Karina makes her grandmother a promise on her deathbed to take over the cafe back in her hometown and to read her journal. Coming back home from the city and running the small cafe proves to be harder than Karina thought and she’s struggling to keep up, forget trying to find the journal. One day, a customer snooping around the house finds the journal and it quickly goes missing. Rumors begin to swirl the small town about a hidden treasure and secrets. Karina must find out who took her grandmothers journal, find out family secrets and whether there really is a hidden treasure.
My first book by this author. The writing style was not my favorite but the story line was good.
