Forged by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops #3) by Amy McKinley
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by McKinley. The Deadly Isles Special Ops Series is amazing. This can be read as a standalone.
Melina has come from Venezuela to the States only to have her life flipped around. Her parents are dead, her boyfriend is dead. It’s all her fault. The quote I chose for Melina is: “Okay, then tell me what the reason is behind you giving me one of the movies you did. Or was it strictly because you thought I’d like watching them?”
Tyler is the youngest of the Hale brothers and he’s married. Not only does his wife not know, but she is keeping her walls up. The quote I chose for Tyler is: “Case in point, you’ve got that unexpected viper tongue, and if you unleash it on one of these unsuspecting idiots who think they might have a chance with you, I’d have to get into a fight.”

Twisted Throttle Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3 By Manda Mellett ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ This is a full length MC action packed and fully suspenseful story. Be prepared to stay for the long haul. Because once you open the first page you won’t be able to put it down. For mature audiences 18 and over. Due to adult content.
Throttle and Gwen are the highlights in this story. Somebody has a score to settle with them and the hunt is on to find out WHO. Nobody messes with the enforcer, and yet there is someone wreaking havoc on him, as well as the Satan’s Devils. The brothers have a bond not to be messed with. You will need to read on, as no spoilers will be given.
Manda Mellett has done it again. This story is edge of your seat worthy. I could not put it down. (Who needs sleep anyway.) Throttle and Gwen are my new favorites with this story. All of the characters that have brought this series together, have a special place in my heart. Be prepared to fall in love with them as well. I hope you have been following this series. Because it will bring this story to life, within your mind. This is a MUST read series. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Job well done Manda Mellett! Well Done!

This is the second audio I have listened to in this series. I highly suggest listening to the first book to help you enjoy this series. I was pulled into the story by this narrator’s voice and enjoyed being engaged to the end. It was easy to listen to and made me want to keep listening. The voice is easy and fun and truly adds to the story. This is a story full of action and revenge. What happens next with this MC you don’t want to miss. She only has a small amount of time to get her revenge, will fate allow her vengeance? I highly recommend this audio, I loved it and so will you.

Forged By Secrets by Amy McKinley is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops book series. This can be read as a standalone and enjoyed but there are recurring characters from earlier books in the series. Malina has secrets and now she has been accused of treason. Who can she trust and will everything from her past come to light? Tyler wants to help Malina but will he put it all on the line for her? This is full of action, romance, intrigue, and more. I really have enjoyed Amy McKinley’s books in the past and this did not let me down. I really look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is one of my favorites for the second Generation kids. Throttle is Pegs boy. Grown up and now the enforcer for the club. I enjoyed getting to know him and his views. Watching him and Blade bounce ideas and such off each other was a delight. This also give a different look at Peg and Darcy….as parents. At times it threw me for a loop but I recovered as did they.
In here as in every book is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this group. Yeah they are bad…yeah they are tough…yeah they have sex..a lot. But my favorite thing is the family/friend camaraderie between these boys. Oh the girls have it too but those boys? They tease each other..pick on each other and goof around. Their age doesn’t matter when it come to have fun at someone else’s expense. The trip and the fun that Blade and Truck have together in here just reminds me of the good old days. Then that whole thing with Hawk and how that went down…I was sitting her smiling so so Big. Those FOG’s…you never know what they are up to when they are bunched together.
Overall this is quite an enjoyable book. Filled with fun, danger and all the Devils you can handle.

Savage by Meghan O’Flynn is the tenth book in the Ash Park series. This is such a strong and exciting series, each book just pulls you in and keeps you hooked until the end. I love picking up a new book in this series as I always know I am going to get a fast paced, action packed adventure and this book is no exception. This was such a turbulent journey – I felt like the author really played with your emotions and pulled you in every direction possible. I honestly could not have guessed at how this was going to turn out and my heart was in throat for most of it. I always think that this series just can’t get any better and then I read the next one. This is a fantastic series and one that I cannot recommend highly enough!

By the last page I was reading through tears. What a book! I love a second chance romance, and Thomas and Raynas story was so sweet but full of challenges. When Rayna finds Mason and calls Thomas for help I just knew it was going to be a wild ride. My heart hurt for poor Mason and everything he went through, but I loved every minute of reading about the three of them coming together to fight for him.

I loved it. I loved Tara, I loved Jace, I loved the mystery. Ashley A Quinn really knows how to pack a lot in one novel, in the best way! I was thoroughly invested from the beginning. The tragedy they each dealt with, the healing and learning to take that leap to love again. It was bittersweet but also so heartwarming. Then trying to piece together who was after Tara and why kept me flipping pages. Can’t wait to open the next in the series!

Twisted Throttle is the 3rd book in the Satan’s Devils MC 2nd Generation series by Manda Mellett. This series sees us get the stories of the children of the first group of Satan’s Devils we got to know. Throttle, our hero in this book is the son of Peg from Peg’s Stand. I’ve been a huge fan of Manda Mellett’s books since I first discovered the Satan’s Devils and it amazes me that she continues to come up with new stories for each of the guys and the books never get repetitive. She must have one helluva imagination to continue to give us new stories. One thing I love is that Manda Mellett takes some really dark subjects including depression (Hawk’s Cry) and in this book you get one massive shock when the book takes a turn that you would never expect. I’m not going to give any spoilers, you’ll have to read this book to see what I mean. Prepare to be shocked! Another thing I will say is that you will totally fall in love with Throttle and Gwen and will be rooting for them to get their deserved HEA. Their story is amazing and I was hooked from the very beginning right up to that shocking end. On another note, if you have read any of the first generation Satan’s Devils then you will love seeing the guys as older men with grown up children.

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming romance and although it is a fairly quick read the storyline was packed full of drama and romance. Horse trainer Stone Dempsey has a reputation as being a ladies man and his equine talents both help him impress the people at the country club and help him earn money for ‘Smoky Mountain Reining Horses’. Stone’s life becomes complicated when his drug addict sister leaves her sick baby daughter on his doorstep. Meanwhile Paediatrician Dr. Emmersyn Cole has moved in with her grandfather and has started her own practice. She is well aware of Stone’s reputation and although she was instantly attracted to him when they met she is determined to not get involved. However, when he rushes into her grandfather’s home with his sick baby niece Emmy can’t help but feel for him. The more time the couple spend together the more Stone realises that Emmy is the woman for him and Emmy starts to see a different side to Stone, one that she likes. I loved the two main characters as both Stone and Emmersyn were likeable and relatable people and the chemistry between them really came across in the narrative. I liked how their relationship developed despite the numerous misunderstandings, complications and drama that occurred in the story. I was hooked from start to finish and was cheering Stone and Emmy on hoping they would get their happy ever after. An enjoyable and engaging short read.

Seductive Prey is the first book in The Relentless Trilogy by Vivian Fiano. This isn’t my first book that I have read by Ms. Fiano, but it is definitely my favourite (so far). I can’t resist a good romantic suspense- so I happily snapped up a copy and devoured it in a matter of hours. The story is well written, and the suspenseful aspect of the story is cleverly woven- making for a gripping, action-packed ride. I thought that Ms. Fiano did a fantastic job with her character development- crafting fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks, and flaws. Jordan and Grant, in particular, were so easy to like- and before I even realised, I had invested in them and the outcome of their story. I will have to wait to find out how everything plays out, as this story ends on a cliffhanger that has me anxious to get my hands on Book #2- “Graceful Abduction”. This is romantic suspense done well- with plenty of action-packed danger; and with time slipping away, and a creepy stalker vibe happening- I was on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between our two MC’s is palpable and sizzles off the pages. I really can’t wait to get my hands on the next book- it really can’t come soon enough!
I absolutely LOVE this book and the entire series. This book continues with Beast, aka Lycus and his story. I love that the story also has Rapunzel and Red and we also introduced to a new character, Goldie. I cannot say enough of how much I love these series of books and how the author incorporates the characters. I could not put this book down! Kudos to Author Suzanna Lynn and this wonderful series!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This may be my favorite yet. Richardson has woven such a fantastic tale together throughout this series. And it feels like it has all been building toward this book. This first chapter immediately drew me in. It’s full of paranormal goodness, shifters, magic, emotion, action – all the good stuff. I don’t want to give it away because everyone should have the chance to read this and watch it unfold. Just such a fantastic book.

Mellett continues to outdo herself with every book. And I’m pretty sure this one is my favorite to date. Gripping, emotional, raw – everything was felt as I read these pages. You don’t have to read the others in the series to appreciate the book and author. But I promise you that you will want to immediately read every work she has ever written. Just so amazingly wonderful.

I love how the author crafts her stories. And this latest is such an interesting departure from her Hero High series. I loved the movement and feel of this book. It unfolded beautifully and really grabbed my attention. I love a good swashbuckling tale and this felt original. It was a truly enjoyable read that unfolded like a movie in my mind.

Wow. So I knew by the summary I would be interested in this book. Boy did it ever hold me captive as I flew though the pages. Such an original story. I loved how it moved and the different points of view we got through it all. Very fascinating and original. I really enjoyed it.
I’m not normally a paranormal genre fan, but the writing in this story had me hooked. I’ve never read a book written by this author before, however she really carried me on a ride of emotions with her writing. These characters are very interesting, the writing is phenomenal allowing the plot to flow easy. All things that I love in a book. I loved the paranormal aspect of this story as it’s not something I normally seek out. However, this one was intertwined with a mystery and a love story, so it kept me thoroughly intrigued with the ending. I was on the edge of my seat at certain points of this book and was not disappointed with the ending. I highly recommend you pick up this book and read it.
This is the 7th book in the Wounded Hearts series. Even though the books are in a series they can be read as a standalone. I loved this story as it mixes my two favourite elements, Romance and danger.
Maggie Holt is a DEA agent. She has just come out of a undercover assignment with a Mexican Drug Cartel which almost cost her her life. Now she needs to take some time to get over the experience and recover.
So when Frank a former SEAL offers her a place to stay on his ranch is seems a perfect solution. Frank hopes his peaceful ranch will help Maggie heal and also give him time to show her how much he cares for her.
This could be a perfect romance but with Maggie’s partner wanting her as well a love triangle forms. But with danger around every turn with escaped convicts and extremist groups against them can they work together as a team to remain safe and alive or will the competition for Maggie end up costing someone their lives.
Malina Johansson is an ordinary woman working as an analyst for a team of Navy SEALs, but she has secrets in her past which nobody can know about and Tyler Hale is one of three brothers and is on the Navy SEAL team which Malina is the analyst for, they have known each other since high school, but Malina has walls around her heart because of her past and Tyler wants to know the woman behind them because they have an attraction which is off the charts. That all changes when they go to Las Vegas for the birthday of a mutual friend and everyone knows that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so the alcohol flows and inhibitions lower and Malina and Tyler end up in bed together for the second time, but when she wakes up, Malina slams her walls back up and flees the room with no memories of the night before, but she thinks no more about it and goes back to ignoring Tyler as best she can while Tyler is determined to get under her skin, again as usual.
Five weeks later and Tyler is still pushing her buttons while she tries to ignore it, but she knows he is about to go on a mission which means she’ll have some breathing room while he is away, but things don’t go as planned and Tyler ends up being detained overseas longer than planned when his mission goes awry and this makes him realise that he can’t keep playing games with Malina any longer and is determined to win her over as soon as he returns to Pearl Harbour and debriefed. A few days into Tyler’s mission, Malina heads to the office after a disturbed night and an early morning dealing with the aftermath of it, all the while, she is reminiscing about a time in her life she would rather forget and sees an old friend at the harbour and stops for a quick chat which helps. It is hot, humid and she isn’t feeling her best when she approaches the front door, but she is shocked when she is waylaid by a coworker before she even gets through and what she is told shakes her to the core, she is suspected of treason and if she is seen, she will be arrested. Malina knows what she has to do and returns home to pack a few things, followed by a bus ride to the harbour via a corner shop and ATM for supplies, she stays as hidden as possible and asks her friend for their help to get to her destination. As she is about to leave, she sees a familiar face in the crowd and hopes that they are not there for her, so although she has only been there once, she heads to Tyler’s place, it is the only place she can think of to hide and hope that he will help her when he returns.
Over the next couple of days, Malina settles in and waits for Tyler while hoping that the conversation they will have will not deter him from helping her, even though it will mean danger for him, but when they do have that conversation, it is sober and over cards, this leads to truths being laid out on the table as they each reveal something which will affect the rest of their lives. Will Malina and Tyler be able to find out who has framed her for treason and the reason why, or will all the secrets of their past destroy them before they can? This is a thrilling ride as revelations occur and danger lies around every corner, it hooks you in and pulls you along as you follow the path and untangle the web of intrigue which surrounds the main characters.

This is the 3rd book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series and I loved it just as much as the first two. The author does an amazing job of making her characters so interesting and gripping that you are hooked right from the start.
In the book we follow the story of the 3rd Hale brother Tyler and Malina.
Malina and Tyler have a love hate relationship or so it would appear. However all the fighting and bickering is just to hide their true feelings for each other not that either will admit it.
When Malina runs into trouble at work by being accused of being a mole and a traitor she runs to the only person she knows and kinda trusts Tyler.
With secrets from her past coming back to haunt her, and trying to find out who is trying to set her up Tyler and his brothers have a big mission on their hands. Especially when Malina is kidnapped.
Can Tyler and the Hale brothers solve this and save Malina? What secrets does Tyler hold? And can Malina finally let her walls down and let Tyler and love in?

To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland was a great fantasy read! I loved Titiana and was hooked for more of her story at the beginning. She is tenacious and strong, but also very relatable with her anxieties and worries. I immediately had a thousand questions, the pacing kept me at the edge of my seat. I love all things Fae and Fantasy and I was not disappointed by this read at all. I cannot wait for a reread all ready.

5 out of 5 stars
This is a great story/series and I just started reading this authors books and I am hooked. The characters are well written and amazing. The story line was awesome and could have come off the headlines in the news. The detail description was like I was in Honolulu and on there private island. Malina Johansson is an analyst for the Navy SEALs and has some serious drama is her childhood. Tyler Hale is a Navy SEAL who has always had a thing for Malina but she has always kept her walls up. One night of drinking in Vegas is all it takes for her guard to drop, and to fall into his arms. Back home she keeps her distance but Tyler has a secret But Malina has one too. I wonder what the secrets are. Will Tyler break Malina’s walls down? Will they have a happily ever-after? You will have to read this story/series to find out what happens…..

Spiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay is a dark tale that reveals bullying, harassment, and torture. It is an emotional and angst-ridden ride. It is dark and twisted and some will find it hard to read but I love dark and twisted if it is done well. Having said that this story was good but had the potential for something more to take it to the next level which was just out of my reach.
It’s a good start to the duet and I look forward to seeing what comes in book 2.

This series follows a group of college mates, best friends out in the world but in no way have they made the transition to fully fledged adults by the age of 30. So, now the fun begins. Bets are made and each one finds much more than they bargained for.

Scorching Hot Mess by Brooke May is a fun and enjoyable read that will most definitely put a smile on your face.
Willow gets herself into a bit of a dilemma when she can’t quite piece together the events of a drunken night out. Her main clues are the phone numbers she finds on a bunch of wrinkled-up napkins. On the search for ‘Mr Right’, she decides that calling them up could help on her hunt, but things don’t quite go as she hoped. I was looking for a light-hearted read when I picked this book, but I got a lot more. The author makes the characters strong and relatable and the story funny. It was a quick read for me, mainly because I couldn’t put it down. This was my first time reading anything by Brooke May, but I will definitely lookout for more in the future.

Officer Grant Summers, a Boston cop, grew up needing law enforcement as the child of a drug addicted mother, and has sworn to pay it forward.
Jordan Smith enlists in the Army National Guard as a means to pay for school with the hopes of running her own dance studio some day.
When a crime is committed at her job, and Grant—Officer Summers—comes to the rescue, he jumps at the chance to pursue Jordan and a relationship. Their attraction is off the charts, but as their relationship begins to blossom, they discover they’re both being watched.
The threats are pouring in and the clock is ticking as Grant races to save Jordan from the man who has made her his seductive prey.
Vivian enjoyed reading as a child and found her passion for it again in 2011 when E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey was released. Her love of reading was re-ignited and she continued reading other books in the same genre.
Married to her own real life hero, Vivian met her love in Massachusetts where she was born and raised. She and her family now reside in sunny Florida and when she’s not writing she enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and football with her son.
I love me some C. A. King! This is a great paranormal horror read. I really like how parts of this story could come to be reality. This book will have you turning pages into the night and rooting for the little guy. With Rod’s good heart and Ned’s sarcasm what could possibly go wrong? Evil Sushi has a little of everything thrown in. I cannot wait to read book two!!!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by King. She knows how to bring readers back to her books. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Rod is a fisherman and when he and a friend hit gold things start looking up. Sort of. He can see him falling for his friend’s daughter, but he doesn’t have anything to offer. The quote I chose for Rod is: “You’re in early, Ned. Did you have any luck out there?”
Sally has been taking care of her father since her mother passed away. She has her eye on Rod, but doesn’t think he feels the same. When her father and Rod bring in something that changes everything. The quote I chose for Sally is: “You’re the exception, I tell you. You want some water? Or I can make some lemonade, if you’d like.”
