This is the third installment to the series and once again it had me gripping on to my kindle eager to read it all in one sitting just couldn’t put it down. There is so much going on betrayal, revenge and just pure evil but there’s also lightness to the story with romance, trust and finding love. I loved this novel so much i like how it isn’t all rainbows and sunshine that there is rawness to the storyline and it just show life isn’t simple and there are obstacles but you can overcome them. Also I’m a sucker for a second chance romance i love that even though so much time had passed and so much has happened there is still sometimes a way to pull through and get your happy ending.

I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and I loved this one by Holly Kerr. Normally you see a book with someone jilted at the alter but this one had 2. Flora dumped her fiancé and Dean was dumped by his. Both travel to Vegas just to get away and have a one night stand together but is one night enough for them to fall in love?
I loved this book. Its the first book I’ve read by Holly Kerr and I want to go read everything else she’s written. Her characters are amazingly written and the chemistry was off the charts. This book is a great weekend read!

Heels Of Fortune PJ Santini Series Book 2 By Lynne Russell ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a romantic crime thriller. With more twists than the last rollercoaster you rode on.
PJ Santini is a news reporter as well as a private investigator. She is good at both jobs, but investigating is by far her favorite. Well, until the crime is around her and her family. Her husband died while on their honeymoon. But as time would have it. There is more to who he was then she knew. Now there is still a 6 million dollar diamond missing, a polaroid photo with suspicious activity going on. Dang she is right in the middle of it all. Who will she trust enough to help her figure this out?
Lynne Russell has taken her experience as an Anchored Headliner for a popular news station, and built this story. It has so much volume within her story. There is a seriousness to her story. Yet I could not help but laugh at different comments that were made. I love JP! She makes for a great character in this story. I can’t wait to read more of this series. Lynne Russell you hit this one right o the head! I’m looking for more!!! PLEASE!!!

The story Perfectly Played by Holly Kerr is a wonderful romance book that I loved reading. It is funny, emotional, entertaining, and hooked me in from the very beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Flora and Dean. They both had wedding plans. Flora found that she couldn’t go through with her big day and Dean’s fiancé told him she was not coming. They didn’t see themselves spending a night together that they can’t stop thinking about. An unfound note seems to end any chance between these two may have together until fate steps in. Will they act on the second chance that has been set before them? What does the future hold for Dean and Flora? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about both Dean and Flora with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but be sympathetic to what they go through and my heart went out to them. They deserve to find happiness. I enjoyed reading about the interactions/dialogue between many of the other characters in the story had with Dean and Flora. Some conversations are emotional. There are also moments that warmed my heart and had me saying “Aww.” Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

The story Minx by Maggie Adams is a book that I loved reading. It is one of those stories that had me smiling as well as laughing so much at times that I had to keep from falling out of my chair. I loved reading about the character of Miranda Blake. Miranda is a woman that I found funny, compassionate, and just plain fun to read about. While she says that she considered herself a doormat, I found her to be witty, at times sarcastic, kind, and loyal. I found myself caring about her with each chapter that I read and wanted her to be happy. The story at times includes strong emotions. This is a tale that grabbed my attention from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. There are additional characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about their part in the story as well as their interactions with Miranda. I found that the events that occur in Miranda’s life made it interesting and certainly not dull. This is a wonderful story to read and one I would recommend to be at the top of your to-be-read list.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book Two) by Brandi Elledge 5 Stars!!!!!
I couldn’t wait to read this the second book in the series. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The author really has kept the flow of the series. I found that I was glued to the pages and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
The bond between Charlie and Jamison is just magnetic. I found that the author had just enough drama surrounding them that one just couldn’t put the book down. I like how their bond grew between the two as they battled to possess the key. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and the series.

Death and the Crone (The Lucky Devil Series Book 3) By: Megan Mackie 5 out of 5 stars
The story Death and the Crone (The Lucky Devil Series Book 3) by Megan Mackie is a wonderful fantasy book that I enjoyed reading. It draws you in right from the start and I found myself getting lost in the story. I enjoyed reading about Margaret and the handsome stranger that she meets. Margaret is a woman who I found to not have a lot of hope. She is homeless and feels unwanted. She is very suspicious when an attractive stranger invites her to his home. Who is this stranger? What does he want with Margaret? I found the stranger is someone who seems to care about Margaret. He is very mysterious. What does the future hold for Margaret? Read this book to find out. This story is one that once you start will not let you go until you have read the final page. Mystery and questions abound. There are other characters that are introduced and interact with Margaret and the stranger. The story is emotional at times. There are some moments that are sad and others that speak to your heart. Highly recommended reading.

I just finished reading Shortcuts (Singularities), by Amy Bearce.
Wow – this is a very intense story about Parker and her friends DeShawn, Avery and Ethan. They are a very close group of friends and have more in common than just your typical high school hobbies!
Life is going relatively smooth for Parker and her friends until the new girl starts in school. Mia starts in her new school with some epic weight on her shoulders – and as an empath, Parker is hit with Mia’s feelings, full force.
Always wanting to fix things and make other people happy, Parker is determined to help Mia fit in and tries her hardest to help Mia find some happiness and peace.
But being an empath doesn’t exactly come with a manual and Parker’s gift starts to morph into something she hasn’t known before.
Reading about this close group of friends and how they embraced Mia and Josh, really moves you.
This was a very powerful book that I couldn’t put down!
Taking shortcuts in life might be tempting – you might get there quicker but will you get there in one piece?
I’m immensely impressed with Amy Bearce and her writing skills – this is a must read!
MINX by Maggie Adams was a delightfully funny romp that had me smiling and laughing out loud as I read along. This is also my first read by Ms. Adams, and what a great introduction it was! I will certainly be going on a search to hunt down more of her books to explore. I loved meeting Miranda, and the rest of the cast of interesting and quirky characters. They were really well developed, realistic, and relatable- this story is definitely character driven, and really wouldn’t be the same without them. But there is more to this story than just the humour- there is also loss, shock, confusion, friendship, strength, finding yourself, some drama, witty dialogue, and a great ending! After 20 years of marriage, Miranda’s husband decides to end their relationship- forcing her out of the family home and replacing her with a younger woman. She is a little lost- and with little skills except those of a stay at home mother and wife, she’s not sure what to do. But with the help of her friends, she sets out on her ‘adventure’ of building a life for herself after 20 years of basically being a doormat. And so, the hilarity ensues. This was a very short, quick and easy read. It zipped along at a fast pace, which made it a little hectic at times, and also made it a little difficult to fully connect with the characters. I would love this book to have been a bit longer, so we had more time to invest in the characters and their story. Having said that though, this was a really fun story and I did enjoy it.

The Man’s Best Friend series has another great book, Next Door Knight by Nicole Flockton. The story is a simply story, which is something that the doctor ordered. Nicole Flockton’s characters are complex but still simple which makes it believable that they could be your next door neighbors. The story is simple but moving, Kerry was an overworked woman that has way too many things on her plate. She is just getting out of a bad relationship, became a new manager at a restaurant, volunteer at the Veterans center with her therapy dog Willow, and new to the list is being a caregiver for her Father. Caleb is a K9 police officer who has a career-ending injury and is grieving for his partner Trigger. Fate has brought Willow to Caleb and that is where everything turns around for everyone involve. This is a sweet simple story that made me feel happy. There are good people and four-legged family members that can help in so many ways. Will Willow mend Kerry and Caleb? Will Kerry be able to go on the way she has been or will she feel overwhelmed to the point of no return?

This was my first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. I found myself laughing out loud more than once and I enjoyed that Miranda wasn’t the perfect in every way 20 some year old. She was written in a way that made her feel like a real person and I so appreciated that. I think one of my only negatives is that it wasn’t long enough for me. I enjoyed everything about this book except I don’t know that I ever completely connected to the story. It seemed to move a bit too fast and I would have loved more.
I will say that the very first line of the book was enough to grab me and I didnt put it down till I was finished, and my first introduction to Kimy had me rolling. I Loved Reed, once I figured out why he was the way he was with Miranda and although at one point I wanted to jump in my kindle and kick him in the shins he redeemed himself quickly in my eyes.
I really did love the whole of this book, and I love this authors writing and just simply wanted more of it. I definitely want to read more from this author.
Minx by Maggie Adams. I loved this book. Its a short, hilarious read. Its the story of Miranda Blake who is almost 50 and dealing with all the “hilarious” things our bodies do to us during this time and also dealing with work, being overweight and trying to figure out what the heck to do after a divorce. She has a great group of friends that are her rocks and they are always there for her. She is super surprised when Reed a handsome devil, sweeps her off her feet and things begin to look up. This book is all about a woman who was used and abused for years and gets dumped and finding her way back to the woman she once was, sassy and classy. I loved this book and I hope to read more from this author.
A great read about journeys. Orlagh is a Seer to a Hibernian chief who refuses to listen to her Visions. When she sees a Vision of a terrible battle, the chief dismisses it as nothing worth concern. But this vision prompts a series of events that leads Orlagh on a quest across Ireland for an heir. On her way, she finds family and deals with Fae and Norman soldiers alike. Can she find an heir to pass the brooch to and stop the Normans aswell? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Orlagh standing up for herself but kind underneath or Declan on a run of bad luck but still trying his best. A great cast of supporting characters like the shy Clodagh or Cu-Uladh stubborn but kind and funny or the annoying Bishop Malachi or the kind Gunnar. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the halls of Strangfyorthe with its colourful shields and dragons on the roof beautifully carved for a sense of awe and wonder. Or with Orlagh’s quarters for its homely feel and full of fresh herbs with their vivid colours and smells it was as if you were actually there. or the landscape with its cold winters and icy caves and snow and ice giving the reader a feel of this harsh but beautiful island. And loved the use of the senses with the sights of the vision and also sound with Declan and his songs wonderfully written. the switch of narratives between Orlagh and Declan worked well to display both storylines and was easy to follow with the names in the chapters. The use of an elderly woman as the heroine was a brilliant idea as something different in this genre and was perfectly written, with Orlagh given the respect and humour she deserves. I also loved the sense of equality, especially in the army camp scenes, where everyone is welcomed no matter which culture you came from, be it Norman or Gaelic or Osstman and all these heritages were given the respect and love they deserve in songs and language used throughout the novel. Once again, the list of pronunciations was a lovely touch and added to the feel of the ancient world. Overall, a wonderful read and I would give it five stars.

Cold Bastard by India Kells A Dark Sparrow Novel My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Such a great book! The story was filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read.
I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator and kind of jealous she has such a great thing going for her with that. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts and I love them together. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better!
The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very loveable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.

5 Stars
WOW!! I loved loved loved this book…How is this my first read by this author??? I knew from the first couple sentences that I wouldn’t be able to put this book down and I was right. I read it start to finish in one sitting and hated when it was over.
This book started right out having me on the edge of my seat, and falling in love with characters from one phone call. Levi!! **sigh** I want one… Well shoot I’ll take a Noah too LOL
This story hit on every thing I love in my books, not to mention the amazing writing style and the perfect flow throughout. I love this family and the bonds they share and how they step up to protect what is theres. Luna was AMAZING, even after all she had been through her strength shined through and I loved the interaction with her and all the brothers, and she literally cracked me up. I know for a fact I will never be able to think of or talk about apple juice ever again without laughing out loud…That rates up there with one of the funniest scenes in a book I’ve ever read and I had tears laughing so hard.
While checking out what else this author has available I have come to realize this is the start of a new series that started with another series….Yes!! I will have all of those and will be reading them as soon as possible.
I love finding new authors, especially when they are new authors that check off every favorite thing I have when reading, and I will be following and reading everything and anything this author comes out with.

Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8) By: Lara Ward Cosio 5 out of 5 stars
The story Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8) by Lara Ward Cosio is an awesome book that I loved reading. It pulls you in right from the beginning and I found myself hooked. I loved reading about Danny Boy and Amelia. Danny Boy is a man that is very attracted to Amelia. He is someone who seems to always think the worst of himself. Amelia is a woman who is looking to take a chance. She can’t get Danny Boy out of her head or her heart. Danny Boy and Amelia’s relationship is complicated. Will they be able to make it work? They find that they both want different totally different things. Will they be able to work things through? What does the future hold for Danny Boy and Amelia? Read this book to find out. I have loved reading about Danny Boy and Amelia ever since they were first introduced to the series. They are characters that I have found myself caring about and want them to be happy. This book had my emotions going up and down right along with theirs. The story also does include some steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I enjoyed reading about how Danny Boy and Amelia interact with the other characters in the story, many of which have been brought forward from the previous books. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you not wanting to put it down until the last page is finished. This is a story that should be read after reading Looking For Trouble and Felicity Found. Highly recommended reading.

Next Door Knight is book 2 in the Man’s Best Friend series by Nicole Flockton. As this was my first read by this author, I was going in unaware of the style, rhythm or pattern of this author and her work. It was a great joy to discover the story was exactly what I love about a romantic love story. The ones that are hard fought are the best!!! And it was a struggle for Kerry and Caleb. Both had damage that was evident in the way they carried themselves. But perseverance, persistence, patience and a bone deep connection and attraction would prove to be undeniable. Add in the furry little friend factor, and that is what typically goes into a quality, 5 star story. It was an experience to watch these two, who had endured so much, find each other and be able to open their hearts, minds and lives so they could bring out the best in each other. A beautiful sight to behold. 5 stars.View all my reviews

Why should the sexy immortal guy always go for the sixteen-year-old?
Margaret has given up on life. In her late sixties, homeless and unwanted by society, it seemed a logical thing to go with this rich, handsome stranger back to his expensive apartment. Sure, it probably would mean her death, but what did she have to lose anyway? But instead of finding her death, Margaret learns that nothing in her savior’s world is what it seems, including herself.
Megan is an actor, writer, podcaster and playwright in Chicago. Besides author, Megan is currently running a satirical podcast called the Princess Peach Conspiracy, about how all of the Super Mario Bros games are really a conspiracy by Princess Peach to keep the war economy going. You can hear it on iTunes, Stitcher, or GooglePlay. She also likes to knit, play games involving dice, and getting into feverish discussions about why the live action Beauty and the Beast is better than the animated version. She lives in Chicago with husband, children, dogs and extraneous relatives.

He broke her heart when he left her seven years ago. Now he’s back to reclaim what’s his… MaddJax Book One ~
Maddison Cole ~ It’s been seven years since Jaxon Jaimison left town, stole my heart, my friendship and my virginity, and took it with him. Along with our secrets. Now he’s just waltzed back into my life, swaggering toward me with his cocky attitude. And damn if he doesn’t look good. Smoldering eyes, sexy smile, and rock hard body made for climbing. Made for sin. He’s the one man that sets my insides on fire just by being in the room; just by living and breathing. The one man I can’t have. The boy who owns all my firsts. Now here he is, ambushing me with a grand entrance into our class reunion and introducing himself to everyone as my loving boyfriend, after not so much as a word all these years. He says I’m his… Says I always have been… I’m not so sure about that. Because if that were true, he wouldn’t have left me, just days after taking my virginity… ~ Jaxon Jaimison ~ I knew Maddison Cole was mine the moment I met her. Didn’t matter that we were only fifteen. When you know, you know. But then my father turned around and made her my stepsister. I understand Maddison’s worries, but I’ll never leave her again. And unlike my stepsister, I’m not hung up on the forbidden, taboo nature of a relationship between us, nor do I care what others think. We’re older now, more established, both successful. I’m not taking no for an answer. After all, I packed up my broken heart seven years ago and left town for a reason, determined on making something of myself, to be the man Maddison deserves. Maddison thinks it’s just one night, she’ll give in and then I’ll disappear again, but seducing her to my hotel suite reunion night is just the start. I’m staying, moving back into the bedroom beside hers, and the office beside hers, as co-CEO of the family business, right alongside Maddison, the current CEO… Jaxon nearly destroyed me last time. I can’t afford for history to repeat itself. Not with the future of our family and the company at risk. I’ll guard my heart and our secrets at all costs… ~
MaddJax Book Two ~
Can first love get a second chance? Maddison ~ Jaxon Jaimison wasn’t supposed to be the one. Nope. I wasn’t supposed to fall for my stepbrother. I made that mistake once. I’d be stupid to make it again. But then he came back to fix what was lost and broke. All smoldering eyes, sexy smile, and rock hard body. I tried to fight it. Really, I did. But I never had a chance. Jaxon’s mere presence sets my insides on fire, his scent and his taste put my mind in a haze. The temptation’s too strong, too close. My body craves his touch, longs to be against his. Just as I begin to feel hope for our future, let my walls down and accept what is—that Jaxon owns my heart, my body, and my soul—it all starts to unravel, when everything I hold dear is rocked by tragedy and threatened to be lost. All things come to an end, and this might be ours… ~ Jaxon ~ The years apart have done nothing to diminish the passion between us, the ever-present pull and need. But wooing my stepsister into crossing the line into the forbidden and giving us a second chance, earning back her trust and her heart after I left and shattered them both, has been a bigger challenge than I expected. Now that I finally have her in my arms, my bed, I’m never letting her go. Of course, there’s bound to be a few bumps on the path to Happily Ever After. Secrets rarely stay hushed. But I never saw what was coming. Never saw our pasts coming back to tear us apart. Never saw Maddison pushing me away. And never saw having to literally fight for our future together. Loosing Maddison isn’t an option, and I’ll fight to hold onto her with everything I am. Even, if it kills me…
After years of reading with her children and passing on a love for books, Deborah was inspired to write ‘The Destiny Series’. What started out in the beginning, as a celebration of a loving, young, innocent friendship and the affecting separation after a move, spun into a mythical journey of the loving binds of friendship, deep family ties, and an intoxicating fairy tale romance, with the power of love that knows no bounds.
‘Memory Betrayal’& ‘The Deal Series’ followed, with a leap from young adult romance to adult contemporary romance. Deborah writes stories about strong, sassy, smart, confident women and loveable, good-looking, sexy alpha men, in a range of heat levels, from sweet to steamy, who always find their happily ever after.

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
Five Stars
I’m crying. I can’t believe my eyes what I just read. This author really knows how to take you to another level of crazy. I have read many of this authors MC books and have loved them all. I was so excited when this story came out. I love getting a follow up on the other characters. I would like to say that Demon has turned into an amazing man. I love his and Hells relationship. The plot alone was enough to have me on edge. Then you throw in Vi and it’s down right amazing. She was so strong to think of her child before herself. It takes a strong person to make the choices she did. Yeah I need another book about Demon please.

Misfortune of Vision: Druid’s Brooch Series #4 by Christy Nicholas Stars-4
I love getting to read more about characters that I meet in previous books. I love reading about these characters at different times in their lives and after they have fully recognized their power that the brooch gave them. Christy Nicholas does a great job of developing her characters as well as making the world for her characters. Although these stories are part of a series, they could be read as a standalone story.

HEELS OF FORTUNE: PJ Santini Series: Book Two by Lynne Russell
Five Stars
I come from a large family but we have nothing on PJ’s family. We all have those members that you just don’t talk about. Most of the time it’s never the main crew. PJ isn’t so lucky. Lol! Her mom and dad had me in giggles. I loved the relationship between the characters and how they came together. Bonds with people that truly know you are the things that make up our core. I found her thought process scary yet funny. It was crazy being inside PJ’s head. Though I would like to go party with her. She seems like she would be a blast to hang out with. The man cakes were too much. I couldn’t handle them. I usually find one guy better than the other but not this time. I usually love the first book and follow up with book two because you just have to know more. In this case this second book has caught me more. I was highly entertained. There was never a dull moment in this story. The author kept the book from being boring by throwing in flash backs to keep you wanting to know what was next. So much excitement and danger.

Shortcuts is an easy to read young adult novel. It focuses on a group of kids who are born with special abilities after their parents utilized a special fertility drug to conceive. Parker is the main character of this novel and is an empath. She uses her ability as a shortcut in a way with people in her daily life. Mia is the new girl and is difficult to read but could also cause problems for the group of friends.
I found this book easy to read and the storyline easy to follow. The characters were descriptive and realistic despite having amazing abilities. It was easy to picture Parker’s bubbly personality as the story progressed. I really enjoyed this novel.

The Queen of Witches by Brandi Elledge is the second book in the Wheel of Crowns series. Charlie has turned 18 and things are getting weirder by the moment. She all of the sudden is having odd things happen around her and she thinks she might be causing these things to happen. This is a great second book in the series. The story is fun and interesting. Also, Charlie is smart and funny. The story had moments that had me laughing while also keeping me reading to find out what was going to happen. I can’t wait to read the third book in this series. This is a fun read with a paranormal twist.

Until Fools Find Gold opens Mary B. Moore’s Providence Gold series and I cannot wait for the rest of the series! I absolutely fell in love with Luna and the Townsend family! Apparently I should venture into Providence Series as that is about the other arm of Townsend clan and if I can judge anything based on Until Fools Find Gold, then I have nothing to lose but loads to win! This story will crack you up! I mean Luna’s inner monologue that at times she just cannot hold in, oh my, I just kept snorting out loud! And then Noah, the caveman, the Alpha, just someone who steals your heart and you go, yes yes you can be my caveman, any time, please! And then you also cry and your heart breaks for Luna … it is one heck of a rollercoaster journey that doesn’t leave you cold! They will haunt you for a while and remind you of the need for the next book in the series!

Cold Bastard by India Kells is the second book in the Dark Sparrow series. I was really looking forward to reading this after reading the first book and I was not disappointed. The story is about Zoe Somersby and Archer Blackwood. Zoe had been brought in to work for Archer as an undercover agent. The characters are well written and allowed the story to flow. There was lots of suspense and mystery as well as a little romance. I really like this is a well thought out story and the characters are interesting people. Everyone is not always what one would assume. I look forward to reading the next book in the series to see where the story goes next.
