Handle With Care is the first book in the Chase Care series, which is a spin-off from the Chase Security series which is one of my favourite series. I was so glad to jump back into the Chase world and this certainly did not disappoint. Far, far from it!
When reviewing a book like this, I realise that I give to many 5 star ratings. By this I mean that this book is so good that I feel that it deserves more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it.
At over 500 pages, this is not a short read, but in all honesty I could have read another 500 pages of this story. I was totally engrossed in this book and hated having to put it down to go back to the ‘real’ world.
Hunter and Selma are 2 fascinating characters among a large cast of characters, many of whom I loved and others I hated. Hunter and Selma’s story is so much more than a romance story. This story has soooo much drama. It really is edge of your seat, heart in your mouth reading as characters lives are hanging on by the thinnest of threads.
This is a book that I know I will read again and I can’t wait for more in this series.

Last year Caspian received a Magic Wand from his grandfather. It could speed up and slow down time. In this story, his cousin Belinda asks for a Magic Wand because she wants to be able to do the same. It is pretty cool to speed up time through things you might not like so much and slow down time to enjoy the things you love. Speeding up time through an earthquake, getting out of the house safely, and running fast are just some of the things Belinda does in her adventure.
As always, Lois Wickman’s books are a great read for children!

Talisman is the exciting first book in the Talisman series of Celtic Urban Fantasy Romance. It utilises the soulmate trope – every warrior has to find his talisman between the age of 21 and 28 or face dire consequences. Rowan, the warrior in this book, is 3 months from his 28th birthday so the pressure is on.
This is a captivating story, with plenty of world-building drawing on Celtic history, culture and mythology. There’s lots of action, as Rowan and Alyssa face supernatural forces determined to keep them apart. There’s also plenty of research scenes as Alyssa works on her masters thesis and tries to learn more about her family history!
This is the perfect read for when you’re staying warm with a snow storm outside, would definitely recommend it! Although don’t feel like you have to wait for snow to enjoy it. Talisman gets five stars from me and if you enjoy urban and Celtic fantasy I’m sure you’ll love it!

This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. However I enjoyed this book so much I will definstely be going back to read the other books in the series.
This is a short read but it is full of chemistry, attraction, danger, and heartbreak so you learn about this couples past and their present.

Kasper has always been a love them and leave them type of guy, never staying with one woman too long that is until he fell for Krysta. Krysta is his best friends little sister so their relationship is kept secret but their is no denying their feelings for each other are real.
But that is in the past. 1 stupid mistake by Kasper ended their love and destroyed Krysta in the process.

Now Krysta is trying to move on with her life and maybe settle down, however Kasper isn’t prepared to let her go and wants a second chance but is it too little too late.
When Krysta is taken Kasper is now faced with the fear of losing the woman he loves for a second time and this time in a more permanent way.
Will Kasper find Krysta in time and make up for his past mistakes? Or will it ne too little too late? One things for sure he’s determined to not give up until he has her back where she belongs. Safe and in his arms.

April and Thomas shared an out of this world experience in the first book. Now they are both ready to go back and explore more. After research and hard work, April believes she has found them a way back. The planning into this trip is a bit more than before, but now they will not be starting close to home. Once everything is in place the two are off. They hope to visit Flick and explore areas they didnt get to last time. Once the two pass through the entrance they realize this may not be as simple as they thought. Sand like substance as far as the eye can see, no evidence of the ocean they expected. Just how much time had passed in this place? Will they be able to complete they trip they planned? Will Flick still be alive? Will his planet even exist not? What will they experience on this trip?

Stevens did an amazing job picking up from where the first story left off. The story draws you in from the start keeping you emerged throughout. I can not wait to see how this trilogy rounds out. It is defiantly worth the right though I do suggest starting with book 1.

Growing up to stories of Vampires Alessia developed a soft spot. This however, does not mean when Master Catteneo comes knocking, looking for her grandma, to have a reading done using the scarf a missing mate, she will back down in defense of her ailing grandma. She has a few powers of her own. Sparks fly between the two. Will Catteneo get the reading he so desperately needs? Will Alessia and Catteneo be able to work together? Will they give in to the draw of the other? Will they be able to find the missing mates?

I thoroughly enjoyed this installment of the Masters of the Consulate series. Black has continued to keep you drawn into the story will great characters and story lines. I do wish there was a bit more backstory for Catteneo. While this and all the others in the series can be read as stand alone, I would read them in order as there is a story line continued through all. I would recommend giving this whole series a read. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Will he get his pardon, living on in freedom? Wickstrom has done it again with her quarky and cute characters and attributing illustrations.

Work with other animals to solve crimes and mysteries among themselves? Stroll the forest? His owners decide to find out just what it is. They place a camera on his collar so they can watch and find out what he gets up to. But will the camera provide the answers they hope for?

This story is well told and gorgeously illustrated. My niece and nephew also really enjoyed the activities included at the end of the story. I would recommend this story for any elementary age child. It is worth the read.

Deeply affected by the Covid pandemic, both by loss and a near death experience of her own, Carina is questioning her life. She joins an online grief support group to help her work through her losses of the last year. She is also contemplating who she is. Is she only the caregiver she has been for years? Her children are all adults with families of their own. Is she a good wife? She feels that her and her husband are taking each other for granted. Who is she if not the caregiver, wife, mother? Has she burying herself so deep that she has lost who she is without it? Throughout this though process Carina decided she would like a large Christmas with all her children and grandchildren. Unfortunately everyone including her husband are unable to commit. The young man she has grown close to through grief therapy makes her an offer she just can not refuse – the use of his family’s cabin in Colorado. Carina could at least have her white Christmas. Will she find the courage to go the trip alone? If she does, will she find answers to those things she has been contemplating Will she find peace, allowing her to move forward in her life not stay stuck on her loss?

Though this was the first story of Swann’s that I have read, I greatly enjoyed it. The characters are easy to relate to. I enjoyed the self growth as well as the relationships between the characters. The setting sounds gorgeous. I would recommend this book to others.

Set during the restrictive lock downs taking place in early 2020, at the beginning of the Global Covid pandemic, Debbie struggles knowing her mother has caught the virus while quarantined somewhere else. Normally her husband Matt is her support system, but due to the lock down; He is forced to quarantine elsewhere. There is one bright spot for Debbie, her friend and co-worker Gary is quarantining with her children and her. As things progress and Debbie’s personal life spirals, Gary decides he will help his friend. She knows he has a past, but not the details, although she has tried before to drag it out of him. In order to distract Debbie, he is FINALLY willing to tell her his tale. Is Gary’s past filled with tragedy Loss? Is he running from a past that haunts him? Did he just simply want a fresh start?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, a first, for me, by Beach. While I was able to follow the plot easily and this story can be read as a standalone, I plan on going back to the beginning and seeing if it changes what I got from the story. It was well written, had well developed characters, and plot lines. I would recommend this book to others.

This was the first book by Mari I have picked up and I have to say I was not disappointed. Katarina is in Aruba for work. Her first night there she receives a shock when the man sitting beside her collapses and requires CPR. While she is administering CPR another patron, Chase, comes up and switches off chest compressions with her. Once the man is loaded and taken away to get medical treatment. Chase leads Kate to a table and offers dinner. From the beginning the two have sparks flying. Will they give into the sparks for a night? Will Kate make stick to a work only vacation? Where will the sparks lead?

This a well written story: the characters have depth, the story line flows well. I found it to be a quick easy read. I can not wait to see what happens next. I would recommend this series!

Will Adrik be able to keep Annika safe? Will the two find love?

This is the first book by Georgeson I have read, and I will definitely be reading more. I enjoyed the depth the characters have as well as the little details that paint a more vivid picture. I really enjoyed this story and would recommend it to others.

This is the first book by Dunn I have read. I truly enjoyed the writing style, the complexity of the stories, and how the characters have dimensions. I look forward to the next book in the Chase Care Series.

Finn is an actor with a tarnished reputation. His agent advises him to agree to the reality TV show as a way to show a different side of himself and a bonus help his reputation. Finn agrees planning to treat the experience like it is just another acting job.

Both Finn and Abi have their own reasons for doing the show, but will they make it to the end? Will they get along? Like each other? Find the other attractive? Will the two be able to make the next three months easy or will personalities clash making for a miserable time?

This was the first book by Bevan I have read, and I can’t wait to pick up my next. The story had a little bit of everything. I would recommend reading Abi and Finn’s story.

Abi is an everyday woman. Finn is Hollywood royalty. They had never met, until it was time to get married!

The blurb I read seemed a bit unrealistic, but I am so glad I read this book! At the beginning, Abi appreciates Finn’s beauty, but…that’s about it. There aren’t a lot of desirable qualities to start with, but you keep seeing him in between all the attitude. By the end, I was rooting hard for Finn and Abi and really loved how deep and well written they are.

Great characters, fun world building…read this book!

This book was fantastic. I loved the ferocity of Emelia. She is not one mafia princess that I would mess with. Best book of the series so far!!!

Emelia knew she was in danger when her father told her and her brother to flee. When she was found Emelia thought it was the end. Little did she know it was just the beginning.

Dominic was a vicious soldier and knew what he needed to do. Dominic thought he was lucky to capture the two youngest DeRosa children. He knew his Don would be pleased, they would have the edge. But things never go to plan. Not only that, a strange protective instinct when it comes to Emelia has blossomed. Dominic will do what he has to do to save his family but will that cost him his new obsession, Emelia?

I loved the action, the banter, the tenderness Dom shows, the cunning Emelia possesses and all of it. Emelia is badass!!! I absolutely despise what happened to Leo. My heart ached for Emelia. I can’t wait for the wedding!! Totally loving this series!!

An entertaining romance built around a Celtic myth! I fell in love with this tale of Rowan and Alyssa. He must break a curse and needs her. Oh, the adventures that include all the figures you would expect: the druids, fairies, bairds, etc. This story is so well-written and planned out. I was glued to it from the beginning. I am a big fan of anything that feels like time-travel. Romance makes it even better. I could feel the chemistry between these two. All the characters were done well and just all tied in to the story in such a way to entertain. My husband kept wanting to know what I was reading because I kept smiling as I read. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series as this is book !.

Delicious Death is the second book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries and is a fast paced story that I devoured in one sitting. I recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already started as this one picks up not to long after the first one ended ,plus you get to know the characters better and what’s been going on up to this point. I Enjoyed reading this fast paced well written Historical Mystery that had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

So did reopening her estranged father’s hardware store. But now she isn’t so sure. She meets Jake at a store that she got from her father. She likes Jake and doesn’t know what to next. You have to read the rest of book to see what happens. I can’t wait read more from this author.

This was a good 4 star read. This is Pedro and Anne’s story. I really liked these characters. When Anne shows up on Pedro’s doorstep he mistakes her for someone else at first. There is a big twist that forces them to flee. As they spend more time together their connection grows. The author does a great job with her writing. She builds the characters up so great and you can’t wait to see where their journey will take them. Will they get a HEA? If you’re looking for a historical romance I suggest you 1-click and get started on this one. I look forward to reading more from her.

I enjoyed Delicious Death. I think I may have enjoyed it more than book 1 in this series. The author brings us back to Alenbonne and into Madame Chalamet’s life. This time it seems to be a bigger adventure and a bigger mystery.
The resident Ghost Talker has been invited to The Winter Revels by the king. This season’s competition is among 6 chefs across the land. Of course Madame Chalamet feels Duke Archambeau is behind it. But what happens when all the fun and games turns serious. Someone poisoned the King and with all these people in the same place from high society as well as common, anyone could’ve done it.
Together and apart the Duke and Madame start an investigation to get to the bottom of it. Despite everything the push and pull between them, they make a great team. It could also be that the author is showing more chemistry between them within the writing.
I look forward to continuing on into this series!

Ghost Talker was interesting. I struggled to get into it at first but the author wrote an interesting mystery with a supernatural element. I’m a sucker for the supernatural, books of fiction in this genre have always intrigued me. Ghost Talker was no different.
Madame Chalamet has been brought into an investigation that lands her in house arrest. All because of what the spirit revealed to her. Revealing who he was and what relations said person has, Duke Archambeau felt he needed to keep a close eye on her. Despite being present in the morgue of the spirit talking he still had his doubts about Madame Chalamet’s profession.
Forced to work together to solve the murder and keep the peace treaty signing in order, the Duke and Madame find as much as they frustrate one another they also entertain as well.
The mystery the author lays before you is different because ghosts are helping to lead the investigation. But that different element makes it stand out. Keeps the book in the reader’s mind even after they are done. Makes one look forward to more books in this series. As well as what could develop between the Madame and Duke.

This review is going to be hard to write without spoilers but I’ll do my best!

First of all, this is a stand alone book but I HIGHLY recommend reading book 1 (The True Purpose of Vines: An intoxicating historical romance about wine and love.) so you can have a proper understanding of Pedro. Reading this book first will probably ruin a lot of things for you!

I HATED Pedro in the first book. I mean, a deep loathing for the man. I can’t say that now. He’s found a way to redeem himself with the way he’s handled Anne. It took me awhile to be able to say that but he’s earned his redemption!

Anne is helping out her sister-in-law with the vines and dealing with an outbreak of Phylloxera when she meets Pedro. Anne is a polar opposite of Pedro, along with several years younger.

Can Anne show Pedro how to be a decent human being? Will Pedro find his redemption and deal with his past?

There’s a little bit of everything to love in this book. A great historical based story that includes some humor, spicy romance, and a redeeming heart!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The Taste of Light is the second book in A Winemakers Series. I love the writing style and how the author put the words together.

Anne moves to help her brother and sister in law. Once she gets there she finds herself wishing for true love. She wants someone to love her unconditionally. Then she meets Pedro and things become difficult. Can she make it work? The quote I chose for Anne is: “When Griffin came to live here, he was an adult, but I was not yet your age. Plus, my best friend is Portuguese.”

Pedro loses his bride to someone else. Winemaking became his passion after that. Then he meets Anne. He finds himself falling for her, but that causes some trouble. Can he forgive his past? The quote I chose for Pedro is: “If by courting you mean to pay for her brother’s debts and not require a dowry, then yes.”

Highly recommended for Historical Romance lovers.

Kendall was the annoying little sister that had a crush on her brothers best friend growing up. So when she shows up at his house, he’s blown away with how grown she is now. Will he fall for the girl even if it means he’s “betraying” his best friend? The angst, the spice..I’m OBSESSED. Kendall and Pete make a deal but will they both keep their word? Or fall head over heels in love with each other? The brothers best friend trope is one of my favorites and I couldn’t put this book down. I finished it in a few hours. Great characters and great story! ABSOLUTELY READ THIS! I’m onto the next book in the series because I can’t get enough! 5 stars for me! 😍
