I can’t tell who enjoyed this book – the kids or me! I loved the idea of an alphabet book using more imaginative and interesting words and this book has done it perfectly. I loved the choice of words from the author and I loved even more than descriptions were provided. My kids really engaged with the story and learning new words. My daughter was so excited a couple of days later when she was able to use one of them, even more so when it shocked her grandmother!
This whole book is such a clever idea. We got such enjoyment out of reading it the first time and I am sure we will get just as much when we inevitably read it again. I would highly recommend this book.

With this book we are back on another adventure with Porter and Midge, and it is just as entertaining as their other ones. I think this one is easily our favourite in the series so far. We all loved the idea of them lending a hand in the kitchen and found the whole story to be fun and great to read.
The story, as usual, is so well written. It hits its intended audience perfectly. It is engaging and the illustrations really seem to jump off the page. This whole series is absolutely fantastic and we honestly could not recommend it any more.

This is the second book in the London Detective Series. After enjoying the first book I didn’t hesitate in picking this book up and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a romance suspense filled with drama, intrigue, danger, and investigation.
In this story we meet Tessa. She goes to the London Detective Agency for help when she starts to recieve letters and photographs. Knowing she has a potential stalker on her hands she enlists the aid of PI James Moore to get to the bottom of this. As they start to solve this case the chemistry between them also heats up.
However James has made it a rule of his that he doesnt date clients so what will that mean for the attraction between James and Tessa.
And as they get closer together what will happen to Tessa’s stalker. The stalker is determined to have Tessa all to themselves so how will they react as the spark between Tessa and James grows. Will this lead them both into a dangerous situation with targets on their backs, or will they be able to stop the stalker in their tracks before they go too far.

This book is book one in the Rockstars Series, and I can’t wait to read the rest of them. We first meet Lucy and her cousin, Sera, they are 17 and in an airport waiting for a delayed flight. They never expected to meet a member of their favorite rock band, Jessie Kingston. While Lucy is nervous and confused, Sera handles it well and they all board their flights. Years later, Lucy, who is now an actress, and Sera, who is a model, are slated to work on a music video without knowing who they’re working with. They are surprised to learn that they are working with Jessie and his band. The sparks fly almost immediately, and Lucy and Jessie begin dating, while Sera and Lucy decide to start a whole new career. This is a GHEA with a lot of sex and a good bit of cursing, but also a lot of heart and characters you grow to care a good deal about.

Please please please heed the trigger warnings. This book hit so close to home for me. This story is full of emotions and turmoil as Noah and Bijou navigate what is and is not okay in the moment. As Bijou is navigating life after her husband has passed and how to be a mother at the same time, is something that hit me so hard. I had to take couple times and set this down and come back. However, this makes me want to read the rest of this series.
Gripping Read! This is a great suspense with a taste of romance. I really enjoyed this read, it has a range of drama that will have you wanting to more. Great characters and an interesting storyline. Recommend for all readers.

Back in the Ring by Brooke May

Bijou has been through a lot the past few years but the biggest struggle is trying to keep her husband’s memory alive with the youth club he set up for under privileged kids, but with the economy in the toilet she is struggling to keep her head above water at the moment and she is also trying to raise her 12 year old daughter which is not an easy task on her own.
So when things needs fixing within the centre who can she rely on to help, Noah was her husband’s friend and a widower himself looking after his two year old son, so he volunteers to help with the repairs as a handyman he is more than capable of helping fix it up, but he is private and pushes people away if they get too close, but he has a secret but what happens when secrets threaten to be revealed.
This is the fourth book in the series and can be read as a stand alone story. The characters are well developed and the story flows brilliantly. The chemistry between these characters is off the charts and you are willing them to get together and see where it goes. Bijou’s daughter is just the right kind of angst to make the character believable.
I enjoyed this story and read fast paced to see what would happen in the end, the secondary characters where a great additional to the story and added an extra layer which has you invested in the story. I can’t wait to read the next instalment of this series.
Her Sapphire Blade: An Arthurian-Inspired Portal Fantasy Novel by Sarah Biglow

A retelling of Camelot but Morgan is the heir. The story has witches, fae, and dragons. It is a really cute story. It was detailed and progressed fairly quickly. I think it could have been longer if time was skipped at certain spots. It seemed to be written with mostly the intense scenes there and a lot of the slower parts or story filler parts left out. It was non-spicy but did have some adult language.

Loving the cover ! I’m a little annoyed at myself for only coming into The Demented Souls now ! I didn’t feel lost at all by very deprived 😉 so I’ll be starting at the beginning soon enough …..
So Malice is newly patched into The Demented Souls and after serving in the army he needs a little peace and quiet so the ranch seems to be ideal , he’s in town grabbing a bite to eat when he sees a woman in quite the predicament, her ex is trying to kidnap her and lucky for her Malice is around to intervene , Patrick, the ex clearly doesn’t understand when to leave well enough alone 😡
Bonnie needs to get off the grid for a bit and the ranch seems to be the ideal place and at least Malice can keep and eye ( his hands and mouth ) on her 😉
I know these bikers have a bad rep but one thing is they’re protective and what you see is what you get , a true brotherhood .
Bonnie is one very lucky lady 🥰

Emily Bybee delivers a gripping thriller that I really enjoyed.
Harper is an artist and computer science major just trying to live a normal life when she finds out that her brother Will, who is serving in the Delta Force, disappears. His last email to her is very suspicious, and before she knows it she is thrown into a world of government conspiracies, mercenaries and deep, dangerous secrets. Her only friend in digging down to the truth is her brother’s friend, Caleb.
The stakes are high and her odds to figure it out are low, but Harper is determined to get to the truth.
Very good read!

This is a very cute, highly detailed illustrated children’s guide to feeding pets safe treats. Not only that but it even give you recipe upon recipe to make for your pets. It is a wonderful guide and learning tool for any child with a dog. My daughter LOVES this series.

This is book four in the Predator Series. And how sad does this story start!! Death of a loved one just plain sucks. New characters are introduced who pull me right into their world.
I loved this story, even with the underlying sadness. Hope is a good thing. Second chances are amazing.
This story can be read without reading the first three, but it helps connect the characters later into the story.
The writing in this story is good. I enjoyed this book and the series. Looking forward to reading May’s other series.

The 4th book in The Predator Series and the second read for me in this series. By far my favorite yet. Bijou and Noah have both lost their spouses and have been alone raising a child for at least a year (Noah).
Will meeting and learning about each other, helping one another with difficulties, and just growing together as friends, and companions lead to more in the future? This book was very hard to put down and finishing it was a breeze. I absolutely loved the characters, especially Mara the quirky best friend of Bijou. This is one of my most favorite reads of this year so far. The highs and lows, the laughs, tears, frustration, you feel it all.

She had courted danger many times. It fed the darkest part of her. Perhaps it wanted something in return.
El Diablo is Book #2 in the Southwest Suspense series by Kathryn Dodson. It is set a couple of years after the events in Book #1 and even though you could read it as a standalone, I highly recommend reading ‘Tequila Midnight’, as not only is it a great little thriller, but it also provides a lot of character background, details, development, and other important information which will help you to fully appreciate this instalment.
Ms. Dodson has written quite a few books now, and I have enjoyed them all- but I have to admit that these Jessica Watts, and the Southwest Suspense novels are my favourite. There is just something about Jessica that draws me in. She’s tough, yet vulnerable, independent, and even a little ruthless at times. She can be forceful, sassy, brave, resilient, and stubborn. And she’s had quite a ‘colourful’ past awash with dark bars, intimate encounters, and liberal amounts of alcohol – tequila being her preferred poison. But she’s also awash with doubts and insecurities- especially since she has ‘turned over a new leaf’, so to speak. But underneath all her quirks and flaws, she’s fiercely loyal to her friends and ‘found’ family, and has a burning desire for justice, to help people in need. This desire has led to many dangerous situations, especially since she has a tendency to act first and ask questions later. She is having trouble accepting some of the ‘changes’ she’s had to make, and craves some of the excitement that her ‘wild’ days provided. She has been through a lot, but through it all her ‘gut’ instincts have held her in good stead. Which is exactly how she finds herself pitted against a twisted psychopath, because her gut tells her that the godly man is actually a monster in disguise, who has a sinister plot that involved preying on teenage girls. When he targets someone too close to home, Jessica’s protective instincts kick in and become a driving force as she is thrust into a tense game of cat and mouse. How far is Jessica willing to go? Another great instalment in this suspenseful thriller series. Woven with plenty of gritty mystery, intrigue, tension, danger, action, adventure, crime & investigation, family, friendship, agendas, well-developed interesting characters, action, emotion, and dramatic developments- which made putting this book down almost impossible.
Also, I adore the cover of this book!!! Just gorgeous. Along with Book #1, I would love poster-sized versions to hang on my office/library wall so I could gaze at them all the time.
Can’t wait to see what Jessica gets up to next, especially now she seems to have found a kindred spirit in the form of her new boss.

Six long years later they meet up again, this time on the set of Falling Down’s newest music video. When Jesse proposes a weekend of no strings attached sex Lucy tries her hardest to keep things strictly professional. When the video wraps she decides that she can’t pass up the opportunity that has been presented. She goes into it knowing that Jesse doesn’t do relationships, but as the weekend progresses things start to change. Will one weekend be enough? I enjoyed this book as well as the characters. I enjoyed Lucy’s mama and her antics because I understood where she was coming from as a mother. If you like angsty rock stars finding true love even though they swear they will be a forever bachelor this is your book.

I would absolutely reccecomend this book to others. I picked it up at random due to its back jacket ; I can definitely say I was not disappointed. Bybee keeps her readers drawn in wanting to know what’s on the next page. I had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed the storyline and thought the main characters were well written. I can’t wait to see what Byee comes up with next.

This novel is an intense adventure that uncovers a conspiracy with far-reaching fingers and deadly consequences. The trail leads from a greedy corporation right into the heart of Washington. I enjoyed the female lead character being a hacker and would have liked to see more of that. The art stuff was cool because I knew what the author was talking about. I liked the layers to the story.

I didn’t know what to expect with this book but I was pleasantly surprised. It draws you in and keeps you guessing until the very end. I love Oscar and Emmy series. In this book, Oscar and Emmy visit the vet, it is all about caring for pets and how to keep them healthy. It covers the topics on what to expect in a vet clinic and the procedures which the vet follows with the pets, their vaccinations, dental care etc. It has a lot of useful information, the story is simple, easy to follow and is complemented by a lot of colorful pictures. Highly recommend to all the children who have pets or planning to get a pet in their household.

My kids and I have read a few books by this author before, so we were excited to see another one come out! Even though both of my kiddos are a little above the target audience, we all still enjoyed the story immensely. There are such colorful and eye-catching illustrations inside which definitely add a bit more to the story. Joe starts his morning spelling his name with alphabet cereal and my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever! Now they definitely want alphabet cereal. Joe is excited to go to school and learn how to read. Will he get the chance to learn on his first day? Both my kids were shocked that Joe was just walking around town by himself. Thank goodness for Bea! I highly recommend adding this to your library at home, at daycare, or at school. This is a wonderful read for young kiddos!

My kids and I absolutely adore the Porter and Midge series because with each one we find another way to connect with our furry friends. This one has become our favorite that we have found in the series because we’re a family of bakers! The story is pretty short which kept the attention of my 8-year-old. We spent a ton of time together baking treats for not only our furr-mily but for the entire neighborhood (with their human’s permission, of course). There are so many recipes inside and a little note at the end with a few guidelines to explain why we use the ingredients we do for canines. I highly recommend this for you to share with family and friends! It will surely bring some fun and love into the household with your pups having happy tummies!
