My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is another great installment in the Porter and Midge series about teaching kids the responsibilities of pet ownership. While Porter and Midge are dogs, the lessons learned in the book can be applied to any pet looking to be adopted. I love the way Chen and Nevada use rhythm and rhyme to get the kids involved as well as teaching them very important lessons about not only pet ownership, but also communication with parents and respect between parents and children. There is so much to learn from this story. Definitely pick this one up to add it to your growing Porter and Midge collection.
