The Hidden Present is part of the Invisible Magic Wand collection/series. They are all independent stories about Caspian and his Grandpa. Caspian always gets special gifts for his un-birthday from his grandpa. But this year, it wasn’t just left out in the open, he had to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt to find it. My 7 year old son read it to me, and it is a fun story. We both enjoyed it, and look forward to more books from the author and illustrator.
This is a new to me author that I will definitely be following for more work. The story starts off a little slow, but it’s well worth it, trust me. Ember is a sweetie that didn’t expect that her peaceful world in the 100 acer woods would be turned so completely upside down.
She’s on a journey of self discovery, wrapped in love and mystery and danger and I can’t wait to see how it is all going to end. Obviously it is a RH romance so she won’t have to choose but Caleb is definitely my favorite. I can’t wait to see their relationship grow and can not wait to learn more about this interesting new world.

A Fun way to learn about the responsibility of pet ownership. Lora and CJ are great role models for kids who want the responsibility of getting a pet. This book is an excellent resource for kids to read before actually getting their pet.
It takes you through everything you need to know and what puppies/dogs will need to have a healthy and fulfilling life with your family. The best part is that while it is so informative it is also fun for kids to read.

Sugar and Spice is the first book I’ve read by Phoebe Alexander and I cannot wait to read more! Sugar and Spice is the first book in the Spicetopia series and it was a great way to start. The characters are fabulously flawed and realistic. The growth of the two main characters, Jolie and Cy, is refreshing in a spicy romance. There is drama, romance, connection, and just the right amount of spice. It makes you think twice about what happens behind the scenes at family-friendly parks! While the majority of the story takes place within the park limits of Sweetopia, I felt the world building was spot on! I could see the distinct difference between the regular employee areas and the opulence of the management areas. Overall, this book exceeded my expectations and the ending made me anxious for the next in the series!

A page turner that kept me wanting to find out more. A family’s secret that’s been hidden comes to light when Rose gets a call that her mother Carly isn’t doing well and needs Rose’s help. Rose has her own issues due to getting injured on the job as a photojournalist. When Rose gets to her childhood home in upstate New York, she soon finds out how sick her mother really is. Rose tries to get her big brother to come up to help with their mother but as a lawyer with current open cases, he can’t get away. Being in her childhood town and home brings up some things that have been secret for years. The story brings drama, intrigue, danger, hurt feelings, and so much more. But family can still be strong even after some hidden lies are brought to the surface. I did cry a bit as I read the book, I could totally connect with Rose as she tries to be there for her ailing mother.

This was a quick but very good read. Logan was Jinx’s brother’s best friend. There is a big fallout between the two men which also meant that Jinx wouldn’t be part of his life anymore. Jinx had a crush on Logan for as long as she can remember and as she grew older it turned into more than a crush. It’s been a few years since Jinx and Logan have seen each other, then they see each other at a wedding. Logan has always had feelings for Jinx but could never act on it because of his relationship with her brother. Will they be able to get over the past so they can act on their feelings? This story has romance, drama, twists and turns, great characters and more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

Wow! What a debut novel….Mistaken Identity is a intriguing, fast paced story fill with drama, mystery, greed, corruption, suspense and some romance. I really loved this story and I am excited to what is to come in this series. I was at the edge of my seat while turning the pages trying to find out what will happen next as the story unfolded. Already to say I very highly recommend this book… what a roller coaster of a ride this story took me on.
Evelyn Stevenson is to study abroad as a graduate student ready for a new adventure being away from home. While trying to navigate where to go next at the airport and accidental bump into a stranger leads Evelyn down a road of danger and mystery, especially when her bag is mixed up by this unknown stranger. Echoing Hearts introduces us to Amy and Dean who at first seem to not get along but soon find themselves unable to let each other go.
His Forever Muse is about Brandon and Callie and a childhood crush they had for each other. Connecting again as adults brings some drama that shows how strong a character Callie is.
Unexpected Entanglement introduces us to Rowan and Chris. Rowan is a hard working woman trying to restore her family’s Inn. This was my favorite story of the series.
Dangerous Rhythm brings Curtis and Lina together. Curtis witnesses a crime and find himself in trouble. Lina is brought in to keep Curtis safe. They soon find that getting out of New York isn’t enough and flee around the world.

This book was a little bit interesting and had a different take on what supernatural is all about, which is what I like about the different point of views with others. I was really intrigued and interested in reading this book and I couldn’t help but read it till the end to know if they were going to find out what was happing with all the hybrid supernatural’s. Ember is a wonderful character in this book and the love she has for animals makes her the best girl for this twisted story of all these hybrids showing up on her doorstep hurt and wondered. Or are they being dumped on her doorsteps? This is a superb paranormal romance, filled with so much more of magic, curse, action, adventure, chemistry, tension, mystery, drama, danger, and emotion. This story really kept me going from the beginning, the characters I found were well developed with their own person and very interesting with their quirks. I highly recommend this book, and this being a series book is just more interesting for me to read.

This was a cute kids book that provided a great storyline about the Lunar New Year and the adventure a set of two sisters ends up on. I enjoyed the story about the red envelopes and their significance and then why it was such a problem when they went missing. There were so many great cultural references that would be a wonderful learning experience for the reader. This book would be ideal for young readers ages 7-12. The Missing Red Envelopes was a lighthearted and engaging read. It also featured some great illustrations. Well done Yobe Qiu, this was a well written children’s book.
I have read a few books to my niece from this amazing author. This is the eighth book for one of her favorite series, the Invisible Magic Wand. These books need to be read in order so you get the whole story line. I can’t wait to read more from her.
It is Caspian’s unbirthday once again and his grandpa sends him on another mission. Caspian loves finding his unbirthday present but this time he only finds an inquisitive indicator. I have read a few books from this author to my niece and we love them. These stories are so fun to read but they are also educational. I like how the pictures go perfectly with the story as well. I can wait to read another book with my niece from this amazing author.
Loretta goes to make herself a flower garden but she finds these bugs that glow. She takes them home with her and she watches them. They are some that glow when they fly and some don’t fly. Will she find out the real truth of these cool little bugs?

I think I’m in love. Dean and Rae spoke to me, especially Rae. I felt every ounce of her pain as I read about her family and how her friends became the family she needed and deserved.
Where Rae’s young life was difficult, Dean’s was pretty ideal and reminded me of my husband’s family. Parents were present and an important part of the kids life. But he too has been hurt.

Callie has so much strength even if she didn’t realize it. She was able to escape a Mother who was never satisfied and constantly overbearing and start a life of her own in college and then in Paris.

I’m having a hard time coming up with the words to adequately describe my feelings on this book aside from I loved it.
Rowan and Chris worked so well together and the sparks between them flew almost instantly and it only got hotter as they spent more time together.
Once again there is some suspense with all of the weird stuff happening, some laugh out loud moments especially when Alex was around and then there were some incredibly hot moments like the massage…..

I have read a few books from this author and she always keeps me on my toes. This is the sixth book of the amazing Critical Care series. I could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to get this book so I started it right away. I could not help but to fall for these characters. I didn’t put this book down until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write about next.
Tim Holland is part of the amazing Chase Care team. He was in the Navy but now he is the faculty director. Tim loves his job so much he never thought about love. He is teamed up with a beautiful traveling nurse on his new assignment. Tim has feelings for Willow that he has never got before. His main goal is to find out who is tampering with chemotherapy drugs and not getting involved with another woman. Will Tim and Willow make a great team or will they be too different to work together?

This is a suspense novel. The main characters are Americans in France. There is a classic story of good versus evil. This book forces readers to ask themselves what they would do? How far would they go to thwart pure evil? There is a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming!
Lorie and Weina are looking forward to celebrating the Lunar New Year and all it has to offer, but their favorite parts are the red envelopes they receive from family. In a twist they didn’t expect, in the course of shopping for the perfect gift that day, they’ve misplaced the prized envelopes! The sisters retrace their steps through the day to find them. Along the way, they teach us a bit about the excitement of Lunar New Year, asian customs, culture, foods and traditions.
A fun read with lots to learn along with an incredibly charming and well written story. Recommend!
A luggage mishap at the airport leads to a situation that Evelyn never could have seen coming when she decided to study abroad. By grabbing the wrong suitcase, she is mistaken by a Private Investigator as the person he is looking for. However, when the bad guys come after Evelyn, Patrick is the one to step in and protect her. Add some romance in with the continuous action…and you’ve got a story you won’t be able to put down until the end.
This was a quick read…mostly because I didn’t want to put it down. It hooked me in from the beginning and I was along for the ride! I enjoyed the twist and turns that the story took…and the budding romance between Patrick and Evelyn. Overall, a good story. I look forward to more in the series!
In book 1, there’s loads of chemistry and inability to keep their hands to themselves. In book 2, Ashton and Zachary have signed the contract to bind themselves into a relationship and are facing a lot more everyday issues leading to a lot different feelings than in book 1.
Here, we find them shopping together, choosing jewelry to send a message to everyone in SE, dealing with business and misunderstandings, and finding themselves having to choose one another again. There’s so much anticipation and emotion involved beyond passion and it’s a beautiful but bumpy path they find themselves on towards one another.
Ember is a mage who treats supernatural animal shifters. Born as a mage, her parents treated her as an abomination. They sent her to a mage training school. When she aged out of school, they gave her an isolated cabin on 100 acres in the woods. Afterwards, she had no contact with them. She has the ability to talk to animals telepathically, and she spends her time fixing injured animals and shifters. When Kieran, a hawk shifter, alerts her to an injured bear, Ember follows him to find a badly injured mother with a cub. After patching her up, she learns that a giant black bear that seems cursed was the cause of the injuries. When she arrives home, she finds her cheetah patient awake, and Branson, a healed bear shifter, is blocking it from leaving. The cheetah shifts into his human form and reveals he is the assistant to Prince Caleb. Within three days, several more patients joined Ember’s entourage. A raven has been bringing magical crystals from the riverbank. Kieran, Branson, and Riddick go to investigate a cave that they had tracked the bear to. Ember is accompanied by Percival, and Triston is collecting more of the crystals. Triston says that they smell like bad magic. Before Ember can ask what he means, a giant bear covered in some type of black slime appears. Branson yells for Ember to run. Percival grabs Ember and runs towards her home, where wards prevent the bear from crossing. Noticing the bear is focused on her, Ember asks what it wants. The bear answers, “Your blood.” A shifter romance novel full of a colorful cast of characters, Catherine Banks’ Outcast is entertaining. The vivid details describing the shifters and their abilities make it easy to envision each one. Ember’s feelings of isolation and being an outcast are relatable. The amazing journey of self-discovery is captivating, and I am eager to read the sequel. Mature readers who enjoy steamy romances with multiple subplots will find Outcast appealing.

The Hidden Present is book eight in the Invisible Magic Wand Series. What a super fun adventure Caspian takes us on to figure out where his unpresent is at. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. My son loved it and was being an investigator trying to help find clues. I live this age l, their imagination is running wild and I love it. With the help of the inquisitive indicator Caspian finds his way to his grandfather. Will he find the hidden present? Where could it possibly be? My almost six year loves this author and we look forward to new adventures. We highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.
C.J. and his sister Lora decide that they want a puppy. When they asked their parents they were told that having a dog carried a lot of responsibility. They asked them to research what it means to be a dog owner and then come back and they would discuss it.
I liked this book because I have seen so many people buy their children a pet and then when the newness wears off the dog is left in the yard and ignored. This book will teach children what it takes and then they will know going into it what they need to do.
I have grandchildren and I think they would enjoy this book.

Mistaken Identity is the first book in the London Detective Agency series by Stephanie R. Caffrey and what a great start to a series. When grad student Evelyn accidentally swaps bags with a stranger in an airport, she doesn’t expect her life to be in danger. Patrick is a private investigator who is on route to meet the stranger and mistakes Evelyn for her as she has the wrong bag. When the bad guys try to take Evelyn, Patrick steps in and saves the day. Although, the two certainly do not get on. As the story progresses the two get closer but danger is always round the corner. I really liked this book, it had good character development and a fast paced exciting story. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Lora and CJ want to adopt puppies but they need to do the research and plan to take care of them. This is the story of everything they learned and how they are taking responsibilities for their pets.
I thought this was great for children and makes you think about all the steps in taking care of animals dogs. It takes everything into consideration and would be a great interactive book for kids. Well done.

This was a cute read for kids wanting to learn more about other cultures. It had a good storyline and sprinkled in many facts about the lunar new year. The book description sounded interesting, so I took a chance on it. It’s a very meaty tale, with a lot going on. There were a few places where I had a bit of a challenge following things. I enjoyed this story. It was a quick read for me, which is a great pulling point for me because I’m usually a slow reader. It took me about a day and a half, in between life and kid stuff. It was a little bit cheesy but also cute. Loved the characters, easy to fall in love with them. Good banter. Spice wasn’t too much either, about 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 and only a couple scenes. Loved how James was so quickly and easily attracted to Sara and her son, and took them under his wing immediately. Going out of his way to make both of them happy. Love the found family trope as well. Will definitely be reading some of the others in this series to get all the siblings stories as well
