This was such a fantastic book! I loved Austin and Casey, they have amazing chemistry! When Austin and Casey meet Austin is still hung up on Mavis, who did him a favor and chose his twin brother Josh over him. Austin instantly feels something for Casey but can’t quite move on from his feelings for Mavis. When he has an opportunity to move from sunny LA to the Windy City he jumps at the chance, and this is when his feelings for Casey truly grow and develop.
I loved how their relationship grew and they worked through their problems. As someone who often doubts herself and lacks confidence Casey is very relatable to me. I love how Austin believed in and supported her and her dreams, and was always pushing her to believe in herself and chase after what she wants! I think we all need someone like that in our corner.

A sweet Christmas story. The Perfect Mrs. Claus is the book you cuddle up with a mug of hot chocolate on a cool December day. A wonderful story when all is said and done. If I had one knock on it, it’s the constant flashbacks. Early on they were all over the place and I was really confused. As the book progressed the author cleaned up the transition between past and present. I still think it was a lot though. And just because I say that doesn’t mean that takes away from the story the author wrote. This book is about love, loss, and hope. What Savannah accomplishes in this book reminds me of what I wish I could do. To selflessly help others in ways I currently can’t. Doesn’t always work out that way, but I hope my life leads me there some day. Matthew and Savannah are two lonely souls. Both of their children are overseas. Savannah is a widow, while Matthew is a divorcée. What are the odds life leads them to one in an unexpected way? He’s in charge of the yearly Christmas display and he needs a Mrs.Claus. In walks Savannah into the store that will change their lives forever. The growth of these characters individually as well as together is beautifully written. It makes you root for these characters and makes you keep turning the page. If you enjoy Christmas novels it’s worth a read!
This was a great 5 star read. I loved this prequel to the series. We get a glimpse at the girls before the huge twist that changed their lives. It was nice to see how they bonded and grew closer. We also got to see the men as well. We get all sorts of twists and turns. This novella does a great job of leading you into the series. Having read all of the books first this was a nice way to get some answers to some questions I had. I highly suggest this series, the author does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing and you will love all of the characters. 1-click and get started today.

She did it again! I am in love with the Bennett family including the dogs Jaxon and Delia. They are all so good to everyone including each other, I would love to have them for my family.
This was so much more than a romance to me. The importance of family was also something I got from this book. Definitely made me wish the family I grew in was like this, but I did realize how loving and supportive the family I have made is.
Ted has proven he would do anything for Robyn, the woman he loves and now they have the opportunity to make up for lost time. He works hard with the family farm and trying to keep on the straight and narrow.
I got lost in this book almost immediately and enjoyed every second.

I loved this book of short stories all around Christmas! I would feel a little bummed everytime I turned the page and it started a new story. I wanted to keep reading and getting to know the characters and story lines. I loved the characters, the settings, the story lines, and the holiday spirit! The authors did a great job telling the whole story in just a few chapters. I felt like I got to know each of the characters and loved them enough to care about what happened to them. I have looked up each of the authors and added their books to my to-read list. This was a perfect collection of stories to get me in the holiday mood!

This is my second DeBlassie story and I enjoyed this one as well! This story centers around the story of La Llorona, a story of a woman who went mad, drowned her own children in the water, and continues to haunt women to the same fate. Unfortunately for the women in a small town in New Mexico, the danger of enduring the same fate and the life struggles of sacrifice or willingness to stand up for what’s right is a constant plaguing factor. After losing her best friend, Mercy fights her way to break the mold and cycle of this horrible fate and she does whatever is in her ability to not become a victim herself. DeBlassie does such a great job in connecting elements of racism and domestic violence in aspects in which it is familiar and emerges as a source of the story to make those connections.

Mis-Spelled is such an amazingly fun read! T. H. Leatherman is a new author for me, but I can’t wait to read more. Mis-Spelled was full of fantastic, wonderfully written characters. I found the way Leatherman humanized the fairy-tale creatures very entertaining and a great twist on things! There is such great world building that I felt like I was right there with Evan and his entourage walking through the forest, or climbing the stairs in the tree house! There are so many ups and downs in this book, but the ups far outweigh the downs! I love fantasy, and this is one of my new favorites. It being Book 1 in the Stellaluna Chronicles, I am looking forward to the continuation of this story!

A time travel romance book taking place in WWII France which has been occupied by the Nazi’s. One of the main characters Erin, travels back in time through a gift she receives from her late grandmother. At first Erin is not sure where she really is but soon figures it out. Erin must write music and perform it on the piano to keep people and herself safe.
This was an interesting and intriguing book and the author did a wonderful job of describing the locations and characters throughout the book. I enjoyed reading this story not only for the historical and time travel aspect but for the music the intertwined within the story. As a former piano player it was a connection I felt with Erin.
Weep, Woman, Weep was the second book I have read by this author, and I am not disappointed in any way. Maria DeBlassie knows how to grab you in the beginning and take you on a whirlwind adventure throughout her short stories, and I love it!
La Llorona is a spirit that is said to pull women to their deaths in the river, and no one knows how to stop her. The only line of defense they have is to ignore their sorrows and stay away from the river at night. Mercy and her best friend Sherry decide they will break their generational trauma once and for all, but after Sherry becomes inconsolable, the Weeping Woman comes for them. Mercy somehow makes it out alive, alone, but La Llorona is deeply unsettled and wants Mercy’s soul for no one should escape her deadly grasp. Will Mercy be able to break the trauma that holds over their community, or will the river woman finally get what she wants?
I love that Mercy finds her way through plant medicine, as I love anything with witchy vibes and this sure had a ton! I can’t wait to see what the author has in store next. Weep, Woman, Weep is a shorter read but it will still take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend picking this one up!

Carina is reluctant, but takes up an opportunity to spend Christmas in a cabin in Colorado thanks to a friend from her support group. Carina has no idea it it’s the right move or what will become of her Christmas, but this is her chance at healing and finding herself.

This was a wonderful read. The chemistry between the two main characters is undeniable. Things are a little rocky in the beginning with Ted just coming out of his prison time, and the last year of his parole. Bound and determined to stay out of trouble he finally comes home to his family’s Christmas tree farm. He helps out around the place, and one day he heads into town and unknowingly walks into Robyn’s flower shop. They both surprised to see each other and they do some reminiscing. Sparks fly back between the two like their love has never died. Although, Robyn is still in a relationship with Anderson. I love how it handled the relationship between Robyn and Anderson. It was handled a lot better than most people would’ve handled it. The storytelling was amazing, and the re-budding romance between Robyn and Ted pulled at my heartstrings. You got see them fall in love all over again, with some trials sprinkled throughout the story. Do the two lovers end up staying together, or does the past repeat itself and they are taken from each other again?!

Road to the Mansfield is the first gripping book in the Express Investigations series by C.B. Laurence. This intriguing prequel was the perfect way to get me hooked on the series. Telling three stories in one, this wonderful, multi-layered and complex tale introduces the extremely interesting characters, giving us their ‘backstories’, while bringing them together so their paths intersect, and Express Investigations can rise. The characters are all so interesting and dynamic- they have been cleverly crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They pulled me into the story/s and had me invested in them and the outcome of their tale/s. The author has woven a superbly detailed and descriptive historical crime and investigation novel- their attention to detail really brought the whole story to life- weaving a rich tapestry which completely immersed me in the era. With plenty of mysteriousness, dramatic developments, edge of your seat moments, action, adventure, heartache, emotion, tension, intrigue, and more- this book will keep you flipping the pages, reading avidly to discover how everything plays out… I can’t wait to see where we go from here! Defiant Princess was a great way to meet the five families and begin understanding the connections and ties that present themselves in the rest of the series. Defiant Princess follows the five families daughters: Liliana, Sofia, Emiliana, and Marissa in their senior year of college. If you’ve ever considered reading the Mafia Elite series, start here. It’s a great introduction to the five families. I previously enjoyed the Mafia Elite series, so I knew I would love this too! Amy McKinley has an easy writing style that keeps you reading late into the night.
This YA fantasy book is unlike any I have read before. This is my first time reading anything from this author and I’m glad I decided to take a chance. This story is full of magic, danger, suspense, witches, wizards and wonderful characters. The author takes you on an adventure with the attention to detail in the writing of this story. This book leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.

4/5 Stars This is my first read by the author and I liked it. The first journal entry in the first chapter was so raw it drew me in. I will say after that I struggled to stay drawn in but the end of the book hooked me back in. This story is such a heartwarming story overall. Carina is very relatable and the way she handles grief is touching.

This book had me on the edge the entire time, it was a bit of a slow build up. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t amazing! We follow Devlin and Evelyn who are coworkers, Devlin is a massive flirt and womanizer and Eve refuses to see him as anything more than her annoyingly flirtatious partner at their job. But Eve can’t help but appreciate his looks even though his personality annoys the ever-living crap out of her, but when the tension between them becomes too much and Eve’s newly single status has her in a slump. Devlin comes to the rescue by being annoyingly handsome and surprisingly caring and attentive, after one taste neither of them can get the other out of their minds and they want nothing more than to be with each other. But when their wants become a risk to their job, are they willing to take the risk? Or would they rather revert back to their safety bubbles of quietly pining for one another? Can they survive the surprises and twists coming their way?

This is a short story about being careful about what you do in life. It will have you thinking hard about your decisions and how they can affect your future. Ivy and Falcon are a loving couple until one day they are not. Distrust leads to anger which leads to pain. The couple made and makes mistakes and in the end, we find out how one wrong choice can change everything. This paranormal story is fast paced thriller that grabs your attention.
Wow, this was such a great paranormal romance story that was extremely steamy and sexy. I had not read the previous stories in this standalone story, so some of the characters backstories were unfamiliar to me, but the author did a great job of summarizing so it didn’t feel like I was missing huge gaps of information, but definitely made me want to check out the rest of the series! Master Catteneo and Alessia’s instant chemistry is electric and hot. This series has vampires, witches, psychics, and werewolves among other paranormal beings. I loved that the females were strong independent women who didn’t let the alpha males make their decisions. The story-line was fast-paced and full of intrigue, along with politics, hidden agendas, and revenge. I devoured the book quickly; I just couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and the upcoming books!

This was such a cute story with a dash of drama and suspense mixed in with the romance. We meet our main characters in a summer literature class, where Juliet is the teacher and Jim is a diamond in the rough student. They have an instant attraction, but Juliet is far more cautious, while Jim is impulsive and ready to jump in feet first. As they find the parallels with their love and Shakespeare, Jim is looking for ways to make it work, while Juliet’s caution makes her gun shy. I thought it was a very sweet romance story about second chances and that love doesn’t play by the rules. I thought both characters were very sweet and the story-line flowed well. I loved all of the Shakespeare quotes sprinkled throughout the story as well! It was a semi-quick read that I couldn’t put down!

Mafia Elite series is one of my favorites, and just keeps making the characters better known and more beloved to us. This is a standalone book, but a prequal to the series. The heads of the Five Families are all still ruling with an iron fist, the sons have all graduated college and were leading lives as well as performing their duties as the next in line to their mafia families. The daughters are seniors in college, enjoying their last vestiges of freedom before being married off via contract or taken back home to be folded back into and controlled by their fathers or new husbands.
This book takes place after Emiliana had been kidnapped and rescued and Camilla had been married off to the Russian Bratva, situations that are mentioned throughout the series. It leads up to another tragedy mentioned throughout the series.
As the last 3.5 years of college has gone by, Lil, Sofia, Em and Marissa have grown very close. No one can understand them and their lives the way they understand each other. They’ve grown as close as sisters, so as their college careers come to an end, and they head back to being under their fathers thumbs, they’re all a bit anxious.
The princesses are all daydreaming of being with someone they love, instead of someone they’re promised to. Sofia longs for Enzo, and he her. In order to protect him, she will push him away. Em and Stefano both broken from terrible past experiences, but together they make one another complete. Too bad no one else agrees, and his father outright refuses it. Marissa is promised to Tony, and he is now getting very possessive. While making a decision to try to make things work with her arranged marriage to him, she is anxious to speak to someone in the Bratva to see if her sister Camilla is even still alive. Lil is daydreaming of running away to stay out of her fathers clutches. Will anyone have their daydreams and wishes of true love come true?
This collection is the perfect read to put you in the holiday mood! With seven different stories from seven different authors, there is a variety of writing styles. If one story isn’t quite to your fancy, the next one surely will be. I think my favorite story featured Italian-Americans living in the French Quarter in New Orleans. What an absolutely perfect way to kick off my holiday reading!

This is the first book that I have read from this author and now I’m hooked. I love a good fantasy story but this author exceeded all my expectations. I was drawn to the main character right from the beginning. I could not put this book down so I read it all the way though. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive story. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Loaded with puns, this book is a hoot! Not a time-travel tale, this book has the protagonist traveling to a different realm. Elves, trolls, and dragons- oh, my! Throw in dwarves, giants, and ogres as well. The hero must learn who to trust in this strange realm, and just how much he can or cannot trust his own instincts, which is something we can all relate to.

Mercy lives in a town where most of the women are filled with sorrow. This is all thanks to the ‘weeping woman’ at the bottom of the river. After watching woman after woman fall victim to the river, Mercy and her friend Sherry make a pact to protect each other from being the next. One night Sherry is inconsolable, which attracts the weeping woman, Mercy tried with all her might to calm down her best friend. Unfortunately, she was too late. The weeping woman got Sherry. Mercy was able to escape but not without a giant target on her back. She was the one that got away and the weeping woman will not stand for it.
As years go by, Mercy is still marked but is starting to get tired of living in fear. She starts to better her life regardless of being targeted. The weeping woman will stop at nothing to get this woman who bested her.
It was hard for me to get into the story if I am being honest. There was some Spanish terminology which I had to stop and look up which took me right out of the story. Not only that but it was very slow paced and seemed to drag on. I enjoyed the story, but it took too long to get there. The book was more written like a day in the life kind of style which I am not a fan of in general.

Wilf, our main character is a typical teenaged kid who loves soccer and excels at the sport. His whole life would revolve around soccer had it not been for the fact that he is a wizard who refuses to train or use magic. His father, Reginald, “evaporates” and poor Wilf is now smack dab in the middle of a virus that is turning witches beautiful, and his father’s journal holds the key to save the witches. Wilf is visited in his father’s shop by Ermentrude a witch who demands that Wilf locate and open his father’s secret lab so that she can find what she is looking for. The virus that is infecting witches makes them gradually lose their power until they cannot perform magic, and they become “beautiful.” The wizards were the ones to bring this infection onto the witches and it isn’t until Ermentrude’s daughter Katryna becomes infected, that Wilf understands that he MUST get over fearing magic and using magic in order to unlock the secrets of his father’s journal and save his friend.
All the characters are well-developed, and you can’t help but love each one of them. The story is a definite page turner, and I couldn’t wait to finish the page I was on to be able to turn the page and continue with the journey. It’s interesting that beauty is considered a weakness in the book, and I think that it sends a message that our world needs to hear. Great read and even better cast of characters that takes us into the fantasy world and leaves you begging for more! I cannot wait for book 2! A must read for the ages!

WOW oh wow!! I love me a good scary horror book and this one delivered! I have not read any books by this author yet and I cannot wait to read more by her! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I could not put it down and had to know what was going to happen. If you love a good horror story, you need to read this one right now!

Every ten years the gods give a chance at a second life to those in paranormal purgatory. This time is Quinnlan’s chance. The only catch, you have to choose a mate and you only have three days to do it. If you are unsuccessful, you’re back in purgatory. I think this is an original storyline. The author definitely has a vivid imagination. It’s a wonderful paranormal romance. It involves vampires and wolf shifters. Being a short novel, the story felt rushed. I enjoyed the book but wished it would have been longer to be able to connect with the characters more.

This is not the first book that I read by this author and will not be the last! The first thing that drew me into this story was the cover art, it was immaculate! The writing and the story line is then what kept me entertained! The story was one that was super unique and was one that I had not encountered before. It gave me lots of information that I had not previously known about Mexican culture. This book was super informative and was super entertaining. I cannot wait to read more amazing books by this amazing author! This book needs to be read by everyone so that they can enjoy the wonderful story just like I did.
