Picking Pismo by Emi Hilton – Review by Kerry Carr
Picking Pismo by Emi Hilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was an emotional romance read. This author made sure to write a story that really captures your heart, breaks it and then slowly rebuilds it back together. This is a story of finding true love when you least expect it and it is the last thing you want.
Claire needs to return to Pismo Beach to take care of her younger sister after her mother passes away. Claire has no intention to stay there and has 3 months to sort everything and take her younger sister Alexis back with her.
While Claire is there she meets David.
David is a divorcee who is hasn’t been able to move forward since his wife left him and meeting Claire isn’t going to change that or so he thought.
As they spend time together their connection grows and David has to keep reminding himself that it is temporary, with Claire planning on leaving soon there is no risk of him getting hurt right?
Even though their relationship seems perfect with past problems from David’s past and Claires plans to leave Pismo Beach can they find a way to overcome all the obstacles stacked against them to give their love a chance?
This is a beautifully written story that had me feeling all sorts of emotions. The author has created a beautiful love story that will captivate the hearts of the reader.
