I love with her storytelling and her writing style is engaging and witty, clever and intriguing and full of humor and heartache. These characters find a way into your soul and keep you turning page after page. This story is sexy, sweet and addicting and the chemistry will leave you in need of a cool shower. As always Aubrey’s writing pulls you in and always always leave you wanting more. It is entertaining and will pull on you emotions.

Protected (Ariya Adams Trilogy #1) by Anna Applegate 5 out of 5 stars Protected is an Ariya Adams Trilogy written by Anna Applegate is the first book I have read by this author. I love reading about vampires and werewolves all paranormal books actually. So when I read the blurb I grabbed it and I wasn’t disappointed the characters where well written with their quirky ways and easy banter. The plot was really different in a good way with few surprises thrown in. The way Ms. Applegate described the scenery was amazing. Ariya Adams thinks she’s a normal college Senior she has no idea she’s descended from blood so powerful and rare that her life is infinitely more precious than any ordinary woman’s especially to James Rymer. James knows she’s anything but a regular college student and enters her life and stirs up feelings she can’t explain. He becomes a part of her world almost overnight, but Ariya senses he’s hiding something, and she’s determined to figure out what it is. When “normal” becomes a thing of the past and fantasy enters Ariya’s reality, she’s soon faced with dangerous revelations, the least of which is that everyone she loves has been keeping secrets from her. With a paranormal evil she’s only beginning to comprehend threatening her and her friends, Ariya will have to choose between duty and love. Through it all, she’ll learn to never underestimate the power of blood. I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to read what happens in Awakened. I do have to warn you this story ends in a cliffhanger.
Chain Reaction is the second book in C. L. Schneider’s Nite Fire series. I am so happy to continue my acquaintance with the half-dragon shapeshifter/police advisor Dahlia Nite who is protecting humans in Sentinel City! I hope the writer will not keep us waiting that long again for the next instalment in the series! SO, we got Dahlia’s backstory in the first book so this one is full-blown come-on-a-ride-of-your-life-story that leaves us with a cliffhanger! WHY!? Well, Dahlia and Detective Creed are on the hunt, they are trying to figure out who is leaving dead bodies left and right … the city is in panic … to raise the stakes and make the story more twisted, there is a new drug in the city that causes people to act weird along the strange things that happen to their bodies … Of course it is not a simple drug and Dahlia takes us on an epic journey that leaves us longing for more! There are a bunch of characters we know from the first book and some new ones and all of them bring the story to life … the reason I love reading books like Nite Fire is that I can picture it all in my head and I am telling you the fireworks of Chain Reaction … they will not leave me soon! If you like paranormal and shapeshifter stories then this one are for you!

Road-Tripped: An Enemies to Lovers Romance (Ad Agency Series Book 1) by Nicole Archer Is absolutely the best thing I have read in a long long time. It is the sweetest, loving and out there story. There were a few sad moments but this book had me in fits of laughter all the way from the start to the finish. Nicole is a new author for me and is now one of my favourites. I am amped up to read more from her. Her writing and the concept of this story is just superb and you can imagine everything she has written. The story is written in both our main characters POV which I love as it gives a story so much more depth.There was not one part of the story that did not fit or gel. It is a true masterpiece.

BECKONED, Part 3: From Los Angeles with Love by Aviva Vaughn continues where the other two left off. There are a lot of ups and downs, conflict and love in this story as our main characters Angela and Soren try to keep their long distance romance alive. There seem to be so many obstacles in their relationship. Angela is a free spirit who loves people, new experiences and trying to find her way into writing books. Soren is possessive and jealous and can’t understand some of Angela’s ways. These two do my head in at times and I think they both need to grow up. Angela has some issues to work through but will she be able to and keep what she wants? Will distance be the only thing keeping these two apart or will others try to manipulate their way into destroying what they have? The only way to find out is to read the books. Now onto the next installment to see where these two end up.

Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire Series by C. L Schneider. The story is a paranormal, action/adventure. It has so much going for it- there’s supernatural elements, danger, shifters, mystery, suspense, drama… and so much more. I really recommend reading the first book in order to have all the important backstory details, before starting this one. We meet up with Dahlia Nite again, and as we discovered in the first book, she is a shapeshifting assassin who came to the human realm to hide out after an assignment went awry. She didn’t stay in one place for long, moving from town to town, and has devoted her time and particular ‘talents’ to protecting people who are at risk by eradicating the creatures that ‘go bump in the night’, that threaten the unsuspecting human population. She had teamed up with Detective Alex Creed and now they have had time to settle into their partnership. They may be very different in their methods, and even come from very different backgrounds, but it’s their differences that make them such a great team. But, in this book we see them investigating a spate of mutations and people who are combusting in the middle of the street. This case will test them, and their relationship/s, as they race to discover what’s happening, and why. Dahlia will need to change the way she approaches an investigation in order to get to the bottom of it all. With fear and panic at an all time high, there is a lot at stake. Will they unravel everything before it’s too late? This is a fantastic second instalment, it is such an intriguing, unique and imaginative story. Ms. Schneider has once more proved to be a very talented author. I recommend this book/series to anyone who loves a great paranormal story with supernatural elements, action and adventure. You are sure to love it as much as I do!

Without Apology is the first book in the Without series by Aubrey Bondurant. This is the first book in a new series, and because I have loved Ms. Bondurant’s “Something” series, I was excited to get my hands on this book and see what she had in store for us. This turned out to be a wonderful contemporary/forbidden/office romance, with some really funny banter, quips and antics- as well as some emotion, drama, witty dialogue, and endearing characters. Peyton Waters and Simon Granger meet in the checkout line at the supermarket. Peyton saves him from and awkward situation, and they have an instant attraction and chemistry. They agree on a date and end up having a fantastic time. He’s in town for business, so they make plans to meet up the following weekend. Only, come Monday morning they discover that she works for the company that his firm is looking at acquiring. He’s there to make the takeover happen and hasn’t earned the nickname ‘Iceman’ for nothing. Peyton and Simon will need to work closely as the weeks progress and there can be no chance of a relationship with them working together- will they be able to keep things purely professional, or will their chemistry cause them to give in to their attraction? I really love this start to the new series. Peyton and Simon are fantastic character, and I was very quickly invested in them and their story. Theirs is a relationship fraught with complication, with an expiration date from the get go, as Simon is only in town till the deal goes through. With both characters having their own ‘demons’ to battle, as well as a little added drama- this story was a great way to launch the new series. I was flipping the pages as quickly as I could to discover what would happen. The characters are really well developed- including the secondary characters- I loved Emma, Megan, Jen, Kevin and of course Cooper. The story is sexy, steaming HOT! I can’t wait to read book two, Emma’s story- “Without Regret”.

Hard Choices is the sixth book in the Blood Brothers series by Manda Mellett. Ms. Mellett has a real knack for producing a great read, and this story is no different. Even though it is the sixth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you might be missing anything. It is a great erotic romance, with suspense, BDSM, danger, turmoil, kidnapping, betrayal, Sheikhs, a Princess, drama, a love triangle (well, a square actually), and more. There is a unique dynamic between the main characters that you really should read for yourself. I recommend going into the story ‘blind’, to fully appreciate the great dynamics, chemistry and connection between some wonderful characters. I don’t want to give away too much and spoil the surprises. As expected from Ms. Mellett, this story is entirely riveting, and I can’t wait to read more of her superb stories!

Protected is the first book in the Ariya Adams Trilogy by Anna Applegate. It is a paranormal college romance story- with mystery, suspense, drama, angst, push-pull, secrets, supernatural elements, action… and more. This is definitely not your typical vampire story. Add in some werewolves, hidden agendas, betrayal, twists, surprising revelations, and this story takes off. We meet Ariya Adams in her senior year at college. She has a great, close-knit group of friends, and is looking forward to her final year, wanting to get as much out of it before it all ends. But strange things begin to happen, and she starts to think that maybe she is going crazy. When danger come calling, and secrets are revealed, Ariya’s world is turned upside down. With her life on the line, and her friends threatened, what will happen? What discoveries will she make? Who can she trust? And can she find a way to thwart the sinister plot, and the danger that seems to be stalking her? I did enjoy this book- even more so as the story unfolded. I did find that it was a little slow to get going as the author laid out all the framework to the story. But, I loved that this isn’t your typical vampire story and has its own identity from a lot of other book in the same genre. It comes across as an adult paranormal romance, but I found that a lot of the content was more suited to Young Adults- as there was a LOT of ‘teenage Angst’ and it was very light on the romance side. Ariya and her love interest James did have a great connection and chemistry, but the angsty push-pull really drove me crazy and I feel that it went on for a little too long. I also feel that the author missed an opportunity to take this story to the next level, by having too much melodrama and not enough ‘romance’. Don’t get me wrong, this story is very enjoyable and definitely worth the read- I just felt frustrated by so much push-pull/angst/melodrama. The story is set to continue in the next book, ‘Awakened’, and I have already jumped right in to it, to find out what will happen next.

Fighting to Win: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rocky River Fighters) by Grace Brennan is the long awaited fourth book in the series and is just as good as the others if not better. Ian has always been the one to hold the group together but I have been waiting for his story and it did not disappoint. I loved this story, it was engaging and suspenseful and the darker side of the sub story always kept you on your toes. I certainly hope Grace gives us more of these shifters and their stories. A paranormal romance story is good when done right and Grace does it right.

Tease Me is the second book in the Dirty Royals Series by Kaye Blue and is a contemporary romance story and is just as good as the first book in this series. Friends to lovers is not always a great idea and what she has proposed is out of this world, but the thought of her with others doesn’t make for a happy man. Will these two finally get their act together or will they lose the one thing they hold dear and that is each other. Kaye has followed up with this next book which great to read and very well written. It also entertains and keeps you on your toes. I sooooooooooooooooo look forward to the next book in the series.

Unexpected Love is part of the Juniper Court series where each book is written by different authors. This book is written by Vicki Green and this is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. I loved that it was told from the male POV which happens so rarely. With an easy writing style I was swept away by the story and these wonderful characters. It is a quick read but a fantastic storyline.
He thought it would be forever, everything he thought he wanted was in his life. Until it wasn’t. Starting over is not an option, once bitten, twice shy, that was until those eyes.
This is a romance story that will tug on your heartstrings and is soooooooooo worth the time to read.

Beckoned: From Bath With Love is the second book in the series which continues with our main character Angela travelling to London to be with Thomas. But what she finds out changes everything. Angelas time in London is nothing like she expected and is even better than she could imagine but when her time is up all the angst she never expected to feel leave her reeling. Once again Aviva’s vivid descriptions allow you to imagine the things and places she writes about and you can almost taste the food. I was a little disappointed with Soren and his perspective on some events and really just wanted to sit him down and tell him to wake up. He almost seemed child like with his actions. The fact that Angela kept apologising because of his feelings got my goat up to. Even though I didn’t like it, it worked for the story. There is a lot of passion between our main characters which make for an interesting read. I am wondering where that leaves our characters for the future and am waiting to read the next book to see.

Game Hunter is the first book in the Game Hunter series by Mark Kloss. This is an intriguing Dystopian/paranormal Zombie story- with some sci-fi elements, action, drama, and more. The story is very original- it’s definitely not your typical zombie story. It has a fun, ‘Hunger Games’ meets ‘The Running Man’ meets ‘Warm Bodies’ feel to it that quickly grabbed my attention and kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen. Mr. Kloss is a new-to-me author and I am really pleased that I took a chance on this book. The blurb was intriguing, and the story promised to take me on an action-packed adventure which lured me into purchasing it, and the author certainly delivered the goods. Mr. Kloss takes zombie lore and gives us his own spin on it. He weaves a great story, easily holding my attention from the beginning, till the end. He has crafted interesting and well-developed characters that really made this story even better. The book has a great pace and a smooth flow, although the story did seem to lag in the middle for a while, before picking up again for a strong finish. Overall, it’s a great read and I look forward to book two!

Is This Me is the first book in the Being Me series by Tricia Copeland. It is a New Adult/college/romance- about choices, fitting in, self-discovery, finding out ‘where’ you belong, being true to yourself, dealing with adulthood, being away from the family home/parents, the newfound stress of college life, expectation, and dealing with everything life seems to throw at you. Amanda is beginning her freshman year at college. She is smart, knows what she wants and has a plan. But then Doug turns it all on its head. He’s older, a senior, who has a lot to consider and a lot at stake- but who captivates her attention like nothing she was ever expecting. This leads to choices- choices have consequences- and so Amanda finds herself in a situation she could never have predicted. Things soon feel like they are spiraling out of control. Will they work it out? It’s worth the read to find out… I liked the characters, they were interesting and well developed- although it did take me a little while to warm up to Amanda, but she did grow on me and I ended up liking her a lot more than I thought I would. Doug was great, but he did frustrate me quite a lot with his push-pull and indecisiveness. But overall their portrayals were realistic and believable. The story is set to continue in, “If I Could Fly” book #2.

Arrogant Fiancé is a very sexy collaboration by T.L Smith and Melissa Jane. I am very familiar with both authors, having read Ms. Smith’s ‘Dark Intentions’ series, and Ms. Jane’s ‘Monsters’ and the ‘Bittersweet’ series. I have loved their individual worked, so I was excited by what their writing partnership would produce. To say they got their recipe right is an understatement. What they have delivered is a wonderful, seamless, cohesive and polished piece of work- a real credit to them both! All the controversy that brought about the change from the original title, and the not to be mentioned “C” word, aside, this book is really fantastic and deserves to be read. It has got some angst and drama, but the story never gets too heavy or bogged down by any unwarranted drama. This is a fun and very entertaining read. There is humour, emotion, twists/surprises and some suspense- as well as quite a lot of steam to this tale. The chemistry and tension between the two leading characters was really well portrayed. I was intrigued by their situation, then captivated by them, and quickly became invested in them and their story. This is a forbidden/office romance that kept me hooked right till the very last word! I really recommend this book to anyone looking for a sexy, spicy read that delivers everything the blurb promises, and more! I look forward to reading more collaborations from these two talented authors in the future- after all there were several single, HOT hunks/secondary characters that I would love to see get their own story. Especially Slate…. hint, hint, hint.

Without Apology (Without #1) by Aubrey Bondurant 5 out of 5 stars And they say opposites attract…. Without Apology is the first book in the Without series written by Aubrey Bondurant but it’s not the first book that I have read by her. She is an amazing author… The characters are well written with their quirky personalities and amazing banter. This is a great storyline and the description of the scenery was great also. I fell in love with Simon and Peyton from the first few pages. We have Peyton who is smart, funny, and a math whiz. She is no push over and can gives as good as she gets. She works hard but she also makes time for her family. Simon is British but lives in New York City but is actually more on the road for work then home. They call him the Ice man because of his emotionless approach to his job of acquiring companies for his boss. But when he meets Peyton his world is turn upside down. He doesn’t do feelings but he gets a crash course in feeling. This was a great read we get to see how two work alcoholic’s navigate a relationship and work with a few bumps in the road. I highly recommend this great story written by a great author….
Unexpected Love by Vicki Green is a Juniper Court Novel. It is a sweet starting over/second chances story about overcoming hurt and betrayal- learning to trust and finding unexpected love. This is a charming single father romance that will touch your heart. The Juniper Court Series is a collaboration of seven authors who each produced a standalone story that is set on the same street. There are seven stories and each book is individual and unique to its author, the books may vary in style, content and storyline, but they all have the same inspiration- a person/couple who reside on Juniper Court. This story is Greer Markson’s turn. He is starting over after a painful divorce, building a new life for him and his adorable daughter in their new home on Juniper Court. He is focused on his work and his daughter, he’s not interested in relationships after what had happened. But a night out and a chance encounter are about to change all that. Having ‘heard’ Greer being mentioned in some of the other books in the series, it was great to finally meet him and get to know more about him. The author cleverly uses flashbacks and memories in conjunction with current events to tell us the story. Although this gave us interesting information and perspective, there were times that it disrupted the flow of the book, making it a little choppy in places. The characters were great and had wonderful chemistry. They really were made for each other. Embry, Greer’s three year old daughter, was so cute and a great addition to the story. It is a very quick read that was quite fun and not too heavy.

Dissension is the Deliverance series by Kristy Centeno. It is a fantastic paranormal story- with action, drama, thrills, excitement, edge of your seat suspense, gripping danger, supernatural elements, romance, and much more. There is so much packed in-between the covers of this book- the story pulled me in and kept me hooked right till the end. The story picks up a few months after the events in Deliverance (Book #1) and we are thrown right into the action. I have to say that it is every bit as good as the first book and I was so engrossed in it that I read it in one sitting. Although this could be read as a standalone if you wanted to, I really recommend reading the first book to get all the backstory, character information and other relevant details that will enhance your reading experience of this book. It has been 6 months since the Institute was destroyed and all the captives were liberated. Hayden has spent the time adjusting to the world outside, building a life with Kristina. He is a very quick learner, but the transition hasn’t been easy. But now they discover that Gerald Radcliff’s business associates are determined to recreate what Gerald had achieved and pick up where he had left off. They have been scouring the countryside looking for all the hybrids, recapturing them for more experimentation. His life just became even more dangerous and will set off a new chain of events that will trust them ll into a new battle. There is a lot at stake, and Hayden will discover more about his past in the process. Ms. Centeno has written such a powerful, detailed and vibrant story- she had me on the edge of my seat, following along to see what would happen. The story had twists and surprises that I didn’t see coming-all I could do was hold onto my seat and enjoy the ride. The author has done an amazing job with her character development, as I was completely under their spell from beginning to end. The characters were fully realised, with their own unique traits and personalities. There was a lot of love, skill and attention to detail put into their conception and actualization. This is a superb second instalment to the series and I look forward to more from Ms. Centeno!

The Long Road to Serenity is a sweet young adult friends to lovers romance story that found a way into my heart. The story flowed easily and was not rushed trying to get to the finish line. It slowly evolved and developed over time as our main characters “grew up”. You can’t help but to be drawn into their lives and into the story.
Astraea and Gabriel met when they were young children and together they grew and blossomed, but when things change promises that were made were broken. Love that was strong gave way to hurt. Lifelong bonds became shattered. Will they ever be able to find their way back to each other or will hurts from the past stop them? Will they be able to face their past and grow as individuals to find true love?

This is my first book by this author and I can honestly say it will not be my last. I loved every single thing about this story. The way she went back to the beginning to two young children meeting for the first time and forming a friendship was awesome. There was just enough in each part of the dated chapters for me to feel the relationship that was forming between Astraea and Gabriel, and I truly appreciated this story being told by both of them, having both of their thoughts and feelings made this story that much more special.
The twists and turns in their friendship was so real, I felt as they grew that it was awesome that it wasn’t all wine and roses and that real life can play havoc on any friendship, especially real life that includes fighting in combat in the Middle East and dealing with all of the after effects that brings.
I loved every one of the main characters in this story, I loved how the closeness that Astraea and Gabriel shared was shared and accepted by all the Varon brothers and how she became the little sister none of them thought they wanted. This was just an all around perfect story, one that had me reading every single second I could. I absolutely saw the drama coming but how it was all written was spot on!! The ending Oh My Word..I think I cried through the entire epilogue.
I want more!! I think Jasmine should get a story and each one of the Varon brothers as well, if this were to happen I would be the first in line to one click each one!!
Amazingly awesome!! One of those books that deserves a higher rating than we are allowed to give…

Beckoned: From London is the first book in the series which is also the debut for Aviva Vaughn. Our characters all travel to attend a school that offers the best in their chosen fields. It is a story where students become friends and hearts are hurt. Aviva’s vivid descriptions allow you to imagine the things and places she writes about. The characters in this story are enjoyable and connectable and and make you relive some of your youth. Will love be found or will missed chances mean lost love? This is a good story from start to finish and there is a lot of passion between our main characters.

Open Season by Alisa Schindler is a who’s done it type story that will keep you guessing until the very end as to who murdered the coach. The list of suspects is just about as long as the book. Just when you think that you have worked it out Alisa throws a spanner into the works and twist it right around. Trying to piece it together to solve the mystery is near impossible. The book was written in an unusual way and it took me a while to get used to it. getting used to but by the end I think it actually fitted the storyline and plot well. There are a lot of characters in this book and I am not sure I connected to them but it is an interesting read.

Blood Heart is book three in the Immortal Curse series and has become on of my favourite series. This is a paranormal romance that is weaved and written so well you literally feel like you are part of the world that Lexi has conjured. I loved the first two books in this series and have loved every part of this story even more. This is one hell of a story as you are on the edge of your seat the entire time. The stories just keep on getting better with each book written. Lexi has ensured this story is action packed and has lots of twist you don’t see coming and you will find yourself completely immersed in each and everyone one of these lovable characters.
The next book in the series seriously can not come soon enough.
The Monster That Ate My Mommy by Jessica Aiken-Hall is an amazing memoir written by a very courageous woman. Jessica give us a look into her horrible, sad and depressing life. It is raw and emotional journey that has made her into the strong woman she is today. It is powerful, depressing, heartbreaking true account of everything she went through. I applaud you for sharing your life and your heart and every soul destroying thing you had to live through. But for all that Jessica endured she came out fighting and found her way in life with the support of those who love her. It is well written and I felt like I was there with Jessica throughout it all.

Blood Heart is the third book in the Immortal Curse Series by Lexi C. Foss. This is such a breathtaking instalment in a spellbinding series, that has captured my imagination and imprinted itself on my heart and mind. I was seduced right from the beginning. It is a superb paranormal romance with action, adventure, suspense, drama, immortals, violence, danger, sexy strong women and panty melting Alpha male types, wonderful romance and very erotic encounters. But, before you dive in- be warned… this is seriously addicting reading! Be prepared to be blown away and end up going on a one-click frenzy to purchase all of the author’s other books. As this is the third book in the series, I really recommend reading both the other books in their correct sequence, before starting this story- because, even though the books are based on different characters, there is a continuing/bridging story which is laid out in the first book and continues into each of the following stories. They introduce characters, back stories and other relevant information that make this book even more enjoyable, knowing all those details first. I adored the first two books so much and was really excited to get my hands on this book. Having ‘met’ the central character in previous books, I was intrigued by them and the premise of their story. I must admit that I was a little worried that I may not like it as much as the previous books. But, Ms. Foss didn’t let me down, as this story is every bit as good as the others and is a PERFECT addition to the series. This story picks up a little after the events in ‘Forbidden Bonds’ and had me completely enthralled from the very first page. I was turning those pages as fast as I could, perched on the edge of my seat, and breathless with anticipation. There were so many twists, turns, and jaw dropping revelations that I was in awe of Ms. Foss, her creativity and talent are truly phenomenal! I was completely and utterly captivated…. I couldn’t put it down even if I had wanted to, which I didn’t, I NEEDED to know what would happen and where Ms. Foss would take us. I read it in one session. I can’t begin to do this story the justice it deserves, so I am not even going to try to give you a rundown of the synopsis. The blurb does a better job than I ever could. I think diving in and immersing yourself in the story is the best way to truly appreciate it- AFTER reading the first two books, of course. All I can say is that if you are a paranormal/fantasy/romance lover and you haven’t read this series, or are not familiar with Ms. Foss’s books, then you ARE really missing out and really should do yourself a favour by one-clicking the fudge out of her work… you are bound to love it/them just as much as I have/do! Sublime!

Beckoned: From Bath with Love is the second part of the “Beckoned” series by Aviva Vaughn. The story picks up right where book one finished, so I really recommend that you read the first book before beginning this one to get the best reading experience. This is a slow-burn, contemporary women’s fiction- that is jam packed full of vibrant and vivid descriptions of travel, adventure, food, longing, second chances, and romance. The book is a very quick and easy read, but the content certainly isn’t lacking. The author packed a lot into this book and it felt like a much longer novel, in a good way. I am really enjoying this series, following Angela and Soren on their journey. This book delves into their emotional mind sets, and we got to see a little more of their characters. There was insecurity, jealousy, push-pull, drama, and some complexity to their situation, that I thought made this story stand out a little more from the first. As with the first book, I loved Ms. Vaughn’s attention to detail, and the way she used her words to bring Bath/London to life. I felt like I was right there with them. The book has a fast pace and a smooth flow. And as with the first story, it still retains the ‘classic’ feel, much like a Jane Austin novel. The writers style is smooth, inviting and very easy to read. She made me want to find out what would happen next, I really want to know where the story will lead, so I have already dived into the next book, that review will follow very soon!

The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a wonderful, sexy, sweet and fun- a light-hearted story that captivated me right from the beginning. This follows on from ‘Stripped’, and although this story is focused on different characters, we do get to catch up with Mal and Becks from book one, too. I really enjoy Ms. Ander’s writing, I have read a lot of her books now and she never disappoints. I loved Stripped, and this story is a worthy companion to that book. This is Jacks (Mal from Stripped best friend and business partner) and Cam’s (Mal’s younger sister) story, and we catch up with them the morning after their drunken hook-up at Mal and Becks’ wedding. Jacks memory of the night is rather hazy to say the least, and even though he is very interested in Cam, he doesn’t want to cause any problems with his best friend Mal and would rather pretend the night never happened. So, they all head home and Becks does a great job of avoiding Cam for a couple of weeks- until she turns up on his doorstep needing somewhere to stay as she has nowhere else to go. So, he ends up with a house guest and his world will never be the same? What happens you ask? You really should read all the details for yourself- because it has so much going for it….. its playful, funny, sexy, spicy, romantic, and quite emotional at times- and I was hook right from the get-go! Looking forward to more!

The Long Road to Serenity by M.L Garcia is a friends-to-lovers story and the first book that I have read from this author. I really didn’t know what to expect going into the book and can now say that the author took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride, that had me zipping through a myriad of feelings before finally setting me back on my feet again, happier for the experience. It seemed to me that the story read like a journal in parts and I am still not sure or if I liked or dislike it. I did enjoy the story and liked the characters, even though they frustrated me at times, especially with the push-pull that happened. The story touches on several sensitive topics, which I think the author handled compassionately, while still depicting them in an informative, realistic and believable way. The characters do go through quite a lot and have some fairly intense issues and obstacles to get over. I liked how the author brought it all together in the end.

So the name of the book was changed from Take Me, and is now titled TEASE ME but isn’t updated here. I wish it showed a the cover picture, because it is very sexy! This is the second book in the Dirty Royals Series by Kaye Blue. It is a friends to lovers/contemporary romance, with just enough drama and angst to keep things interesting. This is my second book by Kaye Blue and it’s every bit as good as the first. The characters a re fantastic, fully developed, interesting and likeable. They grew and evolved as the story progressed which made for some entertaining reading. Dallas and Kristian have been friends for about 10 years. They have a great friendship, which evolves into more as the story unfolded. It really gets interesting when Dallas asks Kristian for a favour of sorts. He can’t believe it, and says no. But then when he thinks about it, he can’t stand the thought of someone else ‘helping’ her with her ‘problem’. And both their worlds get turned upside down. What happens to their friendship? Will things ever be the same between them? Will this strengthen their bond, or destroy it completely? A sweet read!
