Collateral Damage (Mafia Elite Series Book 6) by Amy McKinley – Review by Heidi Sturgess

Collateral Damage (Mafia Elite, #6)Collateral Damage by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness! My first meeting with Hailey was rather frightful ! She’s on her way to meet her stepdad when she gets taken by men in ski masks , what a way to start !!!!!

Trey , our hot doc is quite the hot commodity amongst the ladies and he’s quite oblivious to it all and Sandy , his older charge nurse is most efficient in “ protecting “ him from all this unwanted attention from his “ fans “ 😂🤦‍♀️but what do you expect !? He’s HOT , a doctor and part of the mafia family 😳🔥 and he’s lost the barista he dated , he pretends he’s ok but that man is hurting 😥

When Hailey gets taken , her stepdad , who is married into the Carmichael family , that owns the hospital , reaches out to Trey for help , hoping his connections to the underworld would help ….but all is not as it seems and both Trey and I are a little suspicious of how the “ abduction “ went down , let’s call it , a sixth sense …..

Trey might be mafia but that heart of his is filled with kindness and compassion for his patients and that’s the biggest attraction for me but this is about how I feel is it !? This is about Trey and Hailey …..

I thoroughly enjoyed the twists , thrills and you definitely need to expect the unexpected 😉 that’s all I’m going to say 😱🫢

Despite the fact that this book can be read as a stand-alone I enjoyed it sooooo much that I’m going to binge read the previous 5 ❣️📕😱😉

Rivals (Mafia Elite Book 7) by Amy McKinley – Review by Ayla Eddy

Rivals (Mafia Elite, #7)Rivals by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 7 is just as amazing and page turning as the six books that came before it. With every story, including this one, the author manages to captive you with a different scenario of the same mafia world. This is another amazing mafia romance and sports the enemies-to-over trope with the tale of Nico and Mia.

Mia, mafia princess from New York, is in trouble and the person she has chosen for help? Nico la Rosa an underboss of a Chicago mafia family, aka the enemy. Will Nico be able to look past the title of enemy to protect Mia and help her take down her own family?

I don’t know what you are waiting for if you haven’t started this series. I would highly suggest it. You will be enjoying every moment from page one of book one. I cannot recommend this author or her books more.

So Summer is attacked in her flat that she shares with a friend , she’s scared so she runs, a girl needs to survive though and she finds a job at a finance company and one night she need to keg her gait downed heads to a bar for a drink or 3 ,one thing leads to another and she has a hot passionate night with the mist delectable stranger 🔥🔥🔥🔥 who turns out not only to be her new boss but also the next in line to head a mafia family , it would seem she left the pot for the frying pan ……

Luc has worked hard to get to where he is and he started at like ground zero , he’s also heir to his mafia family throne unbeknown to him….

Luc knows Summer is hiding something from him but she’s his personal heroine well I must admit they’re both addicted to each other 😱🔥😍 but they’ve got to get past a few hurdles and if they survive it they’re rock solid ❣️

Luc and Summer are the type of characters you’ll just love , their journey is filled with angst , fear , suspense , intrigue and hot , steamy chemistry that will leave you breathless 🔥

I’m so excited for the next book but at the same time I want to read slower because I don’t want it to end but it’ll all come full circle and I’ll know the entire family 😍it’s a real catch 22 😉❣️📕

Rivals (Mafia Elite Book 7) by Amy McKinley – Review by Rebecca Hill

Rivals (Mafia Elite, #7)Rivals by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is the seventh in a series and can easily be read as a stand alone book. Each book follows a member of the 5 Italian American mafia families from Chicago. This book is about Mia Tucci from the New York mafia and Nico la Rosa. First of all, if you haven’t read this series, run, don’t walk and get it! I love it when a new story comes out. It feels like when a season of your favorite show starts and you get to hang out with all the characters – just comfortable and happy! This book started with a bang and caught my attention with Mia getting kidnapped. I was immediately drawn into her story and could hardly put the book down. There was a twist at the end that I loved, some of which I saw coming. I felt like this book wasn’t quite as explicit as some of the others, but I liked that. Well worth your time!

Please read the previous books so you can get the best experience out of this series ❣️📕

This one gets right from the start though and I’m not sure if it’s because it’s just so good or if it’s because I was so ready to devour it ❣️📕😂

So Marco thought his Elena had died 4 years ago so imagine his shock when he sees her again …

Elena just wants a normal life so she goes into hiding after giving up her position in mafia family but someone is out to get her and it’s not the enemy she should’ve feared but the one that claimed her heart so many years ago …..

This one was a real rollercoaster ride 😱❣️

What a Story!! I love reading this series! I can’t get enough! The storyline is fast paced and the characters are smart, sexy and have wonderful chemistry. I enjoyed meeting Mia. She really has that spunk and stamina that surprised me a time or two. The male MC we have jot seen a lot of and I actually grew to like him. He has no plans for love or marriage. I loved watching his turn around as he discovers all consuming love.

I loved getting to see ALL the previous characters. The women and their first meeting with Mia AkA the enemy is a memorable one. I do agree with Mia thoughts on the Five Families and how they protect and love fiercely. I enjoy watching/reading their banter and snuggles. Stephen is still one scary guy!

Overall I am saddened that this is the last in this amazing series! But we do have an opening for a spin-off. I have had many emotions while reading this book. I have ranged from love, humor and dislike with a few Wha?? Thrown in. I recommend reading the others in the series first! Trust me!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Good grief ! I’m a hot mess ! This coverart has me all hot and bothered 🔥🔥🔥

Again , you can read this on its own but I highly recommend you read the previous instalments in this series , it’s not that you’ll feel lost but there are references to incidents/ people so you’ll enjoy a fuller experience reading them ❣️📕

Emiliana went through an extremely traumatic experience and this time we find out what happened to her and instead of fading she rises from it and she’s darker , braver and alert and will orotect those she loves with everything within her ❣️she’s always loved Stefano and it’s as if they were made for each other and yet they have to survive on stolen kisses …..

Stefano is my favourite 😍 there’s just something about him … he knows his Achilles is Emi and his father will easily use her as a weapon against him , he doesn’t want to hand over the throne to his son but he pays the ultimate price and he’s so evil I don’t think there’s a place in hell for him 😱

We finally get to find out who the deceiving so and so is and man let me tell you I also felt like breaking a few bones !

I like the friendship between the girls forming from all 3 books , I wouldn’t mind being part of their tribe 😉

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Where do I even begin? This author has amazing talent! She gets you hooked from the very first book in the Mafia Elite series and keeps you wanting more!! As each book has come out in this series each storyline gets better and better. I can’t wait to read what is next to come!
In this book, we dive into Nico’s story. He is quiet, calculated, and never thought he could settle down like the rest of his Mafia family. When Mia Tucci tracks him down on an island only his family knows he’s at and holds a gun to his chest, it makes him very intrigued as to what she wants. She was the enemy but as they say, keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. Mia is in trouble with her evil father and stepbrother. Will Nico, the Five Families, and the Chicago Mafia help Mia end the rein of her sadistic, pour evil family all while putting a stop to the sex trafficking business that harmed one of the Chicago Mafia members?
This book is amazing and I loved how action-packed the storyline was. It also made me sad because it was the closing book to the Mafia Elite series. BUT now we still get to learn about the NY division of the Mafia!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

Well hello have you seen this cover !? I just melted into a puddle and wanted to yell “ take me , I volunteer” 😂🔥😱

So this is book #2 in the Mafia Elite series and it does help to have read book #1 but if you haven’t you won’t feel lost 😉

So Enzo and Sophia loved each other as children but tragedy rips them apart 🥲

Enzo is next in charge of his mafia family and years ago he distanced himself from Sophia to protect her and with the mafia duty always comes first but he’s never stopped caring for her and when she and is threatened he’s very quick to protect her ….

Sophia is the youngest and only daughter in her family so her brothers are soooooo protective of her but she’s determined to make something of herself as an up and coming fashion designer ….

Heading for Milan to show her designs I was starting to wonder if it ever would happen with the Russian around and there’s something or someone that’s very underhanded I hope they know what game they’re playing because they are going to get burnt messing with Sophia ….

I must just say I enjoyed the “ twist” of having a female assassin , a femme fatale , something different 🔥

Now to get onto the next instalment ❣️📕

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, #1)No Way Out by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So Liliana belongs to one of the mafia families which makes her a mafia princess which sounds great but being a female she’s probably going to be married off to either a monster or an older man or both 🤮 in any case they do this to strengthen the family or for power … sick I know but daddy dearest is going to meet his match because our girl isn’t going down without a fight 💥😉

So Max is a soldier but to me he’s her knight in shining armour that will protect with his life and devour her in one bite 🔥💥 he’s is soooooo yummy and I’d offer myself on a platter to be protected 🤣😱🔥

There’s was enough spice and suspense to keep me on my toes but there was also a few tender moments , I know I’m twisted to say a mafia read has tender moments but hey it’s all in the eye of the beholder 🤣❣️📕🔥😉

Brilliant way to get into the families 😉

Wow wow wow!!! Yet again this amazing author brought us a totally captivating story that had me on the edge of my seat from the first word to the very last!!! I read this so fast simply because I had to know what was going to happen next. Nico and Mia come together as a way to not only protect Mia but to also bring down her father and step brother. What starts out as an agreement and blood oath between the two soon develops into so much more. With constant danger seeming to come at them at every turn can they survive it all to find true happiness? This is book 7 in this amazing series and you can read it and enjoy it without having read the previous books BUT I highly recommend reading the whole series from the start not only because they are so worth it but also because it will give you valuable knowledge of all the characters and the series of events that lead to this point.

5 Stars

Rivals is the seventh amazing book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. Again, another fantastic instalment in this stellar series- which I have said with every book that has released, but it’s true- the series just gets better and better with each new instalment, and now I am hard-pressed to choose a favourite from amongst them all because they are all so brilliant!
IAs with the rest of the series, this is a fantastic mafia romance- a romantic suspense, with an enemies to lovers element, plenty of action, danger, drama, intrigue, mafia politics, chemistry, passion, steam, tension, emotion, hidden agendas, dramatic developments, and so much more.
This is Mia and Nico’s story- and wow, you’d better buckle yourself in for this one. When Mia needs help, she turns to Nico for help… Nico is intrigued, but she’s the enemy. With far more than their hearts at stake, and you know what they say about ‘no good deed goes unpunished’- so what happens here makes for quite a riveting read.
You won’t want to miss this exciting story… but be prepared to develop a taste for Ms. McKinley’s stories. One book won’t be enough.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Amy McKinley!

I don’t want this to be the end….. Rivals was right up there with the rest of the mafia elite series, I loved them all! I guess now it’s time to start over. If you’ve read them, get this book right now and read it. If you have to go get book one and begin it now, I’ll see you again when you’re done book 6. lol This book, just like the rest, is well written with wonderful characters.
Now let’s start with the characters of book 7, Mia and Nico. Coming from rival families they aren’t exactly friends. Mia comes to Nico with a preposition Nico can’t refuse. Marriage and protection, in exchange Mia marriage and protection, but in exchange Mia will give up info to save women and be kidnapped in a trafficking production. That they will tear down and destroy
Will they let her sacrifice herself?
What about Nico and Mia, what will happen between them?
So many questions but reading this book I had all the answers.

Rivals (Mafia Elite, #7)Rivals by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this seventh book in the series, Mia, a daughter from the New York mafia, escapes her father and seeks out Nico’s help. Nico, a member of the Chicago mafia, is enemies with Mia’s family and he suspects she is trying to infiltrate them. However, Mia is earnest and asks for a marriage to prove herself trustworthy. Mia’s father, however, is not happy with the marriage.
Opinion
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, if you like mafia romances, this series is a must. How Amy McKinley is able to come up with new plots for each subsequent book is beyond me. This book was straight out fabulous. Full of stubborn, strong characters, the clashes could almost be (fictional) comical if lives weren’t at stake. The twist at the end was shocking and satisfying.
The best part is that there is another book coming soon. This book will focus on the New York mafia that was tied to Mia.

I cannot get enough of this series!!! This book of Nico and Mia is fantastic fantastic fantastic!! I recommend reading this series in order as the “families” continue to be part of each book each character continues to evolve.

Mia…wow….she is tough as nails but what she endured…my heart truly broke in a million pieces between her father using her as a pawn and her step brother Ricco, whom I totally despised. When enough was enough, is bravely flees away from her family. Mia know how bad it is, especially her step brother Ricco. Mia has a purpose…take down her own family.

Nico is quiet, loyal and fierce. He will do everything to protect the “families” no matter what. When Mia seeks NIco out with a proposal….this is where it gets interesting. Mia wants protection from none other than NIco…but what is the cost? Family secrets, bartering..will Nico break down his own walls and protect Mia and help her?

This series of books is just fantastic and I cannot get enough. The characters, story line..all of it really grabbed me from beginning to end. I truly enjoyed Nico and Mia’s story that really captured me from page 1……intrigue, deceit, trust but the spark and sizzle that goes along with Nico and Mia was perfect!

What can I say about this book other than I’m sad the series is coming to a end but with a great final book. Nico thinks he is getting away where no one can find him, Mia has other plans. It is time to merge the Chicago and New York mafia families. The final book brings everything full circle as Nico, the final brother finds love in unexpected places. Mia learns what family is really like and that there those that she can trust. I love that this book brought the right amount of needed vindication and love. Another book in the series that will keep you guessing and wondering what will come next. Wonderful end to the series.

Rivals: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 7)

I fell in love with this series the moment I started reading the first book and I’m so much deeper in love now.  I love each and every one of these couples, their adventures and how though they are Mafia and toe the line of legal they are pretty good people.

Nico is the last of the group to fall and boy did he fall hard and fast. Being the quietest of the group we really didn’t get a sense of his personality before now.  The stong, sexy and deadly combination work very well for him

Like Nico, Mia was known to a point but she was an outsider.  She found herself with dangerous knowledge and needed protection.  Insert Nico and his family who such bad @$$es for back up.

I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. She has yet to disappoint.

Amy McKinley has quickly become one of my favorite authors and her Mafia Elite series has also became one of my favorite series. She’s back again with the 7th book in the series. This is a standalone but I recommend reading the other 6 books so you can understand everything better. I was not able to put this book down. It had me hooked from the very first page of the book to the last page. The characters were wonderfully written and I loved the feeling the author had set for this book.
They call me the quiet brother—but I’m just as brutal, dark, and broken.
No woman has ever breached the walls of my heart, and I’m content with who I am. Until Mia Tucci seeks me out.
The New York Mafia princess is an enemy, a fantasy with midnight hair, violet eyes, and a body that promises hours of sin—and she needs my help. But helping her will cost me.
When she barters information that could take down her family’s operation, I’m too intrigued to turn her away. And as we get to know one another, my defenses fracture, tempting me to give her my trust.
But no one in the Mafia is innocent.
My only hope is that intertwining our futures to protect her from her family will not be at the price of mine.
I can’t wait to see what else she has in store in the coming future for her books

Mia Tucci is the daughter of a NY Mafia boss that is straight up EVIL. She needs a champion to save her from her father’s evil plans for her. Nico La Rosa fills that need and more, he just doesn’t realize it… yet. When Mia offers him information to take down her father’s illegal schemes hinging on them marrying, he’s not sure he can pass it up. Will he take the plunge and make her his, in order to take down an evil mafia boss? Or instead, will he find that she is the perfect match for him?

This is the last of the Chicago Mafia series… I am sad to see this series end, but I am looking forward to the cameos with the NY Mafia! I really would have liked this story to have been longer, but honestly, it’s because I didn’t want it to end. Mia is starved for family and what better family to be a part of then the Chicago Mafia family? I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about how these characters treat their women with respect and how deeply they love each other. There are no damsels in distress either; they are all fierce and loyal!

The final book in this series is just as great of a book as all the others. Amy McKinley is most assuredly becoming one of my favorite authors.

In this entry to the series, we follow Nico La Rosa as he finally finds his happily ever after, even if it’s not quite how he expected it. Nico is on a trip to his family’s home in the Caribbean, when Mia Tucci finds him unexpectedly…or rather, he finds her standing on the deck of his house pointing a gun at him as he returns from the beach. Mia proposes the idea of marriage for information on how to bring down a human trafficking ring that her father and “adopted” brother are running as part of their New York mafia family business. Nico agrees, but isn’t quick to trust Mia at first. Eventually, the two share more than just their own secrets, and work together with the Five Families to bring down Mia’s father’s trafficking business. Through everything, Nico finally finds his happily ever after, and Mia finally finds a loving family that will take care of her and protect her at all cost.

In the final book of the Mafia Elite series Amy McKinley nailed it again. There is only one brother left, Nico, and he’s too guarded to let love in. He’s perfectly content on his own. ‘Trust no one’ is the mafia mentality, after all. One night he is propositioned, and his life is forever changed. Mia may be the one person to change his stance. Mia and Nico will try to have their worlds meet, but catastrophic collision is equally possible when changing anything with mafia families.

Nico and Mia’s adventure is a page-turner. The characters continue to build from previous books and the story is just as exciting. Rivals is the perfect ending to the Mafia Elite series despite being sad that the series is complete.

I enjoyed reading this mafia romance story. This is the seventh book in this series and the best yet. This is a great author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is a series that you don’t want to miss. I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enhancement of this series and this author. This is a well written story where enemies become lovers and their journey to get there. Their story is one that is hard to put down and full of romance and action. A story that is fast paced and hard to put down. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the first word. A story that had me coming back for more. The characters are relatable and made the story for me. They brought the story to life on each page. This is a great story that made my afternoon steamy. I have been reading this book series since the first one, and this author does such an amazing job in all the books and the characters that they bring to life. This book installment has quickly become my favorite, as always I am very captivated, and wanting more, this book and series is impossible not to love!

First off I must say-this was a bitter sweet read, knowing this is my final read in the series as it has concluded. I could not have asked for a better send off! This book gave all the things I love, mystery, suspense, romance, those momenta that make you sweat from heat with words on the pages, I really found Nico and Mia were wonderful characters. Different but easy to love as a reader. They brought a lot to the story, and I loved the build up in this book! There was a lot of action and suspense, and the author certainly knows how to end the series with a bang! I also loved, that how it ends it seems to have left an opening for more books on a different family! Cant wait! Loved this book and series with all my heart!

Thank you to this wonderful author for the 7 books in this series that has given me sheer enjoyment over the past months of reading. This is the final book, can be read as a standalone, but to truly feel the characters and the stories, I highly suggest the whole series! Must read and high recommendation!

This is the 7th, and final (sob sob) book in this amazing series that I’ve loved from beginning to end. For me, this is an author who can do no wrong. I’m sure I’ve given 5 stars to every single book of hers that I’ve read, And I have read a lot of them. This is yet another 5 star cracker that I didn’t want to put down.
This is an enemies to lovers, mafia romance that has absolutely everything you want in a mafia romance story. Lots of drama, danger and intrigue added to hot romance, it has it all.
Nico and Mia are fantastic characters. Nico is underboss of one of the Chicago five families, whereas Mia is the daughter of one of the bosses of the New York families. Let’s just say there is no love lost between both factions.
I loved that we are introduced to new characters who will become the main characters in a new series set among the New York mafia families. I can’t wait for more mafia romance from this amazing author.

I’m so sad this is the last book in this series. It was so happy to finally see a story for Nico. Mia Tucci needs Nico help to take down her family and a sex trafficking ring, but what neither of them expected was for actually feelings to get involved. The story is full of the perfect amount of romance *queue eye brow wiggle 😉 *, suspense, action, and the love and protection of family.

This was a fantastic Mafia series, they are quick reads, but ones you can’t put down. I would recommend to anyone!

In the final book of the series, Nico finally gets his chance at love. Mia is the daughter of a New York crime boss, who only wants to use her as a pawn in his plans to strengthen his position. Escaping her sadistic step-brother after he catches her attempting to flee leads Mia to track down help from the Chicago’s Five Families for protection and to take down her father’s sex trafficking business. Following along with previous books in the series, the Five Families (and Nico) take Mia into their fold and a quick romance ensues between the couple, who then faces death, destruction, mafia politics, and plenty of drama/action along the way.
I’ve truly enjoyed this series and have loved getting to know the characters. The author explains there will be a spin-off series involving the New York families, and I’m excited to see how it all ties together.
