Spar by Randi Perrin is a great contemporary romance with captivating characters and an interesting story. I will admit I didn’t quite know what to expect from this cover – for me the blurb and the book cover didn’t match up. But I have to say that just made it more exciting as I felt like I was going in blind and was swept away by the story. The characters had depth to them which made it easier to feel connected to their journey. Randi Perrin is a new author to me but I liked the way she crafted this book. It was fast paced and always interesting. I will be checking out more of her stuff for sure.
This was a lovely novel which i was drawn too amd I’m so glad i was, once i started reading i couldn’t pull myself away it held my attention throughout. I love how i felt like i was there alongside the character’s and how well developed the character’s are so much chemistry between them. Your taken on a magical emotional rollercoaster one that will also have you completely captivated. Brilliant story loved every second can’t wait to read more.

Flesh and Bone (Blood of Kaos Book 3) by Nesa Miller 4 out of 5 Stars This third installment in the Blood of Kaos Series is seriously heart pounding. This paranormal, mystery, thriller and romance novel will have you turning the page as fast as your fingers can flick them. Dar and Etain are some loveable characters who you become fully engrossed into. Dar is an interesting character. Very strong and very independent by Etain is by far my favorite. The details of this story where phenomenal. I loved falling into this story and I loved the world that Ms Miller created. I highly recommend this book for lovers of the paranormal and fantasy genre, but even those who love action and adventure will love this book. Highly recommended.

“Never trust a stranger-friend No one knows how it will end As you’re pretty, so be wise Wolves may lurk in every guise…”
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Wolf is the third book in the Fairy Tale Series by Jody Lynn Daniels. It is a second chances romance, with a military aspect to the story, as well as finding love where you least expect it. Maggie never expected to have to face the man who she blames for her husband’s death, ever again. She can’t and won’t ever forgive him. So, when she’s forced to spend the next two weeks in his company, she expects it to be quite difficult. Carson (The Wolf) was Maggie’s husbands commanding officer, but also his best friend. He was hoping Maggie would have let him explain, but she never wanted to listen. Will two weeks change anything?
“The look Maggie gave me hurt worse than the slap to the face, which still stung pretty good. She still blames me for Sean’s death, which she might change her mind if she’d let me explain. But she’d made her mind up years ago and wouldn’t speak to me again about it, there was no talking to her.”
This is a modern take on the popular fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood”. I am definitely going to go back to read the first two books now, too. I enjoyed the story and the author’s writing style which is descriptive and detailed. There was a lot of emotion infused into the storyline- and I really felt for the character’s and what they had both been through. Maggie and Carson were wonderful, and I was cheering them on the whole way. I loved Abby, she is great- everyone needs an Abby in their life- funny, thoughtful, caring, and loyal. A great read!

Hell On Heels is the first book in the PJ Santini Series by Lynne Russell. It is a private eye mystery which drew me in from the beginning. Ms. Russell is a new to me author, and I have enjoyed my first foray into her work. The fast pace, danger, suspense and humour made for an intriguing read. We meet PJ Santini who is a smart, independent, witty, stubborn, and inquisitive television news reporter who moonlights as a private eye. She loves the chase of a good story and digging up the truth. We follow her on her latest investigation/assignment . And there is also a bit of a love triangle of sorts, which adds to the overall storyline. The characters were all really well crafted, even the secondary characters held their own in this story. There was edge of my seat moments, as well as some funny scenes. I have already jumped into book #2, because I want to know what PJ gets up to next!

Me and Cinderella is the second book in The Dirty Rooster Series by Kelly Mooney. It is a contemporary romance with drama, humour, secrets, angst, funny banter, family ties, chemistry, and a sweet romance. Eli had a difficult childhood, but has worked hard to make something of himself. Back in town to take care of his little brother, he doesn’t expect to see Remington (Remy) again. But fate has other ideas. But as they both come from different sides of the tracks, what chance do they have? What happens next makes for a great read and kept me entertained the whole way through. The character development was fantastic, and they were very easy to like. I loved the banter between them, and the family ties that were an important part of the story. A sexy and emotive book!

Hate to Love You is the first book in the Baker’s Bunch Series by Lily Ryan. It is a contemporary/ new adult romance story with a brother’s best friend- forbidden romance theme. Cole Andrews and Samantha Stone share a history, growing up together- she is his best friend’s little sister, and completely off-limits. But a passionate night together changes everything, and a secret relationship begins. What happens if their secret is revealed? Do these two really have a chance at a future together? What about his friendship with her brother? This was a well written and engaging story, if not a little predictable. This angsty story really had me rooting for Cole and Samantha, and I really wanted them to find their HEA, together! I have enjoyed Ms. Ryan’s easy to read writing style and look forward to her next book.

Don’t Let Me is the first book in the Simplicit Duet by Marie Skye. I fell in love with Ms. Skye’s work while reading the Incapable Series, where her books branded themselves on my soul, and have read every new release since then. I had been anticipating this book for a while now, so I was really excited to finally have it in my hands. I had no doubt that this book would be every bit as good as Ms. Skye’s previous ones, if not better- so I couldn’t wait to dive in. I am happy to report that this story is all that I could have hoped for, and more…… it’s delicious- completely addictive and different from her other books. It’s quite intense and emotive, as we have come to expect from Ms. Skye- but is one of those books you come across from time to time where you get so caught up in the story that when the end comes you flick over the page hoping to keep reading, wanting desperately for the story to continue, all the while thinking “what, wait- what the hell did I just read?” Well, this is one of ‘those’ books! I need that second book Stat! That ending- OMG!!! Do yourself a favour and grab a copy, you won’t regret it! Highly recommended reading! Bring on Book #2!!!!! Brilliant!

Oh my goodness, when I read the last page I wanted to go right back to the first page and start again…This was an amazing story, written so beautifully and …Oh my heart!!
I literally could not put this book down, and I want more from this author…Not even going into the biography I read and just mentioning the writing…Oh my…Simply beautiful that’s all I can think to say on that.
I have to thank this author for sharing this story, I was so impressed with her outlook on life while growing up in what most of us would consider major dysfunction, but she always kept that positive outlook on life and loved with all she had. This is such an inspirational story and her faith was always there even before she realized she had it.
I just can’t say enough about this book..I am in awe and totally speechless.
There’s no doubt in my mind there was a real life miracle written about in this book and it took my breath away.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a unique and clever take on a modern day Cinderella fairytale. It is a quick read but a fun read and is sweet and cute. This tale is full of hopes and dreams, a little magic and a sweet romance. It is funny and heartfelt and at times a little sad.
Ash has been treated poorly by his father and brothers but he has his pet pig, Gus. When a knock on his door one night provides for an interesting tale, he doesn’t realise that it would turn out to be his quirky old fairy godfather. He also doesn’t realise that a strange woman in his home would turn out to be a princess.
Anyone who loves a fairy tale will fall in love with this modern day and role reversal version.

Surviving Valencia by Holly Tierney-Bedord is much different to her other stories and I must admit I skimmed over a lot of it because it was a little confusing at times and I found it hard to keep my interest and it was a little slow. The story alternates between the past and the present and is told by a younger sister, who remains nameless, which is fitting because she always felt invisible to others. The story is a mystery suspense and there are lots of twists and turns that keep you on your toes.
When a tragedy strikes and the twins are no longer around the family fall apart. Little Sister is haunted by her past and the story unfolds. There were times when I wanted to shake her and tell her to grow up and grow a backbone but I guess it makes sense within the parameters of the story. The end is interesting and leaves a lot of questions. Now I have to wait to see if there is a follow up to find out the answers.
Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) By J.D. Frettier. Once again this author does an incredible job of mixing serious with fun. I’m a big fan of this series and do recommend you read them in order. While this was a short read it didn’t lack in any way. There’s plenty of laughs and serious moments to have a nice balance. The characters are engaging and relatable. The story is well written and had me completely hooked. The author truly has a way of bringing words to life because I definitely watched the story come alive. Kitty is a character I won’t be forgetting any time soon that’s for sure. I’m giving this story a four star review and recommend it.

From the summary I knew that this book would be one that didn’t fall within my normal reading queue. That said, the author, for me, didn’t belittle or make light of the lifestyle she explored. The characters were relatable and complex. The relationship between the main characters was well established and layered. The plot had a natural ebb and flow to it. I connected to the characters insomuch that I cared about them and wanted to know how things would resolve. A very good read and one I look forward to seeing continue in future books of the series. It’s filled with drama and action with characters that take you on quite the adventure. I do recommend reading this series in order to fully understand everything going on. The twist and turns had me trying to read faster so I knew what happens next as fast as possible. Each character brought something unexpected and unique to the storyline. 5 Star Love on the Line( Great Expectations Love Stories : The Graykens Book 2)By Laurie Lewis is the sequel to Love on a Limb and the continuation of Matt and Mikaela’s story. I would recommend if you haven’t already read the first Book in this series that you grab it.You will have a better understanding of what is going on as there is a lot of information in the first book. This book not only pulled at my heartstrings but had my emotions all over the place. I found myself relating to both of them and understanding how hard it is to stay positive all the time. I could go on and on for days about how wonderful this Author is and how she knows how to write stories that make the characters come to life, and make you feel like you are apart of the story. From the bottom of my heart not only this book but the first one as will be read again and again. I highly recommend reading this book as well as the first. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Fortitude was a great 5 star read. This is a historical romance set during the Spanish-American war.
This is Claire’s story and what she goes through due to her choices. Claire was a brave, independent and strong woman who stood up for what she believed in. She is a nurse for the Buffalo soldiers, caring for them and helping them recover. When things take a twist, she finds herself caught up in racial issues.
Carrie Dalby continues to pull me in with her writing. I really enjoyed this book, there was so much going on. My emotions were all over the place. At times it was hard to read some of the racial parts. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There were several twist and turns. If you’re looking for a good read that will tug at your emotional strings this is the one for you. 1-click and get started today.
Don’t Let Me by Marie Skye is book one of the Simplicit Duet. I was pulled in from the beginning of this story because the storyline was so intriguing I needed to know what was going to happen.
Damien, Olivia and Jaxon are drawn together and Olivia finds herself between a rock and a hard place. She has feelings for both men but when one leaves her, she says yes to the other. She had no idea the twists and turns that would play out down the road.
This book was so emotional I didn’t know what to feel from one moment to the next. I was absolutely immersed in this book.

Me and Cinderella by Kelly Mooney is book two of The Dirty Rooster Series. This book can be read as a standalone. This book pulled me in right from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.
Eli swore he would never return to Sugar Creek. He stood by that until his brother needed him. One thing he knew for sure was he couldn’t have anything to do with Remington. He’s always had deep feeling for Remington even though she is his little sister’s best friend.
I absolutely loved this book. There is so much emotion between the characters. The story is so well written that it’s relatable as are the characters. The banter between the characters added a lighthearted element that was a wonderful way to break up the emotion a little. This book truly has it all.

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster Book 2) by Kelly Mooney 4 stars
This book was great! I loved the dual POV and the small flashbacks thrown in as well. I didn’t feel we really got to know Eli, yes we got to see his feelings and actions but I felt I was missing just a little something. He was very in your face and up front on a lot of things. Remington, or Remy, was a girl I felt a connection to right away. And I loved her teasing of Eli to get him to show his feelings to her. Loved all the other characters to, and wish to see more.

Pandora’s Price is book three in the Hart & Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné. A dynamic series that captivates and titillates. A cast of characters that take your breath away, astound you and leave you desperate for more.
Darren and Luisa’s saga continues and the drama just builds, achingly tantalising, creating a nail biting intensity that showcases the brilliance that is in every paragraph. The characters are complicated, difficult, but simple in their base wants and needs. They crave the most simplest things. Want, love, acceptance, forgiveness, kindness, tolerance, understanding. The feelings these characters brought out in each other was so mesmerising, so passionate. I could not have wished for a more explosive drama. It was everything. 5 stars

I have read a couple of books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the fourth book of the Gray Ghost series that I became to love. My favorite genre is military romance and this author always exceeds my expectations. This book can be read as a stand alone but there are prior characters in this book as well. I was so happy when this book can out I dropped everything and started reading it. I was so hooked on these characters it only took me a day to devour this incredible book.
Hawk Ares is the quietest member of the Gray Ghost team. That is why his job is the sniper that hides above. Hawk is very curious of his neighbors. He hears them fighting so he decides to check it out. Hawk wants to know if this beautiful woman is in danger. He calls this woman Red due to her beautiful hair color. Hawk has always played it safe when it came to relationships. He doesn’t want to get hurt but he can’t stop this feeling he has when he sees Red. Hawk is shocked when Red runs to him for help. Stella and Hawk get to know each other and they feel a pull like they have never felt before. As they get closer so does the enemies. Will Hawk protect Stella with everything he has including his own life?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and suspense. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. Hawk looks very tough on the outside but he is a big teddy bear. He loves his brothers and will protect anyone that he loves. The way he treats Stella will make your heart melt. Stella is a very strong and independent woman. Her brother keeps on dragging her down. She wants to find that man that will fight for her. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will have you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write next. I know for sure I will be the first to read it.

FORTITUDE by Carrie Dalby. This is not the usual type of book that I read but I really enjoyed it. This was a very emotional read set in 1898 when Claire decides to be nurse for the Buffalo Solider’s during the Spanish American War. This was unheard of for a red head, freckled, white woman but Claire was not your average woman. Her best friend was Creole which was not popular during the Jim Crow Law days. As a nurse she falls in love with a solider and that throws her into the fire of the racial wars of the times. Claire is very hard headed and will do what she wants, not normal in that day and time. She is a modern day bad a#@! I loved this book and I read it in one sitting. I think you will enjoy it as much as I did!
Me and Cinderella ( The Dirty Rooster Book 2) By Kelly Mooney. This is the 2nd book in The Dirty Rooster series but it can be read as a standalone. I loved this story about Eli and Remington or Remi. He’s such a good guy from the wrong side of town and she is a rich princess from the right side of town with everything she ever needs and more. She becomes best friends with Shea, Eli’s sister and would rather spend time with her than at home. Eli leaves town as soon as he can, goes to college, graduates and is very successful. He has vowed to never return to Sugar Creek but when their father gets out of prison he heads back to take care of his little brother Brandon. He never expects to run right into Remi as soon as he gets back but he does and the chemistry is still there. Remi feels it too but her parents would never approve. Will they both give in to their feelings regardless of everyone else. Read Me and Cinderella to find out.

Turning the Tide by Phoebe Alexander is book five of the Eastern Shore Swingers Series. These books can be read in any order but characters from previous books do make appearances.
Luke feels stuck in a hopeless situation. He really doesn’t see any hope that it will change. He gets invited to the club and that’s where things might start to change. Connie doesn’t participate in the lifestyle but likes to spend time at the club with her friends. She feels an instant connection to Luke but then she finds out about his baggage. Is their connection worth the trouble it’s causing?
This book was so good and probably my most favorite out of the series. Luke is such a great guy trapped in an impossible situation. The characters in this series are all unique but very relatable. I like that the characters make appearances outside of their own book. They are family. This book was an excellent read!

Rafferty Default Distraction Book 2 By A. S. Roberts ☆☆☆☆☆ A story of overcoming obstacles and ones true love.
Lauren has had her heartbroken as a teen. Her highschool sweetheart crushed her dreams. Now she is back home helping her friends. And guess who walks in? Will Lauren keep to her plan and stay away? Will he leave her be? Only reading this story will answer those questions. Just remember the chocolates, kleenex and a glass of wine.
This story will not disappoint! You will travel a much different road with this one. A. S. Roberts has really written a wonderful story. Again she captured my heart on the first chapter. As well as kept me reading. No Spoilers here! Take the chance and read her story. You’ll fall in love with her characters as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Way to go A. S. Roberts! Please do not read this series out of order. You will be doing yourself and the author a disservice.
This is one of those unexplainable series that took me on such an emotional ride. There is so much realism in the writing that it was like watching relationships my friends are involved in. There are so many personalities and events that take place in this series. Like I’ve said in a previous review, this is not all unicorns and glittery rainbows, it’s raw and emotional and real. I know I’m repeating myself.
Told in dual POV, we are invited in to understand both sides of the story. As a result of that, opinions of events changed as the series continued.
A multi-dimensional story with complex characters, I definitely recommend reading this series.

Flesh and Bone (Blood of Kaos Book 3) by Nesa Miller was a romantic novel with aspects that are intense, thrilling along with adventurous and alluring with all the elements to keep your interest. This story is a strong creative work by the author, standing alone – as well as – part of the series. I have not previously read a book by this author, but I definitely need to add them to my must read more in the future. I found the pace of the story kept up with my interest, along with keeping me thoroughly engaged. The characters were thoroughly laid out. The degree of working pieces within this novel were always moving, creatively so. Highly recommend.

Reset to One (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 2) by Heather Silvio 4 Stars
Another murder needs to be solved in Las Vegas. This time vampire Evie Jones steps up to the plate. Life gets boring when you are immortal so Evie keeps it exciting by being an actress. She meets another actor at a workshop named Ryan, who’s friend is accused of murder. Is the search for the truth or her attraction to Ryan motivating Evie to help him? Things get complicated when her ex-husband is implicated as well. Can they solve the murder? Will Ryan stick around after he finds out that she’s a vampire?
This is a cute romance fraught with suspense and danger. Though this is book two, it can be read as a stand-alone. Evie was a secondary character in the first book and I’m happy that she got her own story in this book. The story is a fun, light read filled with mystery, intrigue and of course, romance. I’m really enjoying this series and so will you. I’m looking forward to book three.

This is the second story in the “Dark Water Security” series and can be read as a stand-alone.
Dark Water Security is a firm that employees veteran’s to provide security for a variety of clients. Garrett is one of the newer employees. Hope is a live-in house manager who has recently overcome an event in her past that caused her to withdraw from life for a while.
This book was pretty clear cut. Each character is introduced with enough background that you know who everyone is. There is a little bit of suspense in this tale and the story is written in such a way that I didn’t “figure it out” before I was meant to.
