There is also a mystery into circumstances surrounding their friends that draws them in unbeknownst to them. This book has romance, paranormal, and mystery all into one. It was a fun read!

We meet Fiona who is currently dating Lachlan. He is kind of cocky and selfish. It makes the reader wonder why Fiona is even dating him. Then we meet Connor. He and Fiona are meant to be together. It was fun to read their backstory and how they grew up together. It’s a super short story but fun to read!

Honesty, this book was so amazing from beginning to end, I pretty much read it thru a 24 hour day, I just kept wanting more and more and to basically be in Venice! The author truly has a natural talent not only for an amazing story and novel but the descriptions they use to describe the art and landscapes of Venice is truly what captured my heart and my mind from the very start.
I love romance stories and anything of the sort. This novel was my first time reading by this amazing author. And this most certainly will not my be my last.
It wasn’t just the art descriptions that hooked me but also the characters! Gianna and the man who she meets in perhaps dare to say random act of being heroic. But is life really that common where you meet someone thru an even that you may never have met other wise? Is there truly reasons behind why things happen to you that you may be unable to explain?
I think the characters Gianna and Sergio had these thoughts from when their eyes first met in their daring encounter. I think based on what I felt they felt they knew some how even though at the time they could not explain it they had felt these exact feelings in that moment before. But the question was how?
As I continued to read on, the story just captivated me to read more and more and I yearned for more and what was to come. This was a work of art itself. The story of how it progresses thru the tale of the time in Venice it was honestly so amazing and beautiful and I was truly sent to another world…perhaps dare to say not even in this life time.
This author truly is amazing and I have no words to describe their creative and artistic ability that would do them justice.
This will not be my last but more less my first of many. I want more and I already want more novels by Amy McKinley.
She has an gift to touch an reader, in a way that feels like a beautiful painting being made with every stroke made, more beauty just keeps flowing form the brush to the paper or canvas
Pick up this novel and read it! You will fall in love over and over again. That is a promise 🙂

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance) (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – I love Amy McKinley books and this one was no different. This is the story of Gianna Bellini who is an artist who has just landed her dream job in Venice to restore a century old painting. While walking about Venice one day she takes a misstep and almost lands in a canal but a gentleman by the name of Sergio Vitale saves her. She and Sergio form a friendship and she leans on him to help her thru the new city. When she begins work on the painting she realizes its missing a panel so she turns to Sergio again for help. Sergio also admits to Gianna he has feelings for her so that throws another wrench in the situation. Will Gianna be able to solve the mystery of the missing panel and will she and Sergio make a go at a relationship. This book is a fast paced fun read!

I am really enjoying this series and I think this book is definitely my favourite so far. Even though this is book 3, it can be read as a standalone, although I’d recommend reading them in order as other characters do make an odd appearance. Hannah is a sleeper agent for Russia, and is finally activated. Jack works for Grey Ghost and Hannah is the girl that got away. I loved Hannah’s character, it was a refreshing change to see the female lead be as competent at espionage as the guys, and she was seriously well trained. I enjoyed the style of the book, the flashbacks to Hannah’s youth, helped explain how she ended up where she did and why her loyalty lay where is did, and why she trusted nobody … until Jack. Jack is certain that Hannah is his future, but he can’t bring himself to trust her completely after he finds out that she is a sky. The complex plot of this story was brilliant, very well explained and really does keep you guessing until the end. There are several, ‘I wasn’t expecting that’ moments that really add to the suspense. Definitely a book and series I would recommend. The narration by Regan Brown is excellent as usual and I enjoy that the same voice is used for all the books. In the series.

Amy McKinley proves yet again that she is a magnificent writer that deserves to be on every romance-lovers to-read list with her second book of the Moonlit Destinations series. More suspenseful than the previous and leaving the reader wondering what will happen next, it is no wonder that I finished yet another one of her books in record time. Yet again, I find myself excited to read the next book in this series, and eventually read the series it is connected to, the Gray Ghost series.
The book reels you in from the very first paragraph, with a heart-pounding scene that leaves you questioning what just happened. When the lovers reunite later on, you can’t help but hope that the novel will end with a happy ending, despite many things trying to keep them apart. Another short yet sweet novel, readers will devour this quickly.

Amy knows what genre works for her and she does it really well. This romance suspense story takes us through the cobblestone pathways, water canals and centuries old buildings and art of beautiful Venice. I have visited Italy, so it was so easy to envision all that Amy’s rich narrative provided. There is mystery and suspense which just adds another dimension to this already wonderful read. This is most definitely my favourite book by Amy to date.

Amy McKinley is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. From the descriptions of beautiful scenery to the way the characters magnetically come through as endearing from the reader’s perspective. Amy McKinley strikes again! One of her shorter novels, Moonlit Whisper: An Irish Romance, this modern contemporary romance was good albeit too short for my liking, as I can never get enough of her writing! Amy is solidifying herself as one of my favorite authors the more I read of her, every book I read I finish wanting more of her!
A classic second chance at romance, Amy does a great job at giving backgrounds to each of the main characters, helping the reader to understand the character and romance between them. I devoured this book in mere hours, much like her other novels, and am excited to read more!
For me, this was the most beautiful book I’ve read in quite awhile. This book was beautiful as it brought to light just what makes Italy a great country. The scenes bring you closer to being in Italy itself as the author’s words transcend you there through the pages. The story wrapped around the scenery draws you in. Moonlit Kiss : A Venice Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. I was drawn into the story from the very beginning and was so absorbed by it that I couldn’t put it down, reading it from beginning to end in one sitting. It is a fantastic romantic suspense, with mystery, sizzle, dramatic developments, intriguing characters, and enticing storyline. I loved the whole mysterious, otherworldly vibe that Ms. McKinley infused into her storyline- it definitely added an extra element of interest to the storyline. I love that Ms. McKinley always manages to up the ante with each new story- creating new and unexpected ways to keep me enthralled. Gianna Bellini can’t believe her luck when she hired to restore a large fresco painting in Venice. She has long dreamed of the city of bridges, and can’t wait for her adventure to begin. As soon as she lands, Gianna can’t help but feel a familiarity that she can’t quite explain. She feels like she’s been there before, but not in this lifetime. Things take an interesting and somewhat mysterious turn, bringing Sergio Vitale into her life. As things heat up, strange things begin to happen. Sinister forces seem to want to direct her fate. Things get a bit intense as everything unravels- past and present collide, making for a riveting read. You definitely won’t want to miss this exciting story… Happy Reading!

Gianna has just arrived in Venice for the job of her dreams. She is going to be restoring a mural. But, as soon as she arrives in Venice, it is like she has been there before even though she never has. Weird things keep happening to her. When she becomes ill and a doctor saves her, it is an instant connection. But why does it feel like she knows him somehow?
Sergio is at the café when Gianna becomes dizzy and stays with her as she recovers. There is an instant connection that he doesn’t quite understand but he wants to follow where his heart is leading him. As weird occurrences happen around Gianna, he is realizing that the superstitions and folklore of Venice may have more truth to them than her realized.
This book has a supernatural feel to it with the spirits of the past intertwining with the mortals of the present. It made for a unique story that I enjoyed reading. The story wove the two realms together in a romantic, yet eye-opening, way…which made for an entertaining story.

If Amy McKinley wrote it, I am going to read it! I definitely enjoyed Moonlit Kiss but I would be lying if I said that it didn’t take me a bit to get into. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can’t think of a single thing wrong with this book which is a prime example of why I will read anything by this author. I think I just have an attachment to her Gray Ghost series! Moonlit kiss had a lot of great supporting characters that made the story for me! The imagery is enough to transport you on a vacation and once I let myself be transported, I didn’t want to put the book down. Another win for Amy McKinley, 4 out of 5 stars from me.

This was a quick read. The main characters of Fiona, Connor and Lach are pretty realistic. The 3 grew up together and then Connor moved to America with his mom to escape an abusive dad. But now, he’s back and wants Fiona back. A lot has changed and now Lach is engaged to Fiona. There are nasty little cleat-chasers like Britney causing issues. Will Fiona and Connor be able to rekindle their childhood love? The fairies think they might. It’s a fun and quick read. Amy McKinley doesn’t disappoint. You’ll like this book.

I have read a few of Ms. McKinley and I am hooked. The characters are amazing and well written. I loved the way these characters played off each other. Again Ms. McKinley did it again with her description of Italy and the cobble stones. Gianna Bellini is an artist and conservator and lands her dream job in Venice to restore and complete a century-old fresco painting, she packs her bags and hops the first flight to Italy. While walking the cobble stones she felt Deja’vu she has been to this wonderful floating city before. Venetian native Sergio Vitale rescues Gianna from a chilling plunge after a misstep at a canal-side café. She is making great progress on the restoration of the painting but as she works she finds that fresco painting is missing a panel. As these two get closer she turns to Sergio for help. While trying to discover the fresco painting Gianna is having these dreams with haunting whispers where century-old Venetians have met their end. Can Gianna and Sergio discover where the missing panel? Can Gianna fight her destiny as Sergio fights for a future that includes Gianna in it? Beneath the Surface is the third book in the Gray Ghost series by Regan Brown. This series keeps getting better and better. This book features Jack and Hannah. The timeline in this book is simultaneous with book two Eye of the Storm. You really should read/listen to this series in order to get the full effect of how all of the characters interact with each other. Hannah, is a tough as nails, able to take care of herself kind of girl. Jack is a great match for her and their chemistry is off the charts. I just can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.
Regan Brown has narrated the first three books in this series. She makes the characters pop and her voice is easy to listen to. This was a really pleasurable way to spend time with the guys and gals of Gray Ghost!

A timely novel that just makes your heart flutter. The story of Gianna and Sergio. Gianna comes to Venice to restore a mural. She feels the pull of Venice and experiences some deja vu. She feels Giovianni and memories of Sophia. She meets Sergio, her soul mate. Together, they must sort out what is going on and figure out the figure out the mystery of who is trying to get rid of Gianna. You will end up feeling all the emotions. Amy McKinley never fails with her books. A winner right here!

Overall, the story was a decent, quick read though I did have a heard time getting involved in this story. I would have liked to see more depth of the characters though I do understand that since it was short that is not always easy to do. The base of it is enjoyable and I really liked the character connections between Fiona, Connor and Lach. I would read more from this author and would like to see other types of books from her.

This story was laid out nicely. The strong memory that Cade had of Nadia was well thought. I also liked the personal reasons that guided them together. The connection from their past encounter and their present was clever. I didn’t get a strong sense of suspense as I’ve seen in other reviews but the story was carefully thought through. I appreciated the shorter story because I feel that the length may have drawn it out and impacted the feel of the story.

This book had a nice story but I had difficulty embracing Giana’s character. Sergio’s romanticism was great but their chemistry wasn’t a complete sell for me. I did appreciate the women tapestry of the past and present, mirroring what was god on against what had already transpired. I loved the pieces of history and the connection to art. I also enjoyed how the characters fit in together and Giana’s relationship with the parties that were her present but also how it connected with her past. The fountain scene was my favorite!

Forged By Secrets by Amy McKinley is the 3rd installment of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This story tells us the story of Tyler and Malina. I’ve read the two prior books in this series and I have enjoyed them all. I appreciate this book because it gave us more of a story within the SEAL team dynamic and how all the storylines are intertwined. Malina’s backstory is actually my favorite of the main female characters of this series. She brings more depth to the series by the past she has endured and it adds to the level of trust and faith she places in Tyler to help her when she is framed with treason. Also, the level of respect within the main male characters of this series, all brothers, is fantastic. All the main characters are likable and have been fun to get to know throughout all 3 books.

I love this author and have already listen to the first two books in this series and this book does not disappoint, we meet Hannah in the second book briefly but not quite understand how she is in the jungle but this book delves into her background and gets you wanting to hate her but I ended up routing for her and Jack.
The narrator is brilliant and really draws you into the story, I loved the way that the characters react to each other and the drama builds with the twists and turns.
I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this instalment.

This story was fabulous. The backstory for the main character was heartbreaking and made me hurt for her. The way she wrote the secondary characters made me feel like I knew them all, and made me want to be a part of their life. The suspense and romance were seamlessly intertwined and really showed their relationship as so authentic. She did such an amazing job with all the characters, but especially with the internal conflict of the main character. She had so much going on in her mind and was so independent, but knew she needed help and was okay asking for it from someone she knew she could trust. Their relationship was so sweet but so realistic and they’re the type of couple that would be relentlessly teased (good-naturedly) about how cute they are.

Moonlit Kiss is my sixth novel by Amy McKinley and it is absolutely the most unique!
It takes place in the magical city of Venice where Gianna took a job to refresh artwork on the side of a home in the city. Little does Gianna know that she is already connected to the city in a way that she likely never could have imagined.
Sergio happens upon an American woman at a cafe in town and knows that that moment is life changing for him as well.
Both Gianna and Sergio feel a pull for each other that is hard to understand, but life is funny that way and all these things that happen to them, ultimately bring them closer together.
This story was truly unqiue and so romantic, tragic, and full of emotion!

This novella packed a lot of feelings in it! Moonlit Whisper follows Fiona and her being caught between the man that was there when she was at her lowest and the love of her life that left.
What happens when Connor comes back and stirs up all those feelings that never truly left, that are just buried? Will the jealously between all parties break apart everyrhing?
This was a super quick read, but I loved the writing and how complete the story felt for a novella. Nicely done!

Moonlight Mirage by Amy McKinley is a quick but intense read. It starts with Cade and Nadia meeting under the strangest circumstances and fate bringing them together again years later.
Both hold secrets, Nadia having to do with her job and her up upbringing, Cade with who his family is. Even though they have this unexplainable connection, can they get passed the past to make a go of it?
I was interested in this story from page one and for such a short novel, it certainly packed a punch with a major twist! What a read!

Moonlit Kiss is the second book in the Moonlit Destination series. It can be read as a standalone. I loved the paranormal aspects of this book and the connections to past and present. There was an air of mystery about the book, but not in the traditional sense. It was definitely an intriguing read. I also enjoyed the fact that despite their immediate connection, the interaction between the two main characters didn’t feel like insta-love. I liked the overall feel of this book in a way that I can’t quite put into words.

Another great start to the story. Gets you right on edge. Hannah on a mission, is it going to be him who rescue her or not. It’s exciting, dramatic and intriguing I really enjoyed the aspect of Russian agent as well. So many twist and turns you are chattering your teeth throughout. This book has alot of major flare or it. Fast paced action and high stakes make for an exciting read. I hope Amy does more for this series.
