This is the second book to the series, and this is one series you’ll want to start from the beginning. I feel if you dot read the first one you will be lost. This story was just as good as the first one. It held me from the beginning, it as action packed, and filled with so much drama, and twists and turns that it was hard to put down. I was so into this book that it was hard for me to out down. The story flooded so will and went really well together that I didn’t feel like I was missing something or skipping anything. I really enjoyed the character development in all the kids in this book. This book was captivating from the beginning, I highly recommend it.

This is the fourth book in the series and you don’t have to read the other books before this one to understand what is going on. This is the first one that I have read in this series and it was such a cute quick read for me that I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I really like the idea of Cupid’s helpers and the whole romanticized idea that Cupid brings. This story has amazing characters that are quick witted, have a bit of a temper, and have growth for what is needed in this book. This book is realistic in the way that bot everything happens properly the first time and it might take a couple tries to get it right. I didn’t how much I would like that when it isn’t instant. This book was a really quick read for me as I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what happened next. I highly suggest thus book if you are looking to just sink into a book and escape for a few hours. You won’t be disappointed in this choice. Reviewed by: @bbohls

What’s not to love about being part of bringing new life into the world !? Being there when there’s a struggle to conceive and then it happens!? Holding a parent while they mourn a loss ( you have to have a big heart for that ) being there when a prognosis is made ….
Maeve and husband Will live in Langford , a small seaside town where Will is a caterer and Maeve is a midwife , life seems idyllic , that is until the chief of obstetrics drops dead at his daughters wedding and Will did the carrying ! Oh my goodness this is a disaster 🙈
Maeve is determined to prove her husbands innocence . Look I like Maeve she’s a real gem and she’s got so many facets to her character and can be witty , sarcastic , funny , serious , empathetic and sympathetic , she’s a good wife , sister , friend , midwife and sister 🌸
Just having finished the series “ Call the Midwife” I really enjoy the midwife side of this book but I also enjoy that issues dealt with were done so in a sympathetic and honest way , real and honest .
This is a series that has potential to be a good series for television 😉🥰

This book was nothing like what I had expected from my first impressions upon seeing the cover. I was expecting a sweet romance between the two characters featured and wasn’t exactly sure how a creepy-looking elf that looked a little like our main character, Marcie, would play into their romance, but this book offered me this and so much more!!! I was so excited when I started reading and realized it was going to take a dark twist that I was not expecting at all! This book had everything I could want and more, a budding Christmas romance, a beautiful wedding (not for our main characters), an overbearing privileged homeowner who had an adorable dog needing love and care, a sweet innocent house and dog sitter for December, and a super creepy elf that feels like it’s watching Marcie’s every move. Add to the mix a cute new neighbor, Ted, with a friendly dog of his own and we’ve got a great mix of characters to make a very interesting story. Oh, but don’t forget the homeowner’s weird boyfriend who brings Marcie into the mix, by recommending her to be the house sitter, who also is the person who gifted the elf to his girlfriend, the homeowner. The elf was to be Marcie’s biggest priority during her house sitting, even more, important than taking care of the sweet dog, with a list of daily tasks she had to take photos of, that were listed out down to the finite detail, including a bubble bath with the creepy elf…you’ll want to pick up this book to see how this all turns out because something was not right about this house sitting job. This book was awesome, it’s got romance, intrigue, drama, violence, and a super creepy elf doll who seems to watch your every move. @Brandy Rymer 12/2023

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I love a good romance but this story exceeded my expectations. I could not help but to fall in love with these characters. I could not put this book down until I read it all. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible story.

If you love a Romance set at Christmas time then this is a book you should definitely read. Filled with great characters, it is a clean Romance full of second chance love and healing. I really liked how Andy began his courtship of Anne plan with letters. I have to admit that I have not read an Amish story before so this was a new experience for me that I enjoyed and will definitely do again.

I have read a few books from this author and she always knows how to surprise her readers. This is the sixth book of the amazing fateful justice series. This book could be read as a stand alone but those are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to read this book that I stopped everything and started to read. It only took me a little over a day to devour this amazing story.

Have you seen this over !? Not only is Connor easy on the eye he has a heart of gold and he cares , more SP than most ….. I just love the author dedication ❤️
Jessica is a sweetheart , your typical good girl next door and there an innocence to her that I loved! I must be honest I’d have given anything to be her to walk out the ladies room into a tatted , blu eyed , delectable “ road block “ 🥰🤣🙈🔥that claims my glossy lips 🤣
Jessica gave Connor a mouthful when he first swooped in and she me spitting my morning coffee all over the place with her attempt at feisty and Connor’s reaction simply added fuel to the fire 🥰🔥
Sadie girl you’re a hoot and the way you were rooting for “ Saint Con” just tickled me pink and I’d love to have you in my corner 🥰
Jessica and Con spend a sizzling night together and while Jessica wants to crawl into a hole Con has other ideas starting with flowers ….
Waiting for Con to arrive on their first real date was exciting till he doesn’t pitch and just as she wants to wallow it comes to light that there’s been a shootout Con’s truck is in the area and has been trashed but he’s nowhere to be found and my blood runs cold …..
Con was badly beaten and dumped and finds himself in a land bruised and battered but thankfully a farmer comes to his aid …he can’t help himself as he’s in hospital , medically induced coma , he’s no form of identification on him so nobody can be contacted , it a mess and his people are worried 😢
Jessica is frantic and worried sick for Connor and the police are no real help but lucky for her she has an epic support in her friends and they rally around her and search for Connor….
A brilliant read with dashes of suspense , twists romance , friendship , faith , mystery , intrigue and tension that come together in this 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟read !

What an emotional rollercoaster. I can’t believe that Claire and Nick finally are able to express their feelings and then, ugh!!! It was not nice to do that to a person.
Claire is many things, daughter, friend, former model, daughter of a tech magnate, business woman and lost. Claire wants to do so much with her position at her father’s company but he consistently tells her that she doesn’t have to and that no one expects that of her. But Claire is smart, driven, ambitious and wants so much more than what is expected of her.
Nick is a struggling art student. He works, he attends his classes, he paints, he is also stuck. What he loves to paint, landscapes, won’t bring him fame and fortune, but that is what he really wants out of his art career. Nick wants to be known and respected in the art world. He can’t really seem to impress the professors and critics at school and is close to quitting it all.
One night while working as a waiter, Nick comes face to face with Claire and her group of friends. The friends are dismissive and rude to him. Nick is just the waiter, after all. After being curt to Claire, Nick finds himself in a hotel room with her. After their one night together, Nick gives Claire his phone number. He never expects her to use it. She never plans on using it. Until she does.
Clair and Nick met up occasionally for the next year, slowly building a friendship and a relationship out of their series of hookups. When Nick takes Claire camping for the weekend, they realize that they love each other. Nick feels that he isn’t good enough for Claire because he is just a poor art student. Claire doesn’t feel that way but she knows love never lasts anyways, so she lets him walk away. Can that be all? Will they each move on? Will they find what they are looking for separately before finding it together? The ride will end with you safe back at the station but hold on getting there!

As one of the wealthiest bodyguard’s and mafia connected men in the world, my assignment shouldn’t be difficult.

Those were the orders, and I’ve never let a client down.
The innocent beauty’s eyes swirl with emotion as she looks at me, full of caution, wariness, fear, curiosity and need, all in a hazy mixture of lust that makes this more than a job.
But Bryanna has secrets of her own. She fights my help every step of the way, fleeing right out of my arms and back to those who want to sell her for a price.
The hold they have over Bryanna is not strong enough to keep me at bay. I will move heaven and earth to win her trust and to make her mine.
They’ve messed with the most ruthless of protectors in this deadly game of sin, and they will learn that the hard way today.
Because tonight, Bryanna will be mine.
Dereck and Layla
When asked to help with an assignment, the last thing I expect is to meet an exquisite woman full of attitude who ignites my soul like she was made just for me.

In a swift twist of fate, danger ignites.
I will do what it takes to keep Layla safe, even calling upon mafia alliances who are more than happy to go up against our mutual enemies.
But this is far from a job now…

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoy her writing skills that make her stories come to life on every page. Her characters are written with a lot of spunk and heart. This book is no different. This is a well written story about Seraphina and a hockey player that she has failed a couple of times in the past. She is determined not to fail him a third time. This is a great romance story that is fast paced and hard to put down. A story where the author used details to make the story realistic which I had no problems picturing myself in this story. The characters are relatable and add so much to the story. They have great growth and chemistry throughout. They pull you into their story with ease and keep you there until the end. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will as well. I highly recommend this book.

Recipe For Revenge is the second book in the April May Cozy Mystery series by Hazel Smith. This proved to be an interesting and fun cozy murder mystery- a whodunnit with quirky characters, drama, intrigue, a little suspense, a plot for revenge, crime and investigation, secrets, a journey of discovery, a race against time, high stakes, tension, and intrigue – which made for a light-hearted and entertaining read. April is a reporter who is new to town. Here she is drawn into a murder mystery with some puzzling developments. Along with her dog, Ralph, she sets about digging up clues, uncovering secrets, and revealing the truth. With the stakes being quite high, April is in a race against time to solve the investigation before it’s too late. What happens makes for an intriguing read. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Happy Reading…

The Uncrowned King is the second book in The Blood Prince Trilogy by Ayla Marie. This follows on from the first book, so I highly recommend reading The Blood Prince before starting on this instalment. There is a lot of important information, character details, and backstory contained there that you will want to know in order to fully appreciate this book. It is another engrossing YA story which had me intrigued and invested in- right from the get-go. The story is an action-packed adventure with danger, dramatic developments, twists, powers, agendas, and much more. A really well-woven story with superb world-building and interesting characters. I need to know what happens next so bring on Book #3- I can’t wait. Happy Reading!

Seraphina is the fourth book in the Heartstrings series by Brooke May. Even though this is the fourth book in the series, you don’t have to have read the first three books in order to enjoy this one. Each book in the series focuses on one of ‘Cupid’s’ chosen ones- we follow as a member of his team helps humans find love. But, in saying that, each book is a great read in its own right, and reading the entire series helps to build a better understanding and appreciation of the stories. We have met Seraphina in the previous books, and to be quite honest from those ‘interactions’, I really wasn’t sure I was going to ‘like’ her enough to enjoy this story or be able to ‘invest’ in it. But I need not have worried as Ms. May ensured that she won me over- as did Seth and Marron- Seraphina’s assignment. I love how Ms. May has crafted such wonderfully quirky characters who each have their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. Seraphina was so much more than she first appears- which made this story all the more fun to follow. This is a fairly light-hearted and fun paranormal romance with cupids, drama, chemistry, connection, redemption, and emotion. Will Seraphina succeed in finding a love match for a scandal riddled hockey player? You really should read all the engrossing developments for yourself. Looking forward to Book #5!

Seraphina has had it with her task of cupid and her target Seth Maxwell. He is a tabloid nightmare and more difficult to match then she thought possible. Seraphina has a plan though to make the perfect match, will Seth find his happily ever after or will Seraphina fail at the match?
Fun read. I liked that Seraphina was different then than what you would expect from Cupid. Seth is an entertaining bad boy who is not happy with the changes he has to make. Great read for the holidays.

A fun group of holiday stories. This is a great way to be introduced to new authors you may not have heard of or read before. I will definitely be checking out more than a few of these authors other books. They all were well written, easy to follow, and fun to read. There is at least one writing style for every person in this grouping of stories.
This was a short and sweet chapter book for kids. I read it on my own (as an adult), but will very likely read it again with my 7yo son. I believe he will really enjoy this book. It has great characters and a great plot that will keep kids interested.

This was a great 5 star read. I really enjoyed this story and the characters were great. Claire is a misunderstood heiress. She is a very smart woman but hides it from the public. When she meets Nick there is an instant connection. Nick has his own struggles he is working through. Will their relationship be a fling or will it take a deeper turn? This story flows so well and I was done before I knew it. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.
Illena is nothing without its people. I have eagerly awaited book two in this unique world for over a year and it’s finally here. The author, Ayla Marie, does not disappoint with book two of the Blood Prince series. Yes, this is a book that reading book one first is a must as this is a continuation of the first book. Three perspectives as the previous book did Leo, Cael, and Elana. Leo, Cael, Byrne, and the kids have fled Wate with great loss, but they did it they found the bay. Arkezo, Leo’s place of origin, or at least where his father is from. He’s found his Bloodline and the family that comes with it. Cael always at Leo’s side shares in the unease of the change from the shadows to the finery of royalty and holding on to who they are and not letting their values be influenced. Elana is still in Wate, suffering still under fear of her father, Cassien. But she’s only remained for a purpose a life thought lost to Leo, Cael, and their siblings. Elana can’t leave until the timing is right to get him out too. Leo and Elana hold each other in a sacred place in the others’ souls a light to keep going until they can be reunited. Leo finds several new titles amongst the people of Illena, that make him feel inhuman and uncomfortable as he fights against the rigid lifestyle he’s forced into. Discovering he has a cousin, Ares, that helps them understand this new lifestyle, Leo refuses to turn his back on the people of Illena as the other bloodlines do. After he and Cael save a family from a house fire in the Riv, the slums of Arkezo, things begin to take a more rapid shift. Leo proves that his blood is not more important to him than the blood of the people. A country is made of its people not the other way around. Everyone is listening, and when the truth is revealed, Leo is left with a dark choice. Will Leo succeed in finding peace for his family to live in? Can Ares and the other Bloodlines be trusted? The world grows and seems to come full circle for the Heal siblings as they find themselves in similar situations as before. While the world grows darker and the people more twisted, Leo and his siblings find small moments to steal smiles and giggle with each other, to share an unspoken hope of peace. Left speechless by the events and yet not surprised as Leo seeps into your soul and you know what his decisions will be before they happen. He lives to protect those that he loves. Now it’s Elana’s turn to go in search of who she loves. I am already waiting for book three for the grand finale of this unique and all-consuming series that is The Blood Prince.

I’m very familiar with this author, so I didn’t hesitate to give this book a shot. Seraphina is a sweet story. A bad boy finding his way again. With some romance thrown in. How would you feel if Cupid/a Cupid helper ended up on your doorstep? Well that’s exactly what happens in this story. Seraphina ends up on the doorstep of the one man she’s tried to help twice and failed. Is the 3rd time the charm? Seth is a hockey bad boy. He’s constantly receiving bad publicity. He only cares about himself. He is a selfish teammate. Yet these are all qualities he’s developed over the years. He was never this guy when his grandmother was alive. Can he be reformed? Mallen is one of the many who helps keep Greater Chances up and running. For kids that don’t have the same advantages due to their families social/financial standing in society. So one day when a hot shot hockey player comes in from the local pro-team she has every reason to be skeptical. What is he getting out of this? 4/5 stars This was my first time reading a book by this author. This is book 2in the series but it can 100% be read as a standalone. I liked the beginning of the book but the ending was just okay to me. I liked the dynamic between the characters a lot and I did feel like a detective myself trying to figure out the plot.

Seraphina (Heartstrings Series) by Brooke May – Review by Jennifer Ramos I’ve read a few of Brooke May’s previous books and really enjoyed them. This series did not disappoint! It was such a cute and funny story. Quick and enjoyable read! Another of Cupid’s helper is Seraphina, quick to anger and thrown into quite a challenge for her next assignment. A popular hockey play for all the wrong reasons. Seth does a much better job at finding trouble rather than finding love. Quite a comical journey to getting to where he is at to where he needs to be.

Wicked Ends picked up exactly where it left off in the previous book! Who can forget that cliffhanger!!!!!!
Shane has always been a mystery to me. Throughout the series, I wasn’t sure if I liked him. In the previous book, I fell hard for him, and I can honestly say he became my favorite character. He appeared so arrogant, and boy did he have a stubborn streak. I had no idea what heavy baggage he was carrying from his past. I didn’t always agree with his actions, but part of me could see why he did the things he did.
I was in Winter’s corner from the beginning. She was beautiful and intelligent, and the girl had perseverance and strength. I’m not saying she was perfect. She was far from it and did hurtful things to others during her childhood. Just ask Shane. The things she did, like Shane, were reactions to her painful, painful past. That’s why they made such a perfect couple.
The series does encompass some dark, emotional aspects, and some of the main characters are less than loveable in the beginning. However, Vaughn is so talented at bringing light and love into each book. The journeys to their happy endings are fraught with obstacles, mostly in the imperfections and flaws of the characters, but those hard times and roadblocks are what bring the love and light into each book! She balances both the dark and light so perfectly!
I felt like Vaughn gave each book such an appropriate title, and the one she chose for this one was perfection!!! It was a wicked end to the series and in all the right ways!!! The epilogues were icing on the cake! Thank you, Isla Vaughn, for letting me see how each character I have grown to love was doing in the future. I highly recommend this series!

I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one was phenomenal!! I hard a very hard time putting this one down to go to work for a few hours!! There are twists and turns, love and hate relationships, friends and foes, you just never know what the next page will bring.
Buckle up for a ride like you’ve never had before! The relationship between Regan and Pavlo is like a yo-yo trying to learn a new trick. The relationship between Regan and her sister is a pot ready to boil over at any minute. Your heart will fall in love with a precious little girl.
I am ready for the next book in this series and can’t wait to see who it focuses on!
5/5 stars This was my first book in the series and I loved it. JT’s a great standalone and a quick read. This book captures the essence of the time period it’s written very well. It not only pulled at my heart strings, it made me interested in the Amish genre.

I’ve read a few of Brooke May’s previous books and really enjoyed them. This series did not disappoint! It was such a cute and funny story. Quick and enjoyable read! Definitely to read books in order to make better sense of tidbits along the way. Another one of Cupid’s helpers, Malayeka, has been helping with matching her humans with such an impact that its effects are still felt two centuries in a small village dealing amongst feuding families. Reminds some of the essence behind a pair of a famous pair of star crossed lovers. In the midst of this feuding, there is a pair of strong heartstrings that are strongly connected but is Malayeka up to the challenge to bring them together?

This has been a brilliant series and while they can be read as standalones I highly recommend you reach them in order not only because you owe it to yourself as a spoil for being an amazing human but because in a way they are linked because of the characters and references to them , just my humble though ( but really read them all (😉🤣❣️📚)
So we’re back in McIntyre County and things are heating up literally and figuratively 🔥Sheriff Shane Hamilton had his hands full with a flame of arsons , 2murders and a personal weight on his shoulders so his feathers are ruffled when the hot ( pardon the pun ) FBI Liza Bartholomew comes onto the scene …..
Liza Bartholomew is no stranger to me or McIntyre County but this time there a lot more at stake for her , her career is on the line , she’s out for vengeance and matters of the heart come into play , this girl has alot going on …
Shane realises that his crime spree is related to the manhunt Liza is on and against all odds he decides to work dose by side with her and they share professional stories and facts but also personal and things start get a little hairy when their friends and loved ones are in danger because of this case and while there was a threat I was scared they’d give up on each other but they drew their strength from one another and man I was on the edge of my seat want to close my eyes but then I’d drop my kindle and that’s not a good idea and I’ll have missed the good parts 🙈🤣
Each book is better than previous if that makes sense , it’s like red wine really it just gets better with age 😉
