This is book 2 in a standalone book that is part of a 4 book series. Our FMC is a reporter determined to figure out what is going on with the MMC’s friends and lodge. Lots of mystery and intrigue go along with this book, in addition to the heat between this couple. I haven’t read the first book but will be going back to it after finishing this one! The mystery surround the Freemasons, the dominating personality of the MMC, and the personality of the FMC are a winning combination!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author knows how to keep me coming back. So far I’ve read several books by the author and I really can’t choose my favorite. So far The Freemasons Series is good. The Victor is the first book in The Freemasons Series.
Cole is trying to move on with his life. He buried his father without his wife by his side. In fact, they haven’t been in the same house in six months. So when she wants a divorce he says on one condition. The quote I chose for Cole is: “I mean, the time to come and see me would’ve been when I needed to have my wife by my side. The day I buried my father.”
Ava is going to ask Cole for a divorce, but she isn’t expecting him to say no. She knows it’s time to move on, but what if she doesn’t really want to let go. It seems that might be the case with them. The quote I chose for Ava is: “What do you mean? I want a divorce, Cole. Don’t you think it would be best for the both of us if we ended our marriage?”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Kendall is a female sports writer trying to survive at the small paper she works at. She is the daughter of a fighter so she knows the sport. When she is looking for her big story she didn’t count on meeting Chad, a fighter. He is everything she said she didn’t want but looks are deceiving. She is the distraction he doesn’t need. Reading about the strong pull they have left me wanting more but I feel the story was rushed more than I personally would have liked. I am always happy with the final outcome though. Still a very sweet and heart felt story.

I enjoyed Adrianna’s character and these two were entertaining to read. There was so much going on in the story that I was sucked in! And, as secrets were being revealed, I was excited to see how it was going to affect them. And one of the secrets…WOW…
A great book that I devoured in a sitting and am looking forward to reading what happens next!

When the cuckoo chick hatches, it is large, noisy and hungry all the time, again Mama Warblers neighbour again comments on this and again Mama Warbler just says it is one more chick, but will she be able to raise this large, hungry chick and love it like it is one of her own when her own eggs hatch? This is a story based on scientific fact with beautiful illustrations and a lesson we all can learn from, a wonderful short read.

Having read and enjoyed the first book in this series about a group of Freemasons, I was looking forward to this second instalment, and I was not disappointed. In this story, the focus is on Dominic Cacciari, who has sworn to ensure the integrity of the brotherhood of Freemasonry. However, he didn’t think this would include seducing the women who is determined to expose their secrets. Gemma Hughes is an entertainment journalist, and having lost her father under mysterious circumstances, she wants to find those responsible and get justice for her father. When her investigations lead her to the Freemasons, she’s suspicious as her father was once a member. As soon as Dominic and Gemma meet their chemistry sizzles off the page, and once they touch neither can deny their mutual attraction, even though they both try to resist it. The more time they spend together the more the lines between love and what they are both fighting to protect become blurred. Secrets are threatened to be uncovered and danger lurks for the couple in this enemies to lovers romance. I was hooked from page one, and the plot kept me happily turning the pages well into the night. Although this can be read as a standalone story, I would personally recommend reading the whole series, as each book has been an entertaining and engaging read.

An enjoyable and engaging romance, which kept me happily turning the pages late into the night. Chef Olivia is twenty nine and professionally is doing well, but personally, things are not so great. Having to deal with a cheating husband, a husband stealing ex-friendship, a nagging mother, and nepotism at work, Olivia thinks it’s time for a change. Just as everything is falling apart, Olivia decides to open her own business, she’s just thankful for her friends. Entering the glamorous business world of sleepless nights, over working, drunken guests, gossipy clients, those wanting freebies, and networking groups, Olivia has to balance everything on her plate in order to make a go of her new business. The storyline flowed well and has a mix of crazy characters in it, who all bring something different to the story. I loved Olivia as she’s a very likeable and relatable main character, and I was really cheering her on!

I was excited to start reading this book give how good the first was and book 2 certainly did not disappoint. The chemistry between the character in this book was obvious from the start and it emanated from each interaction. I love an enemies to lovers story and this is easily one of the great ones. The story fit well with the characters, keeping pace with their strong connection. I was pulled into the story and everything going on. I wanted to see how things were going to work out. This is an author I have become increasingly familiar with and I always enjoy her work. If this series keeps going the way it is hen it is shaping up to be one of my favourites of hers for sure.

I went into this book expecting it to be a simple second chance romance but actually got something so much more emotional that I thought it would be. I enjoyed the connection between the main characters. They had history that could have got between them and yet they found a way to make things work. The author really did so well to create a story that was full of emotional connections, romance and amazing characters. As the start of a new series this book shows great signs of what is to come. This book is well written, engaging and was such a great book to read. I can’t wait to start on book two.

Ahhh! We are BACK for the sequel. I really enjoyed this one! I love Makayla- and seeing how she was ostracized from her family was interesting. I was wondering how they would react to her being in the Grave Digger Academy. The inter-academy face off was a fun addition to the series. I enjoyed seeing how much Makayla has grown between the first book to now. I’m also kind of glad no one was transferred out of the school to another one- just because I really love the secondary characters in this series. Makayla is GREAT but they are all so funny! There was so much development in this book that really made me excited for the next in the series. Also how did I just realize this author also wrote Evil Sushi? <- one of the best reads I’ve read in awhile!!!

Looking for an interesting thriller type story? This author has one for you. The Intruders are just that…. intruders…beings that don’t belong and don’t mean well for human kind. The story is well written with main character Dex leading the way most of the time. His family is pretty important to him and the story. Other characters stand out as well. Connor, Quinn and Pam just to name a few.
Towards the climax of this story, I did not think Dex would find a way to overcome the intruders…as I write this review, I still have about 10 mins left to read and I am still wondering if all will be well!!! Definitely being kept on the edge of my seat while reading this adventure.
Interesting fun fact. This author includes an author’s note after each chapter. While that is something new to me, it brought a little bit of insight to the story from the author. It was weird at first for me but by the end of the story I was looking forward to seeing what he had to say.
I’d be interested in what else this author writes. Maybe another world saving mission for Dex!
This is an action packed sci-fi adventure that is unlike any other I have read. As the first in a new series I definitely starts with a bang. I loved Vandal. I thought he was such an interesting and engaging character. He kept me entertained from start to finish and for me carried the story. I thought the premise of this book was such an interesting one, and not one that I had read anything similar to before. The way it was developed intrigued me and I easily found myself connecting with it. The author created a great pace to the book that fit perfectly with what was happening. After reading this book I am looking forward to see what comes next.

This book was literally one of the cutest I’ve read in a while. This was exactly what I needed to get out of a slump!! I was hooked with the whole pets aspect of this and it revolving around pet shelters and shops. I really was having such a fun time reading this I liked the parts where they talk to each other as the pets it was adorable. I really connected with Georgia and her issues with asking for help and feeling the need to take care of everyone plus your own issues on your own. Hudson was a strong male lead and I adored him. This was an easy read and I highly recommend especially if you like pets being in books

This was a great dark romance mafia book. I have never read a book by this author and I thought Via Mari did an excellent job writing this! To start off the book, I thought it was a bit slow for me. Granted there was some mafia action but just not enough to keep me reading consistently. But I stuck through it and I am so glad I did. Who doesn’t love a bit of mystery in the middle of a mafia romance? Read and you will unravel the mystery of Adrianna. Not only does she fight her instincts, but she was instantly drawn to Salvatore. Again, who doesn’t love reading about the head of the mafia down on his knees falling for a woman he never thought he could love. Throughout the book I fell more and more in love and I couldn’t put it down. I cannot wait for the next installment!

While this is my first book I have read by Willa Drew, I cannot wait to read more. I started this book thinking I could take my time reading it, and a couple hours later, I completed the book. This book was that good! From the heartbreak to the love and romance, the paparazzi’s to the bodyguards. I couldn’t get enough! Let us not forget about the banter between Wil and El, that just kept me laughing hysterically. Then for El to describe her love for music as her lifeline, I could not relate more. Each character was so relatable and I wish I could meet them in person and be friends!
Downside to this book? The fact that it ended on a cliffhanger and I am expected to wait a WHOLE YEAR. Love this book and I cannot wait to read more in the series!

This authors style of writing is not only thorough, but really gets the reader’s mind into the frame it needs to be in to be engulfed by the nature of this adventure. I absolutely love how the author also included a glossary of terms at the beginning that one can return to if there is any confusion as to what the terms mean. This is by no means my normal cup of tea, however, I felt like the main character specifically was very vulnerable in the way he was portrayed and I absolutely loved that, especially given that it is a male character.
The titles of the chapters, the way that they are broken up into different segments and the descriptiveness are what really held my attention whilst reading this first installment of what will end up being a very different, wonderful, and eye-opening literary adventure. If you’re at all debating whether or not to read this, you can stop the debate and purchase it before the next comes out, so you aren’t huddled in your bed scurrying to devour this series. Well worth your money, time, and mental capacity. Looking forward to Ymir being released!

I am not the type to typically read a horror type story but in the spirit of Halloween and trying something different, I gave this story a try. This quick read was a great way of getting used to the detailing of the horrors of the living to becoming part of the nonliving. Also thrown into the mix the joys of dating in this living/nonliving type world. The anticipating feelings of loneliness, lack of trust, and boredom are things that many of us have experienced throughout our lifetime. What do you think you would do with those feelings in this kind of scenario? Glad I was able to connect to a story such as this and be able to connect to it. Of course, I have not lived in this type of world but with the author’s detailed verbal illustrations, one can only imagine. DeBlassie does a great job of feeling as though the reader can gain understanding of the main character’s situation. Great Halloween/Horror read for those genre lovers and not!

This is the first book in a brand-new series by an author I’ve come to love over the last few years. This mafia series is a spin off from previous series’ and brings back many favourite characters that I loved catching up with again. Set around the Larussio family, in this book we get the story of Salvatore who is running the family due to Great Uncle stepping back from duties as he gets on in age. Salvatore is dark, brooding, dangerous and hot as sin. He’s far to busy running the family, finding out who is leaking secrets. No way does he have the time, or inclination, for a relationship. Sexy Doctor Adrianna hates the Larussio family with a passion. So why is she working for them? What is she hiding? And why, oh why, does she find the dark brooding Salvatore so damn irresistible? I loved Salvatore and Adrianna’s story. As well as being hot as hell, there is so much drama, danger, intrigue and backstabbing that makes this book so unputdownable, if that’s a real word. I totally lost myself in this book and think it just might be my favourite by this author so far. I really can’t wait to read more in this series.

This is the first book in The Hidden Realms series and from this book it has the makings of a great series. This story is full of mystery and intrigue that keeps the reader gripped. I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. The author does an amazing job with the world and character building. I love the fantasy element and how Sin’s talent is seeing through the masks people wear. The addition of her trying to solve an art heist was just an additional element of Suspense. The main story for me was between Sin and Radzik. Theirs is definately a steamy romance and I loved how a strong confident man like Radzik can be made to feel not so confident in his world and literally has it rocked by Sin. I can’t wait to see where this story will lead us and I’m looking forward to the next book already.

One night he decides to take one of the oldest MBUs out on a maintenance run. Halfway back he notes an enemy on the horizon. Completely taken back by the sudden attack, he scrambles just to stay alive to get back to base. He’s never used the weapons systems, just maintained them. Thankfully, as a result of his quick thinking, he is able to put his knowledge to use and in doing so, ends up surviving and saving many others’ lives as well. Unfortunately, the other MBU jockeys did not fare well after the attack. As the base finds themselves short jockeys, Vandal is recruited to fast track to become a jockey. The attacks don’t slow down though, and the stakes become even higher. As it all escalates, can he find the balance between cranking wrenches and running an MBU? Can he survive until the next contract?
This is my first time reading this author. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail in the writing of the MBUs, the battles that took place, and the world building. I felt like I could see everything playing out in my mind. The characters were well written, and I loved how their relationships were portrayed as more of a family than just friends. The book was quick paced, and I didn’t want to put it down! Definitely, looking forward to reading the next installment.

I loved the idea of this story. It was just hard to follow along with at times. The story deals with a lot of politics in the life of these characters. There just seemed too much for me and I struggled to care about the characters. I am not sure what the problem was but I lost interest a lot and had to keep refocusing to get this finished. There are a lot of characters. The author did a good job bringing them in slowly and giving me time to know them before introducing another.
This definitely falls into the fantasy paranormal category with a light touch on romance. We become very involved in investigations of Sin (which was cool) and watching how she works is impressive. She is smart, inquisitive and has follow through. Rad is very impressive. We learn a little more about him as the story rolls along. He is mysterious.
I liked the idea but the story does not resonate with me too much which results in an okay story. It is propelled higher by the worlds and characters this author created.

This story is 503 pages long and follows Evelyn and Damian. They have a past together. Evelyn worked hard to move on. Damian did also. Until one day she comes back into his life. The problem is, he is with the mafia and if he is not careful, he could end up dead and so could she. Can they stay apart and live with that decision or can they come together and be safe at the same time?

What a sweet book. I love the story here, even though someone is different, they are still loved and are equal to everyone else. The mama warbler didn’t care that the cuckoo egg wasn’t hers, she was going to treat it as though it was. The art is beautiful as well.

When Cole and Ava were dating, she became pregnant, so they got married. Shortly afterwards, Ava lost the baby and their marriage has been in turmoil since then. Ava wants a divorce, but Cole wont grant her one until after she helps him with his organization fundraiser event. The book was good, flowed well and an easy read.
