I loved this story! It was such a fun and quick read. I really enjoyed book 1 so I was definitely looking forward to getting into this one and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I love the characters; they are so relatable and they have such a great connection with each other. I just loved reading about them. I really like Sadie, I liked her from book 1 so I was looking forward to her story – I was certainly laughing out loud. I liked the romance, the magic – it all made for a wonderful read. I can’t wait for the next book!

This is the 6th book in the series and I still love reading about Jake and his dog! The stories are exciting and I really love this authors imagination. I am always engaged from beginning to end. The authors descriptive detail in this story was excellent and I really did feel like I was right there with the characters during parts of the story. I love that the author keeps the suspense going throughout the book, I always feel like I am solving the crimes right along with Jake! I would definitely recommend this story to other readers and the series.

Evil Sushi was a chilling read that really had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. I don’t usually go for this type of book but I have read work by this author previously and the story was so well written, that although it wasn’t my usual, I still really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. The characters were really interesting to read about, the character development was excellent which is a strong point for this author in my opinion. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

I have read quite a few of Ms. Mellett and her writing gets better with each book. The characters are well written with strong personalities and unusual quirks.
This story is about Throttle he is Peg’s and his old lady Darcy son. He is a full patched member he even took followed fathers and is the enforcer. He is young and cocky and a ladies’ man. He is not the settling down type, he is a one night and done he doesn’t want a woman to call his own and has no intention of becoming a husband, certainly not for a good few year’s.
In walks Gwen she is his little sister friend from school he never noticed her while growing up but he notices her now. Gwen is a new waitress at the Wheel Inn restaurant and bar which the club owns, Throttle is often there acting as a bouncer and the pair reconnect, platonically or something else?
What happens when these two gives into their desires? Who doesn’t want these two in a relationship? Why is somebody stalking Throttle now? Are the stalking Throttle or Gwen? Can they come up with a plan before someone gets really hurt?
This is a great book/series and I highly recommend it…. Tracy

I love a good rom-com, always could use a laugh and this did just that and more. I really enjoy this author she brings her characters to life and you feel you could be friends with them in real life. Can not wait to see what she writes next!

Savage: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 10) by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars Petrosky, this man is quickly becoming my favorite fictional character. Edward Petrosky is back and so are the super evil people in his life. A killer is back, back from the histories of Petrosky’s own past and he isn’t prepared for what that might mean. Setting aside the fact that he can barely get through the day without taking a shot of whiskey in the morning, a waitress from his favorite diner has gone missing, and she is due with her baby any day now. When the baby shows up, abandoned in the basement of a rundown house, Petrosky is worried she may be already dead. Is it the killer? O’Flynn is a fabulous story teller. I have LOVED this series from Volume 1 – 10. This is a fabulous series and is best read in story book order. 4 out of 5 stars.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety is book two in the Cecily Taylor series by Krysten Lindsay Hager. This series is a fabulous one for the young lover of romance. They are sweet with just enough angst and drama to keep you avidly glued to the pages, without being too descriptive or suggestive. Cecily seems to have it all. A career that was about to take off, a boyfriend that was both sweet and attentive, and a life that was envied and respected. But there would not be a story if there wasn’t dramatics, emotions and something to test the characters. It is what keeps me going back for more and turning each page. This story is one to be enjoyed by all ages, but it will definitely appeal to the young. And the young at heart. 4 stars.

Dre has determined never to return to Emerald Creek and all its shitty memories, but circumstances conspire against her and she is forced to confront both her past and the only man that she ever let herself truly love, who broke her heart. Though she knows that she should keep her distance, everything about the place is still as magical as she remembered, and even though she knows better she can’t resist the pull to Erick that is still as strong as ever. Got to say that Dre is, in one word, a hedgehog. She comes across as so prickly and a little bit unlikeable at the beginning, then as the story goes on, we get to see her soft fluffiness that is desperate to find that love she once believed in. I think this actually made me like her more because I think I’d be a little bit of an arsehole if I had gotten my heart stomped on. Erick is on the other side of this romantic little coin, drowning in the regret of hurting the one woman he truly loved. He knows that giving his marriage a shot was important and even though it broke down, he still got Orchid, his daughter, who by the way is just awesome. I have sometimes found kids cringey in these kinds of stories, but Orchid was not cringey. Erick can’t help but see Dre turning up at Emerald creeks as a second chance and he is determined to prove himself and show her that if she opens her heart to him this time, he won’t hurt her. Was a lovely romantic read that warmed my heart, and I thoroughly recommend this to anyone that wants to lose themselves in a bit of light, fluffiness for a while. Jackson has written something truly wonderful here, that should be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Peaceful Slumber is the first book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett.
This story took me well out of my comfort zone. After literally facing death, for a few minutes at least, Scott’s life changed forever. Everything he knew, or thought he knew, has been turned on its head. He not only has the ability to see and talk to ghosts, but he finds himself helping to solve the puzzle that will help set someone free.
This book is very well written, it is easy to read and the characters are fantastic. There are plenty of surprises to keep you guessing, and the twists and turns throughout the storyline will keep you turning pages. If, like me, ghost stories aren’t your usual pick I would definitely recommend giving this book a chance.

Petrosky is messed up but even for him his world is shaken to its core.
This psychological thriller is dark and gut-wrenching. It leaves you thinking about it long after you have finished it. I am surprised I didn’t have a heart attack as we watched Petrosky turn himself inside out for those he loves. I swear I lost 5 kilos’ just reading this book and my emotions were on high alert jumping at each sound.

WOW! I was truly impressed with this book! Jordan’s Shadow by T.R. Cupak is about Lezleigh Fillmore AKA Jordan Smith. Lezleigh was a privileged girl who after her father died, lived with her “mother” and then also her step-father. One night, things went too far with her step-father and his associates and from then on she was Jordan a poor girl fighting with addiction to forget that tragic night. Hunter Knight or “The Shadow” was a client of Jordan’s and has been one for the last 3 years. Even though Jordan hasn’t ever seen him she is intrigued and a bit in love with him. Hunter has ulterior motives though. He knows who Jordan is, is in love with her and wants to seek out revenge for her. So he sets course to make that happen for her. This story is all kinds of messed up but it makes for a seriously good book. This story was written so well that I did not want to put this book down! You feel so broken hearted for her and want to help fix her. However, she ends up finding herself in the end. This book is also very empowering. Now, the sexy scenes in the book are very yummy and very hot! I love the connection between this couple along with Monte, their bodyguard. This book is all about revenge and self-preservation. I would absolutely recommend this book to someone and cannot wait to read more from this author!
Hawk’s Cry: Satan’s Devils MC-Next Generation #2 by Manda Mellett
This is another fantastic read by Mellett. She knows what to do to bring readers back to her books. Hawk’s Cry is just amazing.
Olivia was born and raised in the MC. Six months pregnant and now out on her own. Of course, her husband, Eli, is with her. Not having family or friends close by sucks. The quote I chose for Olivia is: “I do. I’m six months pregnant. I’m happy to try to get a job, but I’ve had an easy life. All I’m capable of being is a barista or something.”
Eli, aka Hawk, has left the club behind. He was born and raised there, but he doesn’t want the same for his kids. He’s let down family, friends, and his wife. Ths quote I chose for Eli is: “I’m my own man. I knew what I was getting myself in for, and it was the fastest way out. Dad would have tried to persuade me to change my mind, and I didn’t want to talk. My decision had been made. Sure, Throttle might have brought it up quicker than I expected and forced the issue, but though I’m hurting, I’d never take it back.”

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Mellett. I have read several of the Satan’s Devils MC Series. Each of them has a place in my heart.
Amy grew up on the MC Compound in Tucson. She was five when Drew came into her life and he’s the reason she left Tucson behind. Of course getting her independence was another reason. Then something happens. The quote I chose for Amy is: “You’ll always be Drew to me. Is it really that important to you?”
Drew, aka Wizard, owed the Satan’s Devils MC his damn life. They took him and his older sister in when things weren’t going good. When he meets Amy she’s ten years younger. As she gets older he can’t stop thinking about her. The quote I chose for Drew is: “The MC saved Mariana, and myself. We both could have died were it not for their help. Such a big debt owed, I wanted to give something back. So I prospected and became a member. When you went away, I was lost, adrift, made to re-evaluate my life. I f-ed up, Amy, I admit it. I’d lost my friend and realised I’d lost the girl worth waiting for. All I could do was throw myself into the MC. I aimed at becoming an officer when the old regime eventually retired. I lived and breathed the club, and I still do. Got to admit that.”
In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety by Krysten Lindsay Hager is the second book in The Cecily Taylor series. The story picks up from the first book as we read that Cecily and Andrew are continuing to talk and date. The two of them are figuring out what a long distance relationship entail as Andrew goes off to work on writing and recording some songs. Add into this stress and anxiety, Cecily’s best friend Lila pulls away when Cecily voices her opinion on Lila taking back her ex boyfriend. This is something I know many teens experience where a friend seems to push others away to be with someone. It is a learning experience for all involved. I really enjoyed reading this second book. I would recommend this series to any young woman.

I thought this book was fun to read, and definitely got me out of my normal comfort zone when it comes to reading. The story is nothing that I have ever read before. Nothing like a combination of Evil Fish and Zombies :). Story had action, intrigue, mystery and a bit of horror all wrapped into one. I loved the concept and story and I cannot wait to read book #2!

TW: this book depicts and talks about abandonment, abduction, addiction, adultery, depression, murder, prostitution, rape, self-abuse, and suicide (this list is in alphabetical order, not in order of relevance).
While I am a fan of the dark romance genre anyways, I really enjoyed this book, not because of the romance, but because you travel along with Jordan as she starts to confront her demons; mental and external. You also see how one event can impact a person’s life and the repercussions it has in the years to come (yay psychology!). There is of course sexual encounters between Jordan and her Shadow, but it’s not your typical romance novel. This is a survivor’s story; you get the raw, brutal truth about her feelings and coping mechanisms, or lack thereof.
Jordan’s Shadow also has hints of mystery as chapters swap between Jordan’s Point of View and her client’s, “the Shadow,” who knows more about her past than he should.

I absolutely recommend this story. Nikki Lynn Barrett has written one heck of a ghost story. Three years ago Scott died, for 10 minutes. After he was revived, things had changed for him. He could see ghosts. Scott has to work his way through a maze of lies and deceit to make the lovely Zelda whole again. A ghost story with suspense and a mystery all wrapped up in pages that basically turn themselves.

The plotline is face-paced and engaging. The characters are fully developed and complex. We are going to be reading about Delilah and Mason. Delilah has found herself in trouble. She has been going away from everyone and now she needs to seek out Mason to help her. Now the question will be is Mason going to help her out. I highly recommend you reading this book to see what will happen next.

Twisted Throttle (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3) By Manda Mellett 4 Stars
This is an MC romance story. It’s the second generation of the original characters in the Tucson chapter. Noah is all grown up and is now the enforcer for the club. Being one of the few single guys left, he knows the drill. He always covers up on his one night stands. Accidents happen but he realizes this a little too late. The timing couldn’t be worse. He finally meets his other half but he’ll become a father with another. Can their relationship survive this giant hurdle? If that wasn’t bad enough, he has to deal with a stalker as well. Who in their right mind would stalk him of all people?
This is another exciting installment in this series. It’s a story filled with danger, mystery and sexy bikers. This book will hold your attention until the very end. I highly recommend reading this book.

I really really enjoyed this little story! It has all the feel good moments that make me smile while reading. I couldn’t stop laughing at Tara and Naomi! Those two cracked me up. While I liked Emmersyn(great name Btw) I really loved watching Stone evolve. We see him at his worst and frazzled and then he moves on to his best. I love love love that Stone knew and admitted what he wanted from Emmy. Nothing is sexier than a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. Relationship aside he really became a stand-up guy and I loved all his little ah-ha moments.
Overall this is a story to be enjoyed over and over. It’s a quick read for those times when I just want a little something but fulfilling in all the right places. I highly recommend this!

Vengeance Audio Book by D.M. Earl is the second book in the Journals Trilogy. This is a series that does need to be read/listenedto in order as it is a continuation of the story. I was really looking forward to getting back into this story, I just had to know how it was going to turn out. I was intrigued to find out if Quinn would be able to go through with any of her ideas. I loved that we got to know all the crew a bit more, they added a little extra something to the story. At times I did find it just a little confusing when it switched POV’s suddenly however the narrator did a great job of portraying the change. I listened to this whole book in what felt like no time at all and, with the way it ended, I am very intrigued as to what is going to come next!

To Be a Fae Queen is the first book in Tricia Copeland’s exciting new Realm Chronicles series. As the title suggests, it’s a fantasy series set in a vibrant, crystal-studded world of faeries and monsters. Titania, the protagonist, has been kept protected (over-protected, in her mind) since her older brothers died leaving her the only heir to the throne. She hates being cooped up, particularly when her country is threatened and she knows she could be doing something to help. She’s very practical, coming quickly to solutions and confident in her decisions. My favourite character is Alfreda, whose primary concern seems to be making sure everyone has enough to eat. She’s very down-to-earth and grounds Titania (in one of my favourite moments, Alfreda intervenes to stop Titania setting out still wearing her nightgown!). This is an enjoyable, magical book and I look forward to reading more of the series! It gets a full five stars from me. I would recommend it to teenagers who enjoy fantasy and adventure, particularly those who love fairy stories and want something more grown up but just as magical!

This is book 3 and as in the last 2 books, author Suzanna Lynn does not disappoint, this book ties in the Beauty and the Beast story, mixing it with other fairy tale characters. I have said this before and I will say it again, she does a wonderful job at this. It gives a unique feel to this story, holds your attention all the way through. I recommend this book as well as the other 2 in the series.

This is a good psychological Thriller. I had a hard time putting it down. There are some twists and turns, just when I thought I knew what was going on I found out I had it wrong. The further I got into the story more of the pieces came together. The author did an exceptional job pulling me into this story and making it quite the experience. This book is full of suspense, deception, sadness, family, great characters and more. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely be reading more. This is definitely a must read that I recommend.
