Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell – Review by Kerry Baker
Miami Days Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell is a brilliantly told tale of history mixed with the present day.
After the first book I didn’t know what the author could do to progress this series. I was intrigued to see what else was to come. What she has produced is simply a work of art.
The way each chapter jumps between the two timelines is so effortless. The issue with this method is that a lot of authors struggle to keep the story straight and not too complicated and yet Linda Bennett Pennell does it with ease. You never feel overwhelmed or confused. Each character’s story is so strong you can clearly tell them apart.
The book has a great depth to it and I found it surprising at just how compelling I found it. This is a very very good book and one I would highly recommend.
