I really Liked this one! It was hot and steamy which I loved. It’s the 3rd in the Shattered Embrace series. I would recommend reading the first 2 before this one. They take you into a world of Dominance and Submissiveness. Derek and Justine’s chemistry is so good! Derek is dominant and Justine is doing her dissertation so needs Derek to show her how to be submissive and make her understand the shifts in power. She loves it! It’s so descriptive and sexy! They have such great chemistry. Highly recommend it!
This was the first book I have read/listened to by this author, but I’m definitely going back for more. The Meet-Cute was hilarious and the story kept me entertained. I love that way this story is hockey adjacent- hockey is not the main focus of the storyline. The narration was excellent. Narrators Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James are both new to me. I see there are 7 more books in this series and I’m definitely going back to see how the other couples met.

Rachel and Miguel are just fantastic together. We meet them both in the first book of this trilogy and they haven’t disappointed me at all. I adore how they interact and their playful witty banter. I couldn’t stop smiling during the trip to the Zoo and the events that happened at the restaurant late that day. This book is every bit (if not better) as good as the first in the series. They can be read as a stand-alone, but you will want to read the first book anyway so JUST Go for it.

WOW … what a great read. It will keep you engrossed and turning pages as fast as you can read. Tess and Ryan have an instant attraction to each other, and their chemistry just keeps building. Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie is a MM Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished it. I’ve read several books by this author but this one is honestly my favorite yet. I first read this story when it was part of an Anthology so I knew I had to have it. I loved the characters, they are purely the heart and soul of this story. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Elijah and Jude both have been hurt and are trying to move on in their own ways. Elijah has Griffin his son to take care of . Things are about to change when he meets their new neighbor Jude. This is a short story but is fast paced. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Secrets, Lies, and Betrayals by Lynn Wood is book 1 in The Protect and Honor Series. It’s also the first book I have read by this author. This is a political thriller, with some romance, a little drama, suspense, and intrigue. It’s definitely one of those books that grab you in the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. The characters are lifelike, believable, and could jump right off the page. I also really liked how we were able to see the story from different point of views which helps to immerse your self in the story and see it as a whole which I’ve always really enjoyed. I’m looking forward to book 2.

This is the fifth book of The Olympic Peninsula series. Having read the last four book, I was extremely excited for this next installment to be released. I was not surprised in the least that just like the others I loved the book. Still being set in the “ olden days” as my nieces and nephews like to say ( im like it wasn’t even that long ago,Ii was born around then😭 😂” the best time the 90s. Cat Treadgold has yet again built some amazing characters that blend perfectly into the fantastic World she has already developed. It’s a fast pace read that flows, with chemistry, drama, and silence that pop off the pages. I wish I could go back and reread the series for the first time again lol but I will 100 percent put this in my reread pile !I look forward to seeing more work from this author.

The synopsis of the book piqued my interest even though I typically do not read books with politics as a major part of the story. I was happily surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to pick up the next in the series.
This book follows our main character Lea living her second, fake life. Her original life she was Michaela Manning. As a young child that survived the assassination of her grandfather she was put into a new life to protect her. Living the quiet life away from the public is ruined when her father runs for office. Lea must now learn who she can trust as she goes on the run.
The characters in the story are fleshed out with depth that makes them relatable and real feeling. The author takes you on a twisty ride of surprise, suspense, and action with a dash of romance sprinkled in.

This is the first book I have read by this author and in this series, but with it being a prequel I figured it was a great place to start! It feels like a cool rockstar romance, and the author warned me that it contains spoilers and I read on anyways. I love it when a book is told from multiple points of view, so this was right up my alley as we followed Mavrick, Callum, and Becka’s stories. Each chapter following one of the three characters allows me to dig a little deeper into each personality. The development of the characters and the plot felt natural and unfolded at a wonderful pace. Don’t forget to read the content warnings that the author so graciously provided for you. I appreciate that they want people to know what they’re getting into to an extent. I am very excited to start picking up the next books in the series and see what this author has created with the Blind Rebels!
Murder the Tey Way is the second book in the Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub, and it was as good as the first one.
Lexie Driscoll has found herself embroiled in yet another murder mystery. Her sister, Gayle, whom she hasn’t seen in years, shows up, and she is terrified. She witnessed her boyfriend being killed, and she now lives in fear. She is confident the killer is now coming after her. Not long after Gayle’s arrival, they discover a dead man in Lexie’s backyard. After getting the story from her sister, Gayle flees again.
As she becomes involved in this investigation, she also discovers her bookclub members have secrets, and then a member of her bookclub is also murdered. Are the two murders connected, and what are the members of the club hiding?
As with the first book, the twists, turns, and pacing make it a great mystery. There is also some added romance. Lexie finds herself torn between two men who are completely different from one another, yet both could give her a life she yearns for. However, she has her own issues with commitment to work through. She fears making a grave mistake again, making it hard to trust anyone. I also enjoyed the references to Josephine Tey.
I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and to seeing what new crime our favorite professor will be involved in.

Love Rinkside is the only book I’ve read from the Playmakers series so far. I was expecting a light hearted romance but I wasn’t anticipating the wit and humor this author had to offer. As entertaining as I found this book, it wasn’t all laughs, the main characters were really realistic with true, complex personalities which made this story and the characters really relatable. Even though I hadn’t read any other books in the series, I never felt lost or confused reading this novella. It definitely sparked an interest in other characters and their storylines though!

Raccoon Reunion by Terri Sabol. This is such a fun book for kids with a very important lesson as well. Its about a raccoon named Rocky who is going to a family reunion. Rocky has never met most of these people and is so nervous about going and seeing strangers. When they arrive Rocky shuts down and won’t talk to anyone. He finally realizes that its ok to meet strangers and they can be quite fun. I read this story to my 6 year old nephew and he loved it. He struggles with anxiety as do I and the book is super relatable. This author is becoming one of our favorites. Its also got really cook pictures in it. This is a great book for the young one in your life!
The Sins of Men: An American Revolutionary War Drama (The Peter Smith Chronicles-American Revolution Historical Fiction series) by Danny J Bradbury. This is such a good book. Its written so well that I felt like I was in the middle of the Revolutionary War! The story begins with Peter Beale who is a from a very poor family in England. Peter ends up stealing food for his large family and ends up in jail. Thru prison he is put in His Majesty’s Navy as a cabin boy under Captain Auger on the HMS Progress. This prison was horrible but Peter’s not too sure this is any better. Peter is assigned to assist the cook, clean the deck and personally bring the Captain his food. When alone with the Captain bad things happen and not just to Peter but all young boys. He eventually escapes from the boat and arrives in America and is adopted by a wealthy family. This book was written so well that I didn’t want to put it down and I zoomed thru it. Such a great historical fictional read!

Brooke May is a new author to me and one that I will want to read again and again. The Predator is the first book in series, this second chance sports romance is an engaging book filled with drama, amazing characters (some you will love, some will make you want to scream) and sexy scenes that will make the read even hotter. KC and Chamberlain truly will grab you and will keep you wanting more and more if their story. Chamberlain gives KC “real Life” stuff that she never got growing up and then the EVIL Gwen comes along and tries to ruin so much for them. As you read, you want to know that he can fix it all, will her family let her have her life? And the cliff hanger that will leave you shocked and needing me more!!

This is my first time reading Naomi Valkyrie and I really enjoyed this book. It flowed well and was a quick read but it didn’t lack anything in the story or characters. I always enjoy reading dual POV. The angst was real but wasn’t overwhelming to the story. This is definitely a must read and I can’t wait to check out more from this author!
Really makes you think. Has you thinking nothing is related and then bam it all connects. Exactly like a puzzle you have to find the right piece to make it fit. I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this author

This book is a well written historical romance story that has the added element of being a MMF romance story. It is a book that is really easy to engaged with and become invested in what is happening. I loved the dynamics between the characters. They each seemed to have so much to give and their interactions were well crafted and interesting. I thought the author did a great job at intertwining them together. The overall story line was one that I enjoyed. It was well developed and I enjoyed the pace the author had created. This book is a great addition to the series and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
Secrets, Lies, and Betrayals by Lynn Wood is the first book in the Protect and Honor Series, and my first book by this author. Full to the absolute brim with twists, turns, and honestly real life scenarios that make it really difficult to set this book down. This author has such a fine attention to detail, and will absolutely throw you for a loop if you think you’ve guessed what’s coming. With the current state of the world, this book was definitely an intriguing read and will really make you think. I look forward to seeing what else Lynn has in her bag of tricks!

A gripping contemporary romance with plenty of fast paced action, drama and suspense. All of which kept me hooked throughout. Michaela Manning is living her second, fake life under the watchful eyes of the ex-special forces operative who saved her life. Having grown up away from her family’s name and influence her father’s political ambitions now threaten Michaela’s new life. Everyone wants to know if his daughter is even still alive, but when someone she trusts reveals her secret, her two identities collide. With her life in danger from the extremists who killed her grandfather, Michaela is forced to go on the run with Max and back into hiding as they figure out who betrayed her. I was fully immersed in the storyline as the descriptive narrator brought both the characters and the settings vividly to life. I loved the likeable and relatable Michaela and felt both engaged with her and invested in her story. I enjoyed the political thriller/conspiracy elements of the storyline and the plot twists definitely kept me guessing. A must read!

This is the first book in the Protect and Honour Series. This was a gripping read with twists and turns that I couldn’t see coming. It is set in a political arena which gives it a more realistic feel as you could actually imagine this sort of thing taking place. This is a story that gripped me from the first page and didn’t let go. the authors attention to details was great and really brought the characters to life. When Michaela Manning grandfather was assassinated and she almost lost her life in the process she was taken into medical care by Maxwell Cole. Now Michaela has grown up under a new identity of Lea and away from public eye to protect her. However now things are going to change. With her father entering the political arena this has caused her new identity to be revealed and for the target to be placed on her back. Maxwell is hired to protect her as she is thrust back into the spot light once again but can he protect her from all the dangers that could possible lurk out there? How is Michaela going to react when her life goes from being her own and making her own choices to have to be under surveillance and protection all the time? And who is responsible for leeking the information about Michaela’s identity? Can Maxwell figure out who is wanting to cause Michaela harm before they have chance to strike again. With so many secrets and lies it keeps the reader constantly guessing who they can trust and who could be the person wanting to cause her harm. This is an enjoyable and engaging novella which acts as both a prequel to the series and provides extra scenes. It is written for adult readers due to the mature content. Blind Rebels are the most popular rock band in the world, with platinum albums and sell out concerts. To the onlooker the members of the band have it all, however, behind the scenes they are falling apart. Mavrick Slater is the lead singer and he is worried that guitarist Callum is on a path of self-destruction. Callum knows his best friend is concerned for him but he’s tired. He’s tired of the constant touring and of being the one who cares and so he uses drugs to give him an escape. Meanwhile, living a dismal life in Chicago is Becka. She wants a new start preferably in the arms of a rock star, and to have songs written about her. Having read this prequel and been introduced to the main characters, and felt immersed in the bands world, I am keen to start reading the Blind Rebels series.

THis was a great 5 star read. This is the third book in the series and I really enjoyed it. I really liked all three characters and their story. Nicolo, Eden and Matty bring you into their world and their journeys. My emotions were all over the place. Matty and Nicolo have a history and when Nicolo returns home with Eden and sees Matty old feelings come back to life. Can these three have a HEA together? What will the final decision be? Overall I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from this author. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen for these three. Josie’s life couldn’t get any worse right now. A divorce on the horizon, custody battle, and her business is not doing good. It’s just one thing after another and it is taking its toll on her. She spirals into a full blown panic attack and wakes up 30 years in the past. Her senior year. Josie thinks that this is just a panic induced dream since she has a few regrets at this time including turning away the one boy who had her heart.
When Josie realizes she isn’t waking up back in the present, she decides to fix her mistakes from the past. She wants to tell Daniel how she feels but in doing so, she might erase her current life and lose her 2 kids she adores.
Who doesn’t love a time travelling trope. You’ve heard of 15 going on 30 but have you heard of 47 going on 17? Redoing your senior year in hopes of getting it right this time around. If only I could go back. I really enjoyed the main character Josie. She spent so long being a wife and mom first that she forgot what it is that she wanted in life. She may spend a lot of time inside her 17 year old body but she still has the mindset of her current age. Everyone has regrets. Only difference is Josie gets to change hers.

This is the first book I have picked up by this author, and I was a little hesitant at first. I was not sure if I would be able to immerse myself in a political thriller; thriller, yes, politics, not so much. However, my fears did not last long and it took no time for me to become obsessed with getting to the end. Michaela, the Senator’s daughter, experiences a violent tragedy and is forced to lead a double life for her protection. Suddenly, it all starts to fall apart and it is a thrilling, breath-holding ride as she runs from extremists who killed her grandfather. Guarded by the man who saved her before, she must hit the ground running to figure out who let the secret of her double identity slip. This is definitely a page-turner, and I highly suggest starting it on a night before a day off because sleep will become less important! Loved it and can’t wait to get my hands on book number two.
