Maddie Wade has really set this book up well. There will be no spoilers here, as you just need to read this fast paced story. Her characters, both good and evil, will keep you turning the pages. I love all the angst that is between the small family, that make up the Fortis Security team. I also love the angle this story has taken, and look forward to reading the series as it comes available. Never before have I read a story so full and yet so complete. Job well done Maddie Wade!
Healing Danger is the first book in the series A Fortis Security Novel by Maddie Wade and this book is a great read. Maddie has written a fast paced action love story with lots of mystery and intrigue, action and twists and turns you never see coming as well as a creepy factor. Maddie has woven plots that keep you on your toes as you follow these great men who fight to keep those they love safe. The story also has another element that adds another level to the story. Healing Danger will keep you glued to page after page as the story unfolds and the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat. Maddie has started the series with a bang and I can’t wait to read the next one.

The story Healing Danger: A Fortis Security Novel Book 1 (Fortis Security Series) by Maddie Wade is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book with action, mystery, and danger. It is a page-turner that at times had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Dane Bennett and Lauren Cassidy. Lauren is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and independent. She also has found herself a current target by someone who is unknown. Who is targeting Lauren? How much danger is she in and who will protect her? Dane is the team leader at Fortis. His job includes protecting others. When Lauren becomes a target, he steps up in order to keep her safe and protected. These two were once very good friends before another man came into her life. Will these two find themselves with a second chance at a relationship? Dane is an alpha male who at times doesn’t communicate well. This causes friction and hurt feelings. Will Dane be able to keep Lauren safe and mend the hurt that he has caused? Both Dane and Lauren find they have a passion between them. There is a chemistry that can’t be denied. Will they find happiness together? Will they get an HEA? Will Dane and the Fortis team find the one who is after Lauren and stop any evil plans that may be in the works? Read this story to find out. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the book. Both the way that they interacted with each other and also with Dane and Lauren. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. Highly recommended reading.
A love story set against a backdrop of mystery and adventure – sign me up. This first installment in the series does a great job establishing tone, plot, and pace. I found the characters to be well developed and relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author and in this series.

Healing Danger is the first installment of the Fortis Security Novels by Maddie Wade. Maddie Wade’s writing style kept me on the edge of my seat. This story is about Lauren and Dane. This couple is playing games like any new couple does but there is a little danger involved with their pairing. Dane is the new team leader of Fortis and he is to protect Lauren. Lauren has caught the eye of a serial killer. There are several strong-arm guys within Fortis but Dane is playing this one close to his chest. There are several little distractions as the story goes, but Dane and Lauren keep the focus. Will Dane be able to keep Lauren and himself safe? Who will find the serial killer and thwart his plans?

Maddie is a huge advocate of all things martial arts and got her black belt at age 14 years. She has also studied Jujitsu and has encouraged her children to do the same.
Phoenix Rising: A Fortis Security Novel Book 7 Maddie Wade is yet another great addition to this great series. I have been waiting for Daniel’s story and I must say I was not disappointed. Good work Maddie! I have fallen in love with each and every character in this series whether it is the alpha males who will stop at nothing to protect those they love and consider family, or the wonderful women who are able to tame them. Maddie is an accomplished writer that writes stories that are engaging and compelling and leave you wanting more. Her characters make you fall in love with them and make you feel like you are part of their lives and their families. This story is full of action that will have you on the edge of your seat and oh so sexy scenes that will see you needing cigarette. I will be sad when this series comes to an end but in the meantime I look forward to Will’s story next.

I have been following along on the Fortis Security series journey and so far I have not read one that I didn’t enjoy. I would recommend that you do read them in order that way you can fully understand exactly where these characters have been, are going. There is some intertwining storylines that may be a bit confusing if read out of order, but I could also see where an experienced reader wouldn’t mind reading a few out of order.
In book seven, Phoenix Rising, we follow along on the journey of Megan and Daniel. Oh Mylanta! I felt for these two so deeply! Both of them endured some horrendous traumas. Love was the last thing on their mind, but fate and life often has plans in store for us that we don’t see coming. They each have many layered and complex personalities. Daniel is a complicated man. What you see is not necessarily what he is all about. There is way more under the surface to this man. As for Megan, I just wanted to give her a squeeze several times throughout the novel. She is such a sweetheart, but she definitely can hold her own. She does struggle to find her place in this world now that she is post her trauma.
Their story will keep you on your toes between the hot and steamy love scenes that will have you fanning yourself and needing a tall glass of ice water (or wine), and the intrigue and mystery that takes place for them as well. I look forward to see what will come next in this series.

Phoenix Rising is the seventh book in Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security series. I fell in love with her writing AND the series with the first book I picked up and now I am following her on all possible platforms in order not to miss the next book! Please do not read this story as a standalone; you will miss so so much! Phoenix Rising is the story of Daniel – second in command at Fortis Security and a widower and a single father – and Megan – a doctor and one of the Bennett siblings (who you will have met in previous books if you are a fan like me). The chemistry between them is combustible and nothing can stop it! This story is filled with emotion, secrets, grief, anger, danger and love … Every book in the series pulls you further into this intricate world that the writer has created and that she keeps adding to … it leaves no one cold and an outsider … you get invested in the people and the relationships and the stories and … you cannot wait for Digital Desire that is the next one in the series!

Phoenix Rising by Maddie Wade is the seventh installment of the Fortis Security Series. This installment is about Daniel Thompson and Megan Bennett. Although Daniel can be very protective, he has a soft side. He is very attracted to Megan Bennett, but he is trying to restrain his feelings for her. Megan is not only beautiful but she is also warmhearted, charitable and intelligent. She is always ready to help others. Megan is also attracted to Daniel and the chemistry between them is palpable. Be prepared with a fan because here will be some scenes while reading that may cause you to fan yourself? While this story is a romance, the whole book isn’t lovey dovey, there is also danger. Megan is in a dangerous predicament, will Daniel be able to save her? Will Megan’s dangerous predicament bring them closer together and finally have a happily every after? The only way to find out is by reading this story. I truly enjoyed reading Daniel and Megan’s story. Although I have read a few books from this series, I have not read the complete series sequentially. I recommend this story and series and plan to go back and read the series in order.

Phoenix Rising was a great 5 star read and book 7 in the Fortis Security Series.
I loved this book and it’s characters. You get pulled in right from the beginning with the prologue, my heart just broke for Daniel and his daughter.
We jump ahead a year when Megan is in a serious accident, but was it an accident? And Daniel is struggling with his feelings for her, which come out tenfold when he sees her at the accident scene. He is no longer willing to worry about what his best friend and her brother will do when he finds out how he feels.
After their one night together Megan couldn’t get Daniel out of her head and heart. But he was treating her like she didn’t exist, not understanding why. She then discovers something that will change both of their lives, how will he react to the news?
This man was probably the most dangerous man in the world to her, part of her knew she should run, but the bigger part of her wanted to curl up at his feel like a contented kitten.
We move forward with this great read, to encounter more secrets along with more dangerous twists and turns, especially when the past comes back to haunt Megan. Will Daniel and the Fortis Security team be able to keep her safe? This was an on the edge of your seat, nail biting read. I read this in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. I really loved all of the secondary characters, they are like one big family. I’m super excited to get my hands on the next book in the series. I highly suggest 1-clicking and getting started today on this great series.

Broken Butterfly is the fifth book in the series A Fortis Security Novel by Maddie Wade and once again this book is a great read. I have been in love with this series since book one and have not looked back since I found Maddie as a wonderful writer. This series and this book have it all, and I am in love with the Fortis men and women and their partners. I would encourage you to start with book one and work your way through so you get to know and love these wonderful characters and become invested in their lives. Each book is about each team member and the love of their life and the terror and torture they face as the fight to keep everyone they love safe from the evil grips of the Divine Watchers.
Maddie continues to get better and better with each book and her attention to detail and ability for storytelling has certainly made Broken Butterfly the best so far. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Broken Butterfly by Maddie Wade is the fifth book in her mind-blowing Fortis Security series! For some reason I ended up reading the fifth book first and I am telling you all, do not make the mistake I did! START WITH THE FIRST ONE! Once I was done with Broken Butterfly, I was so hooked on the story and the Fortis ‘family’ so I went and read the first 4 books! Broken Butterfly is the story of Zin “The Viper” Maklavoi and Celeste “Pixie” Bourdain. The prologue killed me … the way the writer sets the scene … the way she sucks us into the emotional landscape … the way she builds our expectations … and we are ONLY at the prologue! I loved Zin, this on the surface hard and cruel man who has lived his life in the world of subterfuge and espionage, meting out justice for the ones who could not protect themselves … he believes he is lost to the world of shadows and he is so broken that there is no way to fix him … And then we have Celeste with an incredible gift that has burdened her life and brought her nothing but pain … the little Pixie that makes Zin to wish for a different life … The writer has created this amazing world that is so intricate and mesmerizing that you simply cannot look away and you cry and you pray for the best and you laugh and you feel as if you are living it all along the Fortis family and …Pick up the first book and ‘live’ through all of five to find out if the Viper and the Pixie will save each other!
