This is a good second story in the series. This is a nicely done mystery/romance. The romance is quick and well done. The author puts enough extras in so it is difficult to figure out the “who dunnit”. We get to see how James will go about getting his girl and protect her from danger. We get a look into how James will go about getting her stalker and the trouble they get into. Things really pick up near the end and it all rounds out nicely.

Master Bistrita (Masters of the Consulate Book 11) by Sylvia Black. I’m going to start by saying I’ve not read all of these books but I was still able to understand the plot and characters. This is a paranormal vampire series and its really good. Its the story of Bistrita who is a dominant and he is set on making Chara submit to his will. Chara is very strong willed and is not going to go willingly. They are fated mates but Chara is determined to not be owned by someone. She really wants to be a vampire but she’s not willing to sell her soul for it. Chara is very independent and not really into being owned by anyone but she can’t deny the sexual attraction between them. There is also a war that is going on and much of the story revolves around that taking away from their romance. This story is full of greed, Betrayal, dark underworld, romance and war. Its a great Paranormal Vampire read!

Oscar and Emmy Visit the Vet is a wonderful and educational book that teaches children how important it is for family pets to visit the vet. The story is engaging and the illustrations are colorful as you learn each part of the visit from shots to grooming hygiene. Overall this is a perfect book for children and adults alike when it comes to caring for their family pet.

This is a great read filled with fantastic characters and a creative storyline which will keep you interested right until the very last word. I truly loved reading about James and Tessa all while trying to figure out who was stalking her. I really enjoyed the side characters as well which is why I will definitely be reading more from this very talented author and soon!! I am new this fabulous author and I have to say I am so glad I found her and I am really looking forward to reading more.

This book will keep you really engaged with all the plot twists in the story. The characters are very well thought out and they all complement each other well. I love how the author keeps the other characters from the previous novels in the picture, without them it would be incomplete.
3.5 stars Paige majored in journalism so that’s what she turns to when she finds her role in a popular series is no longer guaranteed. Her role as an intern TV sports reporter sees her in the thick of things for college sports and a veritable trove of males that are easy on the eyes. But she also has to deal with her ex putting their lives out there for all to hear even though he wants her back and a crush on someone else. Krysten Lindsay Hager brings us a sweet second chance contemporary romance tale for YA/NA readers. Falling for a Star in the City: A Hockey Romance like the others is a well written short story that is full of emotions. It is full of the usual feelings of young love insecurities, drama, angst, anxiety, jealousy and much more. This is the second book in the London Detective series and it is a brilliant follow up to the first. I think for me, this book is even better than what I expected and that was in large part because of the characters involved. Their chemistry was undeniable. The connection was there right from the start, no matter how much they tried to ignore it. But the characters and their connection felt like it was in conjunction with the story, not taking over it like it could have done. I was desperate to know how things would play out – who was involved, what would happened. The author really kept me engaged throughout the whole story. This is a brilliant book and a great continuation of what is building up to be a fantastic series.

This book is a really interesting start to a new series. The main character is on the search of Atlantis and the search leads her to the discovery of a door, and a whole adventure she wasn’t expecting. My favourite part of the book is the characters. Each of them added something different to the story but the overall dynamic between them is what, for me, carried the story. I loved watching them develop as it progressed. Crystal Dawn is a new author to me and I feel like this book was a great way to show off her talents. It was exciting to read and I loved the world building she brought to it. I was excited to get to know the characters and to see what the adventure had in store for them. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

This is the first book in the Alienville series. This is a great sci-fi romance, suspense read. I am not normally a fan of sci-fi however this has so many elements to it that I couldn’t helped but be gripped. In this story you will find danger, violence, conspiracies, creatures from other worlds, as well as intrigue and romance. There is literally something for everyone. The authors creative mind has really created a story that has so many characters and so many layers that I found myself lost in the story. When Moira’s sister Claire goes missing, Moira decides to go to the last place she was supposed to be which was Allenville. When Claire arrives she gets a strange feeling that something bad has happened to her sister and turns to Police Chief Seth Call for assistance.
Seth knows or at least suspects what has happened to Moira’s sister. Their are strange and violent creatures that also love in Allenville. If his suspicions are correct the Claire has fallen pret to these creatures. The problem becomes is she alive or was she murdered? And if she is alive has she been transformed into one of these creature? And the biggest question of all, how is he going to explain to an outsider like Moira what is actually going on and the dangers that lurk in this small town? Can he keep the towns secrets and protect Moria at the same time? Will Moria’s determination to get to the truth or what happened to her sister also put her in harms way?
This story has so many twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to seeing what the author produces for us next

I really enjoyed this story, it pulled me in right away. The relationship between Tessa and James just added more depth to the book. Kept me guessing as to who was stalking Tessa. Great story, definitely one to pick up when you want to put your feet up and read the day away.

I couldn’t put the is book down. It was very easy to read. This book has everything g in it. Moira arrives in a mysterious small town trying to find her missing twin sister. Glass Houses is an extremely short story about Ivy and Falcon with a falling marriage. The feeling of a failing marriage with the two hurting one another is the crux to be explored. The range of emotions that these characters have throughout the few pages is drastic. The content of this book is 18+ due to the graphic nature and adult situations. It took me about 10 minutes to read, I do wish it was a bit longer. There is a nice twist in the end. Will these two find happiness in the end or are they doomed to shatter apart?

Lexie Driscoll is a woman who loves reading and so has taken over organising the local book club, the “Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub” to be exact, and this week they are talking about Josephine Try:s latest book, but something isn’t right at this evening’s book club, the members who are all both neighbours and friends are distracted by things in their own lives and are not really concentrating. Unfortunately, for Lexie things go from bad to worse when someone is caught peeping through her window and one of the attendees goes after them, when they return, Lexie decides to postpone the evening.While all this was happening, Lexie’s sister Gayle turns up distressed and scared after driving straight to Lexie’s from her home, but when she tells Lexie what has happened the next morning, another surprise is waiting on the lawn, the peeping tom from last night, dead! This is where Gayle speeds away again and leaves Lexie in a mess, who was the man and what was he doing there? The police are called and the investigation started, however, things are not all that they seem.
Lexie decides to focus on what is happening with her Bookclub while the police deal with the dead man, but when she asks the questions, she finds that there are more secrets to be unveiled and skeletons which want to escape the closets they are trapped in, but in true Lexie form, she asks what would Tey do and follow where the clues take her, but will she be able to untangle the knot of deceit, denial and revelations as more deaths pile up and the mystery deepens in this cozy mystery.

Falling for a Star in the City is the second book in the Stars in the City Series. This is a YA Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I highly recommend reading the first book in this series as it’s just as good as this one plus you get to know the characters better. The characters are relatable, fully developed and creative. They make the story come to life. Paige and Viktor , she thought she had it all, dream job perfect boyfriend. When her job is reduced she finds herself with an internship for a local tv station Sports department. Viktor is a college hockey player. These two definitely have chemistry between them. They both have issues but can they overcome their issues and have a relationship they both deserve? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author

Nicolo Stark-James and Matty Remington are best friends and have been for years, Nico is one of 5, whereas Matty is an only child, but the main difference between the two of them is that where there is love surrounding Nicolo, it is the opposite for Matty. Just as Matty and Nicolo are spending more time together, Matty leaves and Nicolo must move on with his life, but he struggles to leave him behind.
Nicolo soon is granted an opportunity he cannot turn down and so he moves to attend a specialist school, however, it is the 1880’s in Los Angeles and it is a place where the Victorian values are strict and anything, or anyone not confirming to it is shunned, but as he progresses in his studies he meets an enigmatic young woman who is in a similar field, Eden Godwin by chance and as the two become acquainted, Nicolo realises she might be someone who can ease his heart.
Soon, the time of studying is over and careers are beckoning, so the conversation about family and love is high on the agenda, but Eden is shocked by some revelations and doesn’t know what to think, especially when she goes to visit her family and sees the contrast between the two. These revelations and conversations lead to danger, strong emotions and contradictions between duty and love, especially when Matty and Nicolo are reunited, will love conquer all, or will it be ripped apart before it can truly begin? This is a historical fiction which is full of emotion, unusual circumstances and some very steamy action in between which will keep you hooked all the way through.

Be My Little Baby is the second instalment in the London Detective Agency series by Stephanie R. Caffrey. It is an engrossing romantic suspense with plenty of mystery, crime and investigation, intrigue, tension, stalker danger, investigation, private investigator x client dynamic, chemistry, emotion, secrets, and dramatic developments. When Tessa Lopez, who owns a bustling little bakery in London, is targeted by a stalker, the police fail to help her- so she turns to PI James Moore to help put a stop to her torment. I don’t want to spoil it for you, suffice to say that what happens makes for quite a gripping read. While I really enjoyed the first book, Mistaken Identity, this instalment is even better. It did start off a little slow, but the pace picked up pretty quickly and I was soon pulled into all the intriguing developments. Looking forward to more from Ms. Caffrey. Happy Reading…

I have never wanted to travel to the Virgin Islands more!! I enjoyed this book, especially the setting. It starts off in Chicago where Hope is working at a hotel and hoping for a big promotion. She is the best choice for the job but gets passed over for a younger man. She walks into the office and quits, even after her boss tries to backtrack and get her some type of incentive. Little does she know, her sister had signed her up for a raffle to win a dive resort in St. Croix. On her birthday, while feeling down and not sure what to do with her life, her sister calls to let her know that she WON! She has 48 hours to decide if she is ready to leave the cold and dreary Chicago. No job, no boyfriend, what does she have to lose? She gets to the resort only to find out the owner bailed instead of staying to help her transition. She is freaked out and doesn’t make a great impression on the dive master, Alex. He has been working at the resort for five years and was stunned when the owner and his closest friend just left. He is angry and raises his voice and also doesn’t make a great first impression. Hope, being the hard worker that she is, jumps right in to learning the ins and outs of the resort the next day. Alex and Hope start to get to know each other and are keeping their distance since they both have troubled pasts that they don’t want to share. As they become friends, and try to avoid their attraction to each other, they start to open up. When Hope’s sister visits, we learn a little more about Alex. They boat, swim, dive, and share some meals while deciding if they trust each other enough to start a romance. As soon as I finished, I got onto KU to download the next book!

She enlists the services of PI James Moore. They have an undeniable attraction but he doesn’t date clients no matter the circumstances. Is he willing to make an exception with Tessa? I’m so glad I took a chance on this author when I picked up the first book in this series. I have been looking forward to this installment and I was not disappointed. This book is three short stories in one. Each story is fast paced with a little bit of story and a whole lot of steaminess with BDSM and Dom/sub story lines. This was my first time ready this much erotica but I enjoyed it. I was able to read each story in one night and look forward to ready more from this author. If you like super steamy reads this book is for you. You won’t be disappointed.

Taste of Honey is a 3 story BDSM collection. All with varying degrees of erotica, spicy, romance, feistiness, and anything else you can think of. Each story is different, the common being a male dominant and female submissive. Which is typically what you find in these works of fiction. The Gift is a story about a woman who made the choice as soon as she ended up at the hotel room. Penelope didn’t realize what she was getting herself into with Mr. Deveroux. She felt shamed, humiliated, and at the same time didn’t understand why her body screamed for more. The dynamic between these two felt slow at the beginning. I had difficulty pushing through, but overall their story was enjoyable. The Commander’s Club was my favorite of the 3 stories! A woman end’s up entering a bdsm club to retrieve a friend/colleague that disappeared. Unfortunately her alias raises some red flags. Lucky for her, Dragon is there to guide her through her 6 days of training. An undercover FBI agent, Dragon is there to take down the operation and Courtney could be just the one who causes it to blow up in his face. He wants her but he knows it’ll jeopardize his effectiveness. So how does he navigate her training and this craving for Courtney he can’t get under control? Once in Love is about a girl that’s trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Left to pick up the pieces in France, Laura agrees to be part of an auction to make some money. What she didn’t expect was Nick. She doesn’t want a relationship, but her feelings for Nick deepen as the story goes. Nick has been off the market since his divorce 6 years ago. He only went to the auction to humor his sister in law not expecting to find a woman that will change his life. Will Laura give in to her feelings? Will they break the number one rule of no kissing? That and so much more, you get from these books. Live your darkest desires through these 3 women and you decide which journey is your favorite!

This is one of my favorite authors! I’ve read quite a few of their books because they are able to craft such an engaging experience of a story. The way they can pull you in almost immediately and somehow hold your attention the entire way through is incredible. There is plenty of action, danger, romance, and steam within these pages. I enjoyed how the “alternate” lifestyle was written instead of making it taboo. There are definitely some twists and turns that took me by complete surprise as well. It’s an emotional rollercoaster even from the beginning with Nico’s poor beaten body. The setting is also absolutely perfect. I felt transported to L.A. in the 1800’s! If you enjoy historical romances with a beloved MMF trope, please don’t pass this up! You’ll love it and go back for more!
I had an expectation after reading the synopsis of each story and my expectations were met with each of the stories.
There were parts of Penelope and Vlad’s stories I liked, but of the three it was the one I felt was missing something. While enjoyable it was my least favorite.
Courtney and Dragon’s story had lots of hot moments and some danger thrown in. The chemistry the author was trying to create come through loud and clear. There is one scene in the second half that was probably one of the best I have read in a while.
Laura and Nick’s story definitely had a Pretty Woman vibe which I’m assuming was intentional. I was hooked on this particular story before I finished chapter 1.
Each of these ladies is sassy, strong and independent. They each let go of their inhibitions after a short time. Dom/sub relationships are based on trust of one another. While that trust wasn’t there in the beginning it was built and further strengthened the bond between each of the couples.
Hot and heavy love scenes are not for pearl clutches, but I think the average woman will enjoy them.

This is the second book in the London Detective Agency series, and I enjoyed it even more than the first! While you could possibly read this book without reading the previous one first, I highly recommend picking them up in order. Not only are they just magnificent and complement each other, but getting the background of each character is important in the grand scheme of things. James and Tessa are incredible characters and have been very well developed. The chemistry between the two of them leaps off of the pages! I won’t give anything away, but I will absolutely recommend this book repeatedly. If you enjoy a fantastically crafted romantic suspense story, please do yourself a favor and pick this book up!

Be My Little Baby is Book 2 in the London Detective Agency series and after reading the first book and absolutely loving it, I was excited to dive into this story featuring James. I highly recommend reading the books in orders as you get to know the characters and are captured in each of the stories. I loved the story-line, suspense, drama but also the sizzle and spark between James and Tessa that kept me turning the pages to see what happens next….
Tessa Lopez is a bakery business owner, building her business, but now becomes the target of stalker. When the police do not step in to help, she hires the newly famous PI James Moore. When James takes on Tessa’s case, he never expected for the instant connection to light a spark in him. When the threats toward Tessa become more evident…will James be able to find out whom Tessa’s stalker is before it is to late….. definitely read and find out…
This is a great story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author….

This was a cute who done it mystery finding the murder of a close friend’s brother to Emma. Emma and Jeremy go under cover. Posing as Emma’s friend Peggy, she enlists the help of all her friends and some family to catch a Killer/ con artist. Along the way they are surprised with more twists and who done-its that will leave you guessing who the real killer is.
