Secrets of The Moon is book one in the Chronicles of the Lost Child series by Kristy Centeno. I have always been a fan of anything paranormal and/or fantasy, so of course I picked this up as soon as I found it. Overall, I loved Kristy’s ability to put you right there in the settings with the characters, and I loved the characters themselves so much. This book is definitely slow going sometimes, but wholeheartedly worth the read. I don’t believe I’ve had the pleasure of reading Kristy’s work previously, but I’ll definitely be checking out more from her, as well as book two as soon as I can find it!

Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens is a wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. I love that it teaches children about the responsibilities of have a kitten or any pet for that matter. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. This is part of the Oscar and Emmy series and we will definitely be looking into the ones we’ve missed. My loved this book and even asked if he could have a kitten. He took in every word I read to him and he was very eager to put what he learned yo the test. I highly recommend reading this book to children of all ages. We look forward to reading more from this Author.

Basil is a young man of sixteen who lives in Sythica, as an apprentice with his Master, he is training to be a healing mage, as well as learning other professions and has never left his home town, however, he has always wanted to travel, but his Master is reluctant, so life goes on with his tutelage and training, meanwhile, in a small village on the far northern border of the Kingdom, there is an attack from a race of creatures who thrive on other races, so when an alert is sounded, one of the villagers heads to the capital to report it.
When this report comes in, the Low King is worried and so decides to send some troops to the area, however, other reports of maleficent individuals, including this attack are sent to the High King, he is perturbed by the news of his hard-won peace shattering, so he calls for all available soldiers to embark on a crusade to corral those who would do evil to others. As the news spreads, some of the mages are called upon to travel with the Crusade, especially healing mages, so when his master is called upon, Basil’s dreams of travelling finally come true, but his Master is reluctant to let him out of his sight and regularly checks with him that he is fully prepared for this monumental movement.
When everyone has gathered their supplies and mustered at the Crusade point, Basil learns where he will spend his time and the march North truly begins, as he is stationed on the back lines, he stays with some of the soldiers and soon becomes friendly with two of them, however, the march is not all plain sailing. As one group prepare to travel, another is called upon to stop them and so a group of assassins are hired to pick of the troops and be a thorn in the side of the Crusade and when this is discovered, Basil’s Master is even more concerned for him, so he is told to remain watchful and take extra care and especially not to go anywhere alone.
As the Crusade marches, more dangers befall the large group and soon it is imperative that Basil stays close to his allies, but will he be able to keep his cool, heal those who need it and keep himself out of danger, all at the same time and will the Crusade be able to carry out their mission before the assassins pick them off? This is an epic fantasy adventure crossing kingdoms, assessing dangers and fighting off evil doers in the process which will keep you on your toes throughout as you march along with the characters to their journeys end!

The photos in the book are stunning. I wish there were more. The myths and history that I learned was quite interesting. Scotland wasn’t on my list of countries places to visit but now it is. The superstitions and hidden gems was the best part. If you plan on visiting this is a great book to read before your trip.

Secrets of the Moon is the first instalment in the Chronicles of the Lost Child series by Kristy Centeno. As I have loved everything I have read by this author, so far, there was never any question of whether I would be reading this book or not. I snapped up a copy the moment I saw it had been released, and then jumped right in the instant it hit my Kindle. I am always so excited to begin exploring Ms. Centeno’s work- and this was no exception. Because I love Ms. Centeno’s books, I had really high expectations going into this story, as her previous books have been amazing — so I was really excited to see what lay in store for us here. Again, as with her other books, this is a highly original and exciting paranormal romantic suspense, with werewolves/shifters, adventure, action, danger, intrigue, mystery, dramatic developments, violence, agendas, interesting lore & legends, and palpable emotion. This was an engaging story, and Ms. Centeno managed to pack so much between the covers of this book- making for a very gripping read. She hooked me right from the word go- and I didn’t come up for air till I had read every last word. Ms. Centeno has written such an engrossing, detailed, and wonderfully dynamic story- that I was completely caught up in all the developments. She had me avidly reading the whole way through, as the story is very original, creative, and imaginative. The characters have been crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They really brought the whole story to life and added so much more depth and ‘flavour’ to the whole ‘adventure’. But there were moments where I wanted to scream and shake them as the angsty push-pull ramped up the further into the story I got. It was so frustrating, and at times it felt like ‘manufactured drama’. Going into the book I thought that Marjorie and Kyran would come through in the end as (fully) fated mates, but everything is still up in the air- with her having a ‘bond’ with both twins. I got to the end and will now have to wait to find out what fate has in store for Marjorie, Alexis, and Kyran – so the next book can’t get here quick enough. #teamKyran I did have issues with this book that I don’t remember encountering in her previous books. Little things that distracted me or pulled me out of the storyline- to the point where I would re-read passages to confirm what I had read. Things such as a few contradictions/conflicting information, editing issues where some sentences were missing words, or sentences didn’t make sense. I felt like the editing/Beta-reading process let Ms. Centeno down just a little. But luckily these issues didn’t detract from my over-all enjoyment of the story – but now I need the next book STAT lol. If you love paranormal romances with gripping & suspenseful storylines, intriguing characters, original lore & legends- then you will definitely want to dive into this series. Happy Reading…

I really have to say I have mixed feeling about this book, I really enjoyed, and the story flowed very well, and came together. It had me really engrossed and there was something about tit that made me want to continue reading. But I really had to sit and read it, or I felt lost. This was an epic fantasy is filled with angels, demons, vampires, kings and mages. The author does an excellent job of building her world and characters. There are a multitude of characters. The story is told from multiple perspectives which give a better understanding overall. and this is everything I love about any book, which I think is the reason for me reading the whole thing, I did find it lengthy and I little long here and there, but it honestly was worth the full read. But if you like reading this is a book for you.

I didn’t realize the length of this book (about 1300 pages), but it was well worth the read. There are maps in the beginning which are helpful, but a list of characters or a pronunciation guide for some things would have been great too. The author really spent their time building this world and all the characters in it. This is a multi point of view read with hundreds of characters and I had to remind myself who some characters were sometimes. The story has multi-layered plot lines filled with kings, magic, warlocks, demons, mythical creatures and more. It was slow to start but once I got hooked on the story and started liking the characters then it took off and got easier. I really like Basil, one of the main characters and healer apprentice, as we follow him as he makes friends and spends time away from Master Watercress. There is a lot of action and each chapter gets the reader more hooked to see what is going to happen. Even with as long as it was, I am looking forward to reading book two.

This is a great book by authors Janice Pratt and Lenora Degen. This book has so many interesting and informative things in it, i loovvve it. Like song, fun activities for the likes, yoga positions, and lessons on the plants life cycle and how to grow them 🥰. I find that really cool for them to include. It would be a cool project to do with the kiddos.I know my little one has just gotten into trying to do yoga. While he does it we play some daily affirmations.so this book was a fantastic find. I already have a couple things that we’re going to be trying from this book and I can’t wait. I also loved all the affirmations that were given and how the authors gave you a guide on how to make your own personal gratitude journals. I’m definitely about to go get and keep a jar like the one from the 2nd chapter for me and my family tomorrow, along with making those journals. This book is good for all ages. The ebook version is great but I would highly recommend getting the physical copy so you can write in it. I look forward to seeing more from these authors. 🥰

I was super excited to see this box set I love when all my books are in one place. If you are looking for a fantastic series to read, I highly recommend getting this book set. Echoing Hearts Another great read by C.R Alam. I had started the series on His Forever Muse, so I went back and read this and was not disappointed, It was just as good as the second one. Although the relationship between Rae and Dean was slow burning,it was not lacking any chemistry. The story was a real page turner, with their on/ off statues leaves you dying to know what happens. I’m so happy they got their happily ever after. Reading this one after his forever muse makes me love Brandon even more than before. Im off to read the next book. I highly recommend reading.
His Forever Muse This is the second book of The Echo Series by the Author C.R Alam. I’m a first time reader of this author and I was amazed at the writing. The story between Callie &Brandon was so well written and has suspense, romance and ups and downs that’ll leave you engaged and intrigued.His Forever Muse is a friends to lovers romance story( It’s one of my top 5 favorite genre to read).This book can be easily read as a stand alone. That’s what I did but when I tell you I will be running to go read the first book (Echoing Hearts)and then again on April 18th when Unexpected Entanglement comes out I cannot wait.
Unexpected Entanglement I was waiting for this book to be released so I could read it. After the much anticipated wait I gotta say 10 out of 10 . Definitely Tied with the second book as my favorite of the series is so far. C.R Alam is amazing. She is hitting all of my favorite tropes when reading. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the new characters that were introduced in the book.the author really gets you to feel every emotion the characters feel. Meg and Ryan have known each other for the majority of their lives. They are officially frenemies. When Meg shows up at the farm, Ryan has a fit because she’s always in his way. Little does Ryan know, Hank, his grandfather, has invited Meg over. Both families are suffering in similar ways so maybe if they can get it together, they can help each other out.
I love Hank! He’s my favorite character in this story. He gets it and wants the best for both Meg and Ryan. He stole my heart from the get go!

This book is more like a travel guide to England. If you are planning your trip to England, read this in advance. It has a lot of historic information and some hidden gems, which as a regular tourist guide, you might not know about. It is backed up with a lot of historic details, myths and legends. It’s more a guide to the off beat travelers who want to explore “the lesser known places”. The book has a lot of detailed information , few of them perhaps is obsolete, but nevertheless a very good guiding book.

I have read a few books from this authors and she always blows my mind with her storytelling. This is the ninth book of the amazing North Folk series. This could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this book as well. I was so excited to read this I stopped everything and started reading it immediately. I could not stop until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Please if you are not one that can do very detailed fantasy you may need to take notes with this one. It is a very lengthy read. Which to me is no problem, as I have read many a lengthy book. This did take me alot to make sure I could keep up with the characters but the world building was wonderful and kept me enthralled.

I read this without having read any others in the series and I enjoyed that I didn’t feel lost because I was picking it up mid series. Jinx and Logan have chemistry that can be felt coming off the pages hot and heavy. Is the romance worth it though? There history and there’s messy but can two people navigate through it?!? Part of the reason this was only 3 stars for me about 3.5 is because I feel as if the story has been played out, I was waiting for something to really make this stand apart from all the other billionaire romances. In no way do I think it wasn’t good I just was waiting for it to stand out.

Mermaid Tails was a cute kids book. I absolutely loved the illustrations. They were bright and beautiful. Some of the pictures gave me The Litter Mermaid vibes. I also enjoyed the little fun facts throughout the book. I recommend this book for kids between 8-12, its educational for them also.
This is the second book in the Magical Emerald Hollow series, but I read this one first by accident! I didn’t feel lost, but I will definitely go back and pick the first book up so that I can get the full experience. This was an absolute delight to read! I loved the small town feel with the added magical feature as it made it both relatable and unique at the exact same time. I truly love the witty conversations between Sofia and Isaiah, and their chemistry is quite obvious. This is a sweet and clean romance which is refreshing as it gets a bit difficult to find these now it seems. I will be looking for more from this author and picking up the previous book in the series. If you’re looking for a lovely clean romance for your afternoon, look no further!
This was my first book by this author, but everyone in my house loves mermaids so it was a no-brainer! The illustrations were gorgeous, and we very much enjoyed seeing the different depictions of mermaids all over the world. Both of my kids favored the Orca mermaid and really got their imaginations going to create their own unique mermaids! The rhyming keeps their attention so well. We all learned many things with the fun facts at the bottom of the pages! I love how educational this book is, and the images are just as captivating. This was such an amazing way to show that diversity is everywhere and get the kids engaged with thinking about the different species. I highly recommend picking this up for the little ones in your life, but I bet you’ll learn something new as well!
This was my first book by this author and what an amazing journey into a fantasy world it was! I was excited to pick this up because I thoroughly enjoy books on the longer side, and this fit the bill at over 1300 pages. There are numerous characters, but the author somehow made it so easy to follow each of them. I loved the multiple points of view as well because it helps me get to know the character that much more. It was extremely difficult to put this book down to do less fun things like work and sleep, but any point I had a free moment I was picking it back up. It’s incredibly addicting! The amount of time and effort put into this book is quite apparent as the author expertly crafts a world with such detail that it feels like you’re experiencing the story instead of being on the outside looking in. It took me a minute to find my cadence, but once I did, the story flowed beautifully. If you are looking to be transported to a different universe, look no further than this fantasy novel! I cannot wait to see more from this exquisitely talented author!

This is a very pure small town Western romance that I could not put down. From enemies to lovers, Ryan and Meg are constantly back and forth with one another, denying their feelings. With a little help from Hank, Ryan’s grandfather, circumstances bring them together, until they can no longer deny them. This book gives off Hallmark vibes in the best way!

Elsbeth is a young woman in Texas whose life seems to be coming apart at the seams. She finds out that her long-term partner is cheating on her, right before he proposes. Her relationship with her sister Zara and mother is strained and her beloved father is dying. How much more can a woman take? An opportunity for a new start emerges when she finds out she has been left a house on a remote island in Guernsey by an aunt she barely remembers. So she takes the opportunity to leave the dramas of her life behind. But the new start isn’t as easy as she wishes, and she is plagued with doubts about leaving her ailing father behind and regrets about how she ended her relationship with her cheating boyfriend. The house is a dishevelled mess, but Elsbeth is no stranger to hard work and takes on the challenge and finds part-time work at her lawyer’s office. Things take a dark turn with a rich developer who hounded her aunt to sell the island and will stop at nothing to get Elsbeth to sell to him. Mysterious happenings at the house lead her to Bishop, who is not as he seems and reveals a mystery that Elsbeth needs to solve before it is too late. I really enjoyed this fast-paced suspense/paranormal/romance by Kellie Wallace. It was well-written, and showed great character growth.

4.5 stars Emerald Hollow is the place to be since Holly came to town. Things are not quite what they seem. Finding Cheer is another magical delight in this paranormal series that will have you wanting to be in this sweet small town and enjoying the magic and laughing at the goings on. This wonderful sequel is a little more mysterious and is Sophia’s story. When a mysterious man turns up Sophie can’t explain this strange pull, she has towards him, but it is mighty inconvenient especially when he doesn’t know who he is or does he? It is a sweet, heartwarming and fun tale and underneath there is Ash and Holly’s story which is ongoing. What will happen when she uncovers old magical secrets? Finding Cheer is a little raw and a little more emotional than the first book as there is heartache, loss and heartbreak, healing and hope just to mention a few. There is also a little twist of a surprise tucked in there that I didn’t see. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger but there are some unanswered questions that I am sure we will get in the next book which I can’t wait for.
Right off let me say that if you are not in the mood for a highly complex read, put this on the TBR for later. It’s been a while since I’ve read a high-fantasy style book, and now I remember why.
The story line is intricate and a little hard to follow at some points because there is just so much going on.
This is a book you’re going to want to take your time with – definitely not a quick read.
Despite struggling with the read at times, I’m giving it four stars because the world-building was great and you can tell the author spent a lot of time and energy creating it. I admire the ability to keep up with the sheer number of details within this tale.

Finding Cheer: Paranormal Women’s Fiction Cozy Fantasy Novel is the second book in the Magical Emerald Hollow series. I was excited to see another book in this series. Holly and Ash are back, as are others who appeared in the first book. The focus of this story, though, falls on Sofia and a mysterious fella who finds himself in Emeral Hollow. I was glad to see Sofia get her moment in the spotlight and to meet a new character. Like in the first book, some mysterious and unusual happenings happen in town. What has caused the unusual tulip blooms? Holly is figuring out some of the magical history of the town and more. This is a great series to grab if you enjoy magic, romance, and the small-town atmosphere. This could be enjoyed as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in order. I hope to read more from this author soon and hopefully more from this fun and unique series.
This book is a great paranormal romance story that is exciting and fast paced. For me this book really was all about the main character, Elsbeth. I found it so easy to connect with her while reading the book and I wanted to go in this journey with her. So much happens to her throughout this story and it was great to see how she developed through it all. This is the first book that i have read by this author but it won’t be the last. It as well thought out and exciting to read. I found myself engaged with the story and really enjoyed the characters. This was a great book to read and I will definitely check out more.

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing skills and their attention to details that brought her characters to life. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They are strong, creative, engaging characters, they made the story easy to read. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which added to the story’s entertainment value. This is a fast paced hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss for sure. A story where the past comes to the present and choices that will change lives forever. This is a great story and one I highly recommend.

Charming Chapter is the story of Laura who has lost her husband and is now trying to find herself. In a chance meeting, she meets a group of women who come together to form a book club and they help her start to find herself. They encourage her to “take a chance” and travel to England to seek out her ancestry. While there Laura meets the handsome and rugged Hugh and falls head over heels for him. However, there are twists and turns that come with that and Laura and Hugh have to decide if taking the chance is worth it. I really enjoyed this late in life romance and the reminder that it’s never to late to truly live. The plot is a little slow and repetitive at times but Laura is very relatable and lovely. This is the first book in a series and I can’t wait to see what Haas has in store for us in the upcoming books.
