My rating: 5 of 5 stars

For starters I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I chose to read this book… lol I read strictly because of the author and did not read the description. Which should tell you how I feel about the author! Anyway, Saint Con was great! I feel like it may have been on the shorter end story wise but didn’t take anything away from what was presented.
Jess and Connor(Saint Con as he is known) are our main characters as well as lawyers. Now that tidbit wasn’t surprising knowing who the author is.
Both of which failed at an attempt to serve their faith. Yet they still help others in their profession. Connor’s help of the less fortunate is honorable. They also met at a wine bar and Connor instantly knew she was it for him.
How was he going to convince her?
Be persistent but let her have the reins. Seemed like a great plan till he didn’t show up for their first date. Jess feeling like he didn’t care gave up on him, not realizing a tragic accident was keeping him away.
What happened?
How will this impact what was growing between them?
It’s one of those books that reads like you’re watching a movie. Are you team Jess or are you team Connor comes into play. Either way you just want everyone to be happy. The author displays a great deal of emotion and sacrifices these characters have to make to be there. Love, compassion, lies of omission, family, ect all there beautifully wound together in a great story.
