Lexie Driscoll is a woman who loves reading and so has taken over organising the local book club, the “Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub” to be exact, and this week they are talking about Josephine Try:s latest book, but something isn’t right at this evening’s book club, the members who are all both neighbours and friends are distracted by things in their own lives and are not really concentrating. Unfortunately, for Lexie things go from bad to worse when someone is caught peeping through her window and one of the attendees goes after them, when they return, Lexie decides to postpone the evening.While all this was happening, Lexie’s sister Gayle turns up distressed and scared after driving straight to Lexie’s from her home, but when she tells Lexie what has happened the next morning, another surprise is waiting on the lawn, the peeping tom from last night, dead! This is where Gayle speeds away again and leaves Lexie in a mess, who was the man and what was he doing there? The police are called and the investigation started, however, things are not all that they seem.

Lexie decides to focus on what is happening with her Bookclub while the police deal with the dead man, but when she asks the questions, she finds that there are more secrets to be unveiled and skeletons which want to escape the closets they are trapped in, but in true Lexie form, she asks what would Tey do and follow where the clues take her, but will she be able to untangle the knot of deceit, denial and revelations as more deaths pile up and the mystery deepens in this cozy mystery.
