Spar is the first book I read by Randi Perrin. Perrin does an amazing job keeping my interst going through the entire story. It was a fast read with interesting characters.I liked Chloe from the start. She is a vibrant soul. There are some issues that if you want to get close to her you will have to break down some walls that were built up. There is a lot of twists and turns but I know I loved the ride this book sent me on. I will be looking for more books by Rani Perrin in the near future.

Turning the Tide (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 5) by Phoebe Alexander 4 out of 5 stars Phoebe Alexander is a fantastic author. She never ceases to amaze me. This fifth installment in the Eastern Shore Swingers series takes a different turn from the previous books. *Caution to the tender hearted, while this book does not deal with physical abuse, it does discuss emotional and verbal abuse and I can understand how that may be a trigger for some people so if that is you, please read with caution.* This book takes us on the journey on Luke. Luke has not been physically intimate with his wife in a long, long time and to make it worse..she is emotionally and verbally abusive. Luke has lost love. Barbara is little more than a master trying to control a servant. Luke’s friend Cap convinces him to take a trip down to The Factory, an exclusive club he owns with his friends, to try to take his mind off of his problems and to see if he can “work out” some of his frustrations. While there Luke meets Conne, who is the spark to his dying fire. But when Barbara, Luke’s sad excuse for a wife shows up and starts to cause trouble, things turn from Hot and Steamy to Drama and Suspense in a heartbeat. I loved this book. The banter between Connie and Luke, the new dynamic of the relationships and the new topics and subjects that Ms. Alexander addressed with some very unconventional characters. I loved this book and series!

Kelly Mooney has written a stellar second book in the Dirty Rooster series. This particular one centers around Eli who we learned a bit about in book one. This can be read as a standalone without being super out of the loop about any characters. that being said, I highly recommend book one. Eli has fought for everything he has in life and even though he hates his home town and never wants to go back, his dead beat dad got out of jail and Eli has to protect his siblings. He never expected his little sister’s best friend to run out on her wedding and come to him. They’re too different and it will never work. But her pull is too strong and Eli knows he will never let her go now. Between fighting for the woman he loves and trying to pull his little brother Brandon out of the poverty of their childhood, Eli needs to keep his wits about him at the worst possible time. Kelly Mooney is fantastic at putting you right in her characters heads and after reading both this and the first book, all I can say is that I hope this series continues.

I’m typically not a fan of “western romance” or cowboys (probably because I’m a city girl at heart and it is like reading a foreign language) but I decided to take a chance on this 2 story collection. I’m glad I did, because I found both stories enjoyable.
I’m not sure what the connection is between the two authors but for as much as their writing style was similar, it was also very different. Both stories had lovely main characters with backstories that made them be who they are today. Both stories had strong women who weren’t afraid to be a woman in a “man’s world”.
These stories have surprise and tenderness and romance and sexy times. They also had miscommunications and angst and everything that makes a romance fun to read.
Side note: When I read the blurb and there was mention about taking stock to market, I was thinking the “financial market” I was wrong. Hehe
I will be reading stories by both of these authors in the future and recommend this collection.

Hawke was an exotic, romantic, erotic, and action packed novel that was addicting from start to finish. Word of caution though it does have mention of rape, a use, alcohol abuse, and drug addiction in the storyline. Hawke comes from a brutal past but has turned what he knows into something productive. Through his BDSM club he opens he is able to find an outlet that is until Charlotte sets him into a tail spin. Her character is a blessing and the affect she has on Hawke was astounding. The two characters changed quite a bit as the story progressed. Also the serial killer really surprised me. I mean wow! Totally not what I was expecting. This novel was amazing and I loved everything about it. I highly recommend it!

Little Miss Eyes of Blue is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte written by Holly Tierney-Bedord, but with that being said, I think you could read them in any order.
I already loved reading about Veloura’s journey in the previous book, but to go back to the beginning and see what she goes through gives you a mixture of emotions. You can understand more now the reasons why she is how she is, but after reading this you want to go back and re-read the previous book just so you can let that one sink in even more and get to love Veloura all over again!
I was drawn in with this story and found myself not wanting to put it down. It was captivating and was written brilliant by Holly Tierney-Bedord, she never fails to write an epic book, that’s entertaining, flows from chapter to chapter and creates brilliant characters. I totally recommend this read, you won’t be disappointed by it. Don’t Miss it!

This was a fantastic read i enjoyed every second. The story is a lighthearted one but still packs a punch, it’s one of those novel’s you can sit back with a glass of cheeky wine and just get lost amongst the pages. I love a novel with humour there’s nothing like laughing out loud or smiling while reading as it really take you away from reality and any troubles you may be facing it’s a wonderful escape. This can be read as a standalone but i do recommend reading the first two first just so you can get to know the family more plus they are just as amazing as this one!

Reset To One by Heather Silvio is the second book on the Paranormal Talent Agency series. While these books can be read as stand-alone’s you do get characters recurring throughout, so reading throughout will help give you the full experience. This book is a fun and entertaining read. The kind of book you start reading a few pages of to suddenly realise a few hours have passed and you have finished 6£3 book. It is entertaining and amusing with great characters and a great plot. The added bonus of the paranormal angle only serves to makes this book more enjoyable. This series is the first I have read by this author and so far I am thoroughly enjoying her work. I cannot wait to read more.

The story Hawke (Men of Syn Book 1) by Anise Storm is a book that had me hooked from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Charlotte Maxwell and Nathaniel Hawke. Charlotte is a woman who is determined to be independent. She runs her own business. She realizes that her latest client is someone from her past. She finds him handsome however also if asked she would say he is rude and arrogant. Nathaniel is a man with a dark past. He also can’t stop thinking about Charlotte. She is different, makes him feel different. He knows that his wants her, he tries to keep her at arm’s length. Charlotte is determined to prove to Nathaniel that there is something between them. What does the future hold for Nathaniel and Charlotte? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are some very steamy scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise. There is also some moments that are suspenseful and had me wondering what was going to happen next. This is a book that you don’t want to miss out on. The characters are well-developed. I came to care about Charlotte and Nathanial with each chapter that I read. This is a story that I would recommend reading.

I enjoyed this second chance story. One thing I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into her stories right from the start, this one is no different. Sam and Cole have always had feelings for each other when they were growing up. With a relationship being a no no they both kept feelings to themselves. Now, years later, one night, one kiss could change everything for them. Will they get the HEA they deserve? Great characters, emotional ride, I highly recommend this book.

This is a second chance story that has a few twists and turns that keep the story engaging. Garrett and Hope met one night only to meet once again a few years later. What will happen when they come face to face again? I enjoyed both characters and the suspense and the lurking danger they bring to the story. Their chemistry is great and strong. I found myself hoping that they make through together at the end. I highly recommend this book, I can’t wait for the next one in this series.

I loved this book! It has a little bit of everything in it from hot, steamy situations to suspense to just an awesome story line. I loved how I was pulled in from the start and made to feel as if I was part of the story. This is Hawke and Charlotte’s story. He is dominant and hard headed and she has a determination to go after what she wants. Together they are steam but will they be able to overcome demons and realize that love is possible? You don’t want to miss this one. A must read book!

Tierney-Bedord is a masterful wordsmith. She has put to paper a tale with such depth…no words. Her characters jump off the pages. They are written masterfully, with extremely thoughtful detail, down to the in depth character study provided to the reader. The plot moves flawlessly and I found myself reading as fast as I could in order to absorb this well crafted treasure. I loved this book from beginning to end. Just fantastic.
Ok I believe this author is running up the charts for me. Quirky – check. Funny – check. Suspense – check. Thriller – check. This book had a bit of everything and just really was extremely well written. I couldn’t put it down for trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Between laughing out loud or gripping the book tightly, I believe I experienced most available emotion to me. Just extremely well written and extremely enjoyable. I look forward to reading many more books from this author. What a delight!

Amman continues to leave me breathless with her wide array of books and characters. I cannot even begin to explain how much I enjoyed this book. And truthfully I don’t even know how to put into words how much I enjoyed this book. Amman has an innate ability to engulf the reader into her imagination and develop a new world with complex characters and themes that challenge you to consider lines between good and evil, right and wrong, black and white. I truthfully wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this book up. But truthfully it is best with a book like this to pick it up with a blank slate. Thank you Ms. Amman for sharing this amazing treasure with your readers. It is extremely well written and just a delight to enjoy.

Happily ever after – check. Forbidden love – check. A whole lot of steam – check. This was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I always love finding new authors to read and new series to dive into and this hit both right out of the ballpark. The characters were well developed and felt very relatable to me. The plot flowed seamlessly. I found myself entranced immediately and had a hard time walking away until I had read the last page. If you like romance and HEA, you need this book in your life. I am a sucker for a fairy tail and even more so for a new take on a classic. This book was an enjoyable take on one of my favorites. I felt that the tale took some nice deviations from the original and yet stayed true to its roots. Who doesn’t want to have their happily ever after? All in all, this was a sweet adventure and perfect for a cozy afternoon.

This book has it all. Romance, drama…you name it. This second book in the series doesn’t disappoint AT ALL. I really love the author’s voice and writing style. The characters are real, gritty, relatable. This book hooked me on the first page and didn’t let go. I enjoy books that immediately transport me into their world and I feel as though I am walking alongside the characters – this book absolutely did that for me. Well written.

Van and Valencia are the perfect kids for their parents. Their younger sibling overlooked except by Val. Van and Valencia die in a car crash on their way home from college for Thanksgiving. Everyone’s life is changed.
The story flashes back between the present and the past. As I write this review, I can’t tell you the main character’s name, because I don’t believe it is every mentioned in the book. Which makes sense considering how she feels invisible all the time. That’s actually pretty brilliant!
The story is good, but I felt some of the flashbacks were not necessary for the book and made it feel slow to me. Things picked up for me when the envelopes started showing up. I found myself getting aggravated with her because she comes across so wishy washy and she is always giving into Adrian and never seems to stand up for herself. Until the end of the book, then I cheered for her.
When her past comes back to haunt her, and Adrian, things get really interesting. I would have liked to have seen more emphasis on this. While the ending does make sense with the way the book went, you still can’t help but want to see a tearful reunion. But, like I said, the ending actually makes sense.

The story Garrett (Dark Water Security Book 2) by Madison Quinn is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. It is a book that has mystery and romance. There are moments that made me sad and others that warmed my heart. My emotions went up and down all through the story. I loved reading about Garrett and Hope. They had met before. He had felt a connection to her. He awoke to find an empty bed. Now Garrett and Hope meet again. The connection that he felt is still there. Hope however seems to be hiding something, refusing to talk about the night they spent together. Will he find out why? Garrett is protecting his boss who has been threatened. He will protect Hope as well. Will he be able to keep them both safe from harm? What does the future hold for Garrett and Hope? Read this book to find out. This story has emotional and intense dialogue. Hope and Garret are both character that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. They deserve happiness and I was rooting for them to find it. The story has steamy and romantic moments. It also enjoyed reading about many of the secondary characters that are introduced. This is an amazing second book in the Dark Water Security series. Highly recommended reading.

I was so excited to read the second book in this series after absolutely loving the first one and I wasn’t disappointed! Again the author captivated by this funny, romantic paranormal tale with wonderful characters. I loved the mystery that run through the story and that had me constantly guessing what was going to happen. It was nice to see Evie get her own story after we met her in the first book and I loved seeing the other characters pop up as well. This book can be read as a standalone but I would also recommend book 1 also as it is a great read! This might be a short read but there is certainly nothing missing in it. The author has developed the characters really well and it was a pleasure to read! I am really looking forward to reading book 3 in the series!!

Spar was a really great read from Randi Perrin. It was a well written contemporary romance about some really nice characters that I enjoyed reading about. I remember seeing the front cover for this book and having made up my mind about what I thought the story would be about – I was pleasantly surprised about how wrong I was! I love with when stories take me by surprise! I really liked Chloe, I thought that she was strong, independent person – she knew what she wanted to achieve in both her personal life as well as her professional one. Locke is one of those characters you instantly feel drawn too. I love the chemistry that they had and really enjoyed reading about their relationship – the highs and the lows! I will admit that reading stories written in the third person isn’t usually my favourite to read however this author does it very well! Spar is a fantastic story that I highly recommend!
Surviving Valencia by Holly Tierney-Bedord 4 Stars
This is a story about a girl who lives in the shadow of her sister, struggling to find her self worth and become someone. Growing up in a household with her older siblings Van and Valencia was hard. The twins were practically perfect. Van the jock and Valencia the cheerleader. Both were vivacious, friendly and popular. She was the complete opposite. She was bland, introverted and had no friends. Her parents practically ignored her. She was invisible. Valencia was the only one who saw her. She was twelve when they died. Her life was forever changed. Somehow seemingly impossibly, it got worse. Her parents took their anguish out on her. They yelled at her, grounded her or ignored her. All she ever wanted was to fit in and be accepted.
The book is written from the first person point of view which allows us to fully understand what she is feeling. Never once throughout the book do we learn her name. I think the author was smart in doing this. It adds to the main character’s unremarkability. Her whole life is dedicated to living vicariously through others and not making waves. It is a sad story of a depressed woman living in the past and struggling to deal with specifically the loss of her sister.
This book was cleverly written with many twists and surprises that you never see coming. This is definitely not a joyous story with a happily ever after ending. It is a book with much deeper meanings, showing how death affects everyone differently. The author shows how one event can change your life drastically. It was a gripping tale of self discovery.

Surviving Valencia By Holly Tierney-Bedord. I was definitely hooked on this incredible story from page one. I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved this story, I knew going in it sounded good but it was definitely much more than “good”. The author takes readers on quite the emotional mysterious journey the characters take in this story. I had moments where I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough for my liking. Each character brings something unique and different to this story. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. At times I was on the edge of my seat and the only thing I didn’t like is that it had to end. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend also!

Ok so I’ll start this with how much I love this author and this series, but this one in some ways is not my favorite so far…I’m not sure what it was, I can’t put my finger on why it felt different but I wasn’t as hooked on this one as I have been the others. Now in saying that, I loved Loved Loved the characters in this book. Tess had been through H*** in her life and watching her come through that because of the love of a good man who also had his own demons to fight was awesome.
I loved Todd, and he made me smile often, and I loved that the ongoing story still continues and can not wait for more of what is happening, the twists and turns are always placed perfectly and I love that all my favorite characters from earlier books are still mentioned and always there.
Can not wait to see how this author takes this story next and I’ll be the first in line to read more.

This is my first book from this author and I found it to be easily read, relatable, and emotional. The backstory for each character was thoughtful. The characters faced trials that felt authentic. I felt that the story moved at a good pace and the characters were well developed. Overall an enjoyable book. I look forward to seeing how the series unfolds.

My heart breaks every time a child gets separated from their mom. The author has struck again with the witty text and emotional luggage. I get the appeal of this story. We all want to know what happens after we’re gone. This just goes to show you that we all need a little faith and hope. Kitty was an interesting character. I don’t understood the need to change their appearance or to get something they always wanted. The author finds a great way for you to see the humor in this awful situation. These stories keep getting better. I hope the finally book is either them getting their lives back or something else grand because there has to be a light at the end of all this. A reason for it all. 5 Star The Reason Why By Izzibella Beau is a wonderfully written Book that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. I had to know what happens next. I honestly felt at times like I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Get ready to be taken on a emotional rollercoaster ride with this story about a girl whose life has been uprooted. Alabama is sent to stay with her mom’s best friend..What happens next.?I highly recommend reading this Book especially if you want to see what happens next. Fortitude by Carrie Dalby is a coming of age story. This story is set around 1898 featuring Claire, a young woman on the verge of changing her life forever. So many choices at a young age that seem beyond our grasp of understanding today. There was a lot of self discovery within this book, along with growth of the character. Carrie Dalby created vivid imagery in relation to the character and the events that were going on during this time frame.
