Mr.Lucky is the first book and start to the Trentbridge Tales series. When James, a former detective finds himself at rock bottom, he decides to try his luck with a lottery ticket. He has lost his family and everything he cherishes and can not even afford to feed himself, so what does he have to lose? To his astonishment, he wins big; now all of his problems are solved, right? Not so much. Now he has some rather unpleasant people tracking him down and finding himself battling the underbelly of society, and his own demons. This was the first book by Lee Wood that I have read and it kept me guessing. This story is written in multiple POVs and has enough excitement, drama, danger, and psychological battle to make you love the writing. I am happy to continue on to the next book and see if the story continues and where the path leads.
