Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio. This is the 5th installment in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series and I would recommend reading them in order. This one is the story of Barbara Knollman a current City Council member in Las Vegas who is running for Mayor with the help of Lynn Fox her Campaign Manager. Barbara is a Demon who has precognitive powers so she sees someone is coming for her and the other candidates and this in turn causes her to be both target & suspect. Enter Liam Collins a Angel who has asked Barbara for her help to stop a Supernatural determined to take control of the Paranormal World no matter the cost. While Barbara is accused of murder she doesn’t really see a way out of helping Liam and there’s also the problem of him being super cute. Sparks fly. The Fisher Men X my Heart by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a brilliant book that will keep you reading to the end. I’m not sure what I expected from this book but it wasn’t what I got. I was intrigued about the story from the start. The description of the book really made me interested in what was going on. I really felt like I engaged with the characters and wanted to find out more about the. As a new author I was excited by the writing style and can’t wait to read more.

The Fish That Climbed a Tree by Kevin Ansbro is a fascinating read. I was not sure what to expect from this book after reading the synopsis but intrigued. I am so glad I did. The story is well told and the characters are great. I was drawn into the story and did not want to put this down. There is so much to say but I do not want to wreck any of the book for another reader. This reminded me of books from Doyle and Dickens but with a modern twist to the story telling. I am so glad I picked this up and will be telling my family about this book. I am still processing the story and so am at a loss for words at the moment. My advice is if you are intrigued by the synopsis then pick this up and you will not be disappointed.

I loved this read! It has everything and more! Ashley Pagano is a new author for me and getting the chance to read The Gauntlet was everything I hoped it would be. I was totally captivated with this reading, I couldn’t put it down. This author has created a well developed and mentally visual read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Ashley Pagano made it even better by creating two brilliant characters that had an undeniable connection from the moment they meet. This is a brilliant fantasy read that will have you wondering what could happen next,its full of suspense, action, adventure, danger & magic but lets not forget the romance.
I highly recommend this read! It is one that shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait to see what else this author brings!

Mia is a typical teen in high school, she has her own group of friends and she has one main passion – cooking. She’s pretty good at it too, good enough to help her parents put at their soon to open restaurant. Plus, on her 15th birthday, her dad gets arrested and she starts being able to talk with a cat! Can said cat (he says he goes by Gumshoe) help her figure out the mystery behind her dad’s arrest or is everything doomed?
This is a great book! I am leery or YA books because I read too many that don’t appeal to me simply because I am long past that age. After reading the description, I had to pick this book up. Mia is absolutely great. She is level headed and really cares about her family and friends. She does all she can for those in her community. Then there is Gumshoe. I can’t say I’ve met a character like him and I am totally in love with him! The story too is quite interesting. You never really know exactly who is behind it or why until the very end. I like mysteries that keep me guessing. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
If you like supernatural mysteries with a great teen lead character, this book is for you.

I just love to find new authors. This book was such a great short summer read. I just couldn’t put the book down. I was drawn into the book and felt as though I was right in the middle of it all.
I really liked Mia’s character. I really like books that are paranormal and especially ones with cats. Gumshoe is a very interesting familiar. I like how the author unfolds the story and I found this book to be a refreshing change from my regular genre. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

A great read about finding yourself. Juliette wakes up from a coma unable to remember the last five years. She learns she was in a horrible accident that also killed her father but she doesn’t remember it. Confused and scared and alone, she tries to cope with loss. But in the end it gets too much and she decides to leave for her home. Will this adventure help her remember or will it just cause more damage? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Juliette standing up for herself but also with her fears and worries underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind and caring Mercedes or the bubbly Nico. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the recurring sunrise over the water in its quiet beauty as a sense of calmfor Juliette with vibrant colours so vivid its as if you’re actually there beautifully written . Or the scenes in Gavins house wirh it’s white walls and large rooms of marble with the island for a sense of luxury but also unfamiliarity wonderfully written. I also liked the sense of the story starting in the hospital, making the reader want to read on to find out why she’s in there. I also loved Juliettes reaction and sense of confusion and anxiety and loss was beautifully written and emotive and powerful. The memories worked well to display what her father was like and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. The switches between perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story but soemtimes the jumps to Sawyers narrative felt discordant and it may have been better just to do It in Juliettes voixe to display her journey. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

An amazing take on cupid! I really enjoyed this story. Its light, quick but still has the air of a romance about not for the main character. Aiko is a cupid, but she has a way of causing teoible wherever she goes. They’ve made many amendments to their laws due to Aiko. I felt for her and that made watching what happens all the better.
This was a great read and I cant wait to read more from this series.

Was so looking forward to the continuation of this series…I love Cade and Lecia and now we add Miles to the mix and a whole lot more family interaction. I love family bonds in my story and this had it in spades.
The heat and strong connection between Cade and Lecia continued in this story, I love the real that is portrayed in this book through this author’s words. These two aren’t perfect, they struggle and they argue and this all feels so so real.
There’s a lot going on in this story and when Cade and Lecia find out that their 7 year old son has a rare disease and also some pretty out there abilities the search is on to try to find him help. On top of all that is going on there is also another side of Miles that is somewhat dark.
This relationship is put to the test in this book, can they work together and stay strong together for their son and what does all of this mean for the successful career that Cade has worked so hard for?
I can not wait for the next book in this series. This is my second read by this author and I’m sincerely enjoying every minute spent reading her words.
Will definitely be following her from this point on.

This was such an enjoyable read, I really enjoyed every minute of it! I do sometimes like to read a YA book, I find them really easy to read and whilst I love angst I also enjoy just a nice simple story that and that’s exactly what I got with this story. It was so refreshing to read – I loved the unique storyline (and who wouldn’t love a story with a talking cat in it?!?) and I really enjoyed getting to know Mia and following her story. For 15 I thought she was a really rounded character, she was kind hearted but had an air of determination about her which I liked. There were some great twists in the story and I enjoyed trying to guess what was going to happen – would Mia finally uncover the mystery surrounding her family? This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author but I think it may be my favourite so far! I thought that this was a really engaging story and I am really looking forward to reading more from the series!

Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio a five-star read you won’t want to jump over. This is number five in the Paranormal Agency series and I would definitely recommend reading the others in order before this one, as it builds to Barbara’s story, we get to see what strings she was pulling, we finally get to pick up on all of the little Easter eggs in previous stories about her power and plans and little nuggets about her, we finally get to see the real character. This really is a great series and this story in particular lets follow the path you finally get to real story, It may be about an election in Las Vegas, but its about so much more.

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio is a short and quick quirky paranormal romance story. This series is unique and original and you really need to read all the books in order. I’ve said it before but I will say it again Heather has cleverly mastered this genre and has provided stories that you just don’t want to put down. There is a well developed plot with twists and turns and Heather’s use of suspense keeps you reading to find out what happens.
Barbara loves the power she has and has forsaken love to get where she is but is she truly evil? Perhaps there is a way she can have it all but can she truly change?
I won’t share any of the details because you will have to read this book to find out but I look forward to reading the next and last book in this series.
This book was awesome! It was one of this books that took me by surprise and I devoured it!! It was refreshing because it was different than the many other supernatural/paranormal books that are out there and it kept me turning page after page. There were all kinds of supernatural creatures in this book and I enjoyed that. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and I would absolutely recommend this book to a friend!

What a wonderful start to a series! This team mystery was intriguing and full of which detail. I loved the characters and especially loved that one of them was a cat with a sassy sense of humor. After reading The Fisher Men x My Heart by Rebel Nicks O’Dey I can proudly say I’m a huge fan of this authors. This was my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last, I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.
I loved everything about this book, from the storyline, the incredible detail and the seamless flow of the story. This story touches on some triggering content, however, this author went above and beyond by adding a forewarning plus she’s also included a way for the reader to be alerted of the scene in order to skip it if need be. This was such an extra touch to the story and it clearly shows how much this author cares.
I would absolutely recommend this book to others, it’s a story you won’t want to miss!

Never Let Me Go by A.M. Myers is the sixth installment of the Bayou Devils MC Series. This story is a suspenseful romance between Juliette Shaw and Sawyer Michelson. Juliette was involved in a horrible accident that took her father’s life and also her memory. She has been in the hospital for last 5 years and doesn’t remember anything before the accident. Once out of the hospital, she decides to leave Miami and go back home to Baton Rouge, but she has no way of getting there. A close friend sets up a ride for and that is where she meets Sawyer. There is an instant attraction between Juliette and Sawyer, although he swore off women for a while. Will Sawyer be able to avoid falling in love with Juliette? As they take their journey from Miami to Baton Rouge, there are obstacles put in their way that will have them in danger. A.M. Myers has written a great storyline that sucks you in from the very beginning. This story can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series from the beginning. I truly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more from A. M. Myers.

MOVES is the first book I’ve read by John Michaels. I picked it up and put it down a few times because of the space I was in; I didn’t feel like reading something I had to put too much thought into.
This is one of those stories that you think you know, you think you know how it is all going to flesh out and while reading, things change – just a tiny bit, but it changes the way you look at things.
This story is told in present and past pov so the story unfolds in a very non-linear way that makes total sense. The writing flows naturally and the character development is on point. This was a real page turner and I will go back and read it again to find the nuances and see if it changes my view point.

This is the second book in the “Moore Family Saga” and I think it’s really important to read the first book to have an understanding of the relationship between the M/m and their families.
ACT II PLAYING WITH FIRE is a very detailed story that contains family “drama”, special abilities, music, sexy times, manipulation and a “free range child”. At times the story is so detailed, that I found myself skimming to find out what was going to happen. I always appreciate the effort an author puts into their work and the author of this book has plotted out an epic tale.
While this isn’t my favorite series of the year, I will read book 3 to find out how The More Family Saga concludes.

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. Ashley Pagano has a way of grabbing my attention and pulls me into her world in which she has created. Once I started the story there was no way that I was stopping. So make sure you have enough time to complete the entire story. The characters are amazing because she does not deal with only vampires or werewolves. There is the full cast of supernatural cast Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Shape Shifters, and Faeries. There is white magic and dark magic and who will manipulate the four elements. Then there is the Soppranaturale Hotel which is not your typical hotel, it holds different supernatural beings that try to keep the magical world hidden from the rest of the world. This world is the best of most book worlds in the supernatural worlds. I can only hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. Happy Reading.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington. This book is one of the most beautiful contemporary romance stories that I have read. It will have you wanting more and not wanting to put the book down…. Be prepared to have a lot of tissues handy because you will definitely be needing them. I truly loved this book and I can not wait to see what else this author has in store for us next.

The Trouble with Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton is a novel in the Madeline Dawkins Mystery. This is a brilliant series that is fast paced and gripping. It was great to be able to get back into the same characters again. It felt like you were just picking up where you left off, it was that easy to slip back into the series. Again I was left trying to figure out what was going on and who was involved. It really was a guessing game and it was intriguing right to the end. This has been such a strong series so far and it is one I can definitely recommend.

The Fish That Climbed a Tree by Kevin Ansbro is a book so detailed and beautifully written that I almost wouldn’t care what the story is, I was just so taken by his way for writing. As it happens the story was brilliantly created that I was drawn in by that as well. This is an entirely new author to me and I have to admit I was a bit conflicted going in to this book. I loved the description and how unique and interesting the story sounded. However I found myself a little put off by the cover of the book. If there is ever a book that the old adage “don’t judge a book by its cover” applies to, for me it is definitely this one. Once you open the pages and start reading you are hooked. The author gives such vivid descriptions that it really feels like you are right there with all the characters. This book is one that definitely needs to be on your must read list this year!

5 Star Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC Book 6) by A.M. Myers
Never Let Me Go is the sixth Book in the Bayou Devils MC and a wonderfully written story that I found myself lost in the pages. I’m a huge fan of A.M. Myers and what’s not to love about a MC? This entire series has been some of my favorites to read .Juliette is a smart woman who can’t remember not only the last five years but the car accident that took her father’s life. So she goes on the run. Sawyer is a protective man and works very hard as a brother with The Bayou Devils. These two meet and there is definitely not only an attraction but a connection as well. What happens when she finds danger ? Is she in trouble? I absolutely loved both these characters. Find out what happens next in this must read book. If you haven’t already read the first five books I recommend reading them as well. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Children of the Future is a novel by Jane Suen. This is my first novel by this author.
In the small town of Rocky Flats, the weeks starts like any other but when 25 students and 3 teachers disappear, the town rallies together to solve this mystery. With help from the bus driver whose name is Telly and another student, follows clues in search of the missing people.
From the title of this novel, I thought the plot had something to do with the future like kids from the future coming to the past for an unknown reason. But the mystery is more than even I thought it was going to be.
The novel started out slow, but it did keep me interested. With the holiday, I wasn’t able to do a binge a read like I usually do, so I had to keep putting it down, but once it got into the story, I was reading it more quickly.
For anyone who wants to interesting and unique mystery, I would recommend.

The Fish that Climbed a Tree is the first book that I have read by Kevin Ansbro, and after today, it certainly won’t be my last. What a surprisingly memorable story this has proven to be, and nothing like I had expected- not that I really know what I was expecting, except to say that the title intrigued me enough to want to find out what it was all about. I discovered along the way that Mr. Ansbro has a very detailed and descriptive style, which showcases his clever and imaginative storytelling. There is a lot going on in this book, in a great way- I was hooked very early on and remain engaged throughout the tale. It’s full of vivid imagery- weaving a tale of life, death, humanity, the afterlife, murder, mystery, violence, friendship, emotion, humour, good & evil, tragedy, heartache, mysticism, faith, love, redemption, history, literary and pop cultural references & icons, and plenty of thought provoking moments. The story is written in such a way that it is entirely realistic and believable- with a touch of the dark and disturbing- this is so much more than just a murder mystery, or a bit of a ‘ghost’ story- and while the story itself is quite intriguing, it is the characters who really drove this story. They are all so well thought out and crafted- they’re fully realised individuals with their own particular quirks and flaws… so well done! This story has stayed with me long after I had finished, I continue to ponder it , and for me that is a sure sign of a great book. Looking forward to more from Mr. Ansbro in the future.

Never Let Me Go is the 6th book in the Bayou Devils MC series by A. M. Myers. Although part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. I had not read any of the previous books in this series before reading this one and I didn’t feel that I was missing out any necessary information. In this book we have the story of Juliette Shaw and Sawyer Michelson. After a serious car crash Juliette wakes up and has lost memory of the last 5 years of her life. She has no idea who the man who is supposedly her fiancé is. She has trouble adjusting to her new life and decides to run away back to where she lived previously. Her friend gets Sawyer to give her a ride back to Baton Rouge. Do you believe in love at first sight? It certainly seems to have struck Juliette and Sawyer. The attraction and connection between the 2 of them is instant. It’s as if they have both found their soul mate. When it becomes apparent that Juliette’s life is at risk, Sawyer and his brothers in the Bayou Devils take it upon themselves to get to the bottom of the story. This story is filled with suspense. It really drags you into the story and doesn’t let you go. The ending – well I certainly didn’t see that coming! This is a fantastic romantic thriller that I’d definitely recommend to others.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington is a contemporary/inspirational romance. This novel is a highly emotional read; recommend a box of tissues and a quiet corner to read to just thoroughly enjoy the entire story and the fulfillment the author provides with their written words that are so touching. There is something deep and soulful about this story that digs it into you and makes it one of those stories that you will think about for days, weeks, maybe even months – one of those stories that you just need to read again because you want to ensure you didn’t miss anything because it was that good. Lori Thomas Harrington is a remarkable author and knows exactly how to bring her stories to her readers and make them unforgettable.
