Kat is a young teenager that has witnessed a horrible crime. But only because she was running away from a foster home, she really did not belong in. Maddi, Kat’s case worker is given Emergency custody of Kat due to the situation Kat is facing. Realizing that Kat has an older brother that is currently on active duty, she hopes to reunite them. That comes sooner than later due to Nate being home now. But Nate cannot take custody of his little sister until Maddi deems Nate is capable of protecting Kat. And protect she needs as well as may Maddi herself, from an unknown threat they did not see coming.
