The Silent Forest (The House on the Hill Book #2) by David Kummer – Review by Angela Hayes

The Silent Forest (The House on the Hill, #2)The Silent Forest by David Duane Kummer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 – 3.5 Stars

The Silent Forest is the second instalment in The House on the Hill series by David Duane Kummer. This thrilling story picks up a few weeks after the events in the first book, so if you haven’t read ‘The Misery House’ (Book #1) yet, then I highly recommend that you do as there is a lot of important information contained there that you will need to know in order to fully appreciate this book.
‘The Silent Forest’ is a psychological drama with suspenseful developments, some horror themes, a small-town setting, tension, intrigue, mystery, dark secrets, discovery, and high stakes.
Allison is still missing and Kaia refuses to give up, she’s on a quest to unearth some answers. With cryptic clues, and more missing person cases piling up, time is running out. I thought Book #1 was tense, but Mr. Kummer definitely turned up the intensity here — and that ending- only means that Book #3 can’t come quickly enough for my liking, so I can find out how it all plays out — there are things I need to know, and I am hoping to find all the answers there.
Bring on Book #3!!!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, David Duane Kummer!
