Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Shelly Kittell

5 out of 5 stars
Oh my goodness~! I loved everything about this book as an audio. First, let me start with narration. Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister are the perfect pair for this author’s books. They make the chemistry of the story explosive. The tone of the story is sexy and smoldering. The author’s writing is always a treat. Yes, this is an MC but the story also has a good vs evil edge to it. I am a huge fan of the author and the MC because its a bike group trying to go right. I love the fact that its growing into a family group. In this story, Peg felt so real, he just wanted what everyone else had. He was very considerate and a gentleman for Darcy’s feelings. He also was there to protect her. Darcy is kickass even through all the challenges she had to go through. She struggled with a lot and still came out a survivor. Terrific story. Another winner for this author. I can’t wait for the next.

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Kerry Baker

This series is easily one of my favourite and the audio books are some of the best I have listened to. I become so emerged in what is happening and find myself completely lost by the story. This one is no exception at all and I loved the entire book. I kept finding reasons to turn it back on again and in no time had finished it.

This author is absolutely fantastic. She has created a series so strong, with a lasting effect, and yet has still managed to retain each individual book’s identity. The characters come across so strong and you can’t help but fall in love with them. This is a fantastic book and I would urge everyone to try it today!

Never Is A Very Long Time (The Perfect Date Book 1) Audiobook by Donna McDonald – Review by Gabrielle

Mariah’s ex-husband continues to bring problems to her door but this latest one comes with a new twist and his name is John. Mariah thought that her ex turned her off of men for good, but John does something to her that she cannot deny.

Mariah and John’s story is a fast-paced story. It is very sweet and charming. It was nice to see not only the main character as a strong woman but many of the supporting females were as well. Love gets a second chance to bloom, and listeners are along for the ride. This story is also full of supporting quirky female characters that will pull you in and leave you interested in finding out more about them.

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6)

So much happened in this book that explains things from the books further down in the series. While I knew the results I didn’t know the how and some little things make sense to me now.

Peg is the one to fall this time and it was everything I have come to expect from this author and the Satan’s Devils and couldn’t stop listening.   Listening to the book on my way too and from the office on my first week back in the office made the commute suck a little less. 😉

Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister once again bring a voice to the characters I love so much.  I found myself getting lost in the story and may have missed a few things.

I hope Ms. Kline and Mr. McAllister continue to narrate this series.  I don’t know if they would have the same feel.

Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate – Review by Emily H

Once upon a time Dragon’s were the guardian of a slayer’s soul.  That is until Slayers killed dragons.  Now Dragons are very careful about staying hidden, but Orelle Molyneux needs to have some freedom instead of staying hidden all the time.  One night though she ends up meeting Saxton Lance aka Apollo dragonslayer, the attraction is instant but Orelle is guarded and wants to keep Saxton at a distance.   Neither plan for the secrets each holds but what happens when it is revealed, will it be another slaying or could they change their fate?

This was an entertaining story.  I was pulled in right away and thought this was a unique take to a mythology shifter story.   Saxton radiated on each page, found his character really intriguing.   Great story, look forward to more in this series.

Stand Your Ground Audiobook by A.J. Ullman – Review by Bobbi Wagner

I enjoyed listening to this suspenseful story.   I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. I also enjoyed how the narrator brought to the story as well.   The narrator’s change in tones for the characters has me coming back for more.  This is an easy book to listen to as it is fast paced and engaging.   This is a story about Cady and how life throws her some unexpected situations that change her. She is now faced with standing her ground and murder, will these two cross? The question remains will she run or stand her ground for justice.   I loved Cady’s character.  A great supportive, connectable person.  I really enjoyed what she brought to the story.  A great audiobook by a great author.  I highly recommend this audio.

Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is my first audio by this author.  I enjoyed listening to it from start to end.  I found this book easy to listen to.  I enjoyed how the narrator brought the story to life.  The change in tones made the story interesting and easy to listen to.  This is a fantasy story with a touch of romance.  The characters are great and had me coming back for more.  There is great growth and chemistry throughout which made the story fun to listen too.  This is a great audio that I enjoyed listening to on my way to work.  I highly recommend this audio and I can’t wait to see what this author has for us next

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

I have never had an audiobook made me cry, almost, but this audiobook had me weeping at parts. There is no doubt there are triggers in the story of Peg and Darcy, and some of those parts were very hard to swallow and listen to….but the story was truly fantastic and one of my favorites by this author.

Peg is a sergeant at arms for the Satan Devils MC and has been searching for somebody to love him for who he is….. and not just feel sorry for him.

Darcy is a very kind considerate and has a great heart and is also a fire fighter, which I admire. After an altercation that ends up in violence, Darcy is on the run. When Peg meets Darcy, there is instant attraction and Peg is all about protecting Darcy against a man that was cruel…..Will Peg be able to save Darcy when she needs it most and also battling the integrity of the club?

This story for me was just a roller coaster of pure emotion. I had tears I had smiles and parts of just jaw-dropping moments…….⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Cindy Mayberry

First off I wish I could give this series and the author more than 5 stars. This is Peg and Darcy’s story. Peg has respect for those around him. To me he is hard as nails yet kind hearted. Basically don’t make him mad. Darcy is a firefighter who has earned her right to be in the firehouse and work beside her fellow firefighters. She too is hard as nails and extremely kind hearted. That’s where the story takes off. I will not give you any spoilers. You just have to read it to believe it. This author has quite the imagination, that’s what makes her stories so easy to read. When this author’s name comes up I don’t even see what the story is about, as I know I will be reading or listening to it soon. The characters are easy to fall in love with and the story is fast paced. Be prepared to bring those emotions with you. You will need them.

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by M Policicchio

Ya know how some series have that book that just isn’t as good as the first or the rest?  This is not that series.  There has not been a bad book, an unsatisfying read or listen as the case may be.  I absolutely love these books, these characters, this family.

Peg has been burned time and time again because people suck.  Peg became an amputee as a result of his time in the military.  Peg has made his peace with it.  He understands that it is a problem for some folks, as he has felt the sting of rejection and seen the looks of disgust.  Peg has a good life but as he is watching his brother’s fall in love, grow families, find happiness, he thinks his life is missing something.  A disastrous first date left Peg restless, so he went for a ride.  A ride that led him to her.

Darcy just had the worst night of her life.  The guy she allowed to live in her house for a few days after his house burnt has turned to the house guest from hell.  He won’t leave, he wants a relationship with Darcy, and he says she just needs to get used to the idea.  How could she let this happen?? She is a strong, intelligent, independent woman.  She is a firefighter.  Was her judgment when it comes to men really that bad?  Sitting by the roadside, out of gas, no cellphone, Darcy can’t believe her luck.  As a Harley pulls up behind her, she can’t handle one more problem.

Only the biker isn’t a problem, he is the answer to all her dreams.  Maybe that is the problem.  Peg is everything she wants in a man and a partner.  Peg feels the same way about Darcy.  Peg is ready to put up with all the jokes and ribbing from his brothers to keep a woman like Darcy in his life.  When wildfires threaten the Compound and put Darcy in danger, everything goes up in flames.  Can they find their way through the smoke to come out the other side?

Did I mention that I LOVE this series?  As I read/listen to each book, the characters continue to grow and become more loveable.  I couldn’t wait for Peg’s story.  I have loved him since he first appeared in Turning Wheels.  Can’t wait for the next one!!

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Piper Foster

We are back with the Satan’s Devils MC again. Today we are diving into Peg’s story and what a story it is. A wildfire near the compound a hurt lady called Darcy who is not replied by Peg’s leg and accepts him as whom he is. Darcy is a strong lady but doesn’t know if getting with a biker will affect her career as this is very important to her. Heart is nervous as Marica is due to drop and with all these wildfires happening how will this happen and when? Making enemies with a higher roller who is keeping his son out of jail even with his law-breaking actions. Add on two of the brothers are more than just brothers and you have an exciting action-packed story with romance chucked in and of course some raunchy sex scenes.

Peg’s Stand ( Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mallett – Review by Caralee Loonat

Yet another trip in the the Satan’s MC world and I was not let down. I really enjoy this series and it was even better being able to listen as I went about my daily tasks. Audio books bring a whole new depth to the book and the different narrators add to that. I really enjoyed the point of view format and the mix of a male and female narrator.

There is just the right amount of drama and action mixed in with the romance to balance it out. I find that the author is able to draw the backstory around and bring the characters to life. I really also like how all the books compliment the one before and blend together. I really look forward to reading and listening to more of this series.

Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

Peg finds that he is longing for love. Darcy wants to prove that she is just as strong as one of the guys. Can the two find love? Darcy’s roommate turns into her wrist nightmare; Peg becomes her knight in shining armor. I really enjoyed watching the continued growth of the Satan’s Devils and this was no different. Peg really showed his caring side and showed that real men do have feelings and aren’t afraid to show it. Darcy is a strong woman who knows what she wants and provides a nice contrast to the subservient women previously introduced in the books. The story was filled with quite a bit of action but there was a lot of little intense moments versus one big problem taking place. Overall, a really great book where I found myself laughing, crying, getting angry, and then oh so happy.

Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

This book is based in Greek Mythology, the story of dragons and their slayers. The story is that the dragonslayer will not be a complete person until they slay their dragons. By slaying one’s dragon, they release their soul into themselves in order to live their complete, fulfilled life. One night, dragonslayer Apollo, aka Saxton, meets a woman named Orelle, in a club. Her dancing and scent intoxicates him and he is immediately attracted and doesn’t understand why. Orelle, is a dragon disguised in her human form. The two of them have a mutual attraction, but Orelle is not supposed to be out amongst the crowds. However, the two of them keep finding each other and finally give in to their whims of sexual attraction. Each of them, though, are keeping many secrets. How long can these secrets stay hidden? Will they figure out why the attraction is there, and if they do, what does that mean since they are mortal enemies?

Overall, I thought this book was okay. I like the idea of the story and the Greek Mythology behind it. I thought that the characters were interesting. Orelle, I liked her ambition and straight-forward aspects. With Saxton, he was extremely straight-forward which I don’t normally have issues with, but I found it unattractive in this character. I think a lot of that comes from the wording that the author uses. There were times where I just thought the wording was cringy, and I like dirty talk, etc. He did grow on me toward the end of the story, however. I also didn’t really like the narrator of the audiobook, he sounded Scottish. This could be a big reason why I thought that the book was just okay. The accent was pretty thick so I, at times, lost interest in the story.

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Series Book 1) Audiobook by Misty Hayes – Review by Ashley Hasting

Zoey Taylor is a 15 year old teenager who is already super smart and dedicated to get out of Texas. 10 years ago, she was told by her family that she disappeared from her home and was found by her brother Corinth. Ever since then, she always had nightmares. Now she comes to Thanksgiving with new friends, a billionaire showing up to her family door, and many secrets revealed. It gets a lot more fun to listen!

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Series Book 1) Audiobook by Misty Hayes – Review by Kerry Baker

It had been a while since I had read this book so I couldn’t wait to experience it in a different format. And what a great way yo dive back into it this was. I found myself becoming so immersed in the story while listening to it and I was completely hooked once again with the story. I thought the narrator did a great job – the boom was vivid and easy to picture exactly what was going on. It made me excited for this series all over again. For me, everything about this is perfect and I think everyone should have a listen today!

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Series Book 1) Audiobook by Misty Hayes – Review by Alison Risher

This was an absolutely fabulous listen! Quite frankly, it exceeded my expectations. The author had angels and demons as characters, yet remained respectful of traditional Judeo-Christians beliefs. The characters were amazing. Life is rough enough when you are a high school student, but having to navigate the hallmarks of teenage drama, in addition to supernatural elements, gives listeners an added sympathy for the characters.

This audiobook blew me away! I will be buying a hard copy for my shelf asap! While I think this book is excellent for YA, As a full grown adult I thoroughly enjoyed! This is my first from the author and WOW, I will be getting more ASAP. The book flowed nicely, narration was great and I found myself zoned out to anything else while listening. It was fascinating, relative with a fantasy spin and just an incredible story!! Would recommend all the way!

Just like that a new YA series begins. This is a fun and intense story to read. Get your teens reading as well. There are times when I just don’t feel like reading so I let Audio do it for me.

WOW!!! Zoey has been told all her life she took off in the middle of the night. In Fact she was reminded of that event for many years to come. Until a visitor shows up and the real story comes out. So what happens next? Well read on and keep turning those pages,  because you don’t want to miss the outcome of this fantastic series. This author had me hooked on her book before I finished the first chapter. The story is fast paced and will keep you drawn in. Her characters are relatable as read their part in this series. I hope the next book comes out soon as I am waiting to see what happens next.

Notebook Mysteries ~ Emma (Notebook Mysteries Book 1) Audio Book by Kimberly Mullins – Review by Cindy Mayberry

This was a great travel audible book. Emma, age 16, works in the family bakery and holds her own when things get rough. Now, even though she has been trained, she has no experience. But that does not stop her from getting involved. She has a habit of writing things down that seem out of place. Actually that’s clever for someone her age. This was a high energy suspenseful story. Questions asked, and questions answered is what you will find throughout this story. The author has quite the imagination and her story keeps everyone entertained. This is a great story for teens and young readers alike. This is a historical novel, which generally I don’t read, but this one drew my interest. I’m happy I took the chance, and look forward to reading the others in this series.

Murder Creek (Audio) is a  Mystery that is packed with action, murder, mystery and suspense. I truly enjoyed listening to this fast paced story as much as I did reading it.  The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the story and characters alive. Her different tones pulled me in and I found myself lost (caught up) in the story and nothing else got done.  I’m a huge fan of this author and I’m definitely going to check out more audio from her. Get ready to be taken on a journey of  mystery and suspense  in Murder Creek as  Evie tries to solve the mystery of the disappearance of Lacey Walker. Evie  doesn’t stop until she has the answers and some are where she never expected them to be.  Will  she uncover the truth of what really happened?  Will she  uncover why Lacey Walker disappeared?  I highly recommend listening to this fast paced story to find out what happens next.  I can’t wait to listen to more books by this author.

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles Book 2) Audio Book by Tricia Copeland – Review by Amanda Glaspie

This was an interesting listen as Titania battles to determine who she can trust while also containing locusts that threaten her kingdom. I have read/listened to the first book but I found that not to be an issue. The author did a good job of referencing the first book and giving a quick background. I did find that the book jumped around and glossed over details or focused on details that were not as important but overall I enjoyed the book. I find myself rooting for strong female characters, especially when their differences are highlighted and focused on trying to make them appear as bad. Titania is a strong character who proves her worth through her actions.

Murder Creek (Audio Book) by Jane Suen – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is an author that I have loved reading and I was excited to pick up one of her audio books, it didn’t let me down.  I enjoyed how the narrator is able to pull me into the story.  The different tones that were used made the story engaging to listen to.  I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life.  This story is a journey of suspense, mystery that takes place in a town named for past murders.   A story where it could mean life or death.  A story full of action and suspense.  You don’t want to miss this audiobook.  It is one of my favorites by this author  yet.  I highly recommend this audiobook.

This was a fantastic audio book and one that I really enjoyed listening to. The authors writing together with the wonderful narration really brought this story to life. I could easily imagine everything that I was listening to. The character Tatiana was so amazing – I loved listening to her story. I really felt her emotions at times and I felt really connected to her as a character. The author did an amazing job with creating the fantasy land that this series takes place in and her wonderful attention to detail makes it so believable to read. I would highly recommend this audio book and I can’t wait to listen to more from this author in the future!
