This book was amazing. I could not put it down. Sam and Layla are not two people that should ever be together. Sam is a Vampire. Layla is a vampire hunter from a long line of vampire hunters. Yet even knowing that the attraction is there. They are drawn to each other. It is an attraction they can’t seem to escape. The characters are so great. I can’t wait to read more. I mean I really can’t wait! When the book ended I was so sad that there was no more to read!

I’m a HUGE fan of shifter books especially werewolves, more so fated mates!…..So after reading synopsis I could not wait to dive in, because I just knew I was going to love it! Oh && I did LOL … If that is your kind of jam you’ll love this book too! Very excited for book two NOW!

Claiming my Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack Book 1) by Nicole Howl 3 Stars
Lily has been captured and is a slave within the castle of Wolf Hollow. Her life for the past year has not been pleasant and suddenly turns for the worse when she’s noticed by a few wolves, the Prince himself included. She lives through a harrowing experience to find out that she’s the Prince’s mate. Jason is the next in line for the throne and is currently living under his father’s thumb biding his time until he can take over. A chance encounter allows him to find his mate but she’s one of the human slaves. Can these two overcome circumstances to have their happily ever after?
The story was good but I found that it had a few issues. The story felt rushed to me. There were a lot of sub plots which I’m sure we’re set ups for the rest of the series . To me they were more interesting than the plot of this book. I loved Jason and Dean. The characters interacted well and I enjoyed their banter. I had a hard time connecting to Lily though. One minute she’s weak and lacking confidence, the next she’s strong and snarky. She kept flipping back and forth between the two as if the author couldn’t decide how she wanted this character to be. I think Lily has a lot of potential as well as the story so I will be reading the next book in the series.

A great paranormal romance. There is twists and excitement from start to finish. It leaves you wanting more of their story. A quick read but I cannot wait to pick up the next book to find out what happens next.
The story is around two main characters. Lily a captured human servant and Jason the future Alpha and King of Wolf Hollow. I enjoyed that Lily was not the weak female throughout and only continued to define her true strong-self as the story progressed. Equally Jason is not the over the edge intense insufferable werewolf, but still very much the assertive mate when the time arrives. Humans live in fear of the Shifters and do their best to avoid drawing attention on themselves. When Lily manages to gain more notice than she ever wanted after the Royals return home things in the house start to teeter on a dangerous shift in balance. Are their differences too much for Wolf Hollow? Will they get to find a happy ending?
A small trigger warning that the concept of rape is there, but not in graphic detail of said event.

This book really blew me away. I went into this expecting your typical second chance romance story and honestly I was taken aback at how kuchen I connected with these characters. They journey was so turbulent but completely realistic. The author had such a good grasp on their development throughout the book. It felt quite fast paced for a romance as well which I think added to the overall effect. I read this book so fast because I simply couldn’t put it down. This is a great story and one I would highly recommend.

This paranormal romance is the first in the series and oh what a beginning it is! This author really has the ability to grab your attention and hold it. I couldn’t put this book down.
I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Lily is a human slave to the Wolf Hollow Pack, Jason is the son of the Alpha, what could possibly happen? I found the storyline to be quite unique and different and that was part of its draw for me.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that it ended too soon. I look forward to book two.

I really enjoyed this book. Lily is a captive and a servant for the King and his family. The servants are treated as unworthy captives as they are only human after all. The rest of the household is made up of the Hollow Wolves Pack. Their dominance knows no bounds. They take and do as they wish. All is not what it seems in the castle. When Prince Jason finds his mate. The castle will never be the same again.
This was a quick read but will keep your attention until the last page. Excited to read book two.

This is a quick romance book. The author does a brilliant job of getting the information needed across in a manner which befits the book. Its your typical fairytail trope rich guy and poor girl. Regan you root for all the way through such a likeable character the way they interact with each other feels so natural and flows well. Things font seem so good when Jeremy parents find out about their realtionships. A fight to prove true love.

Dahlia is back on the scene this time with a whole crew to support her! A series of murders has her and Alex Creed working together again whether they like it or not. Things are complicated by untrustworthy cohorts and multiple lovers and memories that are not Dahlia’s own. This book is just as action-packed as the last. It’s a fun ride and enjoyable listen on Audible. I look forward to the next in the Nite Fire series.
This is a fantastic contemporary romance by an author that I had never read before but if this is any example of their work, I’ll definitely be reading again. I really. Really enjoyed this book. I loved Regan and Jeremy’s story. Both are great characters that I was really able to associate with and enjoyed reading about. I really could have read about this couple for hours and hours. They are both very relatable and interesting characters. The author has done a great job in writing these characters. I was really drawn into their story straight away and the author does a great job of keeping the story flowing and keeping the reader fully engrossed in the story. Along the way, you are taken on an emotional journey that pulls at the heartstrings at times. This is very much an opposites attract story. Jeremy is from a very wealthy family, whereas Regan has had a very difficult and poor upbringing. I do like reading an opposites attract story and this is great example of one. I loved this book and it definitely deserves the 5 stars I’m giving it.

Ruthless Heir (Mafia Elite Book 5) by Amy McKinley. I absolutely love this series. This is the 5th book and I have loved each and every one! This one is the story of Luc Savino who has taken on a new business. He and Summer meet in an unconventional way but once they meet sparks fly! Summer is starting a new job and recognizes her boss as a one night stand from last summer. She wonders if this will make her life miserable. Luc now thinks she’s a spy for the other Mafia family. Little does he know but she is on the run from that other family. They have already killed her best friend. When Luc is taking a business trip he takes Summer with him thinking she is the reason money is missing from his bank account. Little does he know she is in danger and its the other family messing with his business. Will Luc and Summer make it out of this alive. I highly recommend reading the first 4 books in order to understand the characters better. Love this series!
The Hunted was an absolutely fantastic read. I loved the chemistry and connection between Sam and Layla. I need the second book asap after that ending lol. I got sucked in (pun intended) and couldn’t put this book down. It was my first book by this author but won’t be the last! Highly recommend if you like paranormal romance and enemies to lovers.

Lily is trapped in the Huntingtons home of the Wolf Hollow Royals. As a human slave, she is forbidden to look the Huntingtons in the eye, as that is cause for punishment. But Lily tries to keep her head down and as fate would have it she looks up. Caught in the act she is sent to the dungeon to await her punishment. Of course there is that one bad guard who has targeted Lily. Prince Jason feels he has found his true mate. Only she is forbidden as she is human. When his wolf finds Lily, Jason steps forward and seeks his one true mate. Even If he has to go against his father and his guard. What a mess for Lily, she must try and keep away from the guard, even though he is much stronger and threatening. Will Lily and Jason get their HEA? I found this story to be fast paced and highly emotional. There were times, when all of my emotions were on my sleeve. This author has a knack for details, I love that! The characters are strong and Lily steps forward and finds her inner strength. This is the first in this series. I can’t wait to see where this author takes Lily and Jason next.

It’s Caspian’s birthday. Grandpa always leaves him a special gift under his bed. This year’s gift takes him on an adventure that has him trading items until he has what he needs for Miss Susie, the cafeteria lady. What a fun story! I love the progressive steps the story takes as the tale progresses. The story is fun and the items are objects that teach younger children new words. I also love how the story shows that helping others is a wonderful thing. Fun and excited learning! That’s a winner in this Grandma’s eyes. “I want a pencil like that.” (my grandson ((he’s autistic)) review). I would recommend this story for all all children. A fun story for bedtime.
I have been a long time fan favorite of this author, the author always crafts amazing stories and characters that are enjoyable, and are real as they come! This book was no different!
Zenni or Colton were both captivating characters. I found they had their differences, at times I actually was rooting for one or the other for different reasons. I kind of expected myself to take Zenni’s side the whole reading duration, but I found I was torn between the views of both at different times. I found that was a surprise in my reading, but a welcome one. It was not persuading me to be just one sided. Other than that i LOVED their chemistry. It was something that was full of fire works, but held a lot of sweetness to get to those fire works. Really loved the appeal. Wonderful read! Loved it!
Amazing read full of that mind blowing passion we love to read about! Love this author and I do highly recommend them if you have not enjoyed their works yet. This book is a must read, highly recommend!
This was a very quick, witty and adorable read for kids! I absolutely loved how the author showed kids how to “barter” or trade as Caspian did a lot of that to finally get what the notebook predicted. Then he learned a little cool fact, too! I really hope this author continues this series with all sorts of words and fun facts! The kids loved it.
This was a very interesting twist on the demon angel dynamic and I loved it!! Beelzebub (aka Zee) is one of the Seven Princes of Hell. His job is to go around the world and tempt humans with any type of gluttony that he can. He jumps from different hosts, taking possession with permission, and gets the host to experience their hearts desires. He lives through them and experiences it all. It can never be enough to fill his glutenous soul. Once finished he leaves the body broken, weak, and marked for hell. When he comes across a woman who seems to be able to ignore his influence he is intrigued and must try harder to get into her. Clara is an empath and can sense other people’s emotions. She uses her gift of baking to make people feel better. But taking care of others can be draining. She gets weaker with each person that she helps. When Zee appears to her and tells her he is there to help her, she feels a bit off. Thinking he is an angel she starts to trust him only to banish him once she finds out that he is in fact a demon and not the angel she thought. Demons don’t scare away that easy though and unfortunately this demon is attracting other monsters into her life by being around her so much. Fighting to save a soul is not something that he does. He wants to erase them all from the earth! But she is different and he can’t help but be drawn to her. Will his meddling cause more problems then it’s worth? Will this demon protect her soul? Or will he mark it for hell. Will Clara forgive Zee for messing with her life? Or will she die because of it!?! You won’t be disappointed in this book once you pick it up. So hard to put down even!! Enjoy!

A god fighting his fate. A prince burdened with secrets. And a romance that could end in flames.
Apollo is a deity… almost. Half mortal and refusing to take his position as god of the sun, he spends his nights drowning out haunting memories and his days avoiding responsibilities.
Until his father forces him into an ultimatum:
Ascend immediately.
Or spend the year mentoring under the obnoxious Prince Hyacinth.
Forced together, Apollo and Hyacinth grapple with their mutual disdain for each other.
But what starts as a kindling of irritation begins to burn into something new. A spark that, if it turns to flame, could incinerate everything they’ve always protected.
A reimagining of the Greek myth of Apollo and Prince Hyacinth, this NA, enemies-to-lovers fantasy series is a whirlwind journey full of romance, intrigue, and enthralling characters.
A Portuguese woman desperate to save her vineyards…
Julia Costa is the best winemaker in the Douro. When a greedy Englishman threatens the land her family has held for generations, Julia prepares to defend her legacy and independence by any means necessary.
The Englishman sent to uncover her secrets…
The last thing Griffin Maxwell wants is to waste time mired in a Portuguese backwater. Still, to guarantee a partnership with Oporto’s largest trading firm, he agrees to travel up the Douro river and chase some reluctant debtor.

An enemy too powerful to fight alone…

I have to say, I enjoyed Beelzebub The Gift of Gluttony far more than I anticipated I would. Once I started this book, I was all in and could not put it down. This was my first time reading a book of this particular genre, and all I can say is wow!! It is absolutely thrilling; I couldn’t put it down! Abbey always knew something was different about her, not that she was particularly happy about that, but she can’t exactly change it. However, it proves to be a particularly useful gift when she has to use her gift, as well as having to discover her own inner strength, to figure out why students at her new school keep going missing. This book is full of mystery, and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat! This book is an amazingly fast paced and thrilling with surprised when you’d least expect them, yet the plot flows perfectly!! If you like young adult teenage angst, plenty of drama, clowns, and even ghosts, this is perfect for you! Allen Evan’s created a wonderful experience when writing this book, and I’m so glad I stepped out of my normal comfort zone to try it! Though it is the second book of the ghost girl series I was able to read it and not feel like I was missing any information I needed despite having not read the first book featuring out fourteen-year-old heroine.

My first read by this author, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As with most werewolf romance stories, there are several common themes – werewolves are primal and violent, there are fated mates and the goddess, and there’s evil men and valiant men. There are a few seductive moments, suspense, shape shifting and violence. It was interesting enough that I’ll continue to read the series to see what becomes of Lily and Jason.
Lily is a human servant of the Wolf Hollow pack. She has a grueling schedule for terrible masters. The king and alpha is a cruel man who enjoys making others fear him. Everyone in his presence strictly keeps their eyes away to avoid challenging him. Lily has a miserable life as a servant to the wolf pack, but has made a couple of friends that look out for her. When she is cornered and attacked in her bedroom by an abusive soldier, she is rushed to the royal families medical facility. It is here she really meets Prince Jason, the future alpha. As a human, she expects and anticipates the prince to mistreat her and is determined to stay out of his way…but Jason has caught her scent and realizes she is his mate. He is drawn to her, uncaring of the status difference between them. Once he learns who Lily’s attacker is, he challenges Callum.
This story is pretty fast paced and kept me interested enough to keep reading. It is a shorter book and the interest made for an especially quick read. It seems as though it could be a bit more polished, but was enjoyable and has you cheering for Lily and Jason and liking Dean and Amara.

Deacon returns home after a career in racing, that didn’t end well. We follow him as he tries to deal with the challenges that life has thrown at him.
Olivia turns Deacon’s head and turns his life upside down again.
Are they destined for happily ever after or fated to break each other apart?
Well that was a rollercoaster of a book! Full of action, cliff hangers and a few tear jerker moments. This was a fantastic first book in the series and I will be continuing in the series.

Amazing story 5 out of 5 stars for me. The JC Brown and L Lane had me on my toes when it came to Clara and Zee a.k.a Beelzebub. See Clara did not know who Zee was until the truth came out and lead her to seek refuge with God, but Zee got too deep with Clara and had to fight off so many demons and angels so she can be his. In the end, I thought for a fact that Lucifer was going to have Clara and have it his way since Zee was going to disobey him. Now there is one character that I was not so much fond of was Max, he kept on pushing Clara into a relationship but she was not ready. Like she said, ” I’m just not looking for a relationship.”

Claiming My Mate by Nicole Howl is a fast-paced and incredibly enjoyable paranormal romance story. Lily and Jason are fated mates. However, he is the prince and alpha to be and she is the kidnapped and enslaved servant to the royal family. The book is adventurous with well-written characters. I really enjoyed Lily, Jason, and Dean’s interactions. Seeing all that Lily had to go through and her inner dialogue broke my heart. The plot is great and while I enjoyed the pace, I do wish it’d been slowed down a bit for more plot development. Some things just didn’t make sense to happen that quickly, like Lily’s strength development. This book is a fast, enjoyable read. I was so engrossed that I was surprised when the end came. I eagerly await the sequel.

This is a quick and entertaining romance. It can be done in a weekend. Zenni is in Everwood County, Georgia to check on her grandparent’s house. A hurricane had come through the area and wiped out the Easterly neighborhood. She stops to check out the Everwood County Plantation, a piece of her family history. Her grandmother told her that her ancestors were kept there (slavery). Colton is a hot billionaire from the area. Local bastard raised by his father, he’s keeping a dark secret that he doesn’t tell anyone. He falls for Zenni and all bets are off. These two have a few challenges to work through. They also have the complication of falling madly in love. Can they work through the plantation issue? He wants to tear it down; she wants to save it. This was a witty book. The flirting will crack you up. It did remind me a little of Pretty Woman. Coltan is like a teenager in an adult man’s body. He’s had a rough past and just needs to let those walls down. We can relate to that. He has a human side, even being a billionaire. Sandy is my absolute favorite. She did her best to get these two together. Momma Lovebird. Zenni, she was just selfish. I had a hard time relating to her. It could be because I’m as stubborn as her. The characters were well-written and they did make for a fun story. The plot felt a little out of place in spots because it really felt like the plantation wasn’t really involved too much in the story. It was more an accessory than the main focus. There is also a little spice to add some kick. Overall, I recommend the story for all romance lovers. It’s funny, quick and enjoyable.
Wow! Great story, this one had my emotions all over the place. At multiple different times I was either mad at Zenni or Colton. Colton is a real tool in the beginning and I can’t see how Zenni can stand talking to him for more than 5 minutes. Colton wants to tear down the plantation and Zenni wants to keep it up. I was back and forth between both sides fighting along with them. Their romance was steamy and sweet and it was a nice short read that really reminded me of our terrible past. I love that Zenni was so protective of her family’s history and wish more people were like that now days. I love this author and her take on BWWM romance and look forward to reading more!
I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. This is a well written story that has characters that have a lot of heart and certainly bring romance to a new level. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters from the first word. They are connectable and really made the story for me. I enjoyed how the author was able to bring the story to life by her writing skills. Her attention to details gave the story a realistic feel. I enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout that made the story easy to read. Zenni and Colton have such great chemistry throughout as well as great growth. They are strong, creative characters that are supportive of all the characters. Find out what happens when a fight over a plantation turns into something neither one expected. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.
5 Stars Ruthless Heir (Mafia Elite Book 5) by Amy McKinley
Ruthless Heir is the fifth book in the Mafia Elite Series and my absolute favorite yet. I’ve been waiting for this book and man oh man it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend reading this series in order if you haven’t already started each book helps in the understanding of what has been going on and you get to know the characters better plus it’s a really good series. From the moment I started reading I knew there was going to be no stopping until I finished. This is Summer and Luc’s story. He’s about to take over as the new Heir and shes fixing to be on the run. I really don’t want to give to much away. These characters have a chemistry between them and there is definitely attraction. Get ready to be taken on quite the ride and be prepared to be hanging onto the edge of your seat there’s definitely some twists and turns. I highly recommend reading not only this book but the whole series. I can’t wait for more from this Author.
