Once Again, C.L. Schneider has done it again in the continuation of Ian Troy’s story. I like how it didn’t immediately pick up where the last book was left off, but that only made me starving to know just what happened, and was trying to put the pieces together just as Ian himself was. I have to say it’s not often that a sequel is as good as it’s first book, but this one took the crown home. With her World Building, descriptions, and attention to detail and not afraid to be graphic some times, This was just as brilliant of a take on the fantasy genre as her first one. I am eager to see how it all concludes in the third and final book, which I am about to start reading the second I finish this review. I recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy and even to those who usually aren’t fantasy folks, you need to give this one a try.

Much like Ian Troy, I too have an addiction to magic, though mine is confined within pages of fantasy novels, and this was no exception, if anything it only made my addition worse. It begins with your usual fantasy good vs evil but as the story unfolds, and more background and world building is done, it becomes so much more than that. Schneider did such an amazing job taking the fantasy novel and making it her own. The building of the background material and the world made me want more and more. I loved how it wasn’t all just so simple black and white with how everything was meant to be, but that it touched on all the Grey area in between. I will be the first to say all magic comes with a price, but it’s a price worth paying to read this book.

Raven White has written this first book in The Mercenaries Series. This is the first book and it takes off on page 1. It is well written and filled with suspense. Raven White is new to me, but I can already say, I’m going to enjoy this series. You can’t help but fall in love with her characters. Her blending suspense with romance was a real rollercoaster of a ride. This alone will keep you reading. I for one am looking forward to her next book in this series.

The story Dagda’s Daughter (Raven and Hummingbird Book 2) by Nikki Broadwell is a wonderful book. I truly enjoyed reading it. It has mythology, spells, gods, and danger. The story had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Katel. She is the daughter of the Celtic god Dagda. Dagda is trying to keep control over her, which is becoming harder and harder to do. Katel is kind, caring, and strong. I found Dagda so be manipulative and selfish. What does the future hold for Katel? Dagda has committed illegal actions. What will this mean to all worlds? Read this book to find out. This story had me glued to the pages and not wanting to put the book down until I had read the last page. There are additional characters that are introduced and while some of them are helpful to Katel, there are others who have their own agenda and plans. Katel is a character that is likable, and I found myself caring about what happens to her and that she is happy. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

Amy grew up on the Satan’s Devils Motorcycle club compound. Drew found himself part of the club when his sister married a member. Despite their ten-year age difference, Amy and Drew became good friends. When Amy was 7 and Drew was 17, Amy became accompanied him to museums and ice cream shops. When he was 19, Drew instilled a love of horses into a 9-year-old Amy. At 14, Amy found it hard to accept that a 24-year-old Drew was going out on dates. At 17, Amy wanted to be the one Drew wanted to date. Amy’s father was having no part of that and made sure Drew made it clear that he was not interested in Amy to halt her endless flirting. At 18, a heart-broken Amy left home to pursue college and career in another city.
When Amy comes home at the age of 27, so much has changed. Life has taught her many lessons and she is still recovering from having her trust shattered. Coming home from Christmas and having to face her family is hard. While she knows her father, or any club brother for that matter, would help her deal with her problem, she feels ashamed and doesn’t want to get them involved. What she doesn’t count on is the boy she loved growing up now being the man in charge the Satan’s Devils…or that this man would ask her for the one thing she is having a hard time finding again, trust. Can Amy trust Drew? Can she find herself again? Or is she broken beyond repair?
From what I can tell, this story is the furthering of stories previously written about this motorcycle club. I found myself falling in love with the characters and wanting to know more of their back story. I was rooting for Amy and Drew, while hoping that Amy would see herself as a survivor and allow herself to heal and find happiness again. This was a good read that made me crave more of this world. I will definitely be looking into the other books in this series!

I enjoyed this book. This is an action filled fantasy book that kept me reading until the end. This is a creative, well developed story that is engaging with a realistic feel to it. I was pulled in right from the beginning by the characters. What will happen when you have broken rules, a woman who is about to have her magic power interupt her life and an uncertain future of the worlds? I highly recomend reading this book to find out what happens next with this mess.

This is an awesome series by a great author. This boxset is full of suspense, mystery and murder. The books are well develped with characters that bring the story to life and made me feel as if I was right there with them. They are engaging and page turners. The twist and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Lies, revenge, and a past that won’t stay in the past, you won’t regret picking up this boxset. This is a must read set.

I loved this book. This is the sixth book in this series I have read and it is my favorite. I highly suggest reading all of the previous books in this series. Jax Marlin- To Catch a Marlin by T.K. Toppin is a combination of sci-fi, mystery, and adventure all wrapped up into one book. Toppin does a masterful job of creating an interesting and engaging plot line. Also her characters are fully developed and easy to imagine in your mind’s eye. I really like the character Jax Marlin. She is a strong female character, who technically is a criminal but she is a vigilante. I love the adventure that Toppin took me on with Jax Marlin and add in Special Inspector Michael Pedroni to really heat up the pursuit. Will Special Inspector Pedroni find Jax Marlin before she finds the new alliance in town or will he stop the pursuit? You will have to read this book to find out what happens.

The story Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6) by Meghan O’Flynn is an amazing book to read. It has mystery and suspense. There are times when I wondered what was going to happen next. As the main characters try to solve the murder of the son of a very important member of the community you are taken on an investigation that is a ride that will not stop until the end. It is up to Detective Petrosky and his new partner to find and bring in the murderer. This is another wonderful book set in Ash Park. Detective Petrosky is a character whose personal life may be a bit of a mess, however, when he is on a case, he does everything he can think of to solve it. This sometimes gets him in hot water. Is this murder a random attack or is there more to it? Is the killer a vigilante who protects those who need help the most? Will Petrosky and his partner bring the killer in? Read this book to find out. I also enjoyed reading about Petrosky’s partner. She is tough, snarky, and strong. Whatever Petrosky can dish out she can take and has a reply waiting for him. This is a story that is dark and has some twists to it. The story does deal with a sensitive subject throughout the investigation. There are many other characters that are introduced. Some of them are helpful to the detective and his partner, others have their own agenda and plans. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you turning pages and not wanting to put it down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend this book. I also wanted to recommend the entire series. The series is amazing!

A great read about memories. After the events of the last book, Ian was drugged and imprisoned. He is set free and taken to safety but when he wakes up he has no idea who he is. But he must remember, as Kings and enemies grow more powerful and threaten the lives of everyone. Can he find himself again before ti’s too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Ian as a brave warrior but also lost and vulnerable underneath. Great cats of supporting characters like the sarcastic but caring Malaq or the distrustful Krillos. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the icy regions at the start with its sense of beauty and danger, wonderfully written. Or with the memories of Kabri with its sand and sea, full of life and people and bright colours so vivid its as if you’re actually there. A great example of world building with a fantasy world with its own history and geography. I liked the sense of expansion, as the author explores more of the world with seas and ice and mountains, adding things to develop this world further. The first person narrative worked brilliantly to show Ians struggle to find himself again. I also liked the use of suspense, with small details revealed slowly to make you keep on reading to find out what happened. The memories and flashbacks worked well to display what had happened and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. The only issue I would raise is that there were a lot of long sentences that were hard to read which could be reduced with a variety of sentence lengths. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Alice Will is an incredible fantasy novel, written for all ages! It follows the perspectives of seven year old Alice, fourteen year old Trotter and her cat, Prowler, the goddess Miro and the god Stoicese. Full of magic mythical creatures, the story is a tale of one girl trying to save the world before it’s too late. Funny and touching with some twists, this is a book that is hard to put down. I can’t wait to read the rest of the Dreams of Chaos series!

This is the first book from this author I have read and I was very impressed. I like to delve into the world of Gods and Demigods. I found that the author had quite a refreshing idea and story line. I really like it when I find new authors as well as series.
I really found that the characters were well written and that the reader could easily associate to them. Trotter’s character was one that I really was drawn to . I like the fact that she had a cat guardian. I found that I could relate to her as she struggled with her status of being a demigod. The parallel to real life being that one can relate to her struggle for her to relate with her father and then later when she learns the true identity of her mother. I found that the author really balanced the drama in this book keeping the reader glued to the page. I really liked the fact that Trotter was thought to have caused a lot of the troubles unbeknownst to the others it was Alice. I like how the book brings all the pieces together at the end and leaves it open for the series. I will definitely be reading more from this author and series in the future.

Rule is the first book in The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari. I have read several books by this author and have loved every single one of them. I hang my head in shame to say that I haven’t read the Prestian Affair series yet, where we get Chase and Katarina’s story. This is a fact that I must remedy ASAP. There are several interlinked stories going on in this book and it is written from several points of view. The author used this to drive me nuts lol. As when one chapter left you hanging, the next chapter was from another POV and you had to wait to find out what happened next. To be fair, this is a great tactic from the author to keep you gripped to the story and it worked so well. So well, that I was tearing my hair out. In this book Katarina is up against the rest of the Larussio family. Her father has been badly injured in a hit and run and has left Katarina and her cousin Giovanni in charge of fulfilling his dreams, dreams which the family in Italy are against and it is Katarina’s job to convince them otherwise. In a second storyline we get to delve deeper into cousin Giovanni. Gio himself has branched out from the family business and has made himself a very wealthy man. During a flight on a private jet he meets the beautiful Serena and is smitten immediately. However, to Serena, and member of the Larussio family is the enemy and she wants nothing to do with him, even though her body is telling her otherwise. There is also the hint of a 3rd storyline starting and that is between Sheldon (a member of the Prestian security team) and Alexis who is Katarina’s stylist. I’m pretty sure there is a story here that may just make it’s way into a Billionaire’s Bodyguards book. Please, please please!! This book was amazing. It will have you on the edge of your seat with the danger and intrigue and at other time you will be fanning yourself with the steamy, hot sex scenes that Via Mari writes to perfection. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is an absolute fantastic series. There is nothing better than having more than one book available to you for a great series because you can just jump straight into the next book. Meghan delivers stories that will leave your heart beating fast and wanting to turn on every light in the house.
Famished is very very dark and twisted serial killer mystery thriller story that contains very disturbing and extremely graphic scenes and may cause triggers in some. This style of story may not be for everyone and certainly not for the faint of heart. But for all that it is sickening and perplexing, gruesome and in parts repulsive, Meghan did a really good job at keeping me guessing right to the very twisted and creepy end. The story is told in several POV’s and I am still a little confused at some parts but soldiered on. At the end I just sat there and went wow, what did I just read and how do I feel? I still can’t answer how I feel but the story is well written, and the characters are disturbing and damaged, and the shock factor is off the charts.
Conviction An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) is another winner in this thriller series. The angst, the tension, the lies, the fear and the loss is so strong that you will find yourself creeping closer to the edge of your seat and your shoulders tensing with each passing page. The emotions this story provokes are at times overwhelming and the tears flow but you are so glued to the story and what is happening that you can’t break away. If Meghan makes you feel like you are in the story and it is up to you to work out what is going on but don’t be fooled because what you thought you knew may not be as it seems. This is one book that needs to be read with a good strong drink. Good work Meghan.
Repressed is the third book in the Ash Park Series and is another brilliant addition to the psychological thriller series. Repressed is a lot dark and disturbing, a little chilling and super thrilling. Whenever I read anything from Meghan, I know I am in safe hands and always enjoy the fascinating and twisted world in which she weaves. The tension and suspense that built, not only in the story but within myself as I watched what these characters went through was compelling and gripping and had me on edge right the way through. I think this maybe the best book in the series to date. Will they survive all that is thrown at them or give up and give in?
I was so engaged and engrossed in this story that I read it all in one sitting.
I highly recommend this boxset to those who like to read something dark and twisted.

This is the second Book in the series and I thought it was just as good as the first one. I would recommend reading this series in order. Jax Mariln – To Catch a Mariln by TK Toppin is the ultimate blend of sci-fil, mystery, thrill, and romance. Jax Mariin is a vigilante that keeps Special Inspector Michael Pedroni on his toes. The story is based in the future on Earth as well as other worlds beyond. As you read of Jax’s past, the reader can understand why she takes criminal matters into her own hands. Jax is a character I quickly began to fall in love with a strong lead female character. Then the mystery of Jax and Pedroni’s relationship begins to develop. Why is Jax leaving criminals for Pedroni to discover? Why is Pedroni not able to restrain Jax when he had the chance? I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story by TK Toppin and look forward to reading others by her.

Amy’s Santa is the first book in Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation Series by Manda Mellett. I have to say this new generation series is even better than the original. This story grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn’t put it down until the last. Amy coming home after being away so long, and bringing a new man with her really stirs things up at the club. Drew is now the President and he doesn’t know how to take Xander. This story is packed with all the feels. I’m really glad that we get glimpses of the older members. I can’t wait to read more of the Satin’s Devils new generation. Excellent read!

Amy’s Santa: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1 by Manda Mellet was a book I couldn’t put down. I was stuck at home sick while the husband was out of town and I normally have a problem focusing on reading when I’m home alone, but not this time. Not sure if it’s due to knowing the characters and a lot of them I have known most of if not all of their lives or because the story grabbed me from the beginning. I’m leaning towards a bit of both.
Holy cow, Amy is all grown up now and has a life of her own outside of Tuscon. Overall life has been good for her until just recently. Her story broke my heart and brought out the protective Mama in me, luckily she has great support from her friends and family even if she hasn’t been exactly forthcoming with everything.
The more books I read about the Satan’s Devil’s the more in love with everyone I fall. So looking forward to this next generation and their stories.

Eliza was a spunky character read, I loved that she was not a whiny submissive character. Renegade was steam and alpha male energy from the first point of view.

I must start this by saying I was nervous to see a new series based around another series but I shouldn’t have worried as Via Mari knows what she’s doing! We get 4 pov’s in this book, Chase, Katarina, Gio and Serena. We get the same heat and passion as with all her books, but we also get to see more in depth of the goings on inside the family business. I can’t really say much it would give this whole story away, but I will say I loved the news we learn and can’t wait to find the answer to that burning question. I have to say that I was not let down. This is yet another great book from this author and the series. I really like the writer’s style and story line. I found myself lost in the story and felt as though I was right in the story with the characters.
I really like the complexity of Amy and Wizard’s(Drew) relationship. Although I felt Xander’s pain I totally like how the author was able to handle that and build the drama that really made the story. I like how the author brings in the past to shape the future. I found that I could relate to Amy’s character as I have some similarities in my life. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully this series.

Forbidden Love; Written by Lisa Jones Gentry, As Told by Joe Steele was a wonderfully written book. It was easy for me to fall into this story as Joe shared his biological parents’ story. Their love of God and the romance that developed between them was beautiful. I truly felt the emotion behind this story and felt it the entire time I was reading. I loved how the different scenes were organized and dated accordingly. It was easy to know where the story was taking place and also what year. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it.

I give Amy’s Santa: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1 by Manda Mellett, 4 stars.
If you have read the Satan’s Devils books, you will be familiar with Amy and Drew. While Amy has been away at college and then starting a career for herself, she had a dark tragedy happen that almost broke her. But she proves how strong she really is and is still going, with the help of a very good friend. Now it’s time to go back to her family for Christmas. But she doesn’t want her family to know. Then she sees Drew again and cannot seem to keep her eyes off him.
Drew has proven himself and with lots of hard work and dedication, excels in computer sciences and becomes the new president of the club. That is all he as thought about until now. But seeming Amy again, he thinks maybe it’s time to have a woman by his side. Yet she has come with another man. Not to mention the haunted look in her eyes. Can he win her away?
This book is quite a bit darker to me than the other Devil’s books. If you are sensitive to sexual violence, you may not want to read this. That having been said, it is such a good book and I could not put it down. We again meet the characters we have come to love to well. Besides the love and attraction between Drew and Amy, this book is about love and family, and what they will do for another of their own.
If you are a fan of hot MC romance, this book is for you.

Amy’s Santa is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. You can read this story as a standalone, however you’ll feel more connected to the characters if you’ve read books in the previous Satan’s Devils series.
If you are sensitive to descriptions of violence in general, and/or violence against women, you’ll want to read with caution.
I always love to see what this author is going to do with the characters. She tells a great story with real-to-life elements, which make you feel like you are immersed in their experience. I won’t give away the story too much. I’ll say that I felt for Amy. It’s devastating when your trust is violated. I also felt bad for Xander. I mean, I get it, but also……sad. On a lighter note, the Santa hat cracked me up.
Overall, this was a great read. There were light and dark elements that kept the story balanced and entertaining. I’m not big on holiday themed books, but this one was an excellent choice.

Jax Marlin-To Catch a Marlin is a story about overcoming your past. Set in the future, this is the story of Jax-a vigilante, and Pedroni-the Inspector in charge of capturing her. After a traumatic childhood, Jax is determined to right wrongs and make criminals pay. Pedroni is a cop from a long line of cops and just can’t understand why people take the law into their own hands. After much fighting, destruction, and chasing-they realize they are not that different and they’ve come to love each other.
I liked the overall premise, but for me this book was just ok. I’m sure that it’s just a matter of personal preference and others would greatly enjoy the story. 3 stars.

So I really had zero idea what to expect of this novel when I picked it up. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading Ashley Chappell prior but I knew that I wanted to know what happened between the colorful and gripping cover of Alice Will: Dreams of Chaos. This book really sucked me in and took me on an unexpected adventure probably from page one. I have to say that is saying a lot because I normally don’t find books with talking animals very enjoyable. I suppose you could say I am a jaded adult and just seem to not enjoy them. Yall this book took that prejudice and threw it right out the window. I loved how this book played with philosophical ideas and made them fun to read about. I am struggling to find the words to properly describe this book without giving away too much or simply repeating the already existing synopsis. Just prepare to expect the unexpected and get swept away into a world you won’t want to soon leave. I am so excited to get my hands on the next installment!

Wow, where do I even start with this novel, Jax Marlin – To Catch A Marlin by TK Toppin??? I suppose it should go without saying, but the cover to this book is what drew me in. The bright and loud attention grabbing face right there lures you in to find out what this book could possibly be all about. I have never read anything from TK Toppin prior to this so I went in blind solely based off the cover and a few teasers I had come across my feed. I am glad that I did because this novel really sucked me in on an unexpected adventure to the future.
This book really has a bit of everything in it, creating a perfect novel to most people. I loved how the sci-fi futuristic things were not only unexpected but felt very realistic and possible. I found myself feeling as if I was right there in whatever world our author has created for that moment, along with the characters as they experience things first hand. I had not expected it but I loved it. Then throw in the cat and mouse mystery and you literally are on the edge of your seat from beginning to end to find out what will happen and how things will all come to a conclusion. I am so excited to also find out that there will be more, some already available to read, in this series. I look forward to getting lost in them soon and am anxious to find out what else TK Toppin has available to read.

I have never read anything by the talented Raven White prior to seeing Renegade. However, when I saw this cover and read the blurb and a few teasers I knew I had to find out what story this book held. I am glad that I picked it up and will be checking out the rest of the series now as they come. I had a few things that were somewhat confusing while I read this book, but I found that the writing became more structured and easy to follow as the book wore on. This made me struggle with my rating and gave it a good solid four stars. I just would like to see a cleaner flow in the next book so I will keep an eye out for that one.
The storyline is fairly simple revolving around a friends to lovers/ love at first sight concept. It was predictable as far as romance novels go but I don’t think that was the true beauty in this one anyway. The scenes, world-building and the sexy swagger really made this book all it is. I found myself fanning my face several times as I read about the sexcapades our two main characters embark on. Whew! So expect that romance, heat, and kink, to be hot and spicy. Make sure that is your cup of tea before reading as well. I loved this factor, so for me it was not a problem. Like I said this is book one in the Mercenaries Series so there will be more and I’ll be right there for it ready to see what will happen next!

I have always found it easy to fall in love with Judy Moore’s crime and suspense novels every time I pick one up and this one, Somebody in the Neighborhood, is no different from the rest. I loved how this book flowed and kept me guessing all the way up until the last few scandalous chapters where everything falls into place perfectly like a grand jigsaw puzzle.
Somebody in the Neighborhood has us following a young woman named Dawn. We soon find out that her aunt has been murdered and she will be moving into the house she lived in to see if you can find out more information about how and why her aunt had to die. Things get extra dark and twisty as you find out that each of the neighbors are harboring secrets and possibly the identity of the true killer. Dawn will put everything at risk to find the answers. Things move super fast and evolve perfectly in this novel and I found myself done with it way before I wanted to be lol. I can see myself re-reading this one to look for things I might have missed the first time around, and it’s just that good I need more in my life of it. I look forward to seeing what the next intriguing suspense novel we will get from Judy Moore.
