystery of Eden Cove Manor. I am not going to tell you anything about this story other than it is a must to be picked up and enjoyed because as Naomi says – The men of Eden Cove Manor have a secret, and it’s about to be discovered. And what a discovery it is. Girl, you have done it again!

I found this to be quite the intriguing dystopian story. It has a bit of a slow build up that gives us most of the details we need as the story begins to delve into the mystery of Y and if our protagonists should join it. She wants to know the history of Y and if her mother and grandmother were part of it. So many secrets to unravel with this mystery. I was absolutely engaged from the beginning. It’s really kind of scary because in a way it reminds me of our current government, scary stuff. Our protagonist couple is gonna have quite the adventure. I found the writing to be exciting and full of detail. It is full of adventure, deceit and lies. I can’t wait to read where this series will go?

Wilda Firestone is back and still being fuelled by black coffee and sarcasm and wishing she could be back fixing garments and not training a new agent, especially the one agent she has been saddled with, but she reluctantly carries on with the task. She has been bribed by a trip which she has wanted to do for a long time, despite it being ever so slightly against the rules, but first, she has to complete a training mission, but just as Wilda and her clueless protege begin their training, disaster strikes.
Wilda is having the last bit of downtime before she really knuckles down with her annoyingly upstanding trainee, she is sat in her workshop and doing what she does best, repairing a garment when all of a sudden, the store is rocked by an explosion. She immediately springs into action and makes sure her team is ok before she sets them off on tasks to make sure headquarter knows what is happening and that the other people around her are safe, so she goes into the time traveller office next door and tries to see how many people are stuck in the crumbling building.
When she wakes up in a hospital bed and in an oxygen mask, she realises that she must have blacked out in the building, but her first worry is not for herself, but for her team and as soon as she knows that they are safe, she asks about the others around them, but knowing what happened, she is saddened by the news, but when she sees her shop and few days later, she is devastated. Unfortunately, the time travel machine was damaged, so their mission is on hold, but the training goes on, so that when they are be ready to travel as soon as the machine is finished.
When the time for the trip arrives, there is some apprehension as the true nature of the mission and the little she knows about it is revealed, however, when the machine drops them in the wrong place. Wilda is suspicious that something else is going on, but can she figure out what and stop if before all of time unravels and how will she do this while keeping herself and her impulsive trainee alive? This is another brilliantly epic time travelling adventure across country and within the dangerous web of politics and aristocracy, in the engaging tale.

Rise of the Y is the first book in the YA dystopian series, The Y Chronicles. This was my first experience reading Angela’s work and wanted to see what she brought to the table. Angela has created an interesting world. It is a short, clean story with a Christian element that I found to be a little slow in the beginning, but it did pick up. I am not a religious person so I kind of skimmed over those things. I really wanted to like it and the storyline was intriguing, and the premise was a good one even though I did not connect with the characters. Whether it is because of my age or not I don’t know. Lexi no longer knows who is friend and who is foe as she is thrust into a world that she no longer trusts. She just want the freedom of choice. With tragedy, secrets, rebellion, danger, deceit, forbidden alliances, lies, hidden diary, rebels it has a bit of everything. Overall, this story wasn’t for me but please give it a try, I am sure YA’s will enjoy it.

4.5 stars I have not read anything by this author but it looks like she writes in a few different genres which is good because I really enjoyed this book and her writing style so I will be more than happy to read more of her work. Eight mail order brides for eight Marshals I can’t wait to read more. Joy’s Christmas Escape is a sweet, heartwarming historical romance story. This captivating mail order bride tale is fast paced, interesting with plenty of drama, some suspense and tension and a little danger in the wild west. It is the first book in The Marshal’s Mail Order Bride series. This is Joy and Jacks story and add in a little Christmas elements and it’s a winner in this new series from Ms Creeden. The characters were wonderful. The plot and the characters were well thought out and well written. Luck has never been on Joy’s side. Now she needs to escape the clutches of a man she wants nothing to do with and becoming a mail order bride may just do the trick. She hopes against hope that she is not going from the pan to the fire. Marshal Jack finds himself in a situation he never thought he would be in. However, that necessitates him to step outside his realm of comfort to find what he needs. What he finds is something he never thought he wanted nor needed. I look forward to reading more books in this delightful series.

This talented author has done it again! He has brought us a really entertaining read which gives us a much better insight into the character Sarge who I first met in the book Mission 3047 and I am so glad I read it. I am really enjoying this authors writing style and creative stories. If you haven’t read either book I would start with this book first but don’t worry if like me you are reading them out of order your reading experience will not be hindered in any way.

Terri Sabol is an accomplished children’s book author, renowned for her heartwarming and entertaining stories featuring the real-life adventures of her two beloved rescue kittens, Oscar and Emmy. Born and raised in Texas, Terri developed a love of writing and storytelling at a young age, and always dreamed of one day becoming an author. Thinking that was out of reach, she focused on her other dream… teaching.
After graduating from college with a Masters degree in education, Terri worked as an early childhood teacher, and it was during this time that her passion for picture books truly blossomed. She was inspired by the joy and wonder that children experienced when reading and listening to stories, and it was this love for inspiring young minds that led her to create her own series of children’s books.
Terri’s debut book, “Oscar and Emmy Get Rescued”, was published in 2016, and told the heartwarming story of how she came to adopt her two kittens from the animal shelter where she volunteered. The book was an instant hit with children and parents alike, and it quickly became clear that there was a demand for more stories featuring Oscar and Emmy and to help educate children on the importance being involved in pet care.
Over the years, Terri has continued to write new books in the series, each one capturing the unique personalities and quirks of her two adventurous cats. Her books not only entertain children, but also promote the values of compassion and kindness towards animals, as well as the importance of rescue and adoption.
In addition to her Oscar and Emmy series, Terri has also written several other books showing off her writing skills, including “Green With Envy” and “Kneading a Winning Idea”.
When she’s not writing, Terri can be found spending time with her two rescue kitties, Oscar and Emmy. She also loves travelling and exploring new places and visiting old favorites, all the while taking inspiration for her next book. Through her stories, Terri hopes to inspire children to explore the world around them, to embrace their imaginations, to never give up on their goals, and to always be kind and compassionate towards others, especially animals.

She was an avid reader as a child, and her father often told her “to get your nose out of that book and go outside.” While she did go outside, she never lost her love of reading, especially horse stories and fantasy novels. Some of her treasured possessions are several much-loved books by Marguerite Henry. She has taken one of the books, Five O’clock Charlie, into classrooms for the Great American Teach-In and shared the story with children, along with the letter she received from Ms. Henry in response to her fan letter to the author.
She attended Binghamton University, starting as a Creative Writing major. After earning a master’s degree from Syracuse University, she spent her professional career in the electric utility business in a variety of roles, ranging from environmental work, community relations, communication, and change management.
Her childhood dream was to own a horse and be an author. She is living her dream in Brooksville, Florida, with her husband, Rick, on a ranch called Carousel Acres. They own two horses: an off-the-track Thoroughbred named Rory and an American mustang called Skylark. They share the barn with three cats named after the Golden Girls: Blanche, Dorothy, and Rose. A fourth cat, Stan, has decided to join the barn crew.
