Wildfire Knockout is Book 3 in The Predator series and a novella of Scott and Beth’s story. I loved that they got their story and I highly recommend reading this series in order as you do meet Scott and Beth in the previous books. The fire and connection that they have is undeniable and I was rooting for them from the beginning. Passion, desire, drama, secrets and struggles….Beth’s story of her past is haunting and heartbreaking. Scott seeks to know Beth on a deeper level and show her what a good man can be in her life…but will Beth be able to overcome her demons of past and look to a future that involves Scott..
This is a great book and it was hard to put down. I am truly loving this series and I cannot wait to read the next story in the series!!

It’s time for the family to go on a cruise and unfortunately, pets are not allowed. While most people might board their pets with a trusted pet sitter, Oscar and Emmy are able to go to Grandma’s for the week! They are not fond of the car ride and find themselves a little scared when first arriving at Grandma’s, but find that it’s not so bad and they have an enjoyable week!
This is another fun read in this series of books about pets. A great way to share more stories with your littles!

I really enjoy reading this series about Oscar and Emmy!! In this book, they are going to the vet for their yearly checkups. Everything goes well and the family even learns some interesting facts about cats and dogs!
This would be a great book to read with littles before taking their furry friends to the vet for the first time. It will give them an overview of what happens at the vet and could help alleviate any anxieties they may have about their pet going to the doctor.

Once Kellen actually decides to try talking to Salem, they begin to have interest beyond the physical and form a friendship – and then when they must work together to solve an issue, it adds another layer to their wonderful chemistry.
Another great read about the King brothers and a story that is hard to put down! You can feel the emotions behind the characters and the pull Kellen and Salem have towards one another. The frustration, the grief, the anger…it pours through the pages. Read book 1 to get the story pre Kellen, but a great standalone story, as well.

Be My Little Baby is the second book in the London Detective Agency Series and is a Romantic Suspense that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages till the end. The characters are fully developed and relatable and complex, their chemistry is off the charts and they bring the story to life. I had a terrible time putting it down and read late into the night. The twists and turns had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. There’s just the right amount my mystery and suspense to keep you guessing. I don’t want give anything away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Finding Hope is the first book in the Half Moon Bay series by Erin Brockus. I have never read this author before and felt this was a good introduction to their writing style. The book was written with a lot of vivid description that transported you within the pages (a nice escape with all the rain this week). Like many books, we were able to see both main characters perspective with a lot of emphasis on their inner thoughts which provided great context and character depth. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the series.

May has done it again with Chamberlain and K.C.’s story. This was such a wonderful conclusion to their story and there were many twists and turns still to be had (some of them were wonderful…others suspenseful). I just love these two characters so much and May did such a fantastic job with their development individually and together. I also like that we get to see a little bit more of some of the side characters and their personalities and relationships and I’m hoping that they will get their own story as well. You MUST read the first book before you pick this one up or you will be lost…but you won’t regret it! I love this author and she is quickly becoming one I automatically add to my TBR! An enjoyable enemies to lovers, billionaire romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Bad boy of the King family, Kellen has an anonymous long weekend fling, but just as he starts to think it could be something more, he blows it with his mystery woman. Salem knew she shouldn’t be seduced by the untamed, wild, yet charming man, but somehow she is. Keeping it anonymous was meant to keep her safe from getting hurt, but it didn’t. Fate ensured that they met again and Salem has the opportunity to either exact her revenge and make Kellen suffer, or discover if she still cares for the bad boy she met. The characters and setting came to life making me feel immersed in the story. The chemistry between Kellen and Salem sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. I am now keen to read the previous book in the ‘King Brothers’ series.

It’s important to read the previous books in the Predator series to understand the characters in Wildfire Knockout. This book focuses on the story of Beth and Scott, who we’ve met in the previous Predator books. Beth, who initially seemed tough, has a compelling and touching story that I was eager to explore. I enjoyed the lively interactions and strong connection between Beth and Scott, but given Beth’s past, her cautiousness is understandable. Despite her wariness, she has a kind heart and slowly learns to take a chance on love. Scott is fiercely protective of Beth, as she has completely captivated him and driven him to the edge. He desires a deeper connection with her, but it’s challenging when trust doesn’t come easily to Beth. As Beth grapples with her struggles, Scott is determined to uncover her secrets and support her, especially when her difficult past resurfaces. It’s impossible not to root for these two characters. The author, Brooke, excels in crafting relatable characters that tug at your heartstrings. Wildfire Knockout is a fast-paced and engaging read that evokes strong emotions. It skilfully combines compelling storytelling with a touch of humour. I highly recommend it!

This little novella was Scott and Beth’s story.We met them inThe Predator series. It’s truly a beautiful story of overcoming challenges thrown into your life. Scott was Prince Charming to Beth’s damsel in distress. He wanted to be there for her. It didn’t seem like she showed her vulnerable side much. Watching this relationship develop was a beautiful thing. The author a pretty realistic view of how they work. It’s such a good story. It gives all the feels. I loved the writing and the characters. This author does a fantastic job with her books.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it will not be the last. I am discovering new authors all the time and I really enjoyed her book so I will be checking out the rest of the series.
Hope has been working the same job now a long time and she is kind of stuck in a rut. She is up for a promotion and has also been with her boyfriend for almost two years. Today is her birthday, her sister wants to do something special for Hope. So she enters Hope into a raffle that she read about. Hope has been managing a hotel, but in the raffle, Hope would win a resort.
This book was so good I just could not put it down and I kept thinking about the rut that my life seems to always be in. Wouldn’t it be awesome to be in Hope’s place.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it will not be the last. Once I started reading I just could not put it down. It was so good.
Peggy and her brother had lost touch for a while and then he showed up in their town. He set it up with them that they had a standing invitation to have dinner with him every Thursday night. When Peggy and her husband showed up to have dinner with him on Thursday they realized that he had cleaned out his apartment and there were no traces of him left there.
She was concerned because he never said anything about leaving town. Then she finds out that he died falling off a train. Check out this story I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Very sweet, very informative book for kids. I love that the Oscar and Emmy books have a lesson in them for kids in regards to having a pet. The artwork is beautiful, so that draws in the eye. This book shows each thing the vet usually checks when looking at your pet and that is a great lesson for all kids to learn, how to take care of their animals.

Another great children’s read from Tricia Gardella. The art in this book is beautiful, I love how the children are drawn, their faces looks so sweet and innocent. All the grandkids go out looking for Gramma only to discover her doing something new and fun such as, climbing a tree, swimming, collecting bugs and other fun things kids love to do. This Gramma really seems like she likes to play with her grandchildren and giving long lasting memories.
This book is so sweet and the artwork is beautiful. Jack and his friends are so concerned about the flea they think Shank has and try everything they think to get rid of it. Poor Shank, I was getting to the point where I wanted Shank to run away so they wouldn’t test anything else on him. It is a good lesson to take your pet to the vet right away so as not to harm them with at home remedies. Great children’s book, I love this author’s style.

This is book 2 in The Predator series. As this is the second part to Katie and Chamberlains story I really recommend reading Part 1 first. This is a second chance sport romance filled with chemistry, intrigue, secret, drama, lies and suspense. This is about 2 people who are opposites however you cant help who you fall in love with. When a misunderstanding tears them apart neither one thinks that they will see each other again and never in their dreams could they imagine a chance to rekindle their love. 4 years have past when they find each other again and both Katie and Chamberlain have changed. Even though they both love each other will this be enough for them to make it work this time? With forces working against them still trying to keep them apart do they stand a chance or will they left heartbroken all over again. I love Chamberlain’s protectiveness of Katie. Even after all the time apart his instant reaction is to want to make her his and protect her at all costs. There were times during this book that I wanted to climb in and stop anyone wanting to stop this couple from being together. You can tell that Katie and Chamberlain are made for each other but there are secrets and lies that need to be uncovered which could destroy them all over again. I love this series so far and I can’t wait to read more.

Dr Moira McCann is a woman on a mission, her twin sister Claire has not shown up for a visit, it is rare enough that she does that, but when Moira doesn’t hear anything for a couple of days, she gets worried, so she heads to her last location, a small town called Allenville. Seth Call is the Police Chief of Allenville and he knows everything which happens there and more importantly keeps Outsiders from finding out about it, however when one disappears and another one arrives, he knows he will have to work harder than ever to do it.
As Moira tries to find a lead to the whereabouts of her sister, she tries the usual places, the only hotel, the local diner and the police station. Unfortunately for Moira, there are no answers forthcoming and she has a feeling that there is something else happening, but she also feels that the Police Chief is not telling her everything either. Meanwhile, Seth knows that the disappearance could be something to do with the local mating season and when bodies are found, he knows that the danger is escalating.
Moira keeps hitting brick walls and so when she happens upon even the smallest hint, she grasps it and follows where it leads, but the facts don’t add up, not to mention that Seth is a very sexy distraction and is a flame which could easily ignite and derail her and Seth is feeling the same way about Moira. Will they be able to find Claire before she falls to a gruesome fate, or will the secrets Allenville is desperate to hide reveal themselves first? This is a romance with a bucket load of sci-fi thrown in where secrets, revelations, danger and hope mix to bring a fast paced story you will not want to miss.

I hadn’t read any books by this author before, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. I took a chance with this one and couldn’t be happier that I did! This is the first book in the Alienville series and what an incredible start it is. Within the very first chapter, this story gripped my attention and never let go. I couldn’t put it down for a moment which means I ignored quite a few chores and errands that day. I regret nothing! Moira and Claire are twins but couldn’t be more opposite. Claire is the whimsy, free-spirited sister while Moira is responsible and structured. Claire doesn’t respond to her sister so Moira goes to look for her, but nothing is as it seems. Once the Police Chief, Seth, meets Moira, he finds himself stuck between the truth and his feelings. I refuse to give anything away because this story surprised me at each and every turn! The flow and pace of this story is quite fast but somehow still feels natural. The characters are incredibly well-developed, and I loved the chemistry between Moira and Seth. If you enjoy an intriguing, suspenseful sci-fi romance, please pick this up because you won’t regret it. I cannot wait for the second book in this series!

This little town has secrets that it doesn’t want to get out. When Moira’s sister Claire doesn’t show up for their scheduled visit she starts to get worried. Sure Claire is scatter brained but she would at least find a way to get in touch right? Moira is on a mission to find her missing sister and she starts in the last place that she was known to be. Moira tries to get help from the Chief of Police in Allentown, Seth Call, but the last thing he wants is for the big secret to get out. After all, whatever or whoever took Claire is not going to give her back. This was the first book I have read by this author and it was a page turner. A long time ago I tried a Sci-fi book and knew it was something I most likely wouldn’t pick up again. Kellen has a way of having trouble follow him, he is a bachelor who likes to unwind with the ladies but when his latest antics catch up with him, he needs a break. Finding a stunning woman is just what he needs and when she reels off the conditions of a weekend of hot sex, he is sold. Having to head home though has him leaving without a word, imagine his surprise though when she shows up and is there to help his reputation.
Salem cannot believe the man she is hired to fix is the man who left after a intense sex filled weekend. Kellen digs his heels in though with Salem and it is only a matter of time before they act on it. Can the man who runs from commitment find a way of redeeming himself?
I really enjoyed this one, Kellen is a jerk of your dreams initially but he grows on you once you get to the heart of what is having him act out. I thought Salem was a delight, she puts Kellen in his place a time or two. Together they are a couple you are hoping will find their happily ever after, looking forward to the next book.

Hit the small town feels on the nose. This is the first book I have read by the talented Donna S. Frelick and being from a small town in the mountains of North Carolina this story truly came to life. With multiple perspectives the author takes us on an adventure into the truly unknown. Moira and her twin sister Claire are both very different but all it takes in one missed meet up and Moira goes on the hunt. Starting where she last heard from her sister, Moira heads to the town of Allenville. All she wants to do is find her sister and when told to talk to the local police chief things shift. Seth is conflicted. He wants to help Moira find her sister but must protect his town. Adding to the growing tension and suspense, beasts, mutilated bodies, secrets being revealed and more, Moira and Seth also must deal with their growing feelings for each other. Claire only stopped for the night to rest while traveling to visit her sister and everything changed. Will Moira find Claire? What happened to Claire? The world building was amazing. I honestly could picture the town and its people in my head. Not only from memory but from experience living in a small mountain town, everyone has their secrets and some of them are way more than you ever expected. The characters give a wide range of perspectives from being an outsider searching for her sister, to an out-of-this-world outsider and even a passerby that got mixed up in the secrets of the town. This was an amazing start to a new series, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in Alienville.

I enjoyed this novel. It was a bit different than what I normally read but it was really interesting. I loved the building of this story and how we were slowly introduced to the world created by this author. The story kept my interest from the beginning to the end and I really enjoyed all the twists and turns in the story. I recommend this story for anyone who enjoys reading science fiction stories.

When Moira goes searching for her ditzy sister Claire, who has vanished near the small mountain town of Allenville, North Carolina, she uncovers more than she ever expected. Two rival groups with an uneasy truce are disrupted when a member of the secluded mountain group kidnaps Claire for their own nefarious purposes. Can the leaders of the two groups collaborate to rescue Claire before it’s too late, while also safeguarding the town’s secret from Moira? Moira finds herself attracted to the appealing police chief Seth Call. Still, she realizes that he’s concealing secrets, including his feelings for her, to protect himself, the town, and its history from an Outsider. It took a few chapters to get into this book as I wasn’t sure what was happening, but then it turned into an exhilarating journey to the end!

This was a fun story and I liked the music industry part of it too. Tyler Robertson is a music manager but is kind of stuck in her job since her boss hates her. She is trying to find new bands and make more for herself but is struggling without the support and the ability to sign girl bands. Cary Kingston is a rockstar who is the number one musician under Tyler’s company. He shows up to the office and they get to chatting. He has a crush on her but doesn’t know how to ask her out and she also has a crush but doesn’t believe he would ever like her back. Cary asks Tyler out to a wine bar but then mentions work so she isn’t sure what the deal is. As they get to know each other, Tyler has to decide if she is going to break her “no dating musicians” rule. Cary needs to figure out how to balance touring, writing music, and a relationship. This was a fun, he falls first, romance and I would definitely pick up another book by this author.

Lexie runs a mystery book club where several members of the town attend. Gayle tells Lexie that she witnessed her boyfriend be taken care of by a police officer in Utah that is now trying to place the blame on her since he has been put on the case. Gayle is worried that police officer is going to come after her or send someone else after her since she knows what really happened. So Lexie is trying to decide if her sister had anything to do with the body that has shown up in her backyard or if it could truly be something to do with why Gayle is running? Could Lexie now be in danger because of what her sister witnessed?

If you are like me, you have tried countless diets and paid a pretty penny. I don’t know what I thought I would gain by reading this book, but boy, am I glad I did! The main thing is to change 1 habit at a time and consistency. I learned a lot of the science behind weight gain and weight loss in words that I could understand. If you are tired of the yoyo diets and really want to change your lifestyle, give this book a read.
