Book 6 in the Mafia Elite Series doesn’t disappoint. We have Trey the one who became a doctor to help his family and the other Chicago mafia families is ready for a change. The change brings him in contact with Hailey a socialite, who he’s met before during an event.

Hailey has family baggage due to the tragic death of her father & older sister in a car accident. Her mother is a wreck because of the loss and Hailey has to find her way through life without her mother’s support. This leads to some bad relationships with men. Can she trust Trey and work together to become a couple?

The author creates characters that are easy to connect with, I love the way the mafia couples interact with the new couple, and I can’t help but root for Trey and Hailey to find their way together. As always, I couldn’t put the book down because I was sucked into the story

Amy grabs readers attention from the very beginning and never drops it!

Two characters who haven’t had it easy but have every reason to fight against all the odds!

Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Collateral Damage is the sixth book in the Mafia Elite series. This is a great series, with plenty of fun characters to get to know and a good mix of romance and suspense.
In Collateral Damage, we get a chance to learn more about Trey, who has been in the background of the other books. Balancing his role in the mafia with his ER duties is pretty all-consuming, and Trey has been losing himself in his work after his girlfriend died from a bullet meant for him.
One of my favourite characters in this book is Katherine, a family friend who Trey is helping get the treatment she needs. She’s certainly a force to be reckoned with, and I hope we see more of her in the future!
I would recommend reading the series in order, starting with No Way Out. There are a lot of characters and backstory to get to know, and the stories are all very enjoyable.
This book gets five stars from me! I always look forward to these books and can’t wait until the next one comes out in the fall (and Nico finally gets a chance at romance…)

This is book six in the series and true to the nature of these books can be read as either a stand alone or as part of the series. We focus our attention on a minor league player in these stories up until now. Hot and steamy ER Doc Trey. We don’t know much about him from the previous books, but we learn a lot in this one. After he meets Hailey, she ends up getting kidnapped and adventure, anxiety and plots ensue. True to her nature the author makes sure the reader is on the edge of one’s seat with a death grip on the book. She is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

I was so excited for this book to come out, and even more excited to hear it was about Trey. This author has created yet another fantastic story to follow the rest of the Five Families in Chicago. Another riveting novel, filled with twists and turns and a gorgeous finish. Honestly, I think my husband might be a little jealous with how in love I am with the La Rosa family, but what can I say? The Elites are quite addicting!

Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite Series Book 4) by Amy McKinley – Review by Helen Dawkins

Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite, #4)Savage Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely love Elena and Marco! From Frenemies to Lovers! Even though you can read this book as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in order before this one. There is vital information about Elena’s starting predicament that may be confusing if you do not know the background information from the other 3 books. After finding that Elena is alive, Marco will not stop until she is his and in his arms. As teenagers, Marco and Elena were always back and forth teasing and punishing for no reason. They both had crushes on each other but kept it a secret, as Elena was promised to marry Enzo. In this book, it tied up several of the sub-plots that go on throughout each book. Marco is the sexy tattooed badass, while Elena has become an independent badass of her own. Her being away from everyone and in hiding for the past 4 years causes several issues with the two main characters, trust being the main problem. As Elena, is not sure who to trust, and Marco is pissed that she left without asking for help. The main Mafia situation in Savage Secrets is focused on the Russians, the Boss Yuri in particular. Very action packed but with lots of romance and love. Definitely cannot wait to read the 5th book in the series.

Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite, #5)Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ruthless Heir, Book 5 in the Mafia Elite Series throws a huge loop than the other pervious books. At first, I was not sure how I would like it considering it is bringing in two new characters that have not been introduced yet. The love story focus is on Luc and Summer. Luc being Lil’s long lost half brother, who has no idea he has a sister, let alone Mafia. Both Luc and Summer come from hard difficult childhoods, which is one of the things they bond over. The book focuses on Luc’s training to become the new Mafia Boss for the Brambilla Family and the new girl who he has dragged along with him, Summer. She is also on the run from another less powerful Mafia Family, the Amato’s. She keeps her cards close to her in hope that she Five Chicago Families do not turn her over. At first, Summer is there against her will, but slowly everyone, including Luc falls in love with her. As Summer and Luc work together every morning, their love connection grows so beautifully. Summer and Luc both fit excellently into the Five Mafia Families and are a great addition. Amy McKinley does a spectacular job at mixing adventure, mystery, romance and spice. I know I will not be disappointed in book 6!

No Way Out (Mafia Elite Series Book 1) by Amy McKinley – Review by Helen Dawkins

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, #1)No Way Out by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely Amazing! The author, Amy McKinley, definitely knows how to balance the right amount of action, suspense, and romance. “No Way Out” is focused on the story of Max (Matt) and Lilana. The book is told through both of their POV’s and I absolutely love that we get to know both of their viewpoints. Both main characters have a troubled past, and truthfully a troubled present. The book was fast-paced, but was not so fast that you didn’t understand what was happening and why. I am in awe that Liliana is such a badass, and so are the other “Mafia Princesses”. The interaction with Max and Liliana was just enough of darkness that kept you on your toes, but not so much where it was off-putting. Every page had me wanting more, and wondering what would happen next. One of the best books I have read by this author. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series!

Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Collateral Damage is book 6 in the Mafia Elite Series. While each book can be a standalone, I highly recommend reading the other books in order before reading this one. Collateral Damage focuses on the love story of Trey La Rosa and a young woman named Hailey Carmichael. Trey has absolutely no time to find a woman as he is in his residence for becoming a surgeon and is also the Mafia’s doctor. Trey recently lost his last girlfriend, and he is not looking to ever lose another person he loves. The two main characters meet at a function and Trey is slowly pulled into helping Hailey. As they continue to work together, his feelings grow enormous for her, and he is not willing to lose her for any reason. Amy McKinley never disappoints, and that is also clear in this book. This series is one of the best series I have read in a long time. There is an excellent mixture of spice, romance, and action. Her details on each man will make your mouth water. In the other books, Trey is on the outskirts, and I am glad that in this book we get a up close and personal look into his life.

Born in Darkness (Mafia Elite Series Book 3) by Amy McKinley – Review by Helen Dawkins

Born in Darkness (Mafia Elite, #3)Born in Darkness by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Mafia Elite Series. Even though you can read these as stand alone, I definitely recommend reading them in order, as there are sub plots throughout each book that connects them all. I absolutely loved the way Amy McKinley portrays Emiliana Vitale. She is one of my favorite characters throughout the series. Her fierceness and bravery are far superior to the other Mafia Princesses, which is what I love about her. This book focuses on Emiliana and Stephano love story. Stephano also is more vicious than the other Bosses, given who his father is, who is the scariest of them all. There is a love between Stephano and Emiliana that seems to go deeper than the other couples. Emiliana was kidnapped and held in a human trafficking ring, and Stephano is the one who saved her and carried her out. I enjoyed the building relationship between the two of them. The way Stephano is there for Emiliana but also lets her heal in her own way is one of the reasons I love this book so much. This book has more than just romance, it touches on standing up for what you want regardless of your parents, as well as key emotions both people can have after a significant trauma. I cannot wait to read book 4 as I know Amy McKinley will most definitely give an amazing story!

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite Series Book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Helen Dawkins

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Blood Oath” had me in a whirlwind of emotions. The love story between Enzo and Sofia brought me to tears at every turn. Their love was pure and so deep. This book was even better than the first. Amy McKinley did a MAGNIFICINT job at showing and describing both Enzo and Sofia’s inner thoughts and feelings. There was never a moment you have to think what they were wanting or needing. This book had a bunch of suspense, was intriguing and lots of action. I love the history that the author gives on both of the main characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed the flashbacks each of them had. The small sub plots throughout book one carried out through this book. Even though there are so many characters, the author is wonderful at making each of their stories different, so it’s not that easy to get them mixed up or confused. I personally love the large diversity of characters and sub-plots. Even though this book could be a stand-alone, I do advise to read the first series book before starting this one. One of my favorite components of the book, is how fierce the women are. They are complete Badass women and do not need anyone, but they utterly want to be next to the one they love. Definitely a fast paced read, I could not put it down. I cannot wait to read book 3 and find out what is in store for the other characters, as well to know the ending of some of the sub-plots throughout the book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a page turner for sure! At the beginning there is an index of “the families” don’t let that distract you or deter you if you haven’t read any of the other stories in this series.

This story flows so good that you will not need to go back and see who is who, as you are reading it falls into place and explains for yourself. This is a suspenseful and romantic crime book however not scary or overly sexual, just enough to keep you wanting to read whats coming next. I love the family side of the book, you don’t need to be mafia to have the family connection this family has. We could all learn from their weekly dinners.

Many twist you don’t see coming at the end so read away and let this book take you in all the directions.

Reader beware it will make you want to go and read the other stories in this series and her other series!

Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Collateral Damage is a great addition to the Mafia Elite series. This sixth book tells us the story of Trey and Hailey. Hailey is a down to earth girl in a rich girl world. She doesn’t fit in and since losing her sister and dad in a car accident, she has struggled to find her place of acceptance. Trey is an ER doctor and also holds commitments to the Five Families as the mafia doc on call. He’s a busy man with no room for love until he reconnects with Hailey, his sister Sofia’s acquaintance. Trey steps into a kidnapping and ransom plot when Hailey’s stepdad, Allen, asks for his help in relocating her. Trey takes Hailey into his protection and in doing so changes the course of both their lives with an undeniable mutual attraction. This was a good addition and I like getting more storylines from the supporting family members in the Five Families. I love the family dynamic and the willingness to go the extra mile for those you love. I’ve read all the books in this series and I highly recommend them. They can be read as standalone books or start from the beginning. Great book, even better series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mafia bad boy with a hefty side of sweet & kindness. Trey is by far the kindest, most down to earth mafia man in the family. [IMO] That’s what stands out the most to me to start about this book. Then we have Hailey who is the bomb! She has the perfect combination of being super fierce, smart, brave, a side of bad@ss-ery, and being strong. Perfect match! They go through roller coasters and some situations but as always the family comes together and they handle what they need to. There was a few moments where I thought, oh I know how this is going to play out, and who is the real
villain, but in the end I was pretty off. So you might think you know but you don’t! This book kept me on my toes, and had me counting down the minutes until I could continue reading it! (When I would be at work). Can’t wait for more!!

Simmering, sexual chemistry consumes Summer & Luc and they give in to their desires. A one night stand leaves them wanting more than either one originally bargained for. While Luc learns that he is the heir to a top mafia crime family and is enticed to claim his spot in the family business. Gripping, full of suspense, could not turn the page fast enough.
My first Amy McKinley read, but certainly won’t be my last! Couldn’t wait to pick up book 2 of the series.

Mafia princess, Lillianna Brambrilla is the daughter of the head of the Brambilla crime family—one of the most powerful mafia families in America. While her life presents as perfect to those on the outside, what happens behind closed doors is another story.
Max Caruso, son of a rival family has befriended Lillianna’s maternal grandfather and together they devise a plan in hopes that Max can infiltrate the Brambrilla compound and save Lil from her father’s clutches!
Lillianna is tough as nails and can hold her own—dependent upon no one. Through twists and turns, while sparks between Max & Lil continue to fly, Lil needs to decide can she let her guard down enough to trust Max, even though she assumes he is one of her father’s henchmen?

Riveting romance with affable characters that the reader can’t help but to fall in love with and leave them rooting for Lil & Max’s “happily ever after” .

Hailey Carmichael is the daughter to rich parents who have her life planned out for her as a socialite running in the same circles they do, but she wants more, however, she isn’t sure how to get it, not in the least the man she has had a crush on since the first time she saw him.

For Trey, it is just another day on call at the hospital where he does his usual rounds and interacts with his patients so that he can make the best decisions he can for them, however, when he is called in to the office of one of his superiors and finds out that a woman he has tried to forget has been kidnapped, memories surface of the first and last time he saw or spoke to her and how grief for his first love got in the way, he decides then and there that he is going to rescue her, whatever it takes.

As Trey uses his resources to rescue her, the scene he finds is not the one he expected, but for Hailey, he is the last person she expected to come to her rescue, however, as he keeps her out of harms way and finds out more information behind the motive for the kidnapping, they reach an agreement to work together to follow the funds together and uncover the full reasons. As they spend more time together in his home, the attraction they felt the first time they met resurfaces and they both struggle to maintain the distance between them and the one thing they crave the most, each other, however, will they be able to uncover the secrets and reveal the truth before their new found relationship is severed, again? Welcome back to the Mafia Elite life. This story is about Hailey and the good doctor, Trey. Even though these two have met before and the timing was off, the spark was ignited within them both. And Fate began to work her magic.

I love how “innocent” Trey seems, like he doesn’t notice all of the nurses trying to be next to him or catch his eye. How sweet he is. He wants to save everyone. He understands he can’t but he sure tries to. Even Hailey needs to be saved.

Hailey will do anything to prove to her family she isn’t a waste, to prove she is worthy. She has a crappy family, a mother who doesn’t know she’s there and a step father who is sneaky and slimy. Hailey didn’t know she needed saving until her plan backfires. It seems the good doctor is ready to save the day.

This story should be read in order as it is book 6 and while it can be read as a standalone, reading the other books will give you a better feel for the closeness of the family. I love this series and look forward to the next one.

Trey, the family doctor and local hospital doctor is front and center in this story. He’s exhausted overworked and has known heartbreak and has no time for love.

That is until he meets Hailey, from an affluent family who doesn’t really fit into the rich prestigious world she tries hard to keep her appearance in until a family secret rocks her to the core.

these two come together so naturally and mesh so well you can’t help but instantly fall in love with their story and you had heard of trey in the other stories but learning about how he ticks is a story you don’t want to miss.

another fantastic stand alone, but all of these books intertwine and you can learn more about all the characters in each story… I’m sure there will be more as there is definitely more for us to learn!
