This was a great read! I was hesitant at first given that it starts off with the doctor saving a girl from what seems to be an underground trafficking situation. However, the story takes off pretty quickly and doesn’t slow down. While there is plenty of spice happening there is also a deeper story to unravel. It may have been a short and quick read, but it was jam packed with intensity!

This is a new author to me and I’m so glad I decided to take a chance because this was a great read. The author wrote a captivating fantasy that took me on an adventure. This story has Romance, magic, danger, twists and turns and great selection of characters. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that you should definitely pick up this book and dive right in. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.

The author did an amazing job at creating the setting, the story line, and the characters in this novel! The setting is a small village set in the Morvak Mountain realm, a medieval village that is mostly made up of fighters. Ember stumbles upon it and one stolen item at the market turns her life around. She has been on the run for a long time trying to get to a place her mother always told her to go, but her new friend, safety, and comfort keep her from wanting to run again. Gavyn is one of the town protectors and catches her in the act of stealing. He is the head trainer for the fighters and is keeping an eye on Ember. The other characters are all such a big part of the story and I really enjoyed getting to know all of them! This slow burn romance story has many twists and turns, loyalty, revenge, and spies. It is a page turner that kept me on my toes and in love with all the characters!

The Curse of a Faeblood by MK Lorber. This is a great Fae Romance and I can’t wait to read the next. Its the story of Ember who is Faeblood Heritage which means she has magic abilities. All Ember’s life the magic has been more of a curse than a good thing. She just wants to be like everyone else and not the mean Faebloods that she is hiding from! They murdered her mother and she wants nothing to do with them. Therefore she can never tell anyone that she is a Fae. Her mom had told her to never reveal her secret and to never stay in one place for very long. When she meets Gavyn all that changes. He is an elite fighter who protects his sister with everything he has. When Gavyn’s sister befriends Ember he’s not happy because he doesn’t trust new people. They soon grow to like each other and fight together to protect those they love. This is a fast paced romantic adventure!

This book was amazing! I was reading it and completely engrossed by the world they live in and the people in Frog Lick and the way they interacted. Snapper and Gina’s relationship was so realistic in the way it grew, even with the interference from others. Snapper’s story in particular was heart-wrenching but explained so much about why he acted the way he did. Gina’s journey to learning about humanity was fun to follow even as she struggled to figure out the nuances of interacting with other people while keeping her secret.

4.5/5 This was my second time reading from this author and I was not disappointed! This series is a series of 5 standalone romances that will pull at your heart strings. Each book incorporates a different genre of romance from enemies to lovers, to holiday. I feel like I just got a huge serving of hallmark romance but in boo form, which tends to be my favorite genre to read from. It wasn’t confusing to go from book to book and I love the way this author writes. The writing is so engaging and well written. I can’t wait to keep exploring more from this author because I’m never disappointed!

This romance series is such a sweet read! These stories are all about love, forgiveness and feel good romance! There are many turns and surprises to keep you on your toes in each book. You don’t have to read them all in order but each book tells a story of a side character from the previous book! I absolutely loved being able to read about the other characters and where their stories took them. As you read through these sweet romances you get to know the rollercoaster of love. I loved all of the books but really enjoyed book 5! I’m a sucker for Christmas romance stories!

I loved this series! It was so cute! Not only was it an adorable romance, but it was edgy and kept me guessing. Anybody who loves a good short story would love these books! The books all take place in a small beach town in Florida following different characters and their love lives. If you like great plots, intriguing characters, and “happily ever after” endings, I would read this series of short stories.

I was introduced to this series through the audio books.
I listened to the first 3 and then I was waiting for the next books to be released in audio. But then I was so excited to see all 5 books in one, I just had to get it.
Here are some thoughts on the books
Book 1 K.G Fletcher’s writing has this way to transport you into the here and now of what the characters are experiencing. Em and Cappy are two characters that I couldn’t find one fault in. I absolutely adored their friends to lovers story especially because it’s a few years later and they still had this spark between them. It makes you believe that love does last.
Book2 Two broken hearts, ripped apart their loved ones. They come together and help each other cope with their loss….. with this heartwrenching romance, it gave me all the feels and I couldn’t stop listening. The storyline was amazing and these characters where even better then the first book in the series. Ps. the little twist mmmmm……
Book 3 It just goes to show you, the saying “never judge a book by its cover” is so true. In this case it’s a character. When K.G. Fletcher introduced us to Fiona in the first installment of the Reigning Hearts series, as Thomas Capshaw’s girlfriend, I absolutely hated her. BUT when I started listening to A Sun So Bright the depths of Fiona’s character was revealed and I fell in love with her. Chris on the other hand….. INSTA-LOVE This was again a superb book in the Reigning Hearts series and as the series develops so does K.G. Fletcher’s writing.
And then Book 4 & 5….. WOW they are the best yet in the series.

Exit Strategy is the fifth book in the Nite Fire series. If you haven’t read the others, you definitely should before you read this one! They’re fantastic, and you will enjoy Exit Strategy a lot more if you’ve gotten to know and love the characters over the course of the previous books. Dahlia Nite has been trained to focus on the immediate situation, and saving the people she can in the moment. But when the immediate situation is an apocalypse, she needs to work on the bigger picture and figure out how to save humanity. As well as protecting those around her the best she can. And dealing with the metamorphosis she is currently going through. So it would be an understatement to say she’s got a lot on her plate. At this stage in the apocalypse, pretty much everyone is well aware of the existence of a myriad of paranormal creatures. I really like the moments where Nite sees that people care a lot more about what she does than who she is. There’s a lot of great character stuff in amongst the action-packed fight scenes and intriguing detective work. This book gets five stars from me! I’ve loved this series – I’m sad that it’s come to an end, but looking forward to reading more by this excellent author!
Wow, wow, wow! What an exciting finale to an amazing series! This is an action packed, fast paced book that doesn’t let up until the end. Dahlia is a strong, no- nonsense character that has grown and evolved throughout this series. As strong as she is, she had her hands full in this book. Between dealing with the apocalypse, her inner dragon and her growing powers, I’m surprised that she didn’t go crazy. In a race against time, Dahlia seems to be fighting a losing battle. Although there are losses in this book, Dahlia gains many things as well. The author introduced some interesting characters which added some comedic relief amidst all the drama. This was such an interesting series that I’m sad to see it end. I highly recommend reading it!
Once again, another amazing book to this series, I could not put it down. Filled with action, carnage, explosions, ass-kicking, and all-around women empowerment. I absolutely love love the main character Dahlia Nite. I think if I could be a supernatural or paranormal character, I would so want to be Dahlia. Once again, another book that I just couldn’t put down, I wanted to know what was next. I’m really sad that the story is over, and this is the last book but I can always go back and read it again, which will be something on my list to do. Highly recommend this book if you love fast paced kick-ass action and a strong female role.
Flame & Crystal Thorns is the first book in the Fae and Crystal Thorns series by Kay L. Moody. This is an exciting spin off from her ‘Fae of Bitter Thorn’ series, as we follow Chloe, who is Elora’s (from FoBT series) sister. Chloe is a healer in the mortal world, and is happy to stay as far away as she can from the world of the fae. She loves her sister, but doesn’t feel as adventurous as her sister, and Chloe definitely prefers her simple life as an apothecary. But when she discovers that humans are threatening the fae realms by using iron to hold the magical kingdoms hostage, Chloe (somewhat reluctantly) sets off to try to help. And so the adventure begins. This is a fabulous YA fantasy adventure, with danger, humans/fae, magic, a journey of discovery/self-discovery, romance, action, trials, and more. It ends on a cliffhanger, which means waiting for the next book to pick up where we’ve left off. This book sets the series off to a great start and I am excited to continue the adventure in “Shadow & Crystal Thorns” (Book #2), to find out what happens next. Happy Reading!

First reading this book was interesting. Being the first book by this author was new to me. I’m glad I took a chance on it! Chloe is an apothecary for her little town, recently coming back from the Faerie world she’s ready to be done with it and contempt to say in the human world. Then out of no where a Fae shows up on her doorstep and she much to her dismay has to go back to help this sickness from spreading into the human world. The writing was done beautifully, and I felt like that the book just drew me in. Seeing as this was a spin off, I didn’t realize what it was. You don’t need to read the other series to read this one. Will Chloe let love back into her heart? Will she be able to save her sister? Read to find out! Fair warning it does end in a cliffhanger and a excellent one that begs you wanting for more!

Here is another fast paced, suspenseful, emotional rollercoaster. I didn’t think this author could break me down again. I thought she had done her worst. I was wrong! This is a continuation of Heart’s story. While out on his own for 6 months, all he wants is to be with Crystal. He is so angry and the cops are doing nothing to find her murderer. But there is Marc, a detective who is getting no help from the dirty cops she is stuck working with. Something is rotten, and she is getting the dirty end of it all. There will be no spoilers here! You have to read it for yourself. This author has continued to write stories for the Satan’s Devils MC and the strength the characters must endeavor. I was captured before the first chapter ended. Had even cried before chapter 2 began. I recommend you start this series at Book 1. Meet the characters and their places in this story. This is an audible book and the narrators are fantastic. Listening to this story makes it so much more intense. I Love This Series and the Author who wrote it.

Chloe, a human, is content with her life. She has a nice little life with quite a few customers as an apothecary. At least she thinks she is content with her life, then a lot of the townsfolk started getting sick with an illness Chloe thought was a Fae only illness. Turns out the sickness is seeping into the human realm.
A fae, whom was once Chloe’s lover, shows up out of the blue asking for Chloe’s help to save all of the Fae from humans who have been using iron against them and taken over the castle.
Chloe is stretched thin as it is, focusing on healing pretty much the whole town, now she needs to save another species as well? Chloe’s sister is Fae so she doesn’t know where to go. She never wanted to return to Faerie, now it seems she doesn’t have a choice.
I could not put this book down as soon as I started reading it. Filled to the brim with action from the very start. I loved Chloe’s sass and determination. There was also a big character growth as Chloe realizes she can’t save everyone. The author was able to tap into all of those emotions making it easy to relate to Chloe as a fellow woman.
Finishing on a cliffhanger, I cannot wait until the next book is out!!

This is my first book I have read from this author and so happy that I did. This book is full of magic, fantasy, danger and intrigue. This story you meet Chloe, who is mortal and town apothecary. I love her strong sense of helping others and is content and happy with where she is. Things change when someone from her past calls on her to help. At first Chloe does not want to return for Faerie but learns she really does not have much of a choice….she much save her sister and others. Mortal beings are stronger than ever in Faerie…and not in a good way. This epic journey of Chloe and Quintus really immerses you on an adventure with some twists and turns. Great story, and the ending!! I cannot wait to continue this this series.

She is confused when a new sickness strikes her home town and many end up feverish and dying within hours, and the sickness seems to be one of Faerie. Only then does a Fae from her past, Quintus, arrive, needing her to go back to the place she swore to never return. It is only when she finds out that a group of mortals armed with iron have taken the castle and all the Fae inside hostage, including Chloe’s sister Elora, that she agrees to accompany him. Will Chloe and Quintus be able to save all of Faerie or will old memories and feelings get in their way? This book took me on a wonderful adventure! It was so emotionally gripping I was invested in the fate of every single character both human and Fae! I honestly felt so immersed in Moody’s universe. This is actually the first book by this author that I’ve read. I loved everything about it! I will be going back to read the rest right away. I lost sleep because of this book and I regret nothing. I really enjoyed this fantasy adventure. The author does an amazing job of creating the worlds our characters are in. I love the connection between Chloe and Quintus. There’s is a hate/love relationship but you can feel the attraction between them jump right off the page.
Chloe is a human girl. She works in the mortal world healing the sick. She never wants to return back to Faerie. But then a blast from her past returns insisting she needs to return to Faerie to help save everyone there. Chloe is still adamant she isn’t going to go until people are getting sick in her world and dying. Chloe realises that what is happening in Faerie is effecting people in her world and to save them she needs to save the people of Faerie.
So we are now on an adventure filled with danger and excitement. Every turn has a twist and as time goes on, will her feelings and connection with Quintus become too strong for her to ignore? Is she even able to save the world of Faerie? And what will the consequences be if she does fail, not only for the people of Faerie but for her people in the mortal world?

This book was really well written. I loved the characters and the sparks between Kendall and Pete were off the charts! I couldn’t put the book down. I was pulling out my Kindle to squeeze in a few sentences whenever I could. I definitely recommend this book!!

I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. I enjoyed the author’s writing skills that made the story come to life. I also enjoyed how this author used details to make the story pop. This is a well written story that is full of action and you don’t want to miss it. The characters are strong, connectable and supportive toward each other. This is a fast paced story that is easy to read and hard to put down. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start. The growth of the plot made the story entertaining and had me coming back for more. This is a story where facing your enemy face to face is either going to take them down or it could be death for these characters. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. This filled my afternoon with a paranormal adventure. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens.

Angel/vampire hybrids, hot brothers for your mate and demons? Yes please! This book had me hooked from the beginning. I really enjoyed the different take on vampires. Toya made the main characters very loveable yet complex. In my opinion it was an enjoyable and easy read. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This book was amazing! Sexy angel/vampire hybrids? Two fated mates?? Oh and demons?? How could you want anything more? I’d never read anything from Toya Richardson before but let me just say I’m hooked! Right from the start, this book draws you in. It’s hot and sexy and romantic. I loved these characters and I must commend Ms. Richardson for her creativity. I’d never heard of angel/vampire hybrids before. Well done! Everyone should check out this book.
Angelina is a human living a normal life…if you don’t count the H-O-T dreams she is having about two guys at night. Her life is turned upside down when she finds herself in danger…and those two same guys show up to save her. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that she is the mate of both of these vampire/angel hybrids. Salvatore and Luca will become even stronger when they bond with Angelina…which is why there are forces out to stop it from happening. And if it doesn’t happen…then the world as they know it will cease to exist. When Angelina is forced to make the decision that will determine the course of the world…what will she do?!? This was such a good book. It is a twist on the normal fated mates book by adding a second mate and all the different characters determined to keep it from happening. I was entertained the whole way through…and am excited to see what happens next!
