Shadowed Agenda is the second book in the Shadow Defense Security series by Mavery Ellscott. It is another engrossing romantic suspense to follow on from Shadowed Obsession, the first book in SDS. This series is made up of standalone stories, each one focusing on a different operative of the Shadow Defense Security team.
This time we get Pavlov Barislov’s story. We met him in Book #1 and I was immediately intrigued by the former Navy SEAL turned security operative who is also an author of thrilling novels. So I was excited to be able to get to know him better here. And WOW, what a story we got. Ms. Ellscott certainly put her characters to the test, and delivered a gripping read along the way.
As I mentioned above, this is a romantic suspense, but it also has a bit of an enemies to lovers dynamic, danger, dramatic developments, tension, chemistry, agendas, action, and mystery – all the ingredients needed to keep me invested the whole way through.
