Askew Ever After: A Limited Edition Romance Collectiom by Aubrey Wynne is brilliant story by someone who is fast became a firm favourite author of mine. This book is part of a collection of stories written by various different authors and yet it stand out completely when you are reading it. Aubrey Wynne has managed to create a story that grabs your attention from the moment you start reading. I fell in love with these characters straight away and had to find out what their story would be. As I have come to expect from this author I found this book to be entertaining. It is a sweet and easy read but thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend this book and highly recommend this author.
Murder At Lolly Beach: An Eve Sawyer Mystery by Jane Suen is the second book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. I always look forward to starting a new boom by this author as she has such a wide variety of books that you never quite know what you are about to get. I really enjoyed the character of Eve in this book – she was not only interesting to read about but also had depth to her which a lot of characters tend to lack. The book was well written and had enough twists thrown in to make the book intriguing. This author has such a brilliant way of writing – anything I have ready by her I have thoroughly enjoyed and this book is no exception. I am looking forward to whatever is to come next from this author already.

When you have to give up the man of your dreams, then four years later your life is getting there and you are coming to terms with the decisions you made. A blast from the past comes blowing in and when he’s angry with you, can you both get past the betrayal.
Tessa has a new life and four years on her life is starting to get back on track, she still thinks about the boy she left behind but she had no choice. While getting on with life in walks a major part of her life that she thought she would never see again, Jordan.
Jordan is still hurt and angry after Tessa left and although four years has gone he still feels angry at her disappearance, until one day he walks in a spots her again. Will he be able to forgot or will his anger and betrayal be too much.
First of all, although this a great story in its own right you may need to read the first book as it sets up the story before and although this does have some detail you may need to follow. The story is brilliant, its great to see the two of them four years after Tessa left and with the emotions running high for both of them it makes a great read.
Although I understood Jordan’s reaction to the information he finds out he does not proceed in a sensible way although he is willing to listen I think he still acts like an a$$ and his family was even worst. I did feel sorry for Tessa and that she was trying to get her life together but while she is trying to live her complicated life in walks Jordan and throws everything into turmoil.
The book is well written and the characters are brilliantly created and interact, I loved the second book in this series and can’t wait to read the next book for this great author.

I was so excited to see my preorder finally arrive in my kindle and couldn’t wait to dive in. This is a fantastic collection of stories that are quick and easy reads. If you enjoy romance stories that cover quite a bit of ground, this collection is one you will enjoy. One stand out for me was “Paper Love” by Aubrey Wynne. I immediately connected with Joss and loved reading about her and Ben. It was an emotional story that connected to the heart. Loved this story and the entire collection. Recommended for all romance lovers.
I can’t help it, I am truly a sucker for romance! Paper love by Aubrey Wynne is one out of a small collection, and definitely one that stands out! This is my first book from this author, but i assure you, after this wonderful read, it will not be the last. The story of Joss and Ben is slow, but beautiful. I didn’t like Ben at first, but by the end i had fallen almost as in love with him as Joss! This is just an overall very sweet story, as well as incredibly well written. I loved reading along with their story, but at the same time, i loved seeing the work and detail the author put into this one of a kind romance story. I definitely not only recommend this book, but this talented author!

I love this series, I love Eve and how she cant help but get involved when she feels needed, whether anyone likes it or not LOL
This one twisted around enough to have me all confused and even truly scared a few times at what the outcome was going to be and the who that they were looking for. The who had me questioning everything throughout the book.
I loved the friendship between Eve, Cassie, and Bob and although I was suspicious of him through much of my reading I also really liked Jake and truly hope there is more coming in the future with that friendship…
I love ANYTHING Jane Suen writes, she is one of my top one clicks, her books always make you sit and think when you finish, there is always much to sort out. She has a way of twisting things so quick you don’t even realize what’s happening.
A very quick read because when you get started you have to finish in one sitting!

Jordan came back for one and one thing alone to get revenge on the girl who walked away from him four years ago. He will make her regret that decision with every simple bone in her body.
Every new chapter leaves you wanting more. As soon as I started reading I couldn’t put the book down. The book swallows you into the world never wanting for it to come to an end. You felt every raw emotion Tessa and Jordan felt without ever once knowing who you wanted to root for.
This is the second book of this series. Each book takes you on a journey that you don’t ever want to miss.

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sports Romance is the second book in the Tessa and Jordan series by T. Christensen. This is not my first book I’ve read by Ms. Christensen but it is definitely my favorite. That being said I have not read Breaking Tessa which is the first book in this series, which now I’m definitely going to have to do. I think that I’m going to have to wait a little while before reading it though because this book absolutely tore me up. My husband kept asking me why I was crying, and he said a book shouldn’t make you cry. However, I think a book that brings out this much feelings in a reader is a great book. This book can be read as a standalone. There was no problem understanding the plot. This is my first ugly cry of the year, and I actually feel great after reading it. I think the characters were well defined (if not always likable) and the storyline flowed well. Even though it is only January, I think this is going to be one of my top five books this year. I absolutely loved this! This is my first audio by this author but I have listened to this narrator before and she was such a fantastic pick for this book. I was sucked into this story and I didn’t want it to end! This book was funny and romantic and I enjoyed every but of it. What a great short story! Don’t Worry, I Still Hate you is a story written by Marie Skye. I just absolutely love this author! In this story, which I wish was longer by the way, we meet Perrie and Ash. These two have known each other since they were in high school. By mere chance, they reconnected in Las Vegas while Perrie was at a Bachelorette party! Perrie thought that this was the last time they would see each other, however fate had a different plan. Perrie needed a roommate and posted an ad about it. Low and behold, who shows up? Ash! This was an awesome story with lots of steamy moments as well as lots of comedy. These two characters have a lot of great chemistry and balanced each other very well. Like I said earlier, I wished this story was longer but it was great nonetheless. It was definitely a story that I could not put down! I can’t wait to read more from Marie Skye!

Amy McKinley continues to show us what an incredible author she is, time and time again! Each book she brings us you can guarantee that you will get drawn into the incredible storyline and epic characters. This read has everything and more! It’s full of action, suspense and romance. It’s fast-paced and action-packed and keeps you guessing, and leaves you wanting more. I loved following Riley and Xander’s story throughout this read and watching their connection and chemistry develop. I absolutely loved this read and couldn’t recommend it enough! I give Flipping the Bird: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel (Shift Creek Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.
This author never fails to amaze me by how good each and every one of her books are. This is a new series that I fell in love with in the very beginning. Alice is so much fun. Not to mention that I have very rarely (if at all) seen a crow shifter. This makes it even more refreshing . As you can tell by the title, this book is written a fun, entertaining way and you will be unable to put it down until you finish. Besides the fun aspect of the book, there is the romantic angle as well as suspense on what will happen to the town.
Overall, it is a quirky, fun supernatural romance that will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this book.

Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley. I LOVED this book. I actually love anything written by Mya O’Malley so I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint! Its the story of Miriam a police officer that lives in New York. Miriam has built a wall around her heart so she doesn’t plan on letting anyone in. Her heart was broken years ago by a guy named Jesse and she is determined to never let that happen again. Jesse is looking for a new start on life so when he’s given the opportunity to become a fireman in New York he jumps at the chance. The only problem is when he sees Miriam all those old feelings come back. Miriam has a boyfriend but he’s becoming very clingy and wanting to know about the future which is a red flag for Miriam. When she and Jesse see each other and kiss its all she can do to keep from thinking about him. Jesse is consumed with thoughts of Miriam all the while Miriam is looking for a killer! Will she keep her heart from being broken again or will she go down the same road as before? Read Matching Miriam to find out!
I really enjoyed this fun, lighthearted romance combined with some delightful supernatural elements. Alice Crawford is a salvage artist who makes art by collecting junk and also a crow shifter and lives in a place called Shift Creek. The creek is named shift creek as every full moon it back flows and rejuvenates its healing properties. Donovan Drake is a warlock, who has lost his father and his magic is locked. He has come to the creek to unlock his magic with the healing powers of the creek. But when he finds himself falling for the crow shifter, he knows things are not turning out as he had planned. The story is action packed, filled with hilarious moments, romance and mystery. It is a fairly short and an entertaining read.

Broken Circle: A Gray Ghost Novel, Book 1 AUDIO BOOK
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Broken Circle is a story about how keeping secrets in a marriage can lead to the destruction of a relationship. I enjoyed the themes of love, infidelity, greed, deceit and family that were explored in this book. All of the characters had strong motivations and ties to one another. This is my fourth Amy McKinley novel, and I’m not disappointed. I love her writing style and how she structures her stories. This is also my second audiobook narrated by Regan Brown. I appreciated Ms. Brown’s performance better in this one and felt like she gave all of the characters their own distinct feel.
I do have a few nitpicks. Sometimes, I felt annoyed with the main character, Liv. In the beginning of the book, she was very suspicious of her husband, Alex. She was afraid of infidelity because of how her parents had dealt with it during her upbringing. However, until the second act of the book, I didn’t feel like Alex gave sufficient reasons to be suspicious. Liv felt upset that he was being secretive, but he literally worked in law enforcement to dismantle crime organizations. I didn’t really understand why she felt so entitled to the classified information Alex had to deal with for his job. These are spoilers, but I also didn’t feel like Liv had appropriate reactions when she found out that Alex belonged to a high profile cartel in South America, and she also seemed too careless when she was undercover and trying to run away from Alex’s family.
In the end, this story is definitely a fantasy type of romance. The woman bounces from one handsome, sexy, wealthy man to another. She is always provided for and she always has a man to cherish and protect her. All of the danger and excitement are just twists and turns along the way. If you’re looking for romance that’s tinged with tragedy and adventure, then you’ll enjoy Broken Circle.

Rose has built her business on love. She owns a flower shop where she is called upon to provide flowers showing love for all types of occasions…weddings, funerals, etc.. However, she has also started a Valentine’s secret admirer event. As she is working towards getting ready for this year’s event…the boy that broke her heart 20 years ago is now the man standing in her flower shop. Twenty years ago, Liam was forced to up and leave his hometown behind. He is still not over the events of that night and harbors a lot of resentment and anger. After a surgery gone wrong, Liam needs to take a vacation and get away for a bit. Instead of joining his girlfriend and her family on a ski trip, he decides to head back to his hometown and clear his head. Imagine his surprise when the Air BnB that he is staying at is right above his former best friend’s flower shop. While Liam and Rose find the friendship that Liam left behind, there are secrets in their lives that, once out, could ruin what they are building. There are ups and downs…there is betrayal and forgiveness…and there is hope and love. This book is written in a way that an older romantic language is woven throughout the pages. It added to the overall feel of the book…and I enjoyed it. Rose and Liam were wonderful characters and my heart was breaking and mending right along with them. A heartfelt love story which takes place at what is considered to be the most romantic time of the year.
Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley was a great read! I was absolutely enthralled with this novel. I especially loved being thrown back in the world with Naomi again. That was unexpected surprise for me honestly. O’Malley is such a great writer, she’s able to make the whole world come alive when she writes. This novel was packed with love and romance, thrill, mystery and some suspense. It was also completely heartwarming as well. I can’t wait to read more from Mya in the future! Everything I’ve read of hers has not disappointed me yet!
This book is a great book by a new author for me. I enjoyed her plotline and her characters. The plotline is a romance with suspense mixed in. I feel like I know the characters and can be friends with them. Tara is ready to put her past behind her. She needs to move forward. Opening a new restaurant is how she is moving forward. Then Jace walks into Tara’s restaurant and life. He has a tragic past. He started to talk to Tara and wants to pursue a relationship. Will their past keep them from moving on? How will their past affect their future? I highly recommend this book to see what happens between Tara and Jace.

This story crushed me. I really wanted it to continue the vibe from the last book and it did to an extent. But then the wording got in the way. I struggled many times with the words or phrases the author used. They either didn’t fit the situation or they were waaay to advanced for me and I had to look them up. I get what she is trying to do but it made it hard for me (the reader) to keep following along with the flow of the story. Which made it hard for me to connect to the characters.
I like the idea of the story but just didn’t flow for me. The characters are cute but I only *felt* their friendship not love. Rose is delightful at times. That whole “pain meter” thing she did is pure imagination. It put a smile on my face. I loved the idea of the secret Valentines too. Again I felt something here but wanted to know more about how the it worked and the people connection. I did feel Rose spent a bit too much time in her head..going off on dreams and thinking about the past, future etc. some of that is okay but she had way too much.
The Epilogue just threw me for a loop. I was wishing it would have said “One Year Later” before I started reading.
Overall this is an okay read. I liked some things but the dislikes I had outweighed them.

Dance of Hearts: a Cinderella Regency Romance Retelling by Byrd Nash is the first book in the Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retelling series. This is a short, sweet story that is highly enjoyable. Although it is a retelling of the classic Cinderella story it has a lovely unique feel to it thanks to the regency setting and the fantasy element the author has added. The book was well written and so easy to connect with. The characters were engaging and it was great to be able to enjoy their story a clean and refreshing fashion. This book really is a fun and interesting book to read and I would certainly recommend it. I enjoyed it from start to finish and am looking forward to the next in the series.

Miriam is a badass police officer who lives in New York and has built walls around her heart, she doesn’t want it broken again, but she is wondering whether it might be worth starting to let her guard down and look at finding love again, but she doesn’t open up easily apart from with her best friend, although even she doesn’t know everything. As Miriam leaves for a run, her best friend drives past and invites her for coffee with another friend, but Miriam declines it as she knows that she isn’t needed and she wants to run, but as she is running, she is bombarded by memories of her childhood and things she has kept locked away for a long time, including her first love Jesse, normally she can banish them, but today is different and she cannot escape them. When her boyfriend asks her if she is now bringing her work home, she is not happy about it and when he tries to talk about where their relationship is going, she pulls down the shutters, she has dating demons and is scared of them rearing their heads again with him and when he goes to kiss her, she freezes and takes a step back.
Jesse is a man who needs a change of scenery, he is trying to get away from his most recent relationship after it ended and when the job opportunity in New York for a fireman he jumps at the chance, but the main reason is Miriam, he first love and someone who cannot forget no matter how he tries, he thinks about what her life is like now and whether he may be able to be a part of it again and he is damn well going to try his hardest to make that either a reality or finally get the closure he would need to move on. The next day Miriam is thinking about the kiss the night before as well as how her best friend is acting strangely, when she comes round to talk to her and what she has to say unnerves Miriam to the extreme.
Miriam is called into work when a homicide is reported and she and her partner are assigned the case, but the details of the murder are really unusual and they end up chasing their tales when they can’t put things together as they would like to be able to. As the day progresses and her boyfriend keeps calling and texting, it is starting to irritate Miriam and this makes her think about Jesse even more. Meanwhile, Jesse is struggling to get Miriam out of his head, so when he decides to go for a run, he is shocked to run into Miriam who is also out for one, but when she trips and falls, Jesse insists on seeing her home to make sure that she is ok, the emotions which swirl around them are more than they can handle, so she makes Jesse leave.
As the case develops and things do start falling into place, things are strained for Miriam, between Jesse reappearing, the things her best friend has been telling her and the situation with her boyfriend and the fact that there is a murderer on the loose, she doesn’t know if she is coming or going and things just keep getting stranger, but will they solve the case, or will the things that have been foretold come to pass? Can Miriam solve all the problems in her life, or will they all coalesce to bring her down?
If you like trying to solve a crime with a dash of romance and a bit of the supernatural sprinkled in for good measure, this is the book for you and it will suck you in.
This is a beautiful love story about taking risk, learning to forgive and find love again.

Chris Markum was a professional skier until an accident left him paralysed. Now he’s back in training to join the paralymics team. When he meets Carly the attraction is real and quick but he has several issues. Will his disability stop him finding love? Will he be able to satisfy her like a normal man.
They both have to leave to adapt their lives and open themselves up and risk being hurt in order to let their love grow. Will fear tear them apart? Or are they strong enough to fight all the obstacles and be together?
Even with the authors warning at the beginning of this book I was not prepared for how much this was going to emotionally ruin me, there was quite a lot of blubbing, and by the end of the book, I was a snotty mess that sank herself into a bottle of wine and a hefty amount of chocolates. We are introduced to Tara and Jace, two main characters who a lugging around their own hefty bag of personal baggage, their backs breaking under the strain, and their ability to connect with others irreparably damaged. But when they meet each other they feel a connection, a connection infuriatingly ignored for the longest time, but it sizzles on the page every time they are in each other’s vicinity, Quinn can write sexual tension. Once again this is another series that I’ve jumped into without actually reading the installments that have gone before, but this is no detriment to Tara and Jace’s tale it stands alone with all its heart-breaking moments, and all the spine-tinglingly saucy ones too. I thought that the added element of a mystery was a nice little bonus, that kept me guessing right till the final pages. I like the fact that while there is plenty of sultry shenanigans to go round, the story isn’t lost and you never lose the sense of who these characters are, what they have experienced, and how far they’ve come in their journey. This is a story about finding redemption and that sometimes in order to allow ourselves to fully heal, we have to be vulnerable and exposed. A touching romance that will absolutely make you cry, Quinn warns you and I’ve just warned you; be prepared!!

This is the second book in this romance and it’s perfect as book one ended on a cliffhanger. There is so much emotion in this book, it really makes you feel for Tessa. Jordan is so angry throughout most of the book but i still cant help but be drawn to him. It starts four years later and there is so much drama throughout most of the book its quite intense. Jordan wants answer’s and new and old secrets are revealed. You definitely need to read book 1 before starting this as it will make more sense. Great read.

I have now read and listened to quite a few of Amy McKinley’s books and this one is by far my favorite.
Olivia (Liv) and Alex have the perfect cookie cutter marriage with all the frills that go with it…… or do they?
Amy took me on a wild rollercoaster ride with this one with some absolutely THRILLING twists and turns. A wonderful second honeymoon to reconnect and one totally from the left field phone call……..Some secrets just don’t stay secret for long and then Bam!!! add another surprise…… that’s all I’ll say.
Regan Brown breathed something extra into these characters with an excellent job with the narration. She portrayed the personalities of the characters with ease and just enhanced the storie so much more.
With Amy McKinley creating an AMAZING story with superbly crafted characters and Regan Brown bringing those characters to life with the narration, I highly recommend this audio book.

First book by this author and not a bad job. This story has an interesting twist and interesting characters. This story seems like the two main characters may never get together. Glaive and Ada are doomed from the start. But this author doesn’t let them struggle for long! Although they each do have suffering to bare. The adventure these two must endure for a happily ever after is proof that love conquers all. The only negative I have about this book is the setting confused me a little. It seems that the world they live in is in the past as they have a King ruling the land with soldiers protecting with swords. But at the same time there are modern vehicles. Travel is occasionally done by horse and by car. It does distract occasionally from the story line.
I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to the next book in this series. I only wonder if it will be more adventures for Ada and Glaive or new characters

THE GRACEFUL GHOST: A story for girls rich with authentic ballet school detail and sparkling with ghostly mischief by Eleanor Dixon is a delightful children’s fantasy story. This sweet little tale is about a young girl who loves dance and ballet and longs to see one herself. The only problem is she is a ghost. With heart-warming characters, it is an engaging story that any little girl will fall in love with.
4 Star Evil’s Whisper (Evil Saga book 1) by Jordan Elizabeth Evil’s Whisper is the first book in the Evil Saga by Jordan Elizabeth. This is a dark fantasy about a woman who is trying to escape a life that confines her. With that being said I had a bit of a hard time connecting with the character and it took me a while to get into the story. But once I did I had a hard time putting it down. There was parts I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Sabiya has been living in a town where women aren’t treated well and are told they are replaceable. She starts put on a journey but finds herself kidnapped recsued and was brought right back to where she was attempting to escape. Find put what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Dance of Hearts: a Cinderella Regency Romance Retelling (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 1) Byrd Nash 4 out of 5 stars
Like (I think), so many others, I love a good retelling of a classic fairytale. The fact that Byrd Nash used a historical time period to do so, is unique and extremely intriguing. Byrd Nash is an author that is completely new to me and Dance of Hearts is a novella that is completely outside of my go to genres. I thought this novella was extremely well written from start to finish. Admittedly my only set back was the language tied into a period piece and again, this is only because this is not my go to genre. I would definitely recommend this book to those that enjoy a short, clean romance with great imagery. I look forward to reading more from Byrd Nash in the future!
