I love these Oscar and Emmy books. I have read a few of them with my 7yo son. He also always enjoys them. They are not only fun and entertaining, they are also full of life lessons and education. That doesn’t make them boring though. The author weaves essential information right into the story. Often, at the end, the author includes super helpful lists or information about what the story was about.
This one in particular deals with an extreme hurricane. It teaches kids (and possibly even parents) how to be prepared to handle a hurricane. Especially with tips for pets! This book includes a list at the end that you and kids can use to be prepared.
