So this is the first book I’ve read by this author and I read this as a standalone which although it’s number two in a series it can be read as a standalone. So usually I have an issue with standalone that I feel like there’s a huge gap missing as I didn’t read the first book but this book didn’t suffer from that at all which I was thankful for. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters, the story kept me interested and hooked and I couldn’t wait to finish it. The book has some humour which was good in the moments we needed and romance and steamy moments. Really enjoyed this.
Secure Her (The Chase Security Series Book 4) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Gail Guerrero
Four Stars
I think steam was coming out my ears while I was reading this story. I could feel there desire through the first pages. Zach lost so much and yet he couldn’t keep his need for a sub at bay. But the guilt was too much. Saoirse is a very strong woman who happens to be naïve about love. While reading this story I noticed that Saoirse clashed with herself a lot. With who she portrayed herself to be and who she felt she wasn’t. I liked how the author put the plot together. It had a nice flow to it. There wasn’t a moment that you were not engaged. I felt the characters had developed nicely. Not my first book by this author and certainly not my last. This series is amazing and tied together by the need to protect those who can’t protect themselves.

Hook’s Little Mermaidis the first instalment in The Untold Stories series by Suzanna Lynn. This is a wonderful young adult fantasy and is a mash-up of several classic fairytales, giving us a different perspective on a story(stories) we all know so well. With Captain Hook, Peter Pan, The Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Mermaids, Red Riding Hood, drama, magic, revenge, history….. and so much more, everything comes together into a truly captivating story. I really enjoyed this clever mash-up- as Peter Pan has always been a favourite of mine. This had an extra element of interest for me though, because we get Hook’s perspective of things- giving us the backstory and motivation behind Hook’s vendetta on Pan. So, if you like clever and well-woven retellings of classic fairytales, are intrigued by Captain Hook and how he came to be like he is- then this is definitely a book you won’t want to miss. Happy Reading!

I really enjoyed this book! It was funny, unpredictable and the writing just flowed! Although Dre was a very different character to what I was expecting, once I learnt more about her background I could understand why she was the way she was! It was great to read about a independent, modern woman who wasn’t afraid to be a spitfire! The characters were all well developed and the plot had just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from N.D. Jackson!

5 Stars The Sun at Twilight (Empire at Twilight Book 4) by N.L. Holmes
The Sun at Twilight is the fourth book in The Empire at Twilight Series by N.L Holmes. This is a wonderfully written Historical fiction that I freaking loved reading. I’m a huge fan of anything Historical and this author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The style of writing and attention to detail simply blows me away. From the beginning to the end I had a hard time putting it down. Not much else got done until I finished reading. I will say if you haven’t already started this series I would highly recommend reading the whole series in order as each book is as enjoyable as this one. Plus I like to read series in order so I don’t miss anything. This takes place in the Hittite Empire in 1230’s BC and is about family, friendships and sacrifices ones make. Find out what happens next when one is to take over the throne and the other thinks it should be him. What will he choose in the end ,friendship, family or his duties? I highly recommend reading this series and highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This book is a wonderful read for both young readers and adults alike. It educated the young children about the World War II, especially about women who took part in the war. The central character in the story, Charlotte Wheeler was one of the Women air force service pilots in WW2 , she flew planes to transport them to a military base. The story is centered around a mystery involving a crashed plane and its missing pilot. The NCIS finds a note in the crashed plane, which traces it to charlotte wheeler and her family members. When Annie’s mother gets a call from the NCIS, Annie, who is about to go to college, tries to solve the mystery and learns about the women who served during WW2. Annie and her mother, find more letters in the attic and she, along with her boyfriend Ty, try to solve the pieces of the puzzle together with the resources available to them, and succeed eventually.
It is a very cool mystery and both young and old alike can enjoy this book. I am thinking of introducing this book to my young readers at home as well. This is the fourth in the Annie Tillary series, I have not read the first three. I now look forward to read the remaining books of the series.

Hook’s Little Mermaid (Book One of The Untold Series) by Suzanna Lynn was a great read! I was captured from the beginning. This was a twisted take and tale of a classic fairytale story. This was very reminiscent to me of the show Once Upon A Time, just like a younger version of it. This story is one for all ages, and I think everyone would enjoy it. Once I started reading this story I didn’t even want to put it down! Kudos to this author on an amazing story. I can’t wait to dive into the next installment!

This book was definitely different from anything I have read before. The author did an excellent job keeping me engaged and. I really needed to focus and pay attention to keep up with what was going on. It is my suggestion that when reading this story not to have distractions. I was definitely kept guessing throughout, it was hard to tell what was lies and what was reality. There were a couple of times I was a little confused but other than that I found this to be an intriguing read with a lot going on. If you want a good thought provoking, original story with secrets, terrorism, action and more than this book a good one to pick up. I recommend this book.

When Alex is suffering from a serious case of writer’s block (and the deadline for his next book is looming), his best friend Luke takes him up to the mountains to help Alex find that spark. Luke’s other best friend, and friend of Alex by association, Penny joins them on the trip. While opening Alex’s eyes to what it takes to survive in nature, Alex’s eyes are also opened about his feelings for Penny. While there is a “bro-code” between Alex and Luke, Alex finds it harder and harder to keep his thoughts from straying to Penny. When they realize they have a mutual attraction, they decide to act on it. Should they be honest with Luke at tell him what’s going on? When they are forced to end their trip early and come home, doubts start to creep into Alex’s mind about whether or not this thing with Penny can survive back in the city. This causes him and Lucas to argue…and Alex to doubt if he is worthy. I found myself drawn to Alex’s character because I can see myself in him (minus the childhood and background issues). However, I believe Penny is good for him and forces him, gently, out of his comfort zone to see the person he could be. I enjoyed the story and, like most readers, want to know what happens next. Overall, a good story.

Hook’s Little Mermaid: Captain Hook by Suzanna Lynn is a wonderful book about the background of how Captain Hook came to detest Peter Pan so much. I like that the author created such a detailed backstory. It makes the Peter Pan & Captain Hook story more interesting. Wonderful job keeping the fairytale and adding the background. There’s always two sides to a story and in this case we have a new perspective on Captain Hook. Doesn’t it make it much more interesting? I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturnes Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen was a great listen. I loved Sophie in the first book and she just shines in this one. The Executive’s Decision (The Keller Family #1) by Bernadette Marie
4-stars
I highly enjoyed this romance read from beginning to end. I ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop once I got started. I was really intrigued by Regan from the get go and I couldn’t wait to read more about her and see how her story played out, and I was not disappointed in the slightest.
This story flowed really well, there was so much detail that I found it really easy to picture everything playing out in my mind, which kept me highly entertained. I also loved all of the secondary characters in this story, they added so much depth and I hope to read more about them in the next book of the series as well.
This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

This is a Dark Romance and is 278 pages. This story follows Jordan, an escort who uses alcohol and drugs to get through the days, and her shadow, Hunter. Jordan was raped when she was younger and that is why she is who she is now. So yes, there may be some triggers in here for somebody. This is an emotionally gripping book, one that I just could not put down. This literally pulls out all the feels while you are reading. What an epic read!
This is my first book by Theresa Pocock. This is a story of guardians of the garden of Eden. It’s amazing. Couldn’t put it down. This will not be my last book by Theresa. I JUST finished this book and can’t WAIT for the next one. I’m addicted! This book has a lot of supporting cast that are important but not enough space to write about in my review so just know- all the characters are important. The main ones in this story are Miriam and Seth. Miriam lives in Edenia and has rules to live by as a Guardian. Seth is a “normal” boy whose parents drag him and his sisters to Edenia. Their story is incredible!

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1) by Kristen Lindsay Hager is a sweet and light young adult story about coming of age, falling in love for the first time, navigating through the plethora of emotions attached to growing up and giving your heart to another. Discovering your soulmate is a major part of your life and Cecily and Andrew’s journey is memorable and heartwarming. A girl who finds herself thrown into the path of her first crush is a dream come true, and reading their story was a nice change from the steamy and raunchy stories I love to read. This story was a refreshing step back into the world of first love and all the dramatic emotions involved in that journey. 4 stars.

Hacker The Mercenaries Series Book 2 By Nadine Travers ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a full length, edge of your seat, romantic suspense. Be prepared to go for the long run. Once you start this book, you will not be able to put it down. Highly addictive, hot and steamy, and even some Mafia Kings.
Chris “Hacker” Montgomery has met his soul mate. Okay maybe his one true love, she disappeared in the night. As he continues his work and searches for her, she can’t be found. He is not willing to let her go. Marie Costa is a beautiful young lady, she has raised her sister and followed her father’s demands. But enough is enough! She escapes only to be threatened to return home. Her father has promised her to a rival mafia king. He only wants to join groups and become more powerful. Deciding on her and her sister’s fate, she goes back for help from Hacker. Hacker is angered and yet willing to bring his team in to help Marie and her sister escape. Now! Will he be able to keep his head about him? Will Marie get the help she needs? What about the mafia kings? Who gets the girls?
Nadine Travers has written this non stop action story. This is one of those books that will keep you engaged and reading. The emotional highs and lows, along with the fighting for freedom is what this story holds. Nadine Travers writes her women to be strong, while very frightened, yet they still show some grit. You can’t help but love the characters. Hacker and Marie are both strong willed. But you will also love Tank and the other Mercenaries as they help out Marie. I can’t wait for the next installment. Well Done Nadine Travers! Well Done! Review@Cinful

Auctioned by Via Mari a feisty four-star read. This is number three in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, and just like the first two this is steamy and seductive. This was a great story and has so much push and pull and Bryanna and Damien both have fierce protective instincts, and that can sometimes lead to explosive action. There is some great chemistry in this one, and some great thought put into the worries of the characters, they feel deep and complex and add something to the story.

Hacker a suspenseful four-star read. This is number two in the Mercenaries series, I haven’t read number one but didn’t feel like I was missing anything from the previous story. This had action a plenty and drama was definitely a foot, there was some romance and sizzle, but it wasn’t the be all and end all. Fast paced through this story and has enough characters that you are kept interested but not enough that you get lost. Marie and Hacker will make you care and want to know more about them.

This is the 4th book in the Empire At Twilight series and the books keep getting better. What I love about this author is how they are able to bring history to life. The stories are enjoyable to read and the author knowledge about historical times really brings the story and characters to life.
Tudhaliya IV has taken the throne of the Hittite Empire after his father passes away. He is placed in that position over all of his older half brothers and he wonders why.
Knowing that it isn’t his rightful role he struggles to keep everyone happy and his relationships with his family members on the right track. However with his best friend and cousin the rightful person to take the throne,Tudhaliya is torn between his loyalty to his family and dear friend and his duty to the throne. Add to this story the forces working against him and he doesn’t know who to trust. Should we just trust people because they are family or should he be guarded against everyone and anyone.

I loved this MC story. I have read most if not all the books in this author’s MC series. They just keep getting better and better with each one. Her attention to details make the story feel realistic and her stories are well developed. The characters are relatable and keep the story engaging. Hot, bad boys on motorcycles, what more could you ask for. This is a story of action, romance, and when fate steps in you have no control over what happens next. I loved being pulled into this story from the beginning. The characters just bring the story to life and really made the story for me. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life and romance to a new level. They are engaging and relatable. They kept me turning pages to the end. This is a story about Willow and the journey she is about to take. She has let feelings stand in her way of happiness until now. What will happen when Gunn walks into her life? She is determined not to let her guard down for him but will she change her mind? They have great chemistry and made such a cute couple. I enjoyed watching the growth between them which made the story fun to read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I see this series as one of the wildest rides of my reading life. And now, as we tunnel below what we thought was rock bottom, the city is still in peril, and Dahlia is dealing with possibly the most loaded metaphorical plate that I’ve ever seen. After all, being asked to solve everything while barely having gotten out of her last scrape alive tends to weigh heavily on the mind and body. There might be a day where our heroine gets to have some peace, but today is not that day. In the meantime, grab a copy and help cheer her on!

L. Schneider – Review by Victoria Mashburn
Whether we are human or shapeshifter, secrets can be our best friend, or our worst enemy. For Dahlia, it seems as though she straddles the thin line between those distinctions, and that fact is the most prominent in this book as she tackles yet another wave of unspeakable crimes against the very species that she lives to protect. It seems that, even with a partner, it may turn out to go far too deep for our favorite heroine to tackle. Can her empathy give her the answers that she needs? Who else is keeping secrets, and what are the consequences? Read to find out!
