This is the second book in Michele Sims Moore Family Saga and is a truly entertaining read. I would suggest reading this series in order as each new book follows the same set of characters, in order to fully appreciate the storyline, it would be best read in order.
It’s hard to describe this storyline without giving anything away, it’s suspenseful, thrilling and steamy. The storyline itself is both realistic yet also one of fantasy which makes it really intriguing. I was so intrigued in fact that I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop. And I love how this author tied everything together.
I can’t wait to dive into the next book of this saga ASAP!

Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is another phenomenal read in her Paranormal Talent Agency Series! Having read the previous books I can honestly say that they can be read as standalones, however, I would suggest reading them in order as each new book relates to a previous one.
This book and series is one I can and will always recommend, it’s a one of a kind paranormal series with great storylines that will be sure to keep you entertained. There’s honestly nothing to dislike.
It’s intriguing, captivating, detailed, witty and suspenseful, a truly great paranormal read!

Trying to figure out why this is my first book by this author, and deciding that I need to check out what else she has.
This was totally awesome…I’ve read some pretty heavy twisting and turning kind of books lately and when I saw this I had to have it. Picking this book up was one of the best things I’ve done reading wise in a while. It was completely perfect for what I needed. Fun, light, and it had a perfect flow that made it so easy to read in a little under 2 hours.
I love so many things about this book but I think the laws were my favorite especially when they had edits LOL Aiko was completely awesome and I could completely relate to her for some reason, I guess because in a lot of ways I’m a hot mess most of the time and just fell in love with her. So much of her past made me laugh and since this is a series I’m praying she is the star that we are following through this series but her sisters also fascinate me so I wouldn’t be too heartbroken if they got their stories told as well.
I’ll admit the end kind of made me tear up..The whole not remembering after the tether was gone was sad but the ending was still perfection and I can’t recommend this book enough.

The story The Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree is a YA/fantasy book. It is a story that pulls you in and doesn’t let you go until you have finished the final page. The story and the characters come alive and I felt like I was right there with them. There are prophecies, mystery, and conflict. The story had me at times wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Caexia and Aliana. I came to care about Aliana with each chapter that I read. There are other additional characters that are introduced, and each has their own part to play in the story. I enjoyed reading about the interactions between them. Some of them are good and helpful and others have their own plans and agenda. Read this book to find out if a prophecy that is foretold come true. The author has written an amazing story with characters that are unforgettable. It is a book that I would recommend reading.

The story Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson is a book that I loved reading. It pulled me in right from the start and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Stella Rosencourt and Padraig MacNamara. Stella is a hard-working event planner. She puts in long hours making sure that the events she plans go smoothly. She doesn’t have time for distractions. Then she meets Padraig. Padraig is a man who is covered in ink. He shows kindness and helps those in need. After they meet Stella is sure he has something against her. She is also finding herself attracted to him. Is there a future between Stella and Padraig and if so, what does it hold? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Stella and Padraig with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but love reading about their interactions with each other. I also enjoyed reading about the interactions between them and the other characters that are introduced. This is a book that is entertaining to read and one I would highly recommend.

After loving book 1 in the series I was really excited to get started on book 2 and it didn’t disappoint at all! I loved the twists that the story took and I still love Cade and Lecia! The story has a great balance of romance and suspense, I was definitely left guessing a number of times throughout the book and again like with book 1 it definitely left me wanting more! I really enjoyed getting to know Miles more in this story as he begins to grow up – his character is really interesting!! I loved the sense of family in this instalment and just how important it can be to have the support of your family at times. The authors writing is absolutely fantastic, her attention to detail makes the story come alive and I was completely hooked from beginning to end! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to continue this journey with these extraordinary characters!

This is a lovely story about how love can find you when you least expect it.
It follows the story of Meredith and Linc, who meet in a bar and end up throwing caution to the wind and enjoying each others company for the evening. Thinking they would never see each other again but how wrong they were.
Fast forward and they go through a wedding and a up and down rollercoaster while they come to terms with their feelings for each other.

Moves by John Michaels is a five star novel. I loved how this novel took off right away and didn’t really take any time at all to get into the thrilling part of the novel. Everyone in this book are connected somehow and they all let you know in due time how they are all connected. When the district attorney is murdered along with two randomly seeming females, it is hard for everyone to connect the dots but because of who is on the case and his previous brushes with the law, he is able to figure it all out eventually. I loved how this novel really kept me on my toes and made me know that things aren’t always as they might seem and some people can change for the better.

Suen has a gift for writing compelling, thought-provoking tales. This novella kept me engaged and quite frankly kept me guessing the whole way. I found the characters to be relatable, and the plot felt much bigger than the few pages it was contained within. This mystery is one I will most heartedly recommend to others. Just a wonderful book.

The Good Neighbors By Kiersten Modglin is an awesome suspense thriller. This book had me hooked from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down until the last. I love how when I finally thought I knew what was going on there would be another twist would come along. This book kept me guessing all the way through. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Modglin, but it definitely won’t be the last. I can’t wit to get my hand on another book of hers.

The Matchmaker’s Match was a great 5 star read and book three in the Man’s Best Friend series.
We get pulled in right from the beginning with Meredith meeting a man in a bar at the hotel she was staying at. She ends up having a hot and steamy one night stand…We jump ahead one month and Meredith is getting ready for her best friend’s wedding.
When she meets the best man she is shocked to see her one night stand, Linc. Lincoln is equally as shocked to see Meredith at the rehearsal dinner. When Meredith ends up very sick, Linc helps her by taking her to the hospital where they get some shocking news. Lincoln was great, trying to help Meredith.
Can a one night stand turn into an unexpected HEA? Will Meredith get what she’s always wanted?
These two connect on so many levels, you could feel their chemistry coming off the pages. I had some LOL moments at the bantering and we get some steaminess as well. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it can be read as a stand alone. I have plans to go back and read the others in the series and I look forward to reading more from Nicole. 1-click and get started today.

The Girls Across The Bay (Knox and Sheppard #1) by Emerald O’Brien was a pretty okay read that kept me reading and engaged.
I very much got sucked into this book right away, I loved the cold open, and the way the first sister was introduced. We get to see her passion and get some dark back ground on her. Told in duel POV, we actually get inside both of the sisters heads, and I loved that the author choose to go that path. It added a nice layer of complexity that draws you in.
Now, I will say that when the sisters were together I had a bit of a time trying to separate their voices, and inner dialogue. It was hard to keep track of, and I had to do some rereading to get it all straight in my head. The transitions were a little rough, there was no break you could say, thus making the reading choppy and a little disconnecting. Sometimes the best way for transitions is to put a physical break in, like a symbol, to let the reader know that one scene has ended, before jumping into the next. Quick cut jumps only work in TV/Movies.
Other than that, I loved the plot and the mystery. It was compelling, well thought out and entertaining. I loved the sisterly connection and the strong bond they shared. It was for me the true highlight of this suspenseful read. There was wit mixed with darkness, that drives this story, and the tone has a bit of that heart pounding urgency that you can’t help but get addicted to. This book will have you on edge, and have you piecing the clues together with them. I’m fully committed to these two sisters, and I will be checking out more from not only this series, but this author as well.
With that said, this book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series. I have enjoyed this series from the start and recommend reading from book 1 first. This can be read as a standalone book but the backstory to the underlying story would be missing. This book gets finally into Barbara Knollman who is a demon in charge of the paranormal underworld in Vegas for years. She is up for reelection but things are not going as expected. Also, to throw her off even more Liam steps back into her life. He is an angel who has a past with her. I think the characters are fun and overall this is a lighthearted read. Each story is like an episode so there is closure on a primary story but with an underlying story that is carrying through all the books. I have become a fan of Heather Silvio because of this series and am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.
My goodness! ‘Moves’ by John Michaels was by far in my top ten mystery/thrillers of 2019 that I have had the pleasure to read! John Michaels was a completely new author to me, but when the stunning cover captivated my eye I just knew I had to know what story accompanied it. I am so glad that I scooped this up, and I look forward to now getting to read whatever else by Michaels that I can get my hands on in the very near future.
‘Moves’ literally gripped me from that very first chapter and refused to let me go well past my bedtime. I devoured this in one sitting and honestly it was a constant struggle between wanting to drag it out and savor the delight or scramble to finish in order to find out what will happen! Robert Jake is the kind of main character that you fall in love with and feel as if you know in real life by the time you finish the book. This man struggles with the grief and guilt of the loss of 18 of his soldiers while under his command and protection. He is also a single father and the host of a popular radio show. What doesn’t even seem fair is when the murders of two innocent women and the district attorney winds up coming connected to him! What will come of the situation? Will Robert find a way to live the remainder of his days in peace with his past so he can enjoy his future? You have to pick this gem up for yourself to find out. I can guarantee it is one story you do not want to miss!

I must start this review with the preface that I absolutely adore Jane Suen, and so every book of hers until this point has been a hit, 5 stars easily for me. I was a tad let down with ‘Children of The Future.’ Upon further looking at reviews and goodreads I found out this was Suen’s first novel and so things really made sense. This is on par with a first time novel from most authors and in the long run it made things easier for me to digest at the end of the day.
Children of The Future is a twisty and mysterious tale of a small town rocked by the sudden disappearance of a bus full of students and their teachers. All have gone without much of a hint as to where except one, Telly. A strong main character among many I still struggled to find his voice in this. The bus driver, also spared from the mysterious disappearing act, teams with Telly, the parents, and the police to try and figure out what happened and how to bring home the children. The trail is complicated and a tad slow, but intriguing enough to wonder what is going on and keep reading. Just as it seems they may have figured things out Telly disappears and even more shocking twists arise. Overall the ending seemed to round out the story and left me for the most part satisfied. While this isn’t a strong five star read for me I enjoyed it enough to give it a solid four stars. I look forward to seeing what else is available, as we await new stuff, from the talented Jane Suen.

The Matchmaker’s Match is the third book in the Man’s Best Friend series, and a wonderfully written story that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. I’ve read the other two books in this series but this one is my favorite. I love the characters of Meredith and Lincoln aka Linc. Meredith is a woman who has new goals in life and she plans to achieve them.Her past relationships didn’t work out so well.ILove her attitude and she’s a strong intelligent yet independent woman. Linc is a military man,who has made some bad choices until he met Meredith. These two have instant chemistry. There is definitely an attraction towards each other. Wayward by Via Mari is an excellent start to the series Billionaire Bodyguards. It is a story of romance with a little mafia/bodyguard mixed in the story. I have read other books by Via Mari and I have enjoyed those stories, so I thought I would pick this one up. I am glad I did. Her writing style is very descriptive and the characters will become part of you as you read through the story. This story is about Sasha, a Russian Ballerina who is in the US on an extended visa. She is well known for her dancing abilities, but she has secrets she does not want the public to know. Then there is Jay, who just happens to security detail for two wealthy men in the US. Jay is drawn to Sasha and does not know why exactly, as he has never felt this way before. What if anything will come of Jay and Sasha? Will Jay be able to protect his clients and will Sasha be able to let Jay into her secrets? You have just read this book for yourself to see what happens to Sasha and Jay.

The Girls Across the Bay by Emerald O’Brien if the first book in the Knox and Sheppard Mysteries series. This is an intriguing book that will keep you guessing right to the very end. From the moment I read this story I was hooked. I wanted to know what was going on and how everything was going to connect. I found myself trying to guess what I thought the outcome would be – I can definitely say I was wrong! I also felt that the book had really strong characters. Madigan and Grace were such strong characters that, for me, they definitely carried the whole book. They had such a depth to them and I really felt like I connected with them both immediately. My only niggle about this book was that it would have been nice to get fewer descriptions of the characters thoughts. Although I am one of those who absolutely loves to be able to get inside the minds of the characters I do also like to be given the chance to “fill in the blanks” so they say. I had such a strong sense of personality with the characters that I don’t think so much input was needed from the author. However, this didn’t put me off the book at all – it was just my personal preference of how I like books to be constructed – and I will certainly be reading more in this series.

Well this novel certainly plays with your mind your always left questioning thing’s but that’s why you end up being so eager to turn the page’s you just want to find out what is happening! The author has a magical way of pulling you in with the first few pages and then building up the story just enough to keep your on your toes within just afew chapters as well as the character’s you really get to know them just within a short time absolutely beautifully written! I really did enjoy this mystery read your trying to come up with theories while your reading which I find fun especially when you realise you were completely of track Haha!

I am not a huge reader of paranormal books but the blurb of this book sucked me in. A Deal with Death is my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last. This book is about Odette who is one strong woman who every time she falls in love her mate dies. Once she gets reaquainted with James who she knew from school things start to change. James being a werewolf knows that she is his mate but can their destiny be any different than the her past soulmates? This book was a very good read and kept my interest for the entire book.

Meredith just got out a bad relationship. She decided she doesn’t need a man in her life. However, she sees a sexy man during her layover and decides to go for it. One night stands are not her thing, but it could help get over her ex. Never in a million years would she guess that same man she met in another state would be best man at her best friend’s wedding. And somehow she keeps running into him. Just when she has her life figured out, the powers that be seem to work against her. Is he what she really needs or just another wrench in her plan? And what does he want?
This is a great addition to the series. To be honest, Meredith annoyed me in the beginning of the book. But that is the point and she grows exponentially throughout the book. Lincoln has been a bachelor for so long and has no interest in having kids, but he startd to see things differently when he meets her. He changes in his own way too. The story of the two of them is quite interesting and very realistic. Throw in the dogs, and it gets even better!!
This is a contemporary romance revolving around therapy dogs and I highly recommend it.

A great read about change. Barbara Knollman is getting ready for the electoral campaign for mayor. However, things are turned on a head when a bus carrying the candidates to a venue is involved in an accident. With only one other candidate alive, Barbara grows suspicious. Can she prove that he did it before its too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Barbara determined but with her doubts underneath. I loved how she was given her time to shine in this novel as a main character instead of on the sidelines. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind Liam or the concerned Lynn. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with Barbara’s house with its comfy chairs and tables, using small spaces for scenes of tension and conflict perfectly written. Or the scenes with the accident with the wrecked bus and blue lights so vivid its as if you’re actually there. Once again, a wonderful example of world buidling with fantasy creatures coexisting alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. A wonderful example of building upon the sequel with more fantasy creatures such as angels and demons and archangels true to their origins and given the respect they deserve. I loved the idea of them having powers and that angels could be ordinary people instead of being descended from gods as usually seen in fangasy novels. The combination of the demons of fabtays and realism of politics made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars

Can she do it or run from fear of her powers? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Odette standing up for herself but vulnerable and afraid underneath or James determined and cocky but kind and caring underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the fun friend Natasha or the no nonsense Noah. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the house with its bright pink walls and little windows, inviting and welcoming but still large enough for a sense of unease with empty rooms wonderfully written. Or the use of colour throughout in the small details like the purple veve scarves and the cards for a splash of colour in a harsh world around them. Or the use of the senses with the taste of rum or the smell fot he forests later on so strong its as if you’re actually there. A wonderful example of world building with this magical society coexisting alongside humanity with their own laws and rules. A wonderful example of building upon the sequel with added fantasy elements such as ghosts and priestesses and fortune telling and the Rougarou later on. I also loved the sense of culture this novel includes with the voodoo and its Haitain roots with tis gods and rituals and offerings, giving it an unique flavour to draw readers in and a sense of community between characters and loved the inclusion of its language and terminology which was a lovely touch. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles By Autumn Sand. Ahhh this author just gets me! I absolutely was entranced by this story, the characters are complex, relatable and simply put just amazing. From page one I knew I’d be reading this in one sitting because I wouldn’t be able to put it down and I was right! I felt a huge draw to both Tallie and Raymond they just spoke to me more than some characters do. I’ll definitely be thinking about them for awhile. I highly recommend starting this book when you have time because you will not want to put it down. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 2) By Michele Sims. Once again this author pulls me in and won’t let go. From an interesting storyline and amazing characters I was hooked. Readers are taken on quite to adventure with these characters. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that comes alive before your eyes. I liked this one a little more than the first but they are both awesome. Lecia and Cade are just unforgettable characters but all the characters it this story are also incredible! I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

The story The Girls Across the Bay (The Knox and Sheppard Mysteries Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien is a wonderful mystery book. I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. It is a story that had me turning pages in order to find out what happens next. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Madigan Knox and Grace Sheppard. They became sisters when they lived in a foster home and a strong bond formed between them. They live through a nightmare and then they are split up. Years later they are reunited in a small coastal town. When a young woman is found dead Grace is the one that investigates the crime. What happens next opens old wounds and secrets are revealed. What happened to the young woman who was found dead? Is the bond between Grace and Madigan strong enough to withstand the rumors and secrets? How much danger are Grace and Madigan in? Read this book to find out. This is a story that takes you on a journey that keeps you guessing. The book has scenes that are intense. There is suspense and mystery. I grew to care about Grace and Madigan with each chapter that I read. They had been through so much and I couldn’t help but have empathy for them. There is also emotional moments and dialogue. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you on the edge of your seat. It is a story I would highly recommend reading.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I found her writing to be creative as well as, well developed characters. I was pulled right into the story and felt as if I was part of it. They took me on a magical journey of fantasy that the characters intertwined with each other. It has just a little bit of everything in it from romance to action. The Dreamer is my favorite character with superpower and an innocent side too. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book. I was pulled right into this story and sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters as they were supportive to each other as well made me feel part of the story. Madigan and Grace were in the same foster home growing up. Now as adults their past is about to collide with their present. What happens when you can trust no but each other? The twists and turns involve suspense and murder, you don’t want to miss this book. A must read.

There is something for everyone in this book. I found my favorites and a couple of new authors as well. Two of my favorite stories: Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes which is about Captain Samantha Caldwell. While she was in Iraq, she killed a terrorist leader but now that she is back home, she may be a target. She’s Having a Baby: This is about unexpected changes that happen during fire season. All have great characters that are strong and pull you into their stories. A must read anthology.

A Deal With Death is the fourth book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series. You can read this as a standalone, but all of the books in this series have been stellar so you’ll probably want to read them anyway.
I have always loved a story with Voodoo components, and this one has a great foundation. I also loved the way the reincarnation aspect is woven in. This story caught my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through. The characters are vibrant and come alive on the page making you feel like you are in the story.
Murder. Romance. Spirits. Destiny. It’s a wonderfully written tale of the paranormal variety! ?
