This is the third book in this series and brings all the characters together. This is a nicely written MM story filled with magic, mayhem and a lot of one on one (if you get my drift) between the two main characters. I didn’t love this a I struggled to really *feel for the characters. Luckily I have read a previous story in this series so I had that to get a feel for them. The story is good. It mixes action, suspense and all those smexy times.
We do get to see all the characters from oast books. See where they are now and who they are with. I think my fav secondary characters is Taz. I don’t car much for witches but her attitude overrides that and makes her an enjoyable character. Silva would be my second. He has some good humor.

This novel was amazing beyond words. Instantly I was drawn into a journey like no other, it became very easy to get sucked in and truly feel you are among the characters you meet through out the book.
What I loved truly about this book is the characters and how they grow and as well as how they start out. Each character seemed to come from a different part of life. And each person was different in their own special ways. I found their were qualities in everyone that was admirable. And the words and how the author describes them from personality, to strengths, to how they rely on one another in more ways than one, etc.
I have always been a fantasy and a sci-fi lover of novels and especially novels that make me question the ways of science to what I think I know, I’m always a person up for debate and to broaden my horizons of my mind. I’m a science nerd for life. This book gave me that “fix” I love so much.
This novel was truly unlike any other that I have truly ever experienced. The worlds the characters visited and uncovered together, was not only described in a way I never believed an author had the power to, but it truly made me feel I was right beside everyone and I was living through the moments with them all experiencing the fun, the back stabbing they had felt at times, the whole we have no idea how to do this sort of thing, the questioning they all faced, the mystery of well basically everything, etc.
There is no single word how amazing this book was and is. It was so easily to get lost in and it made my weekend greatly pass by. I was so intrigued by this book from when I first started reading and all the way till I had finished it, it left me with a strong desire fore more.
All in all, this was truly a very enjoyable read. I would defiantly love to revisit the worlds I did this past weekend and get ready for yet another adventure.

This is the first book I have read by C.A. King. Grave Digger Academy was an entertaining, fun and a very Harry Potterish kind of story.
Makayla was the youngest of seven and the pressure to go to the most prestigious school has always been a burden. She puts in a bunch of applications but ends up with the dreaded Grave Digger Academy. It can’t be all that bad right?! On the first day of school all her siblings get new wands and she ends up with her mother giving Makayla what she things is a useless ugly necklace but finds out maybe its not as useless as one may thing. What kind of family secrets will unfold? She ends up trying to make a potion for one of her classes that would be considered dark magic which is prohibited but her professor has other plans for her.

I’m so happy this book is a series. It was so original and not what I was expecting. I loved it! I’ve read quite a few of this author’s books and have never been disappointed. I found this book to be different from her others but just as good. Makayla is a witch and is starting her first year in the paranormal academy system. She gets the option of choosing three schools which she would like to attend but in the end, the school chooses you. It’s quite interesting the way it happens. She ends up at the academy where no one wants to go. A grave digger’s main purpose is to keep the dead, well, dead. There is more going on beneath the surface (pun intended). Makayla has a lot to learn and secrets to uncover.
This book is a wonderful fantasy filled with twists and turns. Makayla is headstrong and doesn’t want to accept fate, she wants to forge her own path. This should lead to some interesting scenarios with the rest of the series. I’m looking forward to it.

Grave Digger Academy is the first book in the Grave Digger Academy series by C.A. King. It never ceases to amaze me, how Ms. King can come up with these amazing stories. This one is my new favorite. Makayla’s story had me reading into the night. I just couldn’t put it down until I finished. Another thing I love about Ms. King’s books is they tend to be shorter installments that you can read in one sitting, but still pack a punch of a longer book. A dark fantasy tale, The Myder Bird Tattoo by Julia Colbourn is an interesting original tale. This is the first time I have had the pleasure of reading any works from Julia and I must say I enjoyed it. With its intriguing plot, lies and deceit and betrayal the pages keep turning. Sometimes the truth is right in front of us. But only those strong enough or with a sense of right or wrong bother to do anything about it. If you look closely, you will learn things you have never known.
As someone who predominantly reads psychological thrillers, this was pretty out of my wheelhouse. I’m very glad I gave it a chance! The author described and constructed the worlds beautifully. The stories were action packed and gripping, and the characters were well thought out. Even if Sci-Fi isn’t your go to genre, I’d recommend reading this!

The Grave Digger Academy is a super fun and light read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It is short at under 200 pages, but captivated me from start to finish. I was super happy to discover that it is the first of a series! I look forward to reading the rest of the novels. Harry Potter fans such as myself will enjoy getting lost in this magical academia world as well.

This book was pretty interesting to me. I knew it was supposed to be a humorous/satirical read, but it is a different type of humor than what I was expecting. It was a fast-paced story, quickly jumping from one point to the next, which I found made it a little bit difficult to get into. The writing was very matter-of-fact, which makes for a good almost documentary-style story, but not as great for connecting to characters. If you like this type of humor, this will make a good book for you, but it wasn’t necessarily my favorite. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad book by any means, just not really up my alley.

Unfortunately, finding a way out of Grave Digger Academy is more important to her than completing its curriculum. Gravediggers are the ones who do the digging. Grave Diggers, on the other hand, preserve buried remains six feet underground. This year’s pupils are going to discover that corpses may be fickle and that when the dead refuse to cooperate, they will pay the price.
I loved this story and the concept of it as well.I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is the first book in the series can’t wait to read more.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind with her writing. I love a good paranormal story but she exceeded my expectations all the time. This is the first book in a young adult series called the Grave Digger Academy. I can see this series turning into an amazing movie. I couldn’t put this book down until I was finished. I can’t wait to see what happens to these amazing characters.
This is the first year that Makayla is going to the paranormal school. She doesn’t know what to expect and she is really nervous. Makayla is denied by all the schools she wanted to go to except one the Grave Digger Academy. She downstairs wants to go but she has no other choice but to go. Makayla is shocked at what this academy is actually about. She will be responsible to make sure the dead stay that way. Makayla thought this was going to be an easy year but quickly she learned it is harder than she thought. She never realized that the dead could make things even more harder for her by not listening. Will Makayla get through her first year in this scary school or will it become too dangerous for her?

C.A. King did not disappoint, which she never does! I loved reading about Makayla’s first year away in the paranormal academy system. All she wants is to get out of Grave Digger Academy and that seems harder than she anticipated for sure! First she will have to learn why she was sent there. I really enjoyed this read. It was very Adventurous and the characters were a lot of fun to get to know. The one thing that really stood out to me was how it kept reiterating that your choice matters, regardless of everything else what you want matters as well. Even if she wasn’t able to get into the Academy she wanted. This is a thrilling book with a great message, it may be YA but I think it sets its self apart from most others. C. A. king did an amazing job!

Sex on Fire: A Quickie Read (Naughty Neighbor Book 1) by Ashley Bostock
This book was an incredibly quick read but that didn’t keep it from having the hot moments you would expect from a book title Sex on Fire.
I’m sure everyone has had the hot neighbor, either next door in in the neighborhood. We had one not too long ago right next door and boy did I enjoy the times he would workout in his garage and driveway, sorry got side tracked. Turner was that neighbor for Poppy.
This booked packed a lot of punch into its pages and look forward to reading more in this series.

Georgia Clay was such a beautiful love story! I was hooked from the first meeting between Clay and Katie. I loved how sweet their story was and how it didn’t have the usual turbulence of the genre. When Katie got on the Harley and saw the vanity plate, my heart just about burst! Talk about a beautiful, karmic moment. I absolutely loved the lightness of the story and how endearing it was. It was the perfect summer read that hit all the right heartstrings.

I love a great fantasy YA book and this book definitely did NOT disappoint! Makayla wanted to go to a paranormal academy, but unfortunately was not accepted in her first few choices and ended up going to the Grave Digger Academy. You find out that you just do not dig the graves but you need to keep the dead buried. The dead can be “uncooperative” when it comes to staying 6 feet under. I really enjoyed the fantasy mixed with magic and witches in this book. There are some twists, turns and secrets so the book continues to intrigue and is truly hard to put down. I am so looking forward to reading more of this series.

Of Magic and Scales is an amazing story with magical beings. The characters are brought to life by author Natalina Reis. I found myself carried on by the story and cheering Aiden and Naël along in their quest to prove Naël’s innocence.

Makayla is so excited for paranormal academy. She knows where she’d LIKE to go and where she definitely DOESN’T want to go. The real stress comes from not know WHERE you’re going until they drop you off on your first day. So incredibly stressful! This is such an addictive storyline. I fell into the story almost immediately and I am excited for the next book! The characters are very interesting and the school is full of mystery. This is a must for a great YA series!

If you like Paranormal/Romance this book is for you. This was a very good, easy read. The story starts in 1974 when Cassie is trying to get away from her brother. She summons help to get away and is missing 45 years. When she reappears, she comes across a house where she meets Nick Felson. Even though at first he was tough, unsure and wants nothing to do with is magic, he falls for Cassie. I love how they were meant to be together. There were a few twists, turns, secrets along the way that unfolds and brought together a very good book. Looking forward to continuing the series!

Tangled Roots by Denise D. Young is a great first installment to what I believe is going to be a magical roller coaster witchy series. Personally this is my first read by Ms. Young but boy oh boy was I not disappointed. Ms. young not only provides us with a fantastic story, but she also gives us very detailed character descriptions, and a wonderful budding relationship between the main characters. This book was so wonderfully written that it kept me flipping the pages faster then I could blink to see what happens next. So if your looking for a great new paranormal series I highly recommend Tangled Roots.

This book made you feel like you were back in high school with all the teen spirit and teen relationship problems. Book 2 is such a great story. I really enjoyed this novel and felt that the characters were more developed and the story had more flow than book 1. The cliffhanger in Remember My Name is wrapped up neatly in Book 2. Laurencia Hoffman knows how to keep the reader intrigued and rooting for the protagonist throughout the story. I will be looking forward to reading more of her stories in the future!

What a truly amazing paranormal read by the phenomenal C.A. King! I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning until end. I loved the idea behind this storyline and was captivated right from the start. I loved all of the detail, the characters, and the mystery.
This is one of those books that I wish were longer, I could have continued reading this story for so long as I loved everything about it.
I can’t wait to continue this series with book 2 and would recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

I enjoyed Remember My Name. The characters are likeable, but are not very well developed. The reader is left with a lot of questions about who he is. The relationship between Shane and Callen was realistic and I was rooting for them to figure it out before another heartbreak. I love cliffhangers and this novel is set up perfectly to lead into book 2 in the series. Great writing!

Mr Nice Guy By Belinda Williams was such a great read! so much fun and gorgeous characters with lots of heart. It was the very first book I have ever read that is actually set in the area that I live and that was so much fun! Harrys is the stuff of legends! If you are a local you know what I mean, If not Read the book! lol
Chelsea is a beautiful young woman, who is ALWAYS dating the wrong guy! She shares an apartment with her older brothers best mate Tom, a good looking paramedic who is so over hearing about her dating misadventures. When her friend Nadia suggests she needs a nice guy and that Tom is in fact a nice guy both Chelsea and Tom think she is nuts at first! This does give Tom an idea though and he decides Chelsea needs to learn what dating a nice guy truly means. He offers to date her for a week to show her how she truly should be treated. During this week attraction grows and the true story becomes could this pretend relationship actually become a real meaningful one? or will past hurts get in the way?
I know I have said this before but this book truly was such a fun read with characters full of heart that you so easily connect with. Do yourself a huge favour and read this book now!!!! I now need more Belinda Williams books! Ms Williams you have a new fan.

I just love paranormal romances and this book hit the spot. I like how the author spins the story. The supernatural element to this book really adds to drama. The characters really come to life and entice the reader in.
Cassie and Nick have such a powerful chemistry in this book. Their journey of discovery and getting together is just empowering. Along the way they have an evil to overcome and a past as well. I really was hooked on this book and couldn’t put it down. I look forward to reading more from the author in future.

A very enjoyable and engaging book of original short stories based on the theme that “life never turns out like you expected”. Each story is a very quick read but is also a complete story and Suen makes the reader feel fully immersed in each storyline. For such short stories the characters are really bought to life by the wonderful writing and I felt as though I had been on an emotional rollercoaster by the end of the book. The first story ‘Grits Girl’ looks at how love blossomed over breakfast leading to a surprise question during a couples weekly ritual. ‘The Accident’ follows a couple as their life is changed dramatically following an accident. ‘The End of Summer’ takes us on a heartfelt journey along with a father and son and the stranger that takes a detour with them. The bonus story, ‘Pick Me’ definitely left me with a smile on my face. Each story had twists and turns that made the stories unpredictable. These short stories have left me wanting to read more by the author Jane Suen.

Tangled Roots (Witches of Willow Creek: Tangled Magic Series Book 1) by Denise D. Young has captured my fancy and is not letting go. Anyone who is a fan of time travel stories (like Outlander) and witchy fiction (such as Practical Magic) will fall in love with this story, which is set in the small town of Willow Creek, Virginia. Cassie Gearhart is a fantastic female protagonist and an easy character to relate to, even if she is a witch who has been asleep for 45 years. And then there’s Nick; the grandson of Cassie’s former High Priestess, and the only witch left alive to represent the coven. The author is an artist the way she weaves 1974 and 2019 together via Cassie. The imagery and details are rich and poignant, and Tangled Fates, book number 2, is next on my to-be-read list. I highly recommend this book and author with 5 stars!

This was a great first book in the Tangled Magic series. I love how the author combines paranormal and romance and how the author creates characters that are believable.
Cassie is a witch. After escaping her family she becomes part of a Coven at Willow Creek. When her brother comes to get her and bring her home she casts a spell for help so her brother can’t find her. That was in 1974.
Fast forward to 2019 and Cassie finds herself awake back in Willow Creek and nothing is how she remembers it. Cassie meets Nick. Nick turns out to be the grandson of her former priestess of her Coven. Nick is reluctant to have anything to do with magic but as much as they try something magical is drawing them together.
Why are they drawn to each other? What happened to Cassie’s Coven? What magical force is working to push them together and what dark force is working to destroy them all.
