This quick, fast-paced read had me enthralled from the first page to the last. Just the right amount of spunk, sass, wit, and romance. The story had a great pace and rhythm. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) By Via Mari 4 out of 5 stars
What a way to start a series. Via Mari has always provided engaging, well-developed books and characters and this book is no different.
Jay and Sasha make for one dynamic paring. Sasha is a Russian Ballerina who seems to find herself in the middle of a mafia war where she is pawn. Jay finds himself drawn to Sasha and he cannot seem to put his finger on it, but regardless, he feels that needs to protect her. After he finds out who she really is and why everyone is after her, he doubles his efforts to keep her safe.
This book is both fast-paced and slow burning. I loved every sentence and I cannot wait until book 2 emerges. Highly recommended.

Moves by John Michaels got me with the synopsis and refused to let me go. I knew I was going to like this book almost as soon as I started reading it, what I didnt know was how much I was going to like it. It exceeded all expectations.
There are lots of moving parts and people in this book, at first I was like, anothernew character? How many more will there be? But as I got deeper into the story I realized how important each and every one of them was.
Robert Jake is great but his daughter Rose was amazing, reminded me a lot of both of my girls. She was great at cutting the tension with a quick comment and made me laugh more than once.
This was a great suspenseful experience and I’m so glad I spent my time with these characters. I suggest you give it a read and keep an eye for more books by Mr. Michaels, I hope to see more from him in the future.

Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC Book 6) by A.M. Myers 4 out of 5 stars
It didn’t take me long after starting the Bayou Devils MC series before I realized I loved A.M Myers’ writing. Once I read the blurb for Never Let Me Go, I knew I would have to read book six. While I really did enjoy the book, something felt different to me. I still can’t really put my finger on it but that being said, I really would recommend this book to fellow readers. One thing I’ve come to love from these stories is the depth of each character and the relatability each one offers, despite having such different backgrounds. Never Let Me Go is no exception to this. As always, I’m looking forward to see what other fast paced, original storylines A.M Myers has for readers in the future.

Moves by John Michaels was an amazing book that had me on the edge of my seat. I cannot believe this was his first book, it was a mystery thriller, that competes with top sellers in its genre. In the beginning, it was a lot of characters and stories that didn’t seem to fit together. I love how it was several pieces of the puzzle, and they slowly connected, until it was all one story by the end. The back story and connections with all the characters was done with precision. I was even more impressed that I didn’t figure out the killer until the very end. It kept me guessing and wondering all the way through. I didn’t want to put the book down. Highly recommend it, and hope Michaels continues writing!

Moves by John Michaels is an excellent thriller with amazing characters. I was extremely impressed with the authors writing style and how well the story flows. I could not put this novel down. I was glued to the story from page one. I loved that the main setting was in the Dallas Texas area. John and Jake were amazing and wow how it ended. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it!

Under his watch, he lost 18 soldiers followed by the loss of his wife. His daughter is a little of both her parents, mom’s DNA and his love for flying. So the mystery begins…….

There is no safe place to stop reading. So grab your chocolate, drinks and book. For you are in for the long haul. I love how John Michael’s sets his stage. Michael’s Heart was a 4 star read for me. I have never read any other books by this author and wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were all loved and I feel like they all belonged. Some authors throw characters into the story and they have no purpose. This book has many well liked, well developed characters. Colbie is looking to start up a dream. She wants to build a safe place for women to make life choices that will impact them for the rest of their lives. When she gets a letter in the mail from the staff at Hightower Television Network, her life changes. She nearly died that day while driving to visit her best friend but, she had a guardian angel. From that moment on, everything revolved around him.
When Colbie shows up at HTN for the final part of the contest she meets a few people who will become very important people in her life. The Hightower’s become like family even though they don’t share the same blood. I love how the rare blue forget-me-nots always show up and will continue to show up to let Colbie know she is never alone.

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano is a paranormal suspense. This story offers a strong female lead that is independent and unique in her own rights. The author has created a “world” unlike any other and it’s imaginative, yet feels so realistic at the same time. A great introduction to the series and the possibilities of what is to come further along the line. Despite the limited pages in this first book, Ashley Pagano did an amazing job with character development and the creation of a story line that is intriguing, begging to be read.

The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a contemporary romance. This was a strong story that creates emotional ties with the characters. The author created a layer of suspense within this book wondering which Fisher will become the chosen one. This is more than just a surface level story, but has multiple layers that add to the overall allure and depth of this first book of the series. Rebel Nicks O’Dey has written a story that was remarkable in the way it captured the essence of the character, as well as, leading the reader through the scenes and emotional elements that draw you in. A great story that I highly recommend.

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio was the story in this series that I was most excited to read. Something about Barbara Knollman’s character lurking in the previous books called to me to know her story and what exactly makes her tick. The suspense elements in Jumping the Shark were exactly on point and created an intriguing read while giving more depth for Barbara just like I secretly wanted. This is definitely my favorite book of the series and Heather Silvio wrote a stunning story that added just what was needed in this great series.
The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey 5 stars
This story had me guessing throughout the whole book. And I applaud the author for the forewarning and also the option to skip parts that may not be suitable for those who have trigger warnings and still be able to read this without missing pieces of the story.
I had laugh out loud moments, teary moments and just plain love within this story. I cannot wait for more from this new to me author.

I loved reading the stories in the anthology Irresistible Heroes. They include some suspense and plenty of romance. I found myself pulled into each one and getting lost in the storylines and characters. I love anthologies as they are a chance for me to read stories from new authors. These stories included a couple of authors that I have read books by before. One of the stories that I enjoyed is Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson is an amazing story to read. I loved reading about the characters of Captain Samantha Coldwell and Captain Ben Nash. They both have served their country with honor. When it is found out that terrorists have the facility and Samantha in their sites, Ben takes on the role of her protector. There is an attraction between Ben and Samantha. There are sparks between them. Will those who threaten Samantha be caught? What does the future hold for Ben and Samantha? Read this story to find out. This story at times had me wondering what was going to happen next. It also has romantic scenes and dialogue. Another story I enjoyed was Johnny’s Girl by Cynthia Cooke. This story has the right amount of mystery and suspense that will keep you guessing until the end. There is action as well as romance. Don’t miss out on a group of stories that will have you reading far into the night. Highly recommended.

The Irresistible Heroes Anthology is a collection of fantastic stories but a group of brilliant authors. What drew me to this series initially was the fact that Tamara Ferguson had a story in this collection. She is an author I have become very familiar with over the past couple of years and I always enjoy her work. However what kept me interested was how well written each and every story was. They were all different from each other so there was no risk of becoming bored. And yet they all had the same great appeal in their characters. This is definitely an anthology you should try and a great way to introduce yourself to some new authors.

John Michaels has created a read that is compelling to read, it has an epic storyline and brilliant characters that have depth. I was totally captivated by Robert’s story you couldn’t help but want the best for him after everything he has been through. A great read about mystery. Telly’s usual working week is altered when his school bus of children disappears. With only one child left, Telly panics and starts a search for the other children, one search turns into several as the whole town becomes involved. Can they find the missing children before its too late? A great read, Well developed plot with twists and turns that just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Telly doing his best but with his worries underneath or Billy inquisitive but vulnerable underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the friendly and supportive Ray or the suspicious Steve. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like wit the school full of life and people made eerly empty wonderfully written. Or the clearing under the moon by the lake beautiful but still mysterious with the footprints in the mud. Also loved the small details like the watch and te footprints small but so vivid its as if you’re actually there. I also liked the routine every day feel of the first few chapters contrasting with the unusual mystery of the situation beautifully written. I also liked the use of the days in the chapter headings giving the novel a fast paced feel was a great addition.I loved the use of mystery with suspense drawn out to perfection with details revealed slowly, making you want to read on to find out what happened Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Moves by John Michaels a four-star read that will put the moves on. This is a totally new author to me, I will admit I was entranced by the cover, I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but this one intrigued me, there is a lot going on it looked almost like a puzzle in itself, so I figured why not give it a try and it didn’t disappoint. Robert Jake will make you feel his everything, he is such a well written character that he makes the story, there were a couple of points that didn’t ring with me so I gave it a four, but I am not sure with another reading if this will be re-starred. I have put it on my re-read pile so who knows.

Jumping the Shark is the 5th book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and I thought it was a great read. I was pulled in from page one and it kept me interested throughout the whole thing. This book was about a demon named Barbara and her run for mayor. In her current position she is in control of the paranormal underground in the Vegas region. But a different supernatural won as mayor she could possibly lose that position. On her way to a debate, Barbara learns that the bus she was meant to be on was involved in an accident and no one survived. Was someone trying to kill the people in the running for mayor or was it purely an accident? She decides to work with the Paranormal Talent Agency to try and prove that it wasn’t an accident after all. I enjoyed this book and thought it was a good addition to the series. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
What an action-packed story! I found this was one book that once I started I had difficulty walking away from. This was my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of detail provided in the plot as well as the characters. This YA fantasy is very well written and will captivate audiences of all ages. I truly enjoyed it and will gladly recommend it to others.

The Matchmaker’s Match (Man’s Best Friend Book 3) Written by Nicole Flockton
4 out of 5 Stars
This is my second or third book I’ve read by this author and I’ve honestly enjoyed every exposure to Nicole’s writing as much as the last. The four legged companions in these stories really do make the books!
The Matchmaker’s Match was a fast paced, relatively short read that had my attention from start to finish. Admittedly, I do have a soft spot for stories about one night stands that don’t quite go as expected. This book was a great escape from the day to day grind.
The books in this series can be read as stand alone stories but they really are great stories, you’ll probably find yourself devouring all three pretty close together! I’m looking forward to more to come from Nicole Flockton!

This is one of those fabulous anthologies that introduced me to some new authors and brought me new stories from favored authors. Each story is part of a series and can easily be read as stand-alones.
These are about different types of heroes. Some are obvious, others prefer to hang back.
A few of my favorites:
TWO UNLIKELY HEROES by Tamara Ferguson is a story about the small town of Crystal Rock which is home to a top rehab facility. Suspense, danger, romance and more. I always enjoy stories that come from Crystal Cove!!
SHE’S HAVING A BABY by Suzanne Jenkins is the first book I’ve read by this author and is also the first book of a new series. This book ~SIGH~ is short and to the point and filled with so many emotions that I won’t say anymore because I would give it all away.
This anthology has something for everyone. I absolutely recommend it.

5-Stars
The Matchmaker’s Match by Nicole Flockton is the third book in its series, Man’s Best Friend. It can be read as a standalone novel but features characters from the first two novels. It is a very creative and fun novel. I loved the main characters Linc and Mere. They were entertaining and easy to fall in love with. The author did an amazing job in developing their characters in this story and also did a magnificent job on the supporting characters. I also really enjoyed the various settings and interesting events that occur with the story. This was an excellent read and I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

This book had me hooked from the very first page and I didn’t put it down until the last. I love the mix of suspense and romance. Ms. Myers had me guessing until the end on what was really happening with Juliette. This is Juliette Shaw and Sawyer Michelson’s story. The chemistry and witty dialog between the two is amazing. Wayward is the opening book of Via Mari’s new series called Billionaire Bodyguards. I have read most of her writing and I was delighted to see that she added another exiting and sexy series into the universe she had created with Prestian Series and The Torzial Affair series! You can read this book as a standalone and as an opening to a new standalone series but I recommend also to read the other two series as you will enjoy learning more about the connections and relationships and … Our leading pair is Jay and Sasha – Jay is the head of the elite bodyguard/security team that protects two of the wealthiest men in the world and we met him first in the Prestian series, Sasha is this regal Russian ballerina with unexpected mafia connections that might put everyone in danger … we met her earlier in the Torzial Affair! The writer is sending Jay and Sasha on a journey that leaves us at the edge of our seat, keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed and hoping that Sasha realizes in time who she has in Jay as we all want her to find happiness … and Jay, what an alpha male … can he see beyond the surface and is he strong enough to battle Sasha’s demons … we have plenty of passion and tension and suspense and I cannot wait what the writer has in store next!

Moves by John Michaels is my first book by this author. The summary is what intrigued me the most. The plot line is engaging as it keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. The characters are fully developed and personable. Michaels understands the single parent angle and what I enjoyed about this story is the relationship between Robert and his daughter. Little girls need their dads in the picture and that is what really sold me on the story. Robert has some demons in his closet from the tour in Iraq but nothing like being home and have your wife murdered. Robert has his young daughter to look after and if that is not enough, he will have to be strong for her. Will Robert prevail? Will Robert figure what is going on in time?

I don’t often go for thrillers but I found Moves by John Michaels totally gripping. Michaels sets up a mysterious and intriguing murder right at the start of the book and then launches into several chapters of character development that are seemingly only tangentially related. You KNOW it must all be linked in some way and have to keep reading to get more clues as to how. The protagonist, Robert Jake, is a well developed and interesting character. He struggles with PTSD, depression and grief. He is also a popular radio host and a caring father. We encounter his story, and the stories of those around him, at several points at once as flashbacks and therapy fill in aspects of his past. I also found the character John Assisi quite interesting. We get to see him develop through Jake’s flashbacks and then through his detective work in the present. Jake and Assisi balance each other well and I like the underlying respect they have from the start in spite of a less than friendly initial encounter. For me, this is a five-star book. It’s a real page turner, and one you won’t be able to stop thinking about! It’s great if you’re after a bit of excitement and mystery – thoroughly enjoyable!

The Dreamers Vengeance by Helen Tyree is a brilliant example of a YA fantasy novel. It has a familiar feeling of a YA novel but is also unique in itself. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. The first thing that caught my attention was the stunning cover. I was instantly drawn to it. It was simple yet completely mesmerising. I immediately wanted to know who that person was and what their story was – and I think this fit in really well with the story. Once I opened the book I was drawn in even further. The story was well paced, it was exciting and captivating. I thought the characters were really strong and they each had their own role to play. I thought this was a great way to be introduced to a new author. It has made me exciting to read more of their work and I would love it is we could one day revisit this brilliant world she has created.

Carrie Pulkinen has brought us another amazing addition to this series. Once again, this read is a genre I love so I automatically know that I will be captivated by this read, but Carrie Pulkinen continues to bring us a read that is full of action, romance and adventure. I read this book in one sitting, it had me engaged to no end! It’s a mentally visual read, which makes it even easier to connect with the story and the characters. Odette & James have a chemistry that is undeniable you could help but hope that through their journey in this read that they would get a HEA. This series continues to get better and better, you are launched into a world that you will not want to let go and get totally invested in.
I highly recommend this read, and even more this series! Carrie Pulkinen with has totally invested in her amazing storylines and even better characters!

Flockton has become my most favorite surprise author this year! Her books are super cute, super sexy and so funny! This book is easy to read, even being the third in the series. There are small references to the couples in the other books so you definitely want to add them to your list to read.
The Match Maker’s Match is about Linc and Meredith. They have the same friends but haven’t met each other…yet. When they do meet, it is under such special circumstances that you can’t help but cheer for them both.
The fact that Flockton includes dogs and vets in her stories make them unique and fun to read!

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 2) by Michele Sims. This is the second installment in the Moore Family Saga. I have really enjoyed this series. Its the story of Cade & Lecia, Cade is a up and coming musician and is currently in Paris doing a gig. His brother Vincent back in the states is watching over Cade’s son Miles 7, who is showing signs of being able to to produce fire. Vincent is a member of The Network, a secret society with bottomless resources. He’s determined Miles’s abilities aren’t unique but a rare genetic mutation. Miles is very talented and can show a dark side as well. Cade & Lecia head back to the States to be with Miles when he becomes very ill. Miles gets better but its clear that he can’t continue the way they are. They find a facility for Miles that understands his condition and knows how to take care of him. Will they be able to keep Mile’s dark side from coming out? Will Cade & Lecia’s love be enough to keep them together thru the trials of Miles? Will this ruin Cade’s musicial career that’s just taking off? Read Act II to find out!
