I love Amy Mckinley, I love how she creates her stories. Xander and Riley from book one, Jaxon and Kayla from book two and now Tyler and Malina in book three. They are perfect for each other. Forged by secrets is the third installment of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. It’s so good, I couldn’t put it down. It has Romance, betrayal, and danger.

This is the second book I’ve read from Amy Mckinley and I got to say I’m loving her books. Twisted Secrets is the first book in the series Deadly Isles Special Ops and it’s about Xander and Riley. Xander is a Navy seal and is the brother of Jaxon (Book 2) and Tyler (Book 3). Xander gets hurt and ends up in the hospital. He meets Riley and together the go through an ex, finishing school, danger and more. I truly enjoy the story it great!! I’m so glad I read it.

From the very first page I was swept away by everything that was Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley. The story was captivating and a feeling enhancing marvel. With an original storyline, beguiling characters, mysterious magic and a fairy tale love, Moonlit Kiss was breathtaking. The intimacy Gianna and Sergio shared gave me shivers. Their beginning, middle and ending was so beautifully written, it was like being given a great gift. These types of stories are always so masterfully thought out and presented, and only the elite storytellers can capture an audience to the point of oblivion. Amy McKinley has it going on!!!!! A hard to put down, easy to escape into romance that will render you speechless and leave you with powerful memories. 5 stars.

Amy McKinley has stolen my heart again with this book! She always writes with such beautiful detail it feels like You’re right there in Italy with them. The story between Gianna and Sergio was the very definition of romance, and the way she was able to bring the past and present together was very well done! I had so much fun in this book and I’ll always be on the look out for her others!

Moonlit Kiss: A Venice Romance (Moonlit Destination series) by Amy McKinley was a really good read. I was highly anticipating this book release, because her other books engrossed me so much when I read them them I just can’t get enough. I think I had an off reading day however, because this one just didn’t seem as exciting to me. The story was incredible, and it had an amazing romance that absolutely transcended time! This book reminded me so much of one of her other books, Fake Fiance with the past lives bit. I just personally felt like this one drug on a little bit, and I had trouble becoming enraptured like I have with her other ones. I think it was because I couldn’t get the scenery to set itself in my mind and because of that I drifted a lot. But either this book had an incredible storyline and I can’t wait the next book from McKinley in the future!

Beneath The Surface Audio Book by Amy McKinley is the third book in the Gray Ghost series. With this book you are hooked straight back into the world of the Gray Ghost team with such ease. This story slightly overlaps the previous one in the series and I love you get to see that build up to it all.
Jack and Hannah have to be one of my favourite couples – although with this series I probably say that about them all! To have a history already in place but to have to build up the trust bit by bit was such a fascinating read. What I really enjoyed about this book though is the flashbacks to Hannah’s childhood and how I kept trying to piece everything together.
I have to say that the author us struck gold with the narrator for this series too. I think I enjoy listening to these as much as I do because of her. She has a way to tell the story that just makes it so easy to become absorbed in. This is another fantastic book to another fantastic series. I am already looking forward to the next one!

Another book that wows your socks off! Right from the start this book has you hooked! Xander and Riley’s relationship has you gripping the pages to find out what happens next in their lives. From meeting in a coffee shop where Riley works to finding out mystery clues you will not want to put this book down till you finish. Even then you will want more from Amy McKinley!

Amy McKinley is on a roll with this series. Seeing how Amy portrayed Kayla, a powerful woman ready to get out of an abusive relationship and trying to better herself in the process. She ends up living with a guy she use to and still has feelings for, her brothers best friend, Jaxon. They have some history that got a little messy. But past is past right??? Maybe! While Kayla is trying to get her life together she has to dodge her horrible ex. Jaxon’s previous job is bringing up some mystery trouble that he is trying to figure out. All this going on can Jaxon keep Kayla safe and keep her in his lifer this time around! Can’t wait till the next book.

This was my first audio book and I am very much in love. My new favorite author, Amy McKinley, is not only great at romance, but also suspense. Beneath the Surface is what I would call a great romantic suspense read. As in her other books, her writing puts you right into the action of the story. The story involves a Russian girl, Hannah, who is orphaned that has to survive a “school” that trains her to be a sleeper agent. She is one of the best, due to her harder personality, but does not always let on to that. She’s been “sleeping” for 9 years, in the US, where she works for the US government. In her life, she meets a man, by the name of Jack; her feelings for him scares her away for awhile till he comes to her “rescue”. The ups and downs of where her allegiance to countries lie and love for Jack keeps any reader completely engaged and makes you not want to put the book down. Hannah is a badass character that you can’t help fall in love with.

Moonlit Kiss: A Venice Romance is the third book I’ve read in the Moonlit Destination Series by Amy McKinley. Amy McKinley is a one click author for me, and for good reason, her books are all wonderfully written and each series is totally different. Moonlit Kiss: A Venice Romance is set in Venice and the descriptions make me long to visit. Gianna and Sergio are great characters with amazing chemistry. I love the premise of this story. This book can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend you read all of Ms. McKinley’s books. They will make you feel good and take you to amazing places!

Moonlit Kiss is a sweet romance with mystery, suspense, and just the right amount of steamy scenes. I loved the authors use of imagery. I could picture Venice and the canals, cafes, and houses so well. Gianna was an excellent main character and I enjoyed seeing her point of view. This was the first book I have read by Amy McKinley, but it definitely won’t be my last. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and mystery novels.

This story was very well written. It had everything I like to read. There was mystery, suspense, and romance. This was my first time reading anything by this author and it will not be the last.

After reading Twisted Secrets I couldn’t wait to read Bound by Secrets. Jaxon and Kayla have waited a long time with lots of secrets to find their happy place. Plenty of twists and turns that keep the story very interesting and your attention captivated. This is a great quick read and doesn’t let you down with suspense and romance. Amy is quickly becoming one of my favorite Author’s with this series.

Bound by Secrets is the 2nd novel in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. The second installment focuses on Xander’s brother, Jax, and his former girlfriend, Kayla. Kayla is looking to escape an abusive relationship and goes home. To keep her parents safe, she asks Jax to give her a place to stay. As their relationship grows again, they are confronted with secrets from the past, surrounding the death of Kayla’s brother and Jax’s best friend.
Bound by Secrets was a good novel. Kayla and Jax have a very realistic relationship, and are great characters. I am enjoying the books focusing on each brother individually and then how there is an ongoing story throughout. Amy McKinley is a fantastic writer, and knows how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat until the last page. I did not see the twist in this story coming! Can’t wait to read #3!

This book was impossible to put down once I picked it up. I love Romance and Suspense and Twisted Secrets has both! Amy gives great details about Xander and Riley ‘s individual pasts and she does amazing switching between the two characters to get the entire story. It truly was a joy to read. Cannot wait to read the next books in this series.

He is supposed to be getting the weapon but will not leave without Hannah. He still harbors feelings for her. Fingers start pointing at Hannah at being a traitor. Corruption runs deep and Jack and Hannah need to find out what is going on and fight to clear her name. This was soooo good!

This one was no exception to that. Once again I found myself completely drawn into the storyline and losing track of time. This author creates a story world worth getting lost in. The characters are complex and relatable, they pulled into their story with ease and I loved my time with them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I love second chance romance stories, they tend to hold so many more feelings. This one was no exception, and the basis of the story lumped on even more emotions that hit me right in the feels. Kayla dealt with so much heartache, and loss, and the damaging relationship with Roy. She was strong and resilient, despite it all, and I love that in a female lead. Jaxon was… near perfect. He did everything right to get Kayla back into his life. And that ending! I was shocked. This is the second book I’ve read by Amy McKinley now, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

Moonlit Kiss: A Venice Romance is a fantastic romantic suspense novel by Amy McKinley. I have been a huge fan of Amy McKinley’s writing for a couple of years now and she never fails to impress me with every new book she brings out. Not since Sylvain Reynard’s Gabriel’s Inferno series have I wanted to visit Italy so much. This book has totally made me dream of visiting Venice one day. I absolutely loved Gianna and Sergio’s story, told alongside Sophia and Giovanni’s story. I loved the way that the 2 stories were interlinked leading up to a fantastic finale. As well as these four there is an excellent cast of secondary characters from the wonderful Cat to the extremely evil Lucia. I’ve said in other reviews and I’ll say it here. For me one of the true marks of a great author is how much they get you hate the bad guy (or woman) and believe me, I hated Lucia with a passion. I was totally hooked by Moonlit Kiss from the very first pages and was glued to the story throughout. I was eager to see how Sophia and Giovanni’s tale of woe would unfold. Amy McKinley has an amazing talent of writing an amazing story that will have you eagerly turning the page and not wanting to put the book down and Moonlit Kiss is most definitely in this class. Worth more than 5 stars!

The third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series, Amy McKinley’s Forged by Secrets is a great ending to the series! An explosive first chapter made it easy to binge this book, finishing it within 24 hours of the previous novel.
A classic tale of opposites attract, the characters in this novel share undeniable chemistry from the very beginning. Through flashbacks, steamy scenes and heart wrenching moments, Amy does an amazing job at wrapping up the trilogy. Even though I am sad that this story has ended, I am excited to read more of her work.

Bound by Secrets by Amy McKinley is the second book of the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series. Personally I wouldn’t read it as a standalone mainly because the previous book “Twisted Secrets” did have some mystery that hasn’t been solved yet and continues in this book.
Kayla Kane fled her abusive relationship and needs a place to hide out until things smooth over. Jaxson Hale is a former Navy SEAL and Kayla’s brother’s best friend.
Their story is a second chance romance. They have to overcome their past and get their secrets out in the open if they are ever going to have a shot at being together. Kayla, haunted by her brothers tragic death years before, knows there is more to the story than what she was told. Jaxson, bound by a promise, knows that he’s going to have to break it if he’s ever going to get his second chance with Kayla.
I am enjoying this series. I liked how their story is really just a continuation from their childhood, and you get bits and pieces of that as you read through.

I love Amy McKinley and all of her novels and series, but this latest one Moonlit Kiss of the Moonlit Destination Series has really become a fast top favorite, like probably my all time favorite number one read of hers. This one was so very vivid and I felt from page one as if I was right there with the characters walking in their shoes and along for the adventure. I really was on the streets of Venice and the added suspense and spins of intrigue that were layered in the romance of this read was beyond stellar. I could not put this book down. I read until three am so that I could see how Gianna and Serigio’s story would come to a close. I just had to know there was no way any rest would be had until I did. This is one you don’t want to miss and can be enjoyed as a standalone read, but I would recommend the entire series!

Moonlit Kiss is a Moonlit Destination romance by Amy McKinley, which can be read as a standalone. After enjoying Moonlit Mirage and Moonlit Whisper I knew I was in for a treat, and something completely different, and Moonlit Kiss did not disappoint! The main selling point of this series is the settings. It’s like a holiday in a book! I loved exploring Venice with Gianna, savouring McKinley’s vivid descriptions. Speaking of vivid descriptions, readers are treated to plenty of detail in these books – in Moonlit Kiss I particularly enjoyed learning about the fresco restoration work Gianna was doing. Moonlit Kiss combines destination romance with ghost story, as Gianna seeks to unravel a gripping mystery. Definitely a page-turner, and one I struggled to put down! For me, this is a five-star read. I’d recommend to anyone who wishes they could pop over to Italy without having to quarantine – this book will take you there for a lot less than the price of a plane ticket!

Go Team J&K! This is the second book in Amy McKinley’s “Deadly Isles Special Ops” series, and I for one, was not disappointed. I enjoyed getting to know a little bit about Jaxon in the first book, but this one really allows for the reader to dig deep, and understand the Hale brothers’ relationship, and their Navy SEAL past. Jaxon is certainly a little more high-strung than his laid-back brother, Xander, but his character is just as heart-melting and endearing. The female main character, Kayla, is everything you would hope to be in a woman that’s just escaped an abusive relationship, and although I found the first little bit to be hard to read, due to the abusive content, you’re drawn into their stories, both separately and later on, together. As with all of Amy’s written works that I’ve read thus far, I was entranced, and in turn, was saddened, elated, heart-broken, and over all covered in goosebumps during this literary escape! I am so excited to start the third book in this series, in fact, have my weekend empty to do just that!

Goodness me! This book had my mind racing and trying to solve the mysteries introduced within a few chapters. I described it to my partner as my own little T.V show within the novel, and I just couldn’t put it down. This will be the fourth adventure I’ve experienced with Amy McKinley’s writing, and I haven’t been let down yet. I just loved the chemistry between Xander and Riley, and their own backstories. The way she incorporated the information about these two and their families was incredible. Thank you, Amy, for these adventures, and for a way to get out of my head for a while. I will certainly be recommending this to friends as well and cannot wait to start on the 2nd and 3rd novel in this series!

The second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series, Amy McKinley’s Bound by Secrets is the perfect sequel to an amazing first book! With relatable characters, a suspenseful story line, and an inability to put it down for very long, it didn’t take me long to devour this book.
Amy did an amazing job at picking up where the last book ended, albeit with the focus on two new characters that were introduced in the first novel. From the first paragraph to the last kiss, I found my heart racing, whether from the steamy encounters or the suspense over what might happen next. Amy also did a great job at setting the scene for the next book in the series, leaving the book on a cliffhanger that inspired me to download the next book right away.
After reading this book, I look forward even more to reading more of her novels, and suspect that I will be reading many of them sitting by the lake or on my porch this summer!
