The Archspawn – Pilgrimage & Prophecies is the first book in the Archcrusades series. This book is quite hefty with over 1300 pages and over 100 characters, with about a third of those having their own POV chapters. This is a story full of magic, adventure, mythical characters and creatures, and action. Even with the length of the book, this is quite fast paced and easy to follow once you get down the varying POV switches and who is who. Some of the names are a bit fun so it did take me a little to realize “oh, that’s THAT guy…” early on, but you do get the hang of it as the pages turn. This made me feel like a Game of Thrones type read with the varying timelines and POV that intermingle and separate at the same time and I love books like that. I did not expect to enjoy this book, since I do not read much high-fantasy but this was actually really well written and thought out, and kept a smooth transition throughout. I did get confused at times but it does circle around and make sense at some point. This book is definitely complex and has some darker aspects so if you have triggers, make sure you look into that before reading. I will definitely be looking forward to the next one, I love these longer reads!

Mistaken Identity by Stephanie R. Caffrey is the first book in London Detective Series and a book that I did not want to put down, and read it in one day. I found that the author was able to keep the drama going yet giving us a romance that I loved. I found that the book was a HUGE mix of everything that a reader wants all mixed into one. Evelyn and Patrick really get a hold of you and I know that I cannot wait to read more in this series to see where it leads. A romance, drama, and suspense…a great combo that will NOT leave any reader disappointed.

I love a box set because it means I can ‘binge read’ the whole series without having to wait impatiently for the next book to be released. This is an enjoyable and engaging series of standalone stories featuring a different couple and their journey to love.

‘Echoing Hearts’, is Dean and Rae’s enemies to lovers romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Although fate keeps pulling the couple together, distrust, jealousy and doubt all play a part in whether they trust in love or not. I found the chemistry between Rae and Dean sizzled off the page, but I also liked the slow burn romance between them.

In ‘His Forever Muse’, Brandon and Calliope are childhood friends who become adult lovers in this heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story. It’s been fifteen years since the pair have seen each other but their connection is just as strong in this second chance romance. The story does deal with some domestic violence themes, however these are dealt with sensitively and do give a backstory to the characters situation.

Chris and Rowan start of as fake fiancé’s in, ‘Unexpected Entanglement,’ when Chris comes to Rowan’s rescue, to help her organise a beautiful wedding at her family’s inn for her cousin. This is a heartwarming romantic story with plenty of suspense, making it a real page turner.

‘Dangerous Rhythm’, is Curtis and Lina’s whirlwind adventure romance. Curtis is a rockstar in hiding and it’s Lina’s job to keep him safe. The chemistry between Lina and Curtis really came across in the narrative and I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story. The storyline had me hooked from page one and the action packed plot kept me gripped.

I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this collection of contemporary romances, which I definitely recommend.

A Girl, Stuck by Kelly Elizabeth Huston, is the third book in the Found Families series, and a new author for me, and I will say that this is a beyond fascinating book. This book took me on a ride that I did not want to get off from. The book was full of twists and turns and people truly not being who you think they are. I feel that the character of Harry and Trey are two very strong and likeable characters that truly make this story what it is. While the book is a series you can read them each as a standalone. I already have the others on the kindle and ready to go. Read this … this book and this author DO NOT disappoint.

This book is a great way to introduce young children to the idea that owning and caring for a pet is a big responsibility, and that care should be taken in deciding to get a pet. This book is part of a series of books about Porter and Midge, who are dogs, and their humans Lora and CJ, but it can also be read as a stand-alone without any issues. This is a great book for helping young kids understand why deciding to get a pet shouldn’t be made on a whim, and why what kind of pet you choose is also important. The story is written in rhyming lines, which makes it fun for younger kids. The illustrations are fun to look at as well as bright and colorful. The back of the book also has some pet safety tips for use by young kids around animals. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for any family that has young kids and is considering adding a pet, especially a dog, to their family.

This book is a highly detailed and complex fantasy story that introduces readers to an imaginative and well developed world. So much happens in this book, and it is all supported by an amazing collection of characters. It was great that we got to hear from so many of them, it really broadened the scope of the story.
This is the first book that inhave read by this author and what an introduction. I loved the world building that went on and how everything developed over time. I was drawn into the story and engaged so well with the characters. This was a great book to read and I am excited to discover more.

What a fun story! Three children and morse code tapping dog. They are out to solve the mystery of finding the time capsule. I loved the whole premise of the story. The characters are fun and exciting. The story does a great job of grabbing the child’s attention. I found myself even engaged. It’s a fun family story to read together also. I have enjoyed seeing the author branch out into these chapter books. They are fun, family friendly and so entertaining.

This is one of the sweetest second-chance romances that I’ve read in a bit. It hits a little close to home because I’m the oldest in our relationship by a decade. I found Laura and Hugh’s relationship to be sweet and slow in building. Georgina is the one that I didn’t think was needed. I loved Celeste. She had me rolling in the aisles with her surprise trip. It’s an entertaining romance with the American/Brit interactions. It’s a fun read and I’ll be eagerly awaiting book 2.

This is the 3rd book in the Shadowed Defense Security series. Each book can be read as a standalone however I think after reading one you would want to read them all.
These books are great. Their is a gripping crime thriller aspect as well as a romance. The main make characters are always so protective which I love but what I also like is that the female lead character are strong and independent on their own. The characters compliment each other in every sense.
This is a story that is gripping right from the beginning and is so action packed that I couldn’t put it down. Their is danger around every corner and my heart was beating fast throughout not only because of the danger but because of the electric chemistry between our 2 main character.
Drake and Finlay have crossed paths before and when Drake is sent to fetch Finley home he knew the task wouldn’t be an easy one.
Finley is a journalist who is on the brink of breaking a huge story and bringing down a human trafficking ring, however she doesn’t realise just how dangerous the situation is that she finds yourself. While she is undercover she is also trying to locate her friends sister, however the people she is working for aren’t the sort of people you want to mess with or cross.
When Drake arrives to convince her to return, she refuses so now Drake and the team at Shadow Defense have to work alongside her to keep her safe and take down the human trafficking organisation for good.
However this isn’t as easy as it sounds and with the danger getting higher and higher around Finley, Drake gets more and more concerned that she is in over her head.
Will Finley be able to locate her friends sister? Will her cover be blown and her life placed in danger? And what will happen if Drake and Finley gives into their chemistry?
This was a great read that I couldn’t put down and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

A collection of novellas that are hot, steamy, some with kink, some touching on the taboo. <br />These dark side of romance reads are enthralling and this collection will keep you in their grip, you simply cannot put this book down. <br />I have read a few of LMs full novels, where the character development continues throughout the books; but have found this omnibus of novellas a great go to for a quicker read, where the characters are just starting to develop and you can see some of them easily flowing into longer stories. LM is certainly an author to read if you like spice and temptation in your romance.

As a woman approaching 40, it was nice to read about relatable things when you’re in a cozier stage of life. Wickstrom deserves countless accolades for bringing STEM to kiddos at such a young age in such a fun and easily understandable way. The Glow in Loretta’s Garden teaches young readers about the lifecycle of fireflies (or lightning bugs where I’m from ;)). The way Wickstrom is able to provide readers with a science lesson through storytelling is phenomenal. She’s able to weave her lessons throughout the story of Loretta and teach not only the academic side of it, but also an emotional component too. And the illustrations are bright and captivating and go along perfectly with the story. This is definitely another book you’ll want to add to your ever-growing Wickstrom collection.

This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world with ease. The author used details to bring their story to life. They are connectable, relatable, strong characters that had me coming back to see what would happen next. Their growth throughout made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a well written story about secrets and things you may regret finding out. The twists and turns had me turning pages fast and sitting on the edge of my seat. This is a fast paced, engaging story and one you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy their writing style as well as their attention to details that make the story come to life. This is the final story in this series which I highly suggest reading all the books in this series. This will help with your enjoyment of the characters as well as this author’s writing skills. This is one of my favorites of the series which gets better and better with each story. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They kept the story engaging and hard to put down. A story where you expect the unexpected. A romance that neither character expects to happen. Will they be able to close their deal? I enjoyed watching these characters grow as well as their off the charts attraction. I found this book easy and entertaining to read. It is fast paced and one you don’t want to miss for sure. I really enjoyed this book and the characters had me coming back for more. I highly recommend this book.

June and Dallas’s story was an interesting one to read. It’s a good stand-alone, but I would definitely start at book 1 to get the background stories of the characters that you see. The start of the book was a little slow going, but after a few chapters, it does pick up! And oh boy does it pick up. June is at risk at losing her company that she has put blood sweat and tears into, and because of an inside scandal, she loses her one investor and she is needing money. The last person she doesn’t want to turn to, is Dallas. Unfortunately, she has no choice. Dallas can get her the money, but she has to follow and do whatever he says. The storyline and story building were really good! It went at a good pace and man just when you think you’ve figured it all out, Rowan throws you a curveball out of nowhere, and now you are back to square one. I really loved reading this book, and now I’m definitely going back to read the previous books, and her other books!

I absolutely loved this series! This four book box set is a must.

The first book of the series is a great starter book, Echoing Hearts. Rae and Dean both have a past that they have to leave behind in order to fully be together. Rae is an all business kind of girl and holds a pretty high standard when it comes to guys. Dean is doing everything possible to get the girl. He is mesmerized by Rae. I can’t wait to read book two.

The second book was just as amazing as the first, His Forever Muse. One of the smaller characters from the last book is the main character in this book, Brandon. He is in a band but he also loves drawing. Callie is a girl that he has known forever. He has always been there for her, whenever she needed someone to lean on. Callie has this ex that could get between her and Brandon.

The greatness just continues in book three, Unexpected Entanglement. Rowan’s family owns and Inn. She is trying to prove to them that she can successfully run it. Tragedy strikes but Rowan is trying not to let that stop her running the Inn. Chris shows up, on his planned vacation and break from work. He owns hotel. He meets Rowan and wants to help her out. At first Rowan is reluctant for his help, but once she lets him in she learns so much. Will they be able to work through their feelings an be together?

Dangerous Rhythem, the last book in this box set. Just like the other three, this story was just as fantastic as the others. In this story, I really liked that the roles were reversed. Curtis plays guitar in a band. When he has a night off and goes out he witnesses a crime. Now Curtis and his family are in severe danger. Lina is a bodyguard. She is hired to keep Curtis safe. Will she be able to keep him safe or will this job be too much?

This series overall…WHOA! Get you a rainy day, a cozy blanket and a nice chair, with a cup of coffee, tea, or whiskey…whatever your preference 😉 and BINGE THIS SERIES NOW! I could not put these books down. Was each book a 5-star? No, but overall this series has it all…amazing plot lines, fantastic character development, and enough sparks to set a substantial flame. All four of these stories are standalones (but why read just one?) and they are contemporary romances but each book has it’s own unique storyline and characters. Echoing Hearts is the enemies-to-lovers type possible love triangle story of Dean and Rae who just can’t seem to get away from one another. Alam takes her readers on an emotional rollercoaster in this story and quite a few times you really just want to smack the characters upside the head. His Forever Muse is the kind of starry-eyed, breathy sigh story of Brandon and Calliope who’ve known each other since childhood…and perhaps have already tried to have a go at this thing called love. This would be your second-chance, friends-to-lovers romance. Unexpected Entanglement was my favorite out of the series. I love the fake dating and forced proximity trope and this one had both. Rowan and Chris are forced together to plan a wedding in two weeks…but sparks start flying. I really love the depth of this story and Alam just roped my in with this one. Definitely had my staying up way past my bed time to read “just one more chapter.” The final book in the series is Dangerous Rhythm and it’s your typical rockstar/bodyguard trope…with a twist…but I’m not gonna tell you what it is! This is Curtis and Lina’s story and it is filled with action, drama, danger, suspense, passion, and so much more. C. R. Alam has really outdone herself with The Echo Series. It’s definitely a series you are going to want to add to your collection and set aside some time to binge because once you start, you won’t be able to stop.

Overall, “Code Dog” by Lois Wickstrom is a thrilling and engaging children’s mystery book that will keep young readers entertained from beginning to end. The story follows three adventurous kids as they embark on a mission to find a missing time capsule, using their problem-solving skills to decipher clues and crack codes along the way.

The characters are well-developed and relatable, making it easy for readers to connect with them and become invested in their quest. The fast-paced plot keeps the reader guessing as the kids race against time to uncover the hidden secrets of their town.

Wickstrom’s writing style is clear and engaging, making the story easy to follow for young readers. The inclusion of puzzles and codes adds an interactive element to the book, inviting readers to participate in solving the mystery alongside the main characters.

An entertaining historical cozy mystery drama which had me hooked throughout. The story is set in ancient Egypt during the first year of Tut-ankh-aten/amen’s reign, about 1335 BCE. The author really made me feel as though I had been transported back to this era through the both descriptive narrative and the added historical details. Neferet is the daughter of Hani, who features in another series by the author, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. The storyline follows physicians Neferet and Bener-ib along with their apprentice Mut-tuy. In this story a corpse washes up on the riverbank at Neferet’s father, Lord Hani’s house. The trio then visit the local village in the hopes of identifying the deceased, however, the three women soon become entangled in a web of secrets, lies and murder. Their investigations into a family of weavers put Neferet in danger but they all remain determined to discover the truth. I found the historical notes, character list and glossary at the start of the book very useful. I referred to the character list in particular many times, as the Egyptian names of the era do take a while to get used to. I love the three main characters and the fact that they are three independent and determined women physicians, who are likeable and relatable in 2024 even though they come from 1335 BCE!

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this going in, but quickly became engrossed. First off, this book really got me thinking about my relationship with my own mother, to just spend time with her, and enjoy her. I love that Laura at 60, and after losing her husband was motivated by her book group friends to make the leap and travel on her own to London. I was super annoyed with her daughter Caroline for most of the book. It irked me so much that she just assumed her mom would be there to take care of the things she needed help with, and I applaud Laura for standing up to her daughter and doing something for herself finally, for living for herself. I had a feeling something was off about Hugh the whole time, but didn’t see that coming. The fact that it took him so long to come clean to Laura after she found out bothered me, but I feel like they did have a connection and a strong love. It was sweet that Laura got to explore London and look into her ancestry with her Mother and Daughter, as well as learning life lessons from her own Mother, Celeste, and bestowing some truths on Caroline. I would really love to see what comes of Laura and Hugh.

What a great book and tool for teachers. There are many great things in this book to teach our children, eating healthy, gratitude, lessons about how things grow after planting and so much more. I really liked how with each lesson there are activity pages to match that lesson for the kids to do, and throughout each lesson there are so many references and resources to use to aid in the lesson. This honestly reminds me of when I was in after school care when I was in elementary school and it brought back very fond memories. There are things in this book as and adult now that I have learned, such as,

“A good amount of oxygen we inhale is used by our brains. When we are upset or scared, our breathing becomes short and shallow. Our thinking brain can shut down.”

I never really thought about how our thinking is off when we are scared or upset, which makes sense because everyone always says to “take deep breaths” and the minute you start taking deep breaths you start thinking more clearly. I wish I would have realized or learned that earlier on. Definite recommendation for teachers.

Excellent book to teach children all the responsibilities that come with owning a dog. I forgot myself, how much really goes into owning a dog, so there are some good points to think about and learn about taught in this book. I really like that the author has the children researching everything on their own, giving them a feel of the responsibility they will have to take on when it comes to owning a dog. The note to the parents at the end helps with offering tips and extra knowledge for adults to share with children.

This series ages like a fine wine. Each time I finish a book and Treadgold comes out with another one, I’m like there’s no way she can top the last one and then she goes and does it. This one is probably by far my favorite. The MMC is angsty and distant (he has his reasons) and his relationship with the FMC is…complicated to say the least. I love all the different dynamics we get to experience through out the book not only between the MMC and the FMC but also the family and friendship dynamics that Treadgold brings into the plot line. One of my favorite things an author does is bring back characters from previous stories so we can still see what they are up to without taking over the main character’s story and Treadgold does such a fantastic job of that. We get to see what everyone else has been up to without it taking over Jake and Chiara’s story. This story is an emotional rollercoaster of a ride so you better buckle up. And while I suppose you could read these as standalones (as they are individual stories) I would suggest reading them in order because you will truly miss out on some storyline and character nuances. This was a really cute children’s book. It asks questions about different aspects of mermaids were real like: what would they look like?; would they have different types of tails?; or if they would come in many sizes? Etc. The illustrations are cute and colorful, too. This is also a decent size children’s book. The best part about this book, however, is that on each page after a question is posed the author provides a fun fact about a mermaid (or legend of a mermaid) or another type of fact about the sea. I think this makes the learning process fun to read about different aspects but in a mythical creature that children love. I would recommend this book to other parents and children who love to learn about ocean life.

Make Me Burn is an ex-best friend’s sister/enemies-to-lovers type of story about Logan Bennett and Jinx D’Allessio. Logan Bennett is a wealthy businessman who used to live in North Folk, but quite some time ago left due to a falling out with his best friend. He is back in town for a wedding and runs into Jinx, the younger sister of said ex-best friend. Jinx is just as surprised to see him, one because he up and left her so many years ago after building a “secret friendship”, and two because he is the one person she has been in love with her whole life. After the wedding, the two try to build a friendship again – she never believed all the chaos that surrounded the falling out. In this friendship, they start to realize that there is more there, but what can they do since the turmoil of the family is so bad? How can they have a happily ever after when her family will never allow this?

I enjoyed this story. I thought the characters were great together. Jinx is an artistic, fun-loving, successful woman who knows what she wants and her worth. Logan is a strong, level-headed, determined businessman who goes after what he wants but is also respectful beyond measure about the situation that Jinx is in. Beyond the characters, it was a quick read that kept moving forward. There were also some sexy scenes, as well. I enjoyed this and would consider reading others in the series.

Sugar and Spice is book 1 in this new adventure by author Phoebe Alexander. It has been revamped and updated in this 2nd edition. However, it is still a fun story. It is original and different. Our main characters are the Sweet family, specifically Cy Sweet aka Marcus and the workers from Sweetopia, specifically Jolie, the Red Velvet Queen and Colleen the boss lady. There seems to be a few disgruntled employees in a land of Sweetness and fairytales. Cy’s job is to find the ringleader and restore peace to Sweetopia.

Sugar and Spice is a little different from the stories Alexander usually writes. It’s a little “sweeter”. The sex is still spicy, but the actual story is sweet. However, once Cy and Jolie get to the hot tub things just might change and lead to a steamer second story!

I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the rest of the series!

Porter and Midge: Paws and Responsibilities is a kids guide to welcoming a new dog. My son and I are huge fans of these authors and this one may be our favorite yet. I love how it teaches children how important it is to care for our animals and all the Responsibilities that go along with it. This is the perfect book for teaching children in a fun way how to care for animals. The colorful illustrations help bring the story to life. We highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

The Closer is definitely a fiery enemies-to-lovers dark romance contemporary romance. It is the third and final epic tale in The Hustlers trilogy and my favourite so far. Make sure to read the books in order or you are missing so much deliciousness. I really enjoyed this story.

This second chance story is sexy, filled with suspense, drama, power, angst, pain, and sizzling chemistry and let’s not forget a little humour and mayhem. Rowans descriptive writing style is good at building the anticipation in you on what’s to come.

June is out of options. She needs help and she needs it now. The only thing left is the one thing that broke her. The real question is can she forgive. They both work hard and love hard and there are a lot of moments when you wonder if they should just walk away. They are both complex characters that are stubborn and not easy to forgive and their demons may be too much.

Their story is an emotional one and not a straightforward trip to love it has twists and turns and around every bend we discover something new.

I can’t wait to see what Rowen gives us next.

Here within this book are ways to teach yoga and meditation to kids something that Lenora has a passion with. Mindfulness through yoga is not just for kids but for adults alike as it sharpens your focus and strengthens your attention. It also encourages self-esteem and in creating a positive self-image.
Planting Seeds is a 6-week curriculum series that sets about giving the teacher a tool on how to teach kids to become mindful through learning yoga in the classroom. It sets out ideas and themes and plans for lessons and activities.
It is easy to read and looks easy enough to implement. It is devised to be used for kids aged between 4 – 12 years but would be easily adapted for other ages.
It is an original and unique book that would help anyone one looking to do this kind of thing. There is a lot to teach but to also learn from at the same time.
Very clever.

This book had just the right amount of suspense and romance. The author does well in engaging the reader by starting out with a confrontation between characters and you need to know why it’s a big deal. A small argument leads to a deeper reasoning behind it from the beginning. The main characters are very well developed and complement each other very well. The story will keep you on your toes and you will need to know what’s going to happen next.
