Fantastic story! This is my first book that I read from Author A.K. MacBride and I love this slow burn of a romance. The is the story of Maddie and Adam that is truly an emotional roller coaster. I believe they both do not feel like they deserve love. Maddie is a dancer, but ends up working for her parents hardware store and they are not in full support of Maddie as a dancer. When Maddie is left a beachfront cottage by her grandmother, this is where she meets Adam. He is rude, grumpy, yes full of pain, but when you find out Adam’s story, you have all these feels why. You really root for these two characters and their story. Highly recommended if you love a contemporary romance with a small town feel. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Scarlet Princess (Lochlann Feuds Book 1) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison is just purely and simply amazing. I loved this book from the very first sentence to the very last word. Rowan is a second generation Lochlann and this book takes place about 20 years after Robin D. Mahle’s and Elle Madison’s book Lochlann Treaty. While you could read the first book it is not a necessity as Ms. Mahle and Ms. Madison gives us a great plot, a fiery, feisty, and full of attitude princess, as well as other fantastic characters. While this is my first reading by these two I am quickly learning that they love to leave their readers with a cliffhanger, and this reader for one can’t wait to see what happens next.

I am a HUGE fan of small town, enemies to lovers, contemporary romance reads!! Slow Burn has got to be by far one of my FAVORITE reads of the year!! This is book two in it’s series, so upset with myself for reading out of sync, so I most certainly will be reading all books in series. I literally could NOT set this story aside when I started reading! I just had to read it ALL, as I really really loved this author’s style! Eager to read more of her work as well!

Having never read a Karina Cardinal mystery or any other book by Ellen Butler, Swindler’s Revenge was a fantastic book. As a civilian, Karina really shouldn’t involve herself in dangerous things. Having been involved in multiple cases which involved getting out of trouble with or without the help of friends, Karina is the to jump in headfirst.
On a perfectly peaceful Saturday, Karina’s lazy morning is interrupted by a knock on the door and the FBI and IRS invading her personal space. It seems her once boyfriend, FBI agent Michael Finnegan is wanted for suspicion of taking a bribe. A $1.2 million bribe? Karina isn’t buying it and soon finds herself under the surveillance of the FBI.
Shortly after, Karina’s commute is interrupted by a cell phone ringing that isn’t hers. She finds the suspicious phone in her pocket and immediately knows that it is Mike. With Mike’s confirmation, Karina knows that Mike is being framed by someone only he doesn’t know who. He wants her help.

Brilliant series and author I’m loving this series. It has everything I enjoy in a paranormal romance adventure. Even though it had been a little while between books, I was instantly transported back to Vanessa and her world of Gods. There is just so much to love about the story: the characters, the world building and the pacing are just spot on. Hazel Storm you are truly a masterclass author. This is a series not to be missed and really must be read in order. Can’t wait for The Box.

Potager plot was an easy read, witty, attention grabbing book! I enjoyed the story very much and found it very entertaining! I enjoy these books so much because it makes you think of your own sleuthing capabilities! The ending didn’t disappoint either! This book drew me right in from the very first page. The authors paint such a vivid picture every step of the way that it felt as if I were a part of the world that they created. I lost an entire day without even realizing it because I kept wanting to read just one more page to find out what would happen next. I honestly cannot remember the last time that I was so engrossed in a book that I finished it all in one day. As a mom of five children, sleep is usually priceless, but this time I did not regret getting less sleep one bit! This is not your typical vampire fluff novel, there’s romance, action, mystery and a twist that was a pleasant surprise. The heroine Danielle is not as soft and meek as she might appear at first glance, nor is Vulture all that he appears to be on the surface. If you’re a fan of supernatural and vampire romances this is a must read. I really enjoyed how multi-dimensional each of the characters were and the set up for the next book in the series was integrated seamlessly. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series, and I am off to discover more books by this amazing author.

Wow!!! This book started with a bang and kept on going. So many unexpected events going on. Vanessa is on a mission for Grey’s mother, the queen of the Underworld and finds herself back in the Overworld. She is back with her love Raef while the clock is ticking for her return to the Underworld. She has 24 hours to complete her mission. Aroz and Raef work together to help her. She has been threatened with everlasting death even though she is already dead. An accident during the mission has Aroz saving Vanessa to the Upperworld to his hidden palace. What happens in the palace is beyond imaginable. I am so excited to read book 4. What an extraordinary read. Bravo to the author Hazel Storm. The books just keep getting better and better.

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. The storytelling was vivid and colourful both physically and emotionally. Reader’s follow fiery Princess Rowan on her unintentional and unwelcome journey through an unfriendly neighbouring kingdom. I loved how she stayed true to her character throughout her challenges, even while falling in love. The ending took me COMPLETELY by surprise, and I cannot wait to read the next book.

Fight for It by Amy L Gale was just an amazing and flawless story. Ms. Gale gives us an amazing plot, with great character development, lots of ups and downs, plenty of romance and chemistry. Throw in a girl that your in love with but you can’t pursue due to her being your best friends sister and this fast paced sports novel will have you on the edge of your seat. There is no doubting that there is chemistry between Ray and Alyssa, one would allow say that they are soul mates. But with all the challenges they have to face will they be together? Will the fight be worth it in the end? And will love really conquer all? You’ll have to read Fight for It by Amy L Gale to find out for yourself.

Linda Burson’s Marcy Series starts off wonderfully with these three books. The intriguing story of a woman who loves two men at the same time seems totally absurd. How Marcy handles this among the other revelations in her life is somewhat amazing! These books are truly books that you need to have on your TBR list.
Marcy is the owner of the Coffee, Tea, and Treats bakery in Cold Spring Harbor. In Rage, readers learn of Marcy’s rage that she has used several times to get her out of jams. Unfortunately, it also makes things difficult for her longtime boyfriend, Brad. She eventually starts seeing a psychiatrist who helps her find the cause of her rage. In the meantime, Brad has big plans which lead to an engagement. Only this engagement last only a few days. After Brad breaks up with her, Marcy turns to her friend Liam for a trip out of town which leads to her falling in love with a second guy.
In book 2, Confusion, Marcy decides that she can’t handle relationships with both men. Unfortunately, the situation is not so easily managed, and she soon realizes that one of her men has been leading her with his behavior and his actions. She realizes love often means being able to give up what you most desire to have that person be happy.
In book 3, Agony and Ecstasy, Marcy’s life turns upside down once again as the best-laid plans in life aren’t always what happens. Where does Marcy find love and happiness in her life? And at what cost does this actually happen?

I love a book that is romance plus the sport of fighting like boxing. This is my first book I read by Author Amy L Gale and I absolutely loved it! When Ray Wilson, whom was a professional boxer, returns to Sunset Cove to re-open The Kraken Bar & Grill. The real estate agent that he meets to sign all the paperwork is no other then Alyssa, whom he had known since high school. Growing up Alyssa’s brother was Ray’s best friend. After divorcing her abusive husband, Alyssa really tries to build her own business. When Alyssa meets with Ray to sign the paperwork for the bar he bought, spark also fly between Ray and Alyssa. The two really hit it off, until a opportunity for one last fight that Ray is a part of could ruin his left eyesight permanently, and someone is behind the set up of this fight. I just loved this story and I try not to give any spoilers away. This is a quick read but did NOT disappoint!

Jake the Growling Dog Shares his Trail is the third book in the Jake The Growling Dog Series. Jake loves taking walks down his favorite trail but one day while out for a walk with his friend Neet, they stumble onto something different that scares them. Jake and his friend Neet are worried about the discovery and find it hard to sleep. Jake’s friends Bodhi and Luna come over to play and decide to help their friend, so he does not have to worry alone. The friends set out for an adventure together to figure out what this strange discovery was that Jake discovered on his favorite trail.
Jake The Growling Dog shares his trail is a beautifully written story and the author does an amazing job teaching her readers valuable life lessons. Samantha Shannon describes through her characters the power of friendship and how we are never truly alone if we have friends by our side. Through Jake and his friends, she says that being different is okay and that everyone gets scared sometimes but that is okay too. Samantha Shannon gives some great tips and resources at the end of the book for both parents and children. I highly recommend this book for young and old alike.

This is the first book that I have read written by Robin and Elle and I think that I have found a new favorite series! The characters are amazing. I found myself getting lost in Rowan’s character. I laughed and found myself cheering her on in this wonderful adventure that took place in front of my eyes and in my imagination. I found myself absolutely awed and did not want this book to end. And the cliffhanger! All I can say is bravo!! I cannot wait to read more!

Raven Woman’s Tavern is set in the near future in an abandoned mining town that is occupied by a small group of survivalists eking out a meagre existence. Many, but not all, of the community’s citizens are law abiding folks so when a small group of militia members converge upon the town it sets some of the community members on edge.
The story is centered on Raven Woman, a shapeshifter, and her tavern. When the militia members enter Raven’s tavern it sets off a chain of events that forever changes the life of one of its members, Baylor. After a night of heavy drinking and obnoxious behaviour the militia leave the tavern and head for home. The four members end up lost which baffles them because they have travelled that very same stretch of road on numerous occasions in the past. Somehow though, the road looks different, and time seems to be standing still. The four young militia are left to battle with each other as well as the harsh elements. Baylor is banished from the group, and he must venture through the woods and try to survive on his own. As he wanders through the forest, Baylor spots a raven in nearby treetop and swears that it is talking to him and leading the way for him. He quickly brushes this off as from fatigue and malnourishment and plods on, hoping that he can find shelter before he is too weak to continue.
Raven Woman’s Tavern is the first book that I have read by Laura Koerber, but it will not be the last. The author did a marvelous job of describing the characters, their lives, and the world they were struggling to survive in. The book gave a glimpse into how lives would be if we were suddenly stripped of all the modern conveniences, we have grown accustomed to having and often take for granted. This is something that I have though of often and found myself wanting a simpler life. Learning to fend for myself and be more self sustainable started with growing and canning my own food. These are skills that seem to have become lost through the years and I am hoping to pass these skills onto the next generation. Kudos to Laura Koerber, I look forward to reading more of your books!

I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down it was so good and I’m a little miffed that I have to wait for the next one as there was a cliffhanger ending!! Princess Rowan of Lochlann is the type of girl I could be friends with. She’s quirky, outspoken, desire driven and has a heart that is surprisingly bigger than her mouth. She’s also really good at landing herself in trouble which is where we start off in this story. She is captured by her family’s enemies, the Elk Clan of the Socarian people. These two regions have had conflict since before Rowan was born, so she finds herself at odds between how she feels and how she should feel as Lord Theodore, the heir to Elk Clan escorts her to her freedom or her demise. I definitely cannot wait for the next book and will have that preorder button set for sure!

The setting is 10 years in the future in and around a little town called Warrentown in Washington… It’s not hard to believe the dystopian world Laura Koerber has built as many of the issues mentioned have been current events for so long. Generally, I do not struggle to read from multiple point of views, but I did struggle to know what was going on during this read. It may have been too often of a transition because the author did a fabulous job of getting into the mood of multiple head spaces. I could definitely hear the differences between transitions; maybe it was just too frequent for me to keep a steady track of what was happening. Warrentown is aptly described as a small, isolated town that made me recall my own history in a town similar. All in all, the imagery of this story is great and the characters of this book have potential, I’m just not entirely sure what the plot of this book was. I did like reading about Charlie and Val and enjoyed the character progression of Baylor.

GREAT start to a trilogy I look forward to devouring. I was hooked from the start, when we meet our rebel princess being captured in enemy lands after an attempt to smuggle contraband alcohol. She is a sassy, brave, and intelligent girl of 17, who is entangled in the Socairan justice system, which is much more heavy-handed than her own. She attempts to pretend to be as demure as the women of Socair, but can she hold her tongue long enough to be set free? This was a great journey, loved watching Rowan cause the men to blush and being anything but the well-trained lady. Loved the characters, including the friend she makes from another Socair clan, and the villain who angles for her death. Very well-written, great heroine, and fun plot. I’m going to have to go back and read the other books from the Lochlann Treaty!

Notebook Mysteries is the second book in the Decisions and Possibilities series. It centers around 18 year old Emma Evans. It is technically in the Young Adults genre of reading, but anyone would enjoy this book. While this book does stand alone, it references what happened in the first book several times, so it would be best to read the books in order. I really enjoy historical fiction, and I enjoyed the mystery in this book as well. Emma is observant and sweet while still being direct. It’s the perfect read if you like mysteries and/or historical fiction!

This book is phenomenal! One of the first times in a long time I haven’t been able to sleep until I finished reading it! I was constantly on my toes waiting to see what would happen next! The romance in the book is developed very well! I for one cannot wait for the second book in this series!

What better way to describe this compelling novel than Slow Burn! I enjoyed reading this novel- ranging from Adam’s struggle with seeing past his scars (not only physically but internally) to Maddie trying to get her parents to come to terms with her career in dancing. When their worlds collide, sparks fly, and they embark on a journey of romance, love, and hope. This novel proves that sometimes we need to look past the surface of one’s façade to find the person truly worth loving.

This enemies to lovers romance had me hooked from start to finish. I loved the main characters, grumpy Adam and bubbly Maddie and enjoyed seeing how their relationship changed and developed throughout the story. Maddie is instantly attracted to her new neighbour Adam after all he’s tall, muscular and has tats, but then he opens his mouth and she discovers that he is also rude and obnoxious. However, despite Adams poor first impression Maddie believes that there is more to him and that he’s hiding a past pain. The storyline flowed well and the descriptive narrative bought both the setting and the characters to life making this an engaging read. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this as the story had both sad moments, tragic moments and then laugh out loud moments along with plenty of romance. I found myself still thinking about Adam and Maddie long after I had put the book down, which for me is always a sign of a good read.

As a fan of the ‘Karina Cardinal Mysteries’ series I was looking forward to catching up with the heroine, who feels like an old friend, Karina Cardinal and as usual I was not disappointed. Book five in the series and each one really does get better. Having split up with Mike a few months ago Karina is surprised when the FBI start banging on her door hunting for a fugitive by the name of Mike Finnegan! Despite the damning evidence they claim to have Karina just can’t see Mike taking a 1.2 million bribe and so when a burner phone appears in her pocket, she’s not surprised to hear Mikes voice on the other end. Mike needs Karina’s help to find out who’s framing him and why, as he is deep under cover. Unfortunately this puts Karina in danger especially when an old enemy turns up, but as usual Karina ignores the dangers in order to solve the mystery and prove Mike’s innocence. A fast paced exciting storyline with plenty of plot twists, this story had me gripped from page one. Karina is a great strong female main character who really brings the stories together. I was up late reading this book as I just couldn’t put it down, a must read novel and I also recommend the series.

Fight For It (Sunset Cove) by Amy L. Gale is a great book with some truly likeable characters. From the minute I started reading this book I felt connected to Alyssa and Ray. You could imagine each of their struggles and felt like you were ok their journey with them. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed watching the character development that she brought out. The book was easy to read and enjoyable from the first page to the last. This is a great book and I can’t wait to discover more of this authors work.

The Bow: A Fated Mates Greek Myth Paranormal Romance by Hazel Storm is the third book in the Her Three Immortals series. Personally I would definitely read this series in order as it is a continuation of the story from the previous books. I am really enjoying this whole series. It is so exciting to read and just keeps getting better with each book. I always find myself highly entertained by each book and I can never wait to start the next one. It is the same with this book too. I couldn’t put it down once I had started. I had convinced myself this series was a trilogy and was so pleased to find out that there will be at least another book in the series. This is a fantastic instalment to the series and I am already itching to read book 4.

This is the third book in this series which I have enjoyed since the first book I picked up. This series keeps getting better and better for sure. This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. I enjoyed being pulled into her story but the characters and the journey they take me on. This book is no different. I was pulled into this story from the beginning and was kept engaged to the end. I also enjoy how the characters are connectable and make the story easy to read. The author’s use of details gave the story life on each page. In this installment now that she has the heart of the God of the Underworld she has another problem, his mother. What happens next, you need to read this book and find out. I had a hard time putting this book down as I wanted to know what happened next to this main character. I enjoyed the growth of this plot throughout the story. I highly recommend this book.
