The World Beyond the Walls: epic dystopian eco-fantasy (Natural Forces Book 3) by Jean Gill is unfortunately the last book in the trilogy. This YA adventure story has everything that paranormal fantasy enthusiasts will love, magic and shifters, drama and action and danger. Jean’s world-building and unusual, complex and quirky characters make it an interesting and enjoyable read. This intricate and finely woven tale will have you engaged from beginning to end. It is best to start with the first book and work your way through to get the best reader experience so you can fully envelope the world and characters that Jean has given us.

10 Days by KJ Holliday is a rom com holiday story. This fun read is about a camping trip set to free thoughts of a writer who has writer’s block and thus the fun, adventure and shenanigans begin. This city boy meets country girl story was told from Alex’s POV and I found his sarcastic inner voice funny even when I had to do a couple of double takes. The story felt like it was written for a younger audience as well. The premise is good but I found it to be missing something to take it to the next level. It’s refreshing to see a story that is not about the norm.

This fast-paced breezy romance story is about a novelist, Alex Jones, who was facing a writer’s block which was proving a hindrance to his next novel. Two of his childhood friends, Luke and Penny convince him to take a camping trip to clear up his mind and have a new perspective. Alex Jones is not very fond of countryside and camping, which is completely out of his comfort zone. However, he decides to go along with his friends. In the matter of 10 days, he ends up falling in love with Penny, which was never a part of the plan. This makes the situation even more hilarious with Alex’s sarcastic inner voice nudging him frequently. His feelings towards Penny and his awkwardness on how Luke would react if he knows the reality forms a very interesting plot. Set in the cradle of nature amidst the country side wilderness, it is a breezy love story. You will enjoy reading it.

It took me a little while to get into the story, it was a little confusing as it goes in two parallel stories. Vince is an undercover police officer has to take on a false identity to infiltrate into a Jihadi group. He becomes Zami, and becomes a prisoner, but falls dangerously in love with one of the Jihadi leader’s sister, Ayesha. So, Now Zami shifts between his new identity and his original identity time and again weaving a fictional romantic tale between Vince and Ayesha to gain the attraction of the real Ayesha.
So Vince/Zami leads a dual life and the thin line between reality and deception starts thinning down.
It is impossible to decipher what is the truth and what is farce. What is Vince revealing to the readers? Or is he deceiving them too?
The narrative is complex, but very deftly woven. I had to flip the pages back and forth to keep track of what is going on. But it is definitely one of the unique books I have read.

I was pulled right in from the beginning. Cassie had a rough night of partying and tried to go to her first tutorial very hungover. Let’s just say it didn’t go very well for her. She managed to embarrass herself in front of her very handsome tutor.

Diego is younger than the usual professor and hot. Something about Cassie intrigues him and he looks forward to tutoring her. They start to get closer and feelings start to develop. Will they be able to keep things professional or will they give in to their feelings?

Overall I really enjoyed this Novella, it was a quick read. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. The characters were easy to connect with. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and start reading today.

This is a short read as stated and I still found myself enjoying it just as much as longer reads. At first I had a little trouble connecting with the characters but that was short lived and when we found our groove I was definitely hooked. The characters are complex and the storyline is well written and paced nicely even though shorter I still got everything I wanted. Four stars and highly recommended. Ready to see what else this author has to offer.

The characters pulled me in without any trouble and I was ready for their journey. The main character Dre may be one of my favorite characters the author definitely hit the nail on the head with her story. The storyline is engaging and well written with characters I found myself falling for easily. My one sad note to add was when it ended , I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Five big stars and highly recommended.

Can Dreams Come True? (Book One of the Cecily Taylor Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager was a really good read! I’m not going to lie. It wasn’t until about the halfway point that I really got into this book. It felt kind of drawn out in a way, but also very naive. Cecily seemed like such a pushover, and very docile I think is the word? I felt like she let things go too far with Zach while he pushed her for the same exact thing. It seemed very toxic to me, and I didn’t enjoy that relationship at all. However, once Cecily started kind of speaking and saying what she actually thought, she became much more likeable. Overall though this was a really good read and I would definitely recommend it as a coming of age story and I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Diego keeps pushing Cassie away and even makes up lies to try to get her to move on so she doesn’t ruin her education. This was the first book I’ve read by this author.

I seriously can never get enough from this author or this series in general! Each book they have written I am Truly captivated and hooked. Each book in this series brings secrets and darkness of the character’s own to light, and I am hooked and mesmerized! It takes a skilled author to truly to achieve that again and again!

I love how each one of these books in the series that brings on two characters that are placed together due to unforeseen circumstances. I loved Luc and Summer so freaking much. They had that chemistry that you only dream about. Their ties together seemed like it was just random, but behind every thing that happens with this Mafia in Chicago, there are secrets or skeletons in the closet that always come to light…whether you like it or not. Summer quickly became a fan favorite for me. her intuition was always spot on, and how she saw the world compared to the females in other books was different and enlightening. I learned so much from the way she sees. The moments she and Luc spent together were amazing, the suspense was to die for as well. I freaking loved this one! Loved it so freaking much!

If you have not had the pleasure of reading this amazing author, I must say read books by them as of right this moment! If you have not read other books in this Mafia series, it is best to read from the 1st one to truly understand and get wrapped up in the affairs of the Mafia. This book alone is a must read, it was perfect in every which way, and I highly do recommend it! It is a must read! I am dead serious about that!

This is the first book in a new series of standalone novellas set in the fictionalised Kirk University. First year psychology student Cassie Rodriguez is at University to both work hard and party hard and definitely not to fall in love. However during her tutorials with Diego Valentine her seminar lecturer, the chemistry between them is hard to ignore. Cassie and Diego have to decide whether to act on their feelings, or keep their relationship a secret. This is an enjoyable and engaging forbidden love novella. A fairly quick read but one which took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I fell in love with both Cassie and Diego who were likeable and realistic characters. The chemistry between them really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. I look forward to reading future books in this series by Diana Vale.

I’m really getting into N.L. Holmes’ books and The Sun at Twilight is another fantastic read! It’s the fourth in the Empire at Twilight series – set in the 13th Century BCE near the end of the Hittite Empire. The books focus on different characters during this period – in this case, it is the King Tudhaliya IV.
As I’ve said before, N.L. Holmes does a fantastic job of bringing historical worlds to life. She draws on historical evidence to inform the stories and their settings, creating vivid pictures of what life might have been like. Empire at Twilight takes place in a time and place I knew very little about so it has been very educational, as well as inspiring me to look into what artefacts have survived from this period.
The story is exciting and compelling. It opens with the protagonist mourning his late father and setting out his hopes and fears for his coming reign. There are already plenty of complications in family dynamics and allegiances, and people waiting to take advantage of the change in leadership. As the story progresses, there are even more twists and turns.
For me, this is a five star book. I would recommend this series to adult readers who enjoy historical fiction and want to be transported far back in time.

I enjoyed this sweet romance story. This is a new author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well developed story about Stone who is all of a sudden faced with real responsibility and Emmerslyn who is finally getting her practice started. What she didn’t expect was for him to walk into her life. Now he is faced with someone who needs him and someone who has his heart. What will fate have in store for them? They are really great characters that are relatable and made me feel as if I was right there with them. It was entertaining reading their story as well as a page turner. I highly recommend finding out what happens to these two by reading this book.

This is a young adult story that is a little dark and I loved reading it. This is an author I have loved from the first time I picked up one of her books. I was pulled into the story from the first word. It is a fast paced, well written story that kept me turning pages to the end. The characters are relatable and bring the story to life. They made the story easy to read. This is a story about a young girl whose life is just a struggle. She is in search of ways to make her feel less lonely and most of all less pain. She struggles everyday but will she find the light? Will the people who care about her help bring light into her or will the darkness just take over? I loved watching the characters grow throughout the story and what they bring to the story. I am glad I picked up this book and I think you will too. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Hacker is the 2nd book in the Mercenaries Series by Nadine Travers. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. When I read this book I didn’t realise that there had been a book before it and did not feel that I was missing any necessary information. Although having now read Hacker, I’d love to go back and read Renegade’s story.
This is a really great, well written, free flowing book that keeps the reader engaged from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. The story is packed with content and will drag you through many emotions.
Chris ‘Hacker’ Montgomery is unable to forget the girl he met 6 months ago who subsequently vanished so what happens when Marie appears and asks him to protect her and her sister from their mafia father?
I thoroughly enjoyed Hacker and Marie’s story. They are both great characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and want them to have their well deserved HEA.
This is not all flowers and romance, This book is packed with action, danger, intrigue and mystery. The romance part is just a nice added extra.
If you like a mafia romance with a bit of a difference then this book is for you. I really can’t wait to read more from this series.

When she meets him she almost melts. He is gorgeous and seems so personable asking her not to call him sir but to call him Diego! She is rattled and ends up getting sick in his office! What an impression. Continuing on with her tutorials and seeing Diego out and spending time with him its not long before sparks fly! Diego tries really hard to stay professional but its getting harder every day. If you like paranormal fantasy stories, look no further Jean GIll is an amazing author. This is the third book in the series and even though it can be a stand alone book, I highly recommend reading the first two books to have the back knowledge of what is going on and who is who. The plot-line pulled me from the first page of the book until the last word. It has action and adventure around each corner. The characters are unique and complicated. The journey you take with them will keep you on your toes. You need to have eyes in the back of your head to see what is going on behind you as well as in front of you. The imagination of Jean Gill is in full force and I cannot wait to see what she has coming next. I highly recommend this book and the whole series especially if you like fantasy and paranormal stories.

Truly, this is such an exciting series! I loved book 1 so much that I binge read book 2 in a matter of a day! Her ability to interweave fairy tales, stories, and nursery rhymes is so enjoyable! You just never know who you are going to meet next!

The pace of the book kept me reading to find out what happened next, and I was surprised by who was introduced as new characters to continue with Hook’s mission to save the little mermaid. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, there was an unexpected twist!

This is the first book by Vale I’ve read but it won’t be my last. Vale knows what she’s doing and keeps readers interested in the book. Professor Valentine is a great start to a new series.

Cassie is a freshman at Kirk University and is trying to accomplish her dreams. She wants to work in child psychology and is working her way to it. Her Professor is not the old type, but younger and hot. The quote I chose for Cassie is: “Nah, I’m still recovering from last night.”

Diego Valentine is the youngest professor to date and he is hot. When one student catches his eye things change. He does what isn’t allowed and loves every moment of it.
