This is the first book in this series. Sully, the MMC, is the son of Asmodeus, a demon prince. He was raised by foster parents until he was sent to a monestary for his protection. He discovers his purpose and, along his way, meets Mick who’s friend is missing. He agrees to help the lovely bartender and their story takes you away. This was a great first book and I can’t wait for the second!

Nite Fire: Exit Strategy is an incredible story! This is the first book that I have read/ listened to by C. L. Schneider. From the first word, I was propelled into an incredible action scene and an apocalypse to boot. The action and suspense are present throughout the book. I did not want to stop listening for a minute!
The audiobook quality and the pacing are amazing. Dahlia’s voice is what I expected and her personality shines through. Some of the other male characters’ voices can be a little annoying but overall I thought the performance was great. During some of the intense scenes, the narrator slows down to really provide the needed impact.
Even though there were previous books that I have not read I was able to understand the story and fell in love the with characters. Dahlia is a strong female character lead. The authors’ descriptions of the places and the creatures gave me clear visuals of the world. I love how Dahlias’ shifting is described. I cannot wait to read/ listen to the rest of the series!

I enjoyed this book. It had lots of drama and a very interesting storyline. I am intrigued with stories that have heroes who are demons. I like to think there can be good in all things. This author has created a vibrant world and I found myself immersed in it. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Married Blind: A Marriage of Convenience was a great romance book. Finn is one of the “Kings of Screen”, in Hollywood, with a bad boy reputation. He had a relationship that destroyed his image and continued to make poor decisions. His agent thought it would be best to marry a stranger on the show “Married Blind” to improve his image, but he would not be marrying another celebrity. Abi is a woman living in New York taking care of her sister who is in remission from cancer. They need help paying off their medical bills and this show is willing to pay her to marry a celebrity. Both go into the marriage thinking it is a stunt to improve both of their lives, but when both are highly attracted to each other that task becomes difficult. After their honeymoon, they both decide to give it a real try. However, will Abi’s responsibilities lead her away from love, and/or will Finn’s history get in the way of trusting a relationship can work? I just adored the characters in this book, and they had great banter. The spicy scenes were pretty good too. Finn just screamed Hollywood hotty to me! He was portrayed as a playboy, but someone who didn’t want to be. He was honest, but brutal at times. However, when he let his guard down, you could not help but fall in love with him. He loves hard and honestly, but can’t let his past go. Abi is adorable. From the beginning, she is sassy and strong but also caring. However, like Finn, she also can overthink, which leads to miscommunication. I would say that young people should read more books where miscommunication is the main issue – things can be solved so easily if someone just speaks lol!

Falling Home was the first book I’ve read by Libby Kay. Fortunately for me, it is part of the Buckeye Falls series, I truly look forward to reading more from this author. I loved the story of Max and Ginny and the fact that while the story is centered on whether they’ll find their way back to love, it is also a story about family. Having recently lost my mother, I have a great respect for the father/daughter love portrayed in this book. I found the plot to be cozy and light and truly a nice read. It was a great story to kick off my new year!

This is an enjoyable and engaging stand alone romance, which kept me happily turning the pages. Jasmine Hayes runs her company, ‘Divine Events’ and organises events for the social elite. Meanwhile, James is a drunk who has a string of bad business decisions behind him, however, he also comes from the rich Conners family, who are the closest thing to royalty in New England. Two years ago he was told to sort his life out, and now James is about to marry Cadence, and then will be able to get the money he needs to start a new venture. The only problem is that when James meets Jasmine, his fiancé’s best friend and their wedding planner, he recognises her as the woman who he has not stopped thinking about since meeting her.
Jasmine, can’t believe the man that her best friend is marrying is the one who kissed her silly and swept her off her feet. What Jasmine does not know is that James and Cadence have a secret contract, which states they will have a mutually agreeable and quick divorce. I loved the main characters, as they are all likeable and relatable in their own ways. Their relationships come across as very realistic, and they all brought something different to the story. The chemistry between James and Jasmine really came through in the narrative, but I also loved the dynamics between all three main characters. This was a lighthearted and heartwarming romance which had a HEA.

This is definitely an interesting and original read. I was captivated and pulled in this story full of angels, demons, danger, romance, self discovery, and array of characters. As I read on, I was intrigued by Sully’s journey to self discovery. When he met Mick so much more revealed about himself and about her. Sully has been a demon hunter for as long as he can remember and now that he’s finding out more about himself he has to change some of his ways of thinking. I can’t wait to read what comes next. I highly recommend this book.

As a fan of the show supernatural this book really appealed too me. I thought the concept was interesting and quickly became engrossed in what was happening. I thought the characters were all great. Each had their part to play and it felt like they all contributed to the overall story development. This is an author I have only n recently become familiar with but so far I am enjoying her work. This book has been my favourite so far and I am looking forward to the next book.

Angels and Demons and Humans, Oh My! Sully is a demon hunter. He walks into a bar and meets Mick, and that is the beginning of the tumult. While this is not normally the type of book I would read, I was not disappointed. This book had a nice flow and kept me coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This book is a great feel-good way to bring magic into your everyday life. It’s also a guide to simply find your way to bring yourself back to taking care of yourself in this world that has a tendency to suck the life right out of you. It isn’t a super hocus pocus flashy book about casting spells and cursing people. This is a book that is more about finding the magic that is all around us in the world and that anyone can harness. As a pagan myself I found it to be a beautiful reminder to slow down and really embrace the beautiful and magical world we live in.

This was a really enjoyable romance. The author does an amazing job with the characters. The characters are both fun and witty and they have backstories which really make them come alive. This is a story about meeting the one for you but things and circumstances being in the way.
James Conner is know as a drunk. His life has spiralled out of control but now he’s determined to get it back on track and a marriage of convenience seems like a the right idea. Or so he thought. What he didn’t anticipate was meeting the wedding planner and his future brides best friend and sharing a kiss with her that blows his mind.
Jasmine Hayes is a successful business woman. She takes no prisoners and is a straight talker. She runs her business with her best friend so when she gets a call about an emergency she rushes to her aid not realising she would come face to face and lips to lips with the man of her dreams. However there is one problem. He is promised to her best friend and she wants Jasmine to plan the wedding.
So this is where we find our couple. Both feeling the spark between them but unable to do anything about it. Will there ever be a time for them to be together? Will James be able to pull his life back on track and if he can will Jasmine be a part of it? This story is full of laughed and tears which makes it an emotional read that you can’t put down.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Night Hawke is a fun little read. It’s short and to the point. I can’t wait for the full story. Night Hawke is the Prequel to A Second Generation Hawke Family.
Isaac out with his brother finds a redhead he can’t wait to get to know. A redhead he didn’t give his name to. He didn’t give her his name either. The quote I chose for Isaac is: “Good, me either. Well what a way to start of my reading for 2023! I absolutely ADORE this author and the first book I ever read by her Savage Collison is still by far one of the best books I have ever read and over the years I have been fortunate to read so many of her books so when I saw this one I didn’t even bother reading the blurb I just grabbed it and as usual it was phenomenal! It is a prequel to the Hawke family series and sets the scene between the two characters Jack and Isaac just perfectly and I absolutely cannot wait to read more about them and start this new series. I have to say this book isn’t my usual genre to read but I thought I would give it a go as I’m familiar with the author and have enjoyed her previous work and I have to say this is probably one of my favourite stories from her. The connection between the characters was just amazing, so genuine and real. I could honestly feel the characters emotions pouring off the pages. I could feel the genuine angst they were feeling about what was happening and the way they thought about other involved in the situation as well. It was beautifully written and explored and explained a different type of relationship really well. A definite must read!
This was a really great read. I loved the characters and the idea behind the storyline. I think it was a really relatable story and this made me love it even more. I loved the characters especially Abi, she was such a lovely person and with everything she was going through I really felt for her at times. I think I pretty much fell in love with Finn straight away! He was definitely worthy of that book boyfriend title! There was a great amount of chemistry between the two that didn’t feel forced. I loved the humour in the story and this just made it even more entertaining to read. Although this is the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone and I cannot recommend it enough! A great 5 star read!!

Ever since finishing book 1 in this series I’ve been looking forward to the second and it didn’t disappoint! I love how the author made me feel part of the story and that I was right there with Elinor trying to figure things out. I really enjoyed the angst going on between Elinor and The Duke – the blossoming slow relationship that’s starting between them is a great addition to the story. This was a great novella and I am definitely looking forward to reading more about Elinor in the next instalment!!!

A one night stand between an attorney and a mystery woman. This book could not get any sexier. You know so little about the two characters, yet you feel like you’ve known them for years. This novel took me less than 3 hours to read. I’m still not sure if that means that it was a short book or if I was too focused on reading to pay attention to anything else. If you are looking for a sexy, mysterious romance, then this is the book for you. I cannot wait to get my hands on the other work by this author, ESPECIALLY the next book to this series. I have read a few books from this amazing author. She continues to blow my mind on her writing style. This is the prequel to the next generation series of the Hawke family. I was so excited to get this story I stopped everything and started reading it immediately. I was so addicted it only took me a couple hours to read this amazing start to another amazing series.
Hawke just graduated law school and now he has to go into the family business. He has only one more night and he is going to make it count. Hawke spots this beautiful redhead that can’t keep her eyes off of him. He spends the night with the beauty but he never got her real name and when he wakes up she is long gone. Gwyn Mcnamee created Night Hawke: A Second Generation Hawke Family Prequel as a taste of what is coming in this series. The book features Issac and the beguiling redhead who uses the name “Jack.” When Issac approaches the woman she gives him the name Jack so he uses the name Nolan. She isn’t worried about this, because both of them seem interested in a one night stand. Issac takes her to a fancy hotel called the Palmer House. Neither of them try to divulge anything about their lives. Issac is leaving Chicago to join his father in a family business, while Jack doesn’t say anything beyond that she grew up in Chicago. The cliffhanger ending left me eager to start this series. The mystery that started when the two met continues into Ruthless Hawke, and I know I am going to pick up a copy to dive into the story.

I haven’t read the first one in this series, but if it is anything like Married Blind, I am addicted. The characters are real, the banter is funny, and the feels are many. Couldn’t put this one down. It is fabulous!!!!
Abi is up to her eyebrows in debt due to her sister’s medical bills. She is working three jobs to help pay them but she is barely keeping her head above water. Abi’s sister finds an ad for a new reality show and convinces Abi’s best friend to ask Abi to apply. Abi doesn’t think she will make it but she does. She will marry a stranger, stay married for 3 months, and then determine if they will stay together or get divorced. The things we do for family.
Finn got burned bad by the woman he thought he loved. He turned to the Hollywood lifestyle everyone thought he lived anyway. After his latest scandal, his agent thinks Finn’s reputation needs some rehab. The idea is to show a different side of Finn to the world, a dedicated, caring, steady husband side. Finn agrees to do the show but is not happy about it and doesn’t plan to make it easy for the producers.
Once Finn meets Abi and starts to get to know her, he thinks he could be in real trouble with her. Both Finn and Abi’s baggage keep them from revealing their true selves to each other. When Abi makes a choice because she doesn’t feel like she has any other options, Finn reacts badly and thinks Abi is just like all the rest, a user. What will it take to make these two drop their walls and let each other in?
I can’t wait for Book 3 to see how Abi and Finn are doing. This book was fan-dang-tastic.

I loved it! I want it to be a movie! My Pearl Heart was well written and had such a strong female lead. The author wrote her with so much potential, that the growth displayed throughout turned out beautifully. If you enjoy sweet forbidden romance? This book falls right into your wheelhouse. Jasmine owns an event planning business with her best friend. Reality her best friend brings in the clients and she does all the work. Cadence walks all over her and the business, and Jasmine lets her. This book turns into a book of self discovery for Jasmine, as well as to cut the toxic people out of her life. Along the way she meets James, who she wants but can’t have. Why? Because he’s engaged to Cadence. How does one navigate feelings they can’t act on? Reality, by walking on eggshells around one another. However the author broadcast that connection and that concept beautifully throughout the book. Now I’m curious to check out what else this author has written. While I do that, you can read this!!

Night Hawke is a steamy short story about two people who anonymously enjoy each other across a weekend. What I mean by enjoying each other is in the physical sense. Jack and Nolan may be their aliases, but their chemistry is off the charts. So will a weekend be enough? The author wrote a fun, hot, steamy, passionate story that I wanted more of. Every once in a while I look for a book like this to read. All the good ones are always short, like this one. They also always leave one wanting more. I might’ve found a new favorite author. Only time will tell. This was my first taste and I’m now planning on looking into other books written by the same author, to see if my hunch is correct. If you want a short and steamy story this book is for you!!

Fast paced and easy read is always a plus. One night stand that leads to a two night stand. Jack knows this can’t last and leaves in the morning. Lovable and relatable characters. I highly recommend this series short and sweet.

This book is a steamy romance that sets up a forthcoming series that I can’t wait to get my hands on. While I am waiting, I may just have to back up and pick up the first series. This book functions as a standalone, and is great to read just as is, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting more. Isaac and “Jack” meet at a bar, and decide to spend two hot days and nights together, without telling each other their true identities or any other identifying information. What was supposed to be a fun time with plenty of sex and no strings attached doesn’t exactly stay that way, as they both start to feel things they don’t necessarily intend to feel. Then, Jack walks away just as she always said she would, leaving the book on a cliffhanger that makes you want to know more.
