Amy Kaybach is a romance author from the central coast of California. She released her first book, Bridging the Silence, in March of 2022. Following the lead singer of a band called the Blind Rebels, it is the first in a rockstar romance series.

Begging her parents when she was three to teach her to “write words,” Amy’s had a love of writing since she can remember. She also learned to read early and quickly fell in love with the worlds in her books. Once, a precocious ten-year-old Amy frustrated her mom so much that she took away Amy’s books instead of television because Amy didn’t really care about what was on TV anyway.

When she is not writing or dreaming about sexy rockstars, Amy is working in information technology communications or dreaming of her next grand adventure.

Amy is owned by two obnoxious but well-loved (spoiled) beagles, Abbie and Gracie

This is a very quick and easy read, and my 3 year-old grandson enjoyed the story.
The Series Consist of:

-Opposite Day For Dinopotamus (Book #3)
Happy reading.

Discovering Desire (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Brandy Rymer

Discovering Desire (Shattered Embrace #3)Discovering Desire by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Shattered Embrace series is definitely for an adult audience, that being said I absolutely love this series. Before I read this book, I reread the full series before starting the book, including the side story of Derek and Jordan in Wonderland, so I could have a full understanding of everything that led to this point in time. I had read the previous books earlier, but love reading a series through one right after the other when I have time. This book takes us into the life of Derek, Zachary’s half-brother, and we learn a lot more about his deep secrets. Not only do we get to read the story from Derek’s point of view, but also from Justine and Jordan’s points of view. Both ladies are subs of Derek’s but also have way more to their character than meets the eye. This story is full of thrilling moments, and intense interactions between opposing teams that are fighting for dominance in a bigger battle than just in the business world. You won’t want to miss this explosive next book in this series, where Derek will get to fight his battles for dominance in his personal life as well as his professional life. Will his skills as an ex-navy SEAL be able to keep him and his loved ones safe, or will he get distracted by his newly developing feelings get in the way?

Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Angela Hayes

Unexpected HeroesUnexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

Can we just take a minute to appreciate this beautiful cover….
Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie is a wonderful MM romance woven around two damaged souls who are drawn together by fate. Elijah (a single dad new to town) and Jude (a security operative with a broken heart) both stole my heart, right along with baby Griffin.
This was such a sweet story but packed with emotion, danger, and intrigue. The slightly paranormal twist elevated this story to a whole other level for me, and was quite cleverly done.
Ms. Valkyrie has imbued her story with so much emotion, and though it may only be a short story, it packs the punch of a much longer novel. She made me cry, more than once- the story really touched me- I was so invested in the outcome, on the edge of my seat in parts, as I followed along to ensure everything worked out in end.
Looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Naomi Valkyrie!

In this story Dinopotamus is taking a nap. When he gets up, the children in the classroom notice that his nap spot was super warm and cozy so the next day they want to nap there. But it’s not warm and cozy anymore. Dinopotamus uses his heat vision to help solve the mystery of finding a warm nap spot for the kids in class. This story was very cute and with hand drawn illustrations this makes it very cute and accessible to younger kids as well!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lois Wickstrom really knows what she’s doing by now when it comes to children’s books and them being educational in a child friendly, easy to understand way. Dinopotamus was super friendly, caring, and just wanted the best for his friends during nap time when everyone began to wonder why dinopotamus’ spot was so warm and how they could find the warmest spots to nap in. They had to look no further. I really enjoyed the hand drawn illustrations. They made the story seem more personal and child friendly.

“Absurd,” Said Bird : A Fun Children’s Adventure About a Mouse Who Dreams of Travel (Mouse Traveler) by Tricia Gardella – Review by MicalahWeatherholtz

“ABSURD,” SAID BIRD.: A mouse plans a trip to the moon. by Tricia Gardella
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Absurd, Said Bird was a very well illustrated book. I loved the full color designs of all the animals working together to help mouse reach the moon to get some cheese, despite what bird said, which he of course was going to share with everyone. It was a cute little story. What I didn’t enjoy as much was what seemed like a very abrupt ending. It felt unfinished, once mouse failed, they were running to the scrap heap to try again, and bam- ended. I felt like maybe there could be more to the story?

I first read this book when I found it in part of an anthology about a year ago. I absolutely fell in love with this story and was super excited to find the standalone book! This author is one that I never pass up because they have an incredible way of crafting their stories that I haven’t found anywhere else. I was absolutely blown away by how rapidly I was pulled into this story and fully invested in Elijah, Griffin, and Jude. The flow of this story is flawless, and the characters are incredibly relatable. I felt so many emotions reading through this and couldn’t put it down even though I had already read it! If you are looking for a fantastic MM Romance, look no further. You won’t regret picking this one up!

Discovering Desire (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Ayla Phipps

Discovering Desire (Shattered Embrace #3)Discovering Desire by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Discovering everything they never knew they needed. Alyndra Quinn has such immense power over my soul with this series. Finally getting to see more inside the mind of Derek Ingram as well as Jordan and Justine in this entry. Each of them has their own path they are on but in so many ways they are each other’s answers and solutions.
Derek has decided to rise and take over his “families” syndicate from his half brother Lucian. Lucian poses a threat to his older brother Zachery and his girlfriend Ashton as well as anyone else that’s near Derek. Jordan is beginning to shift into the next chapter of her life and wants something more than a hook up with her favorite Dom and mentor Derek. Justine has been observing Shattered Embrace for over a year and after one embarrassing slip up that led to Derek hearing her sighing his name from the shadows of the room, she takes the next step and participates in a class for the first time. While several others give Justine more perspective not only for her research but for herself, she starts to question her motives and how she can truly understand her dissertation topic unless she discovers it. With questions filling her mind leading to a moment she could barely even dream up Justine learns to let go and discover her desires in ways she never imagined.
Will Derek succeed in getting Lucian out of the way? How will Jordan discover what she needs to fill her soul? What will Justine discover when she stops hiding behind her research and living in the moment? This world has a way of pulling you in deeper and deeper with each new discovery and every page until you’re left speechless and ready for the next story to see where it will go from here. While I didn’t know about Whispers in Wonderland before reading this book, I will be going back to it very soon to discover where it all began for Derek and Jordan and what led to the events in this book. That said I wasn’t completely lost but the beginning had me confused slightly as it seemed to pick up after previous important events. Now the countdown to finally getting inside the mind of the Master of love them and leave them, Reid.

The Handshake Agreement (Book 1) by A. Akinosho – Review by The Handshake Agreement, A. Akinosho, Review, Itsy Bitsy Book Bits, African American, Romance, Rita White, July 2024

What a fantastic book! 4.8 rating for me. I’m gonna say this might be the best book for me so far in 2024.
This book has a strong MMC named Declan with an age gap and a touch her and you die attitude who thought he would never fall in love and had a different girl every night. He met Anne, who is quiet, doesn’t like attention, and would be happy in her apartment binging her shows.
Declan had a handshake agreement with his Dad that before 10 years was up, he would marry in a rearranged marriage to strengthen the family business. He finally won the heart of Anne and ended up leaving her at the altar and marrying someone else.
Don’t worry we have a HEA in the end, but it takes many years to get there. I sure hope the author makes this a series and writes a book about some of the other characters in the book. Jake, Bruce, Sara, Julian, Rian, Kehinde, Yinka, and even Nicole. I think these books would be a fabulous addition to this book as each of these friends had a huge part in Declan and Anne’s journey.

The Alien & the Crime Boss by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by The Alien & the Crime Boss, Naomi Valkyrie, Review, Itsy Bitsy Book Bits, SciFi, Romance, Rita White, July 2024

This book is an M/M alien mafia romance book. The two main characters are Kasper and Leilphun. Leilphun, who is on the run from his planet and ends up on earth, is going to help Kasper take over the two family mafia wars. There is romance, pride, fear, love, loyalty, and admiration from both main male characters. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so grab this book and any of Naomi’s books. You can’t go wrong with any of her books!

This is the fifth and final installment in this series but can be read as a standalone. This author wrote this book with great detail. I was brought into the story from the beginning. This story is about overcoming one’s past and second chances. The chemistry between Edward and Lisette is very strong. The author wrote this story in such a way that you feel connected to the characters and their outcome. After reading this book I will definitely be going back to read the books in this series that I missed. This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed the writing style. I stayed enthralled in the story throughout the entire book. I recommend this book.

Another hit in this series! The reader finds themself in the middle of another mystery in need of solving and Sparky is hot on the trail!

I have just loved this series and this third installment is no different! It is a fun and engaging read! Sparky is such a wonderful character and I love seeing her development throughout the books so far and loved her growth in this one. The setting and cast of supporting characters really bring depth to the story. Sparky’s interactions with the supporting characters and the various relationships she has with those characters provide for a range emotions and experiences with the book. She is, at her core, such a kind and caring young girl, but carries the reader through the book and story with her unique spunk. She always finds trouble and lives life the way she wants. I just love her as a character. I also really enjoy the setting and that this series takes place in, bringing in the grittiness of LA but set in during the depression. Can Sparky vindicate her crime boss and find the real murderer? Read this one to find out!

This cozy mystery series is among the best I’ve read and I greatly look forward to the next one!

I really enjoy reading Naomi’s work and was delighted to see this story. She has a unique way of telling a tale. This is a MM second chance small town romance. Where love is found in the most unlikely of places. When one man’s past rears its ugly head, love will have to take a backseat for the safety of him and his son.
Starting over is the right thing but why does it feel so lonely. Once broken by lost love now a sexy new single dad mends his heart, and he will do everything he can to save the man he now loves and his son.
This suspense story is a definite page turner.
I can’t wait to read more from Naomi.

He so desperately wants to fit in with his new friends and they help him to feel included. He is an interesting character that is sweet and caring and is a good role model for children to embody.
This interesting tale has illustrations that are childlike but do express the concept of this simple tale. The message in this tale is kindness and friendships lessons worthy of learning.

Can he use Leilphun to help accomplish his goals, or will a budding romance hinder those goals? Discovering Desire is Book 3 of the Shattered Embrace and I really enjoyed Derek’s story. I also recommend reading from the beginning of the series are you get to know the characters and they do intertwine with each book, but also check out the Whispers In Wonderland, which is the beginning of where it all began with Derek and Jordan. This story was a bit of a roller coaster of drama, secrets, greed with definite spicy sizzle off the charts….I am already looking forward to the next installment of this series.

Derek, a former Navy SEAL, now part of Club Shatter Embrace and Ingram Enterprises is total dominant. Protecting the people he cares about most is his priority. He and Jordan have that sizzle connection but Derek is also intrigued by Justine, who is there just to watch…Justine just has to let go of the sub in her. When playtime arises between Jordan, Derek and Justine…something sparks..Justine wants more from Derek. But when danger lurks around the corner all because of Derek’s half brother, the danger is high and Derek’s past comes back. Derek wants to protect Justine while planning the downfall of Lucian. Jordan also wants other things as well into play….and not be kept in the dark of Derek’s past. Will Derek be able to take on the danger that Lucian is causing so much chaos and protect the people he cares about…….

Definitely read and find out….this is a great story….definite questions and answers and my curiosity is peaked on what is to come!
